Lovely people at the check in desk. Nice location with a cafe and supermarket close by. Bit far from metro stop but not that far. Air conditioning in room was great. Had a mini fridge and tv in the room as well which was lovely. Toilet was clean. Beds were clean and nice. Laundromat close by. Would stay again.

What a lovely place! I arrived late on a rainy Saturday night, laden with my heavy bags, and I immediately felt welcomed by the staff and taken care of. The hotel is outside the city center, so it's very quiet at night, but in a safe, walkable neighborhood with good public transport options nearby if necessary. There are ample restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the rooms are quite comfy. Plus, you are welcome to leave your bags there after checkout, which can be really helpful if you want to walk around a little before you leave. Just a great place. I hope to be back again soon!

Just perfect for living with kids. Simple, but clean, good bedding, perfect strong shower, very friendly staff. Near hotel you can find law wash for laundering your clothes, supermarket with fresh orange juce, metro 5-7 min from the hotel, perfect coffee, very safe area, also a lot of modern shops. And quiet!!!! We live in family room with balcony. And not very expensive. Just thank you for our week there.

This is a very basic hotel... Don't expect much... But clean, quiet, hot/cold showers, a firm nice bed, an okay value breakfast buffet, friendly staff

I used it to sleep. A step up from a dorm...

And they don't pretend to be something they are not...

Check in was quick and friendly. The location is a bit away from the centre, about 60 minutes walk to the Rambla.
The hotel is dated and basic but the price reflects that condition.
The breakfast is continental and nice.
The main problem I had was there is very little soundproofing and you can hear everything from the rooms around you and so if you’re a light sleeper then this is a problem

Good, friendly hotel close to major Metro Line.

I enjoyed my first time to Barcelona. The staff in the hotel were really friendly and helpful. First time I have been on holiday on my own.
The hotel is in a good location for what I wanted. Only a short walk from major Metro Line (L3) made it easy for me to nip around the city and go to main places I wanted to see. It also connected really easy to to the train to the Airport.
It were close enough to walk to the Camp Nou. My only problem which wasn’t really a major problem was that I were unlucky to have my room next to the lift so I could hear that now and again. When i come back to Barcelona I would defo stay there again.Thank you.

Everything is great, location, staff, rooms. I thought they should maybe have a laundry room for longer stays, or especially for families with children, but as it is they provide only laundry services, which can process only a few items at at time and.are more complicated and more expensive.

Simply perfect!

Over 4 years, whenever I required hotel accommodation, this has always been first choice, due to location and pricing as well as the standards the hotel adheres to. Never a problem, in a great quiet, residential area, nice bars, shops, parks, shopping, easy for El Prat, Camp Nou & just short walk to Maria Cristina metro station. Fantastic!

I found Hotel Bonanova after two days in a July heatwave in a hostel with no A/C and a shared bathroom. Hotel Bonanova was a much appreciated oasis after we abandoned that ship! The AC was amazing, the staff was friendly, the room and bathroom were clean though small. I was very grateful! The location is a little removed from the action, but there are buses and taxis plenty in the area to get you where you need to go, and there's a hop on/hop off bus stop only a couple blocks away.

I really liked this hotel. It was clean, the desk personnel were super friendly and the breakfast was excellent. The neighborhood is quiet but not far from shops and other attractions. If you like to walk, visiting the attractions is a hike, but we'll worth it. There is a bus stop just a few minutes away to get you any place you want to go. I would absolutely stay there again.

FC Barcelona game trip

Main reason for our stay was for a fc Barcelona game, the hotel is in a perfect location for this. The hotel was lovely, easy to find. The room was simple but lovely, toilet was lovely and good condition. Only slight negative was the sound from other rooms at times but regardless 2 great nights sleeps. Will certainly come back here hopefully.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was very modern and clean! The buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of choice! We were visiting family who lived nearby so it was perfect for our location requirements. Overall the hotel was very reasonably priced and exactly what we needed for our short stay!

Overall I had a decent experience with this hotel. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom facilities were great. The room was very clean and well looked after. However, my only criticisms would be that the WiFi quality was very poor and didn't work well at all, and the prices of the refreshments in the minibar may have cost a little too much. Having said that, the hotel was in a good location with lots of shops etc around and it was a pretty good experience overall.

Close to the University and Business district

This is a lovely little hotel close to the University and Business district in Barcelona. The reception staff are friendly and speak English. It has a small cramped lift but it works. The hotel is clean and appeared in good condition. It looks like some of it may have been refurbished recently. Breakfast is very basic continental style and is well presented with a good selection.

Strange chemical smell in room

The first room I got had a very strong chemical smell, like too much air freshener, or insect repellant. I thought it would go away with the windows open, but two hours later it was still as strong, and was causing me to cough. I asked for another room. Initially there was resistance, but eventually I got a different room and was able to have a decent sleep.

