Everything was great, especially the receptionist who was incredibly kind and explained everything in detail. She made us feel very welcome. The hotel and the room were also wonderful. The restaurant staff was very friendly, and we were so touched by the thoughtful touch of providing a takeaway breakfast since we were leaving very early in the morning. Everyone was so kind, and we are very grateful to all the staff. God bless them.

OK as a stopover for the night

The hotel is quite dated and basic. Soundproofing is non-existent, any noise in the corridors seemed even worse inside the room. The area is not the nicest but it was very convenient arriving at night from Madrid airport and for Chamartín station the next morning. Breakfast buffet was very good quality and varied.

Although the location is great if you need to be bear the Chamartín station, it is not in a nice place.

It served my needs, I spent only one night and travelled from the Chamartín station the following day, but it would not be an option for longer stays and tourism

This hotel was just across from the train station. So perfect for our travel. The room is comfortable with the best bed. Linens are crisp and quality. We were able to check in early which is important in US/International travel. We were able to catch up on some sleep early in day. Lunch was great and relatively inexpensive. A must do visit.

The check-in process is terrible, waiting more than 30 minutes, despite having done the pre check-in online. They can't find reservations, to issue room keys they have to go somewhere else...
The rooms are older than Methuselah and in poor condition.

Was wonderful to find a place close to the train station. Booked last minute when we could not get a train to our actual destination til the next day. Very nice property. Super comfortable bed. Older property but well kept. If more than one person check your actual reservation. I requested on hotels.com for 2 people but only gave price for one. Added 30 euro for the 2nd person at the property. Definitely not the hotels fault. The breakfast was very good

We stayed for a weekend in Hotel Madrid Chamartín Affiliated by Meliá. The staff was kind but nothing special.
For the price we paid the breakfast was average, the surrounding was a bit noisy and crowded as the Metro/Train Station was nearby. It has a great access to the station. There are not many places where you can dine in and nothing around the hotel.

In overall, a good located hotel for central Madrid.

I got there an hour before check-in time and my room was ready. It had all I needed, a good desk, stocked minibar and a confortable bed. The location for what I needed was unbeatable (next to the train station), but it's kind of boring. Their breakfast starts early (at 7am) and is glorious.

Good hotel and staff, great location for trains to Segovia and north. Not too much in immediate area to do but not an issue. Not sure if I was unlucky, it can be a noisy hotel. Out of four nights I was disturbed for three. Often I could hear my neighbours quite loudly. Not an issue if you're a deep sleeper. FYI also has great breakfast and meals.

Our reservation at the Madrid Chamartin hotel was from October 29th to November 1st. I searched on Expedia for a hotel with two important conditions for us, one the location close to the train station and the second having air conditioning. Our first night after a long trip was very bad, even though the temperature outside was in the mid-fifties Fahrenheit, the hotel decided to put on central heating and we didn't have the chance to turn on the air conditioning, the room felt like a sauna. The next morning the young man at the front desk told us that there was no possibility to turn on the AC because the hotel management had decided to switch to central heating and the only thing we could do was open the window. Our second and third night we opened the window and we didn't sleep either because the noise outside was unbearable between the cars, the construction nearby and the people in the building across the street arguing in the middle of the night. My husband complained the second night for the second time and the same young man at the reception told us that he could change us to another room possibly cooler when we opened the window, that was for us like a mockery and very unprofessional, that option after two nights without sleep and we were already leaving the next day. I like to be a fair person and the only thing that the hotel really has good is the breakfast that is included and is varied. I do not recommend this hotel nor do I plan to book it again.

Chamartin was a great stay! The morning breakfast was incredible, a full buffet with every delicious food group you could imagine. We needed a place close to the train station, and Chamartin is literally across the street. The staff speaks English, and they were very friendly and accommodating. They even organized the cab ride to the airport on our return trip. The hotel room was very clean and the atmosphere is safe and classy. I would highly recommend Hotel Chamartin.

First of all - the pool looks nicer in photos than in reality and keep in mind that pool is only open during summer season - June 20 through September 20. The staff was very helpful and nice. The hotel entrance is strange - it's unusually looking located in a short dead-end street without an easy way for taxis to turn around after drop-off. The room was good, but USB charging ports would have been nice. AC worked good, but the walls are pretty thin. Hotel lobby is pretty small, but they do offer free storage for luggage if you arrive early like I did. The restaurant had good breakfast buffet that was included although it wasn't as great as some of the reviews that I've seen. The gym was very small also. Overall an OK option in Madrid if you're looking for a place close to train station, but you can probably find better options at this price point.

The room has good space, clran and comfortable beds. There are everything i needed like securety box, fridge and bathtub.
All staff were very helpful. Huge choices of breakfast. Supermarket within 5 mins. Gym facility was limited but it was enough for us to use while in a bust holiday. Outside swimming pool was not opened yet.

My room, 1201, was very noisy. It suffered from noise from the lift shafts immediately behind the wall of the bed, from fan noise in bathroom and ill-fitting windows that led to a lot of street and wind noise. Shower also wasn't thermostatic and so ran hot and cold. Altogether very poor value for the money spent.

Experience undermined by very warm room, only tempered by having window open, day and night. Air con not available till summer, even though 24c outside.

The worst: mattresses are very old and low quality. You get pocked by the inner springs everywhere. I would not recommend their beds.

Area: hotel overlooks a park??? Or empty lot. Is walking distance to train, cercanías and Metro station. Area is under development, so expect construction everywhere.

Reception floor was replaced during the night and noise from the replacement process could be heard in rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors. Also, the 3rd floor was labeled as a no smoking floor, but our room had either been smoked in before when the floor was not a no smoking floor or a recent guest had been smoking in the room. There obviously had been an attempt to mask the odor with a deodorant or air freshener.

I would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.

Good stay next to train station

I had an early train so wanted to stay near the station. Staff were very helpful. Room is a little dated but clean and comfortable. Walls are thin, I recommend ear plugs. Getting into town was easy with the metro station so close.
