Nice hotel but could be better

Very nice hotel. Good size rooms and good facilities. However, no coffee is provided in the room only tea and that also not always topped up. No teaspoon to stir the tea. Towels are changed even if not on the floor which make it not very eco friendly. Recycling bin in the corridor are good thing. There is a lovely outdoor pool and a gym. Unfortunately the sauna and jacuzzi were out of service when we stayed there. Shuttle available for free to go to bus or metro stop with very friendly driver. Generally the hotel stuff is very nice. We had 1 lunch at the hotel. Reasonably price and very tasty. We didn't try the breakfast.

Away from any real restaurants the ones that they have on the property have very confusing (and not written down) opening hours.

The bar food was really terrible - the pizza we ordered was clearly a barely warmed frozen pizza (the crappy kind you’d get from a supermarket).

Additionally, the room description said 25 sqm room but I’d be surprised if the size of the room was half that

The hotel is very nice, convenient and clean. Cleaning ladies were very nice and friendly. Can’t unfortunately say the same about 1 or two of the waiters/receptionists. But all in all I returned with a very good feeling about the hotel.

The hotel is good in general. Due to Covid the restaurant is open only for breakfast. The personnel is really kind.

The only thing I didn’t like that much were the pillows (really a super minor detail).

ABBA Garden is a great retreat hotel, in the outskirts. Perfect for a day or two of relax. Great pool area, Padel Tennis court and close to outdoor area at the mountain with exceptionel views of the city. For running, hiking or biking.

Hotel was lovely and clean. The hotel is on a hill, and the bus stop is at the bottom of the hill so handy. Metro stop is about 10 minute walk, but my favourite feature with this hotel was the free shuttle service they offer daily to the metro, shopping centre and camp nou! Certainly saved our legs from the hill. Only downside to the hotel is they don’t have any tea/coffee facilities in the room. When I called reception I was told they don’t have any kettles?

Compared to other same class hotels, the price is very good in return for value received. The hotel is close to the metro 🚇 station, I used it to go to the airport. Friendly hotel staff. The breakfast buffet need more variety, at least egg station. I will come back again.

Location is not that good if you want central Barcelona. But the trip was spoiled, due to the fact we were chased every morning in our 3day stay, that we had not booked breakfast. I showed the staff at breakfast every morning from the Hotels.com website that I had, but the next day the same. So slightly marred our stay there. Other than that acceptable.

I stayed for 4 days. The main reasion why I chose this hotel is the location, walking distance to \"Palau Congress de Catalunya\".
Small restaurants and smaller gym.
No nearby convenience store or supermarket.
Not for tourists.

The best hotel for a family .

The hotel is very good overall. No much crowd around like la rambles for example .
The staff is excellent and very friendly, I have to mention Christina , Marta , Mariano they are awesome and the other staff too .i had an issue with the AC and immediately after I spoke to them they call the technician and solved the problem. This recent stay was my second in Abba Garden and definitely when I come back to Barcelona I will stay there .

It was brilliant. Wait staff was a little slow however there was a wedding on so may have been preoccupied. Local area there is nothing, no cafes etc, you rely on hotel unless your brace and get the metro into Catalunya, which is easy and only $2.50 for a single journey.

Football stadium is 20min walk.

Although the overall look of the hotel was really nice, and the grounds and communal areas were well kept, the bedroom lacked the style that it appeared to have in the photos. We were given two single beds pushed together, both of which were rather old and shabby. The material on the base of the beds was fraying, and the mattresses sagged in the middle. This gave the room a rather old and ill-kept look about it. If it wasn't for this, the whole place would have been much nicer.
The staff were very friendly and spoke a lot of different languages, and the breakfast was lovely. However, the choice for dinner was limited (especially as a vegetarian), and it was unclear what days the restaurant was open.
Overall a pleasant enough stay, however, there needed to be more attention to detail within the hotel to make it a really lovely place

My sons and were visiting Barcelona and spent three nights at this hotel. It is a bit away from the city centre but easily accessible through public means. We have enjoyed the comfort and the swimming pool. The service we got was very friendly and efficient. We shall be back in the future.

Cons: Unfriendly staff, dirty carpet, 2 side by side twin beds and 2 cots in large room for 2 people. Beds are hard glad we only stayed 8 hrs. Shower didn't work and leaked all night. Towels look old and gray instead of white. No option for English channels on TV. The restaurant was okay except they served undercooked chicken burger to my child. You have to ask for portable chargers for your electronics unless you bring your own European adaptor.

The mattress in my room was very uncomfortable, it was hard in spots and I could feel springs.

