I strongly warn against staying at this property. My wife and her 70-year-old mother were staying here for a week-long trip. On the fourth day, my wife’s sister visited for 15 minutes to help her elderly mother dress for the day.

The hotel manager immediately confronted them, aggressively demanding additional money for the short visitor. When they refused to pay this arbitrary fee, the manager became threatening and demanded they vacate the room immediately. For their own safety, they were forced to leave and find emergency accommodation elsewhere at a high cost.

The behavior of the management was unprofessional, predatory, and made my family feel completely unsafe. Neither the hotel nor Hotels.com has taken responsibility for this breach of contract or the safety of the guests. We were forced to your safety or your money.

I chose this hotel for convenience (close to historical district of Istambul) and because I could accommodate my family of 5.
This is a local hotel in an old building. Super close to the Blue Mosque and the palace.
Staff is welcoming and accommodating.
Room was average and cleanliness can be improved. We were on the street side and it was very noisy. One of the bed was narrow and too firm.
Breakfast was included but often lacking proper replenishment.

Location was convenient to sights and transportation, with plenty of dining options close by.
I booked an economy room on the main floor hoping to avoid stairs with my large suitcase, but the main floor is down a flight. Luckily staff carried my bag for me.

Vieles im Zimmer war defekt. Fenster konnte man nicht schließen. Duschkopf Halterung defekt. Türen gehen schlecht zu. Air condition schlecht einstellbar. Lampen funktionieren nicht richtig. Für 3 Personen ein Badetuch. Kein Toilettenpapier.

Reasonable hotel, kind staff especially Serdar. If you’re a walker you can pretty much walk everywhere you need to go or use the T1. The room was clean and comfortable with AC and fridge. Bed mattress was from the Ottoman era 😜The breakfast is OUTSTANDING! Very needed when you are doing so much walking in the day.

Nice place in the middle of the old town

Pros:
-Very friendly and helpful staff
-Fantastic location minutes from the main sights in the old town.
-Clean and comfy beds
-Nice breakfast

Cons:
-Old building so the sound isolation is almost non-existent, meaning you can hear everything the other guests are doing in the bathroom.
-Heater started leaking water leaving a huge puddle on the floor

Sardar & team are a great host, right from check in until check out well taken care of.Sardar gave us recommendations as go how to spend the day and ensure time & effort to cover areas of interest is well utilised. the cruise dining suggested was great experience. breakfast spread is decent, @sardar as mentioned please get a bread toaster :-). lastly do not miss the visit to leather factory for some high-quality leather stuff..sardar is the man. overall enriching and wonderful stay at instanbul. thank - you Sardar and team. hope to see you soon. The hotel is amazingly located, that and the service of the people working there are thr big plus! On the downside, basically the pictures on expedia DOES NOT match the reallity.... the rooms are tiny, the hotel is really old and it's kinda dirty...

We had a good time because we really came to the room just to sleep and didn't spend time in the hotel... it is very close to Sultanahamat, so you will be walking distance from blue mosque or Hagia Sophia...

Older property with small rooms - but that’s what you get in Istanbul for this price point. The AC worked and the bathroom was functional so you have all the necessities. The breakfast was a general Turkish spread. The location is great for being right by the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia. The staff were helpful and kind. Thank you!

The bed we had was very hard.
They need to update with new furniture. The lobby had uncomfortable sitting sofas.
Is in a very safe, convenient area with all the sights and restaurants near by.
Not good for older people since there is no elevator.

Great staff, perhaps overpriced?

Really lovely and *very* helpful staff. Easy walking distance to the core square of Sultanamet, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern etc. Rooms are dated but clean. Two quibbles: first, the wifi didn't really work in my room (though it did downstairs in the main level); second, I think this place is overpriced to comparable other guest houses in the area. Relatively expensive for what you get.

This is a 1-2 start hotel. The best way to describe is “adequate”. If you are on a budget and looking for a decent no frills place near the blue mosque, this does it. The breakfast was terrible. We are one day and avoided it for the rest of the trip. The walls are super thin and you can hear pretty clearly what folks next to your room. No napkin / tissue paper provided, an electric pot is there to boil water but no tea / coffee provided. Rooms are tiny even for sultanahmet standards. When we asked for iron and ironing board, we got an old iron that has stiff stuck on it. When I asked for board the guy at front desk said just use the bed or floor as no board available. The folks at the front desk were helpful but clearly they had no idea how to run a hotel that caters to foreigners.

It was a beautiful stay! The staff went above and beyond and were so helpful when it came to telling us about the area and giving us tips. They were very kind and thoughtful and always greeted us with a hello and a smile. The room was spacious and clean and the beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious; it was a little repetitive but still good. We were staying on the 3rd floor so it was a little difficult not having an elevator for the elderly in our group but we expected this before our trip. The location is very convenient; it was walking distance to many landmarks. And close by to a few grocery stores so we had access to everything we needed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

From the moment of our arrival the young staff in this small family run hotel could not have been more welcoming, friendly, or helpful.
It is a simple hotel, very centrally located, but tucked away in a quiet side street.
The room was immaculately clean with comfortable beds.
There are two roof terraces with great views over the Bosporus.
Breakfast was simple but with plenty of choice of local dishes and more conventional choices.
I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay for a long weekend break in Istanbul.

Manager and Orbitz were supposed to refund the rest of the nights as I moved to a different hotel. No refund received yet in spite of many calls and chats! Orbitz never contacted the hotel!!

Lovely clean hotel. Management endeavours to ensure that visitors had everything they needed. We had asked for a ground floor room thinking it meant no stairs but this proved to be a misunderstanding. However, the hotel changed room for us as soon as they could. If anyone wants no stairs ask for a lobby floor room. Overall, very clean, very close to Blue Mosque, polite and hard working staff members and a good breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

The location is great! Very close to sights, restaurants and shops. A fantastic restaurant close by is New Season. Very reasonably price, excellent food and service. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is yummy. The staff is so kind and helpful. The hotel staff will even book a Covid test for you administered at the hotel for $18 USD. Sightseeing tours and airport transfer can also be booked through the hotel. If you can, bump up the top floor rooms. They’re beautiful with a patio and a sea view.
