We had another wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent and incredibly convenient, and the staff truly make the experience special. Everyone is friendly, approachable, and consistently welcoming. Their positive attitude and willingness to help really stand out.

This was our second time staying here, and overall we were very happy again. We booked the same room type as our previous visit. The first time, our room felt very modern and newly updated. On this stay, the room was slightly more dated. That said, it was still very clean, comfortable, and enjoyable just a difference we happened to notice.

One additional piece of feedback relates to the TVs. The TV in our room was quite old, and we were hoping to watch some sports during our stay. The only TV showing the games was in the breakfast area, but it was small and not really set up for viewing. Updating the in-room TVs would definitely enhance the guest experience.

Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return again. Thank you to the team for another pleasant visit!

Staff was friendly and welcoming and helpful. I arrived very early and was offered breakfast even though i just got fed on the flight. It was nice to have a place to sit and relax and have coffee, and I was notified via whatsapp before 11 that my room was ready while I was out sightseeing. Breakfast was nice as well with some hot items changed from day to day. All in all, the place was low key and efficient and very comfortable - not to mention the location that allows you to walk to most of the major sites. Uber comes very fast if you need one. There are taxis which double as uber sitting outside all the time.

The room was a bit dated but warm, very clean and comfortable. Everything from soap to robes provided, including a tub and safe.
Entire all-male staff is fabulous. Very helpful, polite and personable.
Breakfast is provided, varied and good. Breakfast room was comfortable and not cramped. Wish they had close captioning on TV.
Hotel is in convenient location to major sites, restaurants, and bus on Kennedy Drive.
Stayed a week and never a problem but me forgetting my wallet in safe. They texted before I got to far away and it was at the desk for quick retrieval.
Highly recommend. No glitz just nice people.

Situated in a great location, near the mosque and not too far from public transportation modes. Room was cleaned daily! And breakfast was amazing. My only complaint is the rooftop was closed for winter unbeknownst to me. The rooftop is the main reason I booked this hotel but didn’t notice any notification that it was closed. The photos in the online advertisement are misleading. It's not worth the price charged, as is 100% of the activities and products in Istanbul, which is a huge tourist trap in every way. The hotel needs painting and maintenance. The room smells of mildew, the amenities are terrible, the towels feel like sandpaper, and the bed is a standard double size, not a large as advertised. There's no temperature control in the room, and the heating is central, so at night you alternate between a sauna where you melt from sweating or freezing if you open the window to have a comfortable temperature. The pillows are also terrible. The breakfast is weak, and every day the food, like eggs, bread, and sausage, was cold. The only good highlight is the lady who makes the stuffed pita bread on the spot, hot and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

Staff were the highlight, so SO welcoming and and helpful. Always a greeting. My husband and I tried their recommended restaurants .... brilliant. The breakfast room/common area/bar was perfect, not only for breakfast but also for a drop-in coffee after a hectic morning. Rooftop bar offered the Bosphorus to view in all its glory. The gym was compact but excellent, loved the water bottle and fresh towel that sat on each piece of fitness equipment. Our room was comfortable and quiet and clean, even though it had not been renovated. Brilliant location in the historic centre. Walking distance to the hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and tram. Absolutely recommend.

Overall, the property and staff aren't bad. Not outstanding, but still fine in all ways considered. The hotel was clean. Room was a tad small. Bathtub/showers were a little difficult to step down from due to their height so if you slip you're in big trouble. No handle bars anywhere. The biggest issue in regards to the facility is safety in my opinion. Only half the rooms are on the side \"with an elevator\", the rest go up a stair case with very narrow steps. Therefore, if you have mobility issues, be prepared to struggle a bit. The hotel restaurant has good food and a nice size menu but is extremely pricey when compared to many nearby restaurants. The rooftop ambiance is nice, just be prepared to pay for it. Breakfast is great and offers good initial variety. That being said, it does not change from day to day. Therefore, be prepared to eat the same thing over and over. The gozleme made by a wonderful lady in the back room are delicious. Perhaps a little bit different ingredients beyond meat, cheese and spinach but overall a great addition. Staff at the front desk are great, they'll arrange tours and other outings for you, just be prepared to pay a bit of an inflated price. Location is great, it's a steep hike to the central squares but overall a short distance. If I return to Istanbul, I would likely select a different hotel but would not discourage anyone from booking this one.

My room (a Standard Double Room) was quite small and badly needed renovating. (The hotel seemed to have two distinct portions to it, and perhaps the portion that I was in has not had an update but the other has?) When I checked in, there were guests in the rooms on either side of my room and I could hear their rather loud conversations perfectly, as if they were standing in my room along side of me. I went to the front desk and asked if perhaps there was a more quiet room they could move me to, but there was not. But in the end, sleeping with earplugs worked fine. ALL of the staff were extremely kind and eager to help. Although I did not feel unsafe in the neighborhood at all, it had a run-down quality to it as well. The proximity to the Blue Mosque and several key sights was excellent… but despite this, I would not book a hotel in that particular area on any future visit.

This hotel was amazing. Extremely convenient to the sites of old Istanbul like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkappi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Full continental buffet plus fresh made Turkish flat breads to order. Rooms were clean. They provided ample water for your room and your daily excursions. We traveled as a family and it was great that they had triple occupancy rooms If you haven’t arranged tours, they help with that too. Top notch service and location. Definitely worth the money and would stay again here when we return to Istanbul.

A rip-off!

Unfortunately, this hotel was a rip-off! I only realised this when I arrived into our room which was down in the basement level, therefore we had no windows and there was a strong mildew smell. We checked in very late at night with our young kids and were so exhausted from traveling so we could not be bothered to ask to switch. But knowing I paid nearly 200EU for THAT room was very upsetting. The location is great, and the hotels all around us were beautiful and half the price. Some positives tho, the lovely breakfast food (although also served in a window-less room) and the staff! All the guys at the front desk were very very lovely and extremely helpful.

Amira hotel is very close to main attraction sites. Around six minutes of walking distance with tram station around two more minutes away. One thing to remember, walking will be in a hilly area. BN1 bus service and few restaurants are very close by.

Hotel serves really good breakfast and a rooftop restaurant. Building is old but decorated well. May need another refresh soon. Staffs were very friendly and attentive. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Istanbul.

We stayed at this cozy hotel in Istanbul and had a great overall experience. The staff were incredibly helpful—they assisted with our airport transfers both to and from the hotel, which made everything much easier. The breakfast was amazing, with a great variety and delicious flavors.

The only downside was during our second stay—the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned, and the shower still had hair from the previous guest. That was disappointing, but aside from that, everything else was lovely. I would still consider staying here again thanks to the service and location

The location and the availability of restaurants in the area plus their own buffet breakfast all represented great value.Upon arrival’Serkan’sat down with us and on a map drew the location of the sights and the easiest way (walking) to get to them. All the staff were extremely helpful and went far and above to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The room was large, bright, clean and comfortable with a terrific balcony. We will definitely stay there on our next visit. When leaving for the airport (set fare) they advised that we pay the driver under their supervision, before leaving the hotel to ensure we were not ripped off, which apparently does happen.