It was a good 3 day stay at the hotel. The area was safe and the hotel was good. The breakfast was ok for anyone that eats a big variety but was too expensive for me because I down eat much at breakfast.
I would recommend a stay here if you are visiting the university, and for the city it is only 15mins walk to the metro and 25mins on metro to the centre

Terrible molds smell

We stayed for 6 nights i cant complain about the room its big and clean,clean towels everyday,reception is always helpful,the hotel's location is very good for relaxing after being on the cities crowd!! The only thing that disgust me is the shower and bathtub you can strongly smell the molds which you can see all over the sink,shower handle it is poorly clean! I regret i use the tub i smelled molds after soaking in there so disgusting! One more thing the hotel's so called gym is not really a gym treadmill is not working!!!we also got the ugliest view from the room facing the back side of the hotel! All in all i cant say its a four star hotel!

We stayed for 4days for my daughters operation in clinica diagonal.It was convenient in terms of location. Room was spacious and comfortable. It was disappointing that there was no coffee kettle in the room. Swimming pool was unusable and dirty. Staff were not very helpful. We needed a wheel chair to bring our daughter down who had both legs casted following operation. No wheel chair is available in the hotel. When we asked for at least a swirly chair with wheels the staff flatly refused.
Overall the hotel is reasonable but can improve in lot of areas.

We stayed at the hotel on a 5 day trip
To Barcelona . The hotel itself was a bit remote with no shops around but we soon found our way around to the metro via the hotel shuttle bus. Our room was lovely the room was cleaned every day but some of the furnishings had seen better days . The pool and outside area was lovely and clean . The only moan we had was they could provide tea and coffee in the rooms. Breakfast was a little steep at 14€ each for just continental. The lady on reception was rude and abrupt but the others were very helpful and my husband found one of the bar staff ( we think bar manager) really off towards us which he was. Maybe some of the staff need customer service training on how to treat all nationalities the same otherwise a nice stay their

Hotel provides a free shuttle from the hotel's hill-top location. Reserve a shuttle spot early because it fills up fast and then you're walking 10-15 minutes to the nearest metro stop. Fitness room is small (old stationary bike (that doesn't really work) and treadmill (which I never tried to use). Hotel is clean and some staff are super friendly; other staff not so much. Never ate in the restaurant so can't comment on the food. Generally pleased with my stay for business at nearby conference center, but I wouldn't recommend it for tourists visiting Barcelona for the first time.

basically we were left in rome by princess cruises and we needed to book a room for one night before transferring downtown to our previously booked lodging

its basically right by a very large modern children's hospital with almost nothing around it - restaurants etc

it appears to be used for conferences- due to proximity to hospital I would guess at medical suppliers etc

Carpet had stains. Walls had markings on them. Worst of all the beds were not at all comfortable. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory. The kids play area is was a dissapointment. Wifi connection was too slow even for just regular browsing

Not a four star by any stretch of the imagination. €5.95 to iron a shirt as no iron available. No tea making facilities in room. Got tea from bar in plastic disposable cups, had to ask barman for tray (he did not offer to carry the drinks for me), he told me to bring the tray back ASAP. Overpriced massages. Website says there is a bus to bring guests to metro- was not aware of said bus. Noisy in the morning time, our room was close to conference room. Guests playing stupid \"ice breaker\" games outside our room.

A Good Experience for the Cost

I stayed at Abba Garden because the conference hotel for the conference I was attending was fully-booked. Abba Garden was one of the closest hotels to the conference. It borders the Parc de Cervantes. It is also right next to a local hospital and medical school (I think). The rate was very reasonable. The hotel has nice amenities including a buffet breakfast, gym, hamman, steam room and sauna (which are included with the price of the room). Wireless internet in the room was also free, but a little slow and spotty at times. Hotel staff were generally friendly and helpful. The hotel is technically in Esplugues de Llobregat (and not Barcelona), but it abuts the Barcelona border. Overall, I would stay at Abba Garden again.

I chose this hotel due to the location as it is set at the edge of Barcelona. We were not disappointed, the views are lovely and although it is at the edge of town the nearest metro is only a five ten minute walk away and so it is perfect if you don't want to stay in the noise of the city centre.
I was a little unhappy with a few of the staff as they were a little less hospitable than the hotel trade calls for, but overall the hotel was clean, spacious, has a lovely pool and much appreciated air conditioning!!

Good, quiet, but a bit far out

This is a perfectly fine hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are large enough, clean and well-fitted. The amenities are good (although we didn't make use of them). Slight negatives are the narrow balconies on the upper rooms and the somewhat flaky wi-fi, especially on the terrace.

Getting to and from the town centre is best done by bus (about 30-40 minutes) - the walk to the metro is very tiring in the heat up a steep hill through the Parc de Cervantes. Public transport in Barcelona is, in general, very good. Get a T-10 card for the best value.

A correct hotel

I have chosen this Hotel due to the proximity from the Convention Center of Catalunya, where I attended a medical meeting. Walking from the Hotel to the Convention Center was very pleasant as I had to cross a park with many beautiful specimens of roses.
The services of the hotel were correct and I enjoyed the competence of the staff.
