Overall was a good experience at the hotel and it was reasonably priced . The Plus points where it was Located 2-3 mins walk from blue masjid, most of the staff where friendly. House keeping came every day and the two lady where helpful. now for the not so good points. Room was small, furniture was out dated, breakfast did not have that much variety. But again for the price i paid i can not complain.

The reception staff (specially Jimal) were really helpful. But the property itself unfortunately hasn’t been well kept and it has very poor condition which is such a pity as it’s located in an accessible area.
I don’t recommend this hotel, better try somewhere else.

This property was really scary and pathetic. The images of the room that we got on the website while booking the room online was completely opposite that what we actually got the room in reality. The room was very small in size with 2 tiny beds for 2 adults. The room was full of mosquitoes in the night time and we couldn’t sleep properly during our stay. Besides, room was completely stinky and commode seat was broken which was sliding completely from right to left while using it.

We had to book another hotel at our another cost though we had booked this hotel for 2 nights.

Excellent location!

We stayed here for a week with our kids. The breakfast was okay. They have the traditional turkish breakfast with cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, egg, cheese and bread. Cereals for the kiddos. We checked in early, they were able to accommodate us 2 hours prior to checkin. Customer service was a little slow, but not terrible. The rooms are smaller, needs some repairs, holes on the walls and shower wasnt as clean as other hotels. After the first night i told my husband we need to check out and go someplace else.

However, upon exploring the area at night, we were surprised beyond belief. The hotel is literally a 2 minute walk to Arasta Bazaar! Maybe even less than that. Lovely, bright restaurants and cafes, tons and tons of shops. Happy about our discovery, we walked another 2-3 minutes and there was the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia! Every tourists dream. Since we stayed for a week, we saved SO much money just walking! Everything is literally right there! Nice Hanams (turkish bath), many many restaurants! Grand Bazaar was maybe a 15 minute walk. And right next door to the hotel is a Spa! Literally 3
5 steps away from the hotel. And even better, next to the spa is a travel agency where we booked our tickets to a dinner cruise. Sure the hotel isnt 5 star. But it was worth it for us. A place to sleep comfortably, have a simple breakfast, SAVE money. We ended up staying the entire time. Staff were friendly and gave us everything we needed. I will most definitely stay again!

Overall not met the requirements. The ac was orignally working. Requestes 2 x single beds per room but got 1 room with double. Advised and told them about the messages i sent yet they were like no. The breakfast was absolutly crap. The tea kept running out. The cake kept running out and eggs. When asked for more got told finished. They then gave us another room with 2 single beds. The room was small and cramped. The beds were not single beds and smaller than small beds. The ventilation was absolutely non existent. The staff werent very helpful at all. Asked for hot watee for tea but apparently they didnt have any. 30 mins later apparently hot water became existent. We took some cups in our room as we wanted to have tea. The staff came and kncoked on our door. I advised him allready told your receptionist and he said ok. Overall the experience was not good never mind excellent. Sink was cracked. The electric tripped. The other room had a shower blockage. I wouldnt be staying here again

worst hotel of my life and very dirty

Do not stay here. This is the worst hotel I have ever seen in my life. I understand that hotels across the world may not always be like US hotels but this place is terrible. Our room was a box and there was barely any space for the bed. The walls were peeling. The bathroom has mold and mildew. The air conditioning doesn’t work and there is no window. We left for dinner and came back to find a jumping bug on the bed and grabbed our luggage and left to find a new hotel. To be fair management offered an “upgraded room” before we left but I don’t think it would have been any better. If you’re looking for a cheap place to safely lay your head for a night or two then this is NOT IT. Do yourself a favor and don’t book here. You will regret it.

As a female traveller, I did not feel safe there. The walls were paper-thin, the area was shady and the staff made me uncomfortable. The airport transfer arranged was inefficient, resulting in me standing outside in the cold for over an hour while they located a car for me, and the person organising it was extremely unprofessional. All of that was tolerable, until someone used a key and walked into my room at around 12.30 am in the night when I was asleep, luckily waking me up enough to say something to them. I stayed up all night and then moved hotels despite getting no money back because I did not feel safe

Hotel was well located, minutes walk to many of the tourist areas. The hotel was fully booked the night we stayed which was fine however we were allocated a room which had likely been recently renovated. There was a double bed a 2 twins however all pushed together to make one giant like bed, as we were just 2 people this wasn't much of an issue but was a little strange.

The bathroom light didnt work which was slightly more annoying, as we just stayed the one night we didn't say anything and i'm sure if we did they would have changed it for us.

Breakfast was ok and the hotel staff were nice. An ok experience.

I was surprised to see a very nice breakfast. just remember this is not a 5 star hotel so the price was worth every penny. This was a very good location within the tourist area making the 5 night trip absolutely worthwhile. The best part of the holiday was the outstanding customer service recieved by staff Behruz and Barish. They were fabulous and very helpful whether that be something to do with the hotel and or guide us around istanbul. It really made the difference. The standard of the hotel matched with the rating of the hotel but with the service recieved it was money well spent. I havnt got anything bad to say about my experience.

Was a terrible experience at this hotel, being over charged by a member of staff (CAN) for misleading guests from the start during check in of their holiday...Having an unscrupulous distrustful personality...Health & safety issues, due to inadequate poor lighting on staircase & passages to all rooms..Small rooms with very bad TV reception, plus no English speaking channels..Mini bar & fridge filled with unhealthy...Junk food..Chocolates/drinks/crisps, plus with over priced charges.