One Night Stay

We only stayed here one night, as our train to San Sebastián was fully booked. The room was clean, it had mostly everything we needed. Plenty big for the two of us. The fridge is small, kinda hard to fit food into. The rooms aren’t super modern, they’re old style, but if you’re not looking for luxury - this will definitely do! It’s not noisy and we got a good nights sleep. The people were decently nice, for not speaking very good English. Lastly, it’s within walking distance to the nearest bus and about 35 minutes walking of the Barcelona train station.

Overall very nice

The hotel is nice (small by American standards but everything was). It is located in a good area of town, is approximately 4 to 6 blocks from the nearest metro station. The staff was overall great, only one surly person. The rooms are clean and the service was great. It is located across the street from a grocery store which was convenient for picking up some fruit or otherwise for a quick breakfast. There are restaurants located nearby that you can pick up dinner or a later evening snack and drink at if you would like to. We really enjoyed the hotel (when we were there, we used it to sleep and shower as we were exploring the city), and loved Barcelona.

Great location for Camp Nou

I was looking for a hotel close to Camp Nou as I had a ticket for El Clasico. This was perfect. Hotel is just about a 10 minute walk to the stadium. It is also less than a 5 minute walk to the Maria Cristina metro station. There is a supermarket nearby as well.

I stayed at the Hotel Bonanova for two nights in January. There was no heat in the room when the nights were around 43 F. I had to argue with the night receptionist both nights to either fix it or assign me to a new room. First, the receptionist tried to tell me the heat works fine both nights. I said \"How do you know, you have not checked my room.\" After checking and finding no heat, the receptionist provided a space heater both nights (second night, I again had to argue to get the space heater). Receptionist promised to wave the cost of the breakfast ($9 euros). I emailed the hotel the night before to remind them of the breakfast waiver. Of course, checking out at 3 am to catch my 6 am flight, the other receptionist made me pay the $9 euros if I wanted a taxi to the airport--not the most honest people. Stay away from Room 610.

The Hotel Bonanova Park is a wonderful hotel. Rooms are small, but clean and well kept up. Shower was the best -- a lot of water volume available with good temperature control (no bathtub in my room though). Air conditioning was nice. The optional $9 breakfasts were a great way to get going. Everyone there is very friendly. Super nice coffee shop across the street, as well as a nice Italian restaurant. I would like to stay there on my future visits. Price was reasonable.

Basic but fantastic location for Nou Camp

I was in Barcelona for a football game and the hotel was only 10 mins walk from Nou Camp in built up area so location couldn't be better. Room was basic but bathroom was nice and shower was amazing. Used the hotel parking which was underground but you need to be a super confident driver as there's a lot of manoeuvring involved as only 3 spaces in a tight area. The beds were on wheels so when you moved in your bed at night the bed made a terrible noise and moved around so you can imagine the noise when cleaners were doing the rooms at 08:30am moving all the beds so you were up then whether you liked it or not.

I needed a bed and wifi for two days. Bed was ok, WiFi didn't work when I arrived (at night) until the morning.
So I was half pleased on the first night and very pleased on the second. It's as basic a hotel as you can find. Staff is friendly and helpful (other than knowing how to reset the WiFi which the night guy didn't know).
Room is spartan, but I don't need much.

good budget hotel

Rooms are small and walls are paper thin, but clean and basic accommodations. It is a pretty long walk up a very gradual hill from the nearest metro (Maria Christina) , not difficult unless you have luggage in which case its a bit far. Some really great bakeries and cafes on the street below, all very affordable.

Great hotel for economy

I stayed here over Christmas requiring only a comfortable room, I flew over to visit my son and girlfriend who only have a bed sit type studio. I didn't eat or visit the lounge etc. Lifts are a bit awkward, but they are the norm in many buildings. Shower room was excellent, lashings of hot water. Everywhere was very clean. Heating was too much on arrival, but I just turned both radiators off and didn't need the air con. This was excellent for the money and location for me was very good. Sari and Pedralbes are very good, quiet areas of Barcelona. A 10 trip, Metro ticket is only 10€ so it could make economic sense to many people. I optimise online purchases with cashback and loyalty points, etc which makes it even easier on the budget.

Hotel was clean and in a safe neighborhood, easy walk to shops, restaurants and Metro. While the hotel is older the bathroom had been updated and the free Wifi worked well. Hotel is 15 mins walk up hill from nearest metro but bus stand just outside has public bus to the metro which has 2 large shopping centres next to it - one with large basement supermarket. Quiet residential neighbourhood. No electric kettle in room but fridge avail. Big bedrooms. PC in hotel lounge and wifi. Unable to find coin-op laundromat for our week's stay clothes. Not all metro stations has lifts, quite a challenge with heavy luggage going up/down station stairs.

A perfect place
