This property is in the old section of Cape Town and next to Bo Kaap. We had a room on the first floor. It was very spacious with contemporary decor. Bed was large and comfortable. The comforter was heavy and we got warm at night even setting the AC to 17. Breakfast was delicious. Very limited parking but host and staff arranged for street parking with security. Michel is a fantastic host with lots of good information. Not too many amenities.

Awesome stay, well appointed rooms. Lots of space, quiet in the streets and no noise transfer from adjacent suites. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Our stay include a complementary breakfast. One thing that stood out over and above was just how clean the room was. Every single corner and surface was spotless. Very close to lots of activities, never had a concern about safety and we walked around often day and night (M32, F27). Great stay, great value.

This is the only hotel I will stay at in Cape Town from now on. Michel is incredible, as are Chris and Ben. The hotel is located in a fantastic and fun area, the rooms are great, and the breakfast is wonderful. I loved everything about it!

After an intense work week, a friend and I had 4 days in Cape Town before returning to Canada. Rouge on Rose was a perfect place to explore Cape Town and its environs. The hotel is in Bo K-aap which is a really interesting neighbourhood and very central. The vibe was definitely chilled. The rooms are large and comfortable. Lots of little things done well - lots of international plugs, heat/ac pumps. Staff were fantastic - they went out of their way to be helpful and also had lots of great tips. I will definitely book again if I heard down to Cape Town. Highly recommended.

My experience at Rouge on Rose lived up to the reviews I had read before I booked it. The staff was very helpful, Jean, Michel and Chris were all great! Breakfast was excellent. My room was clean, and comfortable, and the one minor issue I had was solved quickly. You may want to avoid walking by yourself at night in Bo-Kapp.

Michel, Obed and the team were masterful in their service, information and support. I had early mornings, late night, and needed advice on the area - and EVERYTHING I asked for was catered for. I'm actually thinking of coming back just to see what else I could ask to see if they would achieve it - and I am confident in their knowledge and care that they will exceed expectations even then.

Wonderful boutique hotel. We stayed four nights before taking a cruise out of Cape Town in December. They arranged for a shuttle from the airport which was very reasonably priced. The owner, all the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast, included, was a treat every morning. We cannot say enough good things about Rouge on Rose.

We had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating, which is rare to find at this high standard in hotels. Reception were very knowledgeable on advice about the local area and ideas of what to do. The location is perfect and safe. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We love this hotel, the staff and accommodations. They addressed our every need, (but we really didn't need anything because they provided wonderful amenities that we didn't even know we needed!!) The proprietors assisted us in navigating around the vicinity specifically and Capetown in general. We will return to Capetown if only to stay at the Rouge one more time. If you don't book here, you will have missed something very special.

The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. We arrived early in the morning, well before the stated check-in time. The gladly stored our luggage and delivered it to the room while we explored the city. They made good recommendations about where to eat and what to do. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great. I would gladly stay there again.

This was one of best Hotels we have ever used. Breakfast was amazing….lovely choices and our Hosts were fantastic.. although dealing with some power outages. Was in an excellent location for walking to restaurants or the Hop On Hop Off bus. Easy to walk to museums. We walked everywhere! The hotel staff were most friendly and helpful, warm and kind. The room was always spotless and we loved the size, the views out the window, comfortable large bed, excellent hot shower and abundant tea and coffee in the room. And breakfast was served quickly with large delicious portions every morning. This is a very unique hotel experience and we can’t wait to return!

I loved this hotel! It’s located in historic Bo Kaap area with its brightly painted buildings. Great location close to lots of restaurants, bars and shopping. Just a quick Uber or medium/long walk to the waterfront.
The owners Ursula and Michele could not have been more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! All of the staff were wonderful. I felt like I was staying with friends!

Very nice guesthouse located in historic Bo-Kaap area and only 2 blocks from the city center (Long Street, etc.). The two hosts were great. Michel was one of the most helpful hosts we had and offered a lot of useful suggestions re places to see, restaurants, etc.

A lovely place, very well located in Bo Kapp with views over the brightly coloured houses of the area to Signal Hill and the Lion’s Head beyond. A number of excellent restaurants were within a short and safe walk. Our room was exceptionally spacious, decorated in minimalist style with touches of bright red and a few pieces of vintage furniture. The huge bathroom (with a standalone bath as well as separate rainfall shower) is very open plan, so know your roommate well! The bed was quite firm, but very spacious. The included breakfast was very good. On site secure parking was a big bonus. Ursula and Michel were excellent hosts - very welcoming and helpful with great tips for visiting the Cape Town area. Thanks you both.

The location is ok, not suitable to walk around after dark and you will need ear plugs as the call to prayer in the early hours of the morning will wake you up, but the rooms are huge and nicely decorated. The bed was also super comfortable

Small hotel with large simple rooms.. Serivce was good and they try to be friendly but house keeping rushed me at the end right before checkout. Breakfast was minimal/simple vs the other large hotels we stayed at in the area. WiFi is good. Area isn’t the most vibrant/safe at night vs other areas.

Excellent service from start to finish, whether you want to climb Table Mountain, hire a car and head for the Cape of Good Hope, go to a good restuarant, or find a bar to watch the football and have a pint, nothing is a problem, and all done with a smile, competence and practical assistance. That after a comfortable night sleep and a good hearty and/or healthy (if you want) breakfast!