These little hotels are all over in Sultanahmet. You just want a safe, clean place to sleep and a good shower. What is always important is how nice the staff is and helpful. In our case it was where to park our car which is not small task. The staff took care of parking our car and all of the staff were very nice and helpful.
We stay in Sultanahmet when in that part of town for traffic in Istanbul is the worst in the world so we try to drive as little as possible.

We stayed at Holiday upon our arrival to Istanbul and two weeks later upon our departure for a total of about 4 days. When I arrived I had to wait for a couple of hours prior to getting a room..this is after 17 hours of traveling!!! That was my main and only complaint about the service during my stays. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and spoke English. The breakfast was fresh. The location cannot be beat. You are within walking distance to everything on the Sultanahmet side of town. The rooms are pretty tiny but have everything you need and are comfortable and clean. I felt pretty safe in my room and in the neighborhood. There are tons of tourists in the area. You are near laundry, stores, restaurants, bazaars...

From the very beginning the receptionist was rude. They gave us wrong information about the price of additional person. The breakfast food ran out and there was no replacements despite being one of the first people to go down to breakfast. The worst was there was no towels at all from 11am to 11pm and the toilet smelt disgusting. Most unpleasant experience.

Location is good near to blue mosque and arasta bazaar.

i stayed for 5 days 4 nights without any complimentary of airport transfer.
my booking is for family suites..but they gave us 2 small bedrooms with air cond did not function well and leaking...after a lot of argument with the manager ..then we only get the family room on the third night...very bad experience with istanbul hotel.....
we have to transfer to another room on the second night..

Is it close tot he blue mosque, hajisofia, topikopi YES, easy 10 min stroll. But then again so are the 5* hotels that cost a fraction higher in the area! if you were to book and Istanbul Holiday Hotel was the cheapest then only book for a few day not the entire trip..the hotel is basic, pics look better then it really is. WIFI had issues, breakfast was dry and so repetitive with the same cheese and cornflakes combo. if you booked the economy room be prepared for the shock of your life, the tiniest room ever, strugled with a bag in the room! but when i noted the issue the manager kindly upgraded us (no fee) to a premium room which did allow us to breath! just read another review by someone else who said the same thing. i would have been happy if the price we paid was a season peak price and a the difference between Istanbul Holiday Hotel and a 5* hotel was a big difference but when you pay close to a 5* hotel price but end up compromising due to the location to the city center (where the attractions are) then you feel cheated.
if i was to advise you then book (only if it cheap) for a a day, two or three..then move to another hotel in different part of istanbul. As istanbul has one of the best public transport system i have seen (nearly rivals the one we have in london) you are never to far from attraction of istanbul and with each journey costing 2.15TL (about £0.5p) is cheap to move around.

We went away to Istanbul for the weekend and this hotel was perfect for our holiday... The staff were lovely and helpful, the rooms were clean and warm, the rooms are abit on the small side but if you are sightseeing all day and you will only use it to sleep at night it is fine. The breakfast is fine to start you off on your day. I recommend you get a standard room as they have windows which overlook the street. Location is perfect, walking distance to everything! The price was excellent for what it offered.

Sarnic West was perfectly adequate for the price. The rooms were very small but clean. The location is fantastic - easy walking distance to all the sites. The only hiccup was that I had booked a double bed, but my husband and I were given a room with two single beds.

We were thrilled with our stay at Sarnic West. The location is superb .. we could easily walk to Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Archaelogical museum. Arasta Bazaar just at top of hill. Slightly longer distance but still easily possible to walk to Spice Bazaar and Grand Bazaar. Lots to do locally. We received excellent help and information at reception, and they can book day trips and excursions. It was also good to be picked up from the hotel. Rooms are small, but functional. Air conditioning struggled to cope, but it was ok. Good family atmosphere. And we felt very safe.

This was a horrible hotel. We booked a room for two adults, but the room was so small, even one person wouldn't have been able to live comfortably in it. There was no closet to put our things. There was only one bed, and that was about 50% of the room. The bathroom was so small, we couldn't even turn around once we went in. In the street below, they have a restaurant with karaoke that goes on until 1 am. Since the room is not equipped with AC, the windows have to be kept open, and the noises from the street kept us awake almost all night. The front desk tried to sell us airport shuttle and charged us 30 euros per person. If you go to the travel agent around the corner of the hotel, it's only 5 euros so go there!!! I don't recommend anyone staying at this hotel. If you are willing to pay 30 USD more, you can find the best hotel in the same area and it is more than worth the extra money. This is definitely not worth the 3 stars, and I hope that no one else is fooled by the rating.

2 minute walk to Agias Sophia and the Blue Mosque

The hotel is situated in a fantastic location. I didn't expect luxury when booking this place, but I did think it would be cleaner than what we found. The reason we chose this place was that it was affordable, close to everything we wanted to see, and the fact that we would only need a place to rest for the two night were spent there.

Booked king bed, ended up getting 2 twins. AC not operational, ended up getting a fan. Bathroom fan was loud.

Great location, small room

Staff was friendly and made up feel welcome. The location is fantastic just behind the Blue Mosque. The room was extremely small. I have stayed in some small rooms before, but this room had no closet to put bags. The bags were either on the bed or we were. The bathroom was also extremely small. During our stay the hotel was still being renovated, and the work crew would start at 8am and they would smoke in the hotel.

Everything in this hotel is very small and no A/C. However, location is very good to see around.
