The. elevator shaft is in the middle of the rooms. You simply cannot. sleep from. the noise. of the elevator going up and down. The hotel should be transparent about this to customer before they book.

The door hits the bed and only opens 2/3 of the way.

They gave me another room that the door opened but the bed was a children's twin pushed in the corner.

The bathroom sink is halfway in front of the toilet.

The worst experience I have ever had. I left the next day was 7 day) and they have not given me any credit

So much noise going through the room..

Rooms look a lot better in pictures! Our room was dull and basic, with a terrible view out the window of a wall 6 feet away. Beds were comfortable, but the NOISE in this room was unbelievable. Every flush or shower or use of a sink it seems in the hotel rattles through this room, like the pipes go right through the room. All night clanking, gurgling, water rushing etc, again in the morning when we woke. Very hard to relax and sleep listening to that all night. And the 'rainfall' shower head was totally broken so the little amount of water that came out of it just went straight out the opening to the shower and all over the floor. Staff were pleasant and breakfast was ok, but I won't be staying there again if all rooms are as noisy as that one.

Serene little Retreat.

A two night stay prior to flying back to blighty.

Wanted to be on a high-up floor - but was assigned floor one.
Was better than a few days ago when I was here, as the window in the room had a 'genuine' view.
So there was natural light during the day, however I checked-in in the evening and I was using a small cycle light torch to unpack - as the lighting in the room was that bad - there really is no excuse for that.

Not a lot of places to set anything down either, and the lack of power sockets was evident.

However .. A clean room - exceptionally quiet - even with the window open, and it was a street view.
Lovely shower set up with ample room for movement.
Gorgeous bed with immaculate bedding.
Clean Fridge

The staff were also very helpful.

Supermarket very close.

I would use this hotel again.

Room was small - which I was aware of when booking.
Poor light though - needed artificial light on at all times.

Did have a small window - but the view was an internal wall - so only minimal natural light.

However, a quiet, clean room, lovely beds with fresh clean linen.
Also a fridge in the room, which given the temperatures outside (very warm) - were a godsend.

Close to a Supermarket.

I would stay at this hotel again.

For a 2 star hotel, Casual Colors does the job very well : spacious room, decent breakfast, helpful staff. The area of the hotel is residential and you get a vibe of Barcelona outside the touristic buzz which was nice. There are shops and cafes right outside the hotel. Area offers also a good selection of restaurants to dine out. This is while you are 15mins by transport of the city centre and the main attractions.We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Casual Colors hotel!

Good location with a lot of restaurants nearby. Friendly staff. Clean rooms and common areas.
Our room (#1) was in a kind of basement, without windows. AC wasn't working yet (end of April) even if it was 27C outside. Shower had courtains so the entire bathroom floor got wet.

Great hotel, ask for a room away from the elevator

Everything about the hotel was great, location, cost, cleanliness and facilities for expectation was great.

My only issue was my room was right on the elevator shaft and the walls was not sound proofed or insulated enough and the lift kept waking me up throughout the night.

Not very pleasant

First of all, I booked this hotel for the range of unique decor of each room. My room was not at all nicely decorated, it only had a very tacky curtain with a window facing the back building so I couldn’t even open the curtain Even though it was on the 4th floor, it felt like I was in the basement. Second, the back building right outside the window was doing renovations from 8am-6pm nonstop (drilling). When I brought this up to the front desk, all they said was it wasn’t their hotel doing the renovations. I had to leave at 8 everyday and return after 6 to avoid the construction noise.

It's a small hotel close to Barcelona Sants and 20-25 minutes taxi ride to the airport. Room was really tiny and not so clean which we could see on top of the fridge and fridge handle. It's OK for just one night but wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay. The only positive thing was breakfast with a really good coffee and good breakfast items selection. Wouldn't stay here again.

Overall a really good stay. It’s not anything fancy, but it’s a nice clean, quiet spot to recharge. Metro is about a 10 minute walk to the hotel. It is 4 stops to the Sagrada Familia. The building is old, but the staff does a nice job of keeping it clean. My only complaint that was neither of the drains in the bathroom drained. I had to take speed showers so as not to overflow the area. Would recommend if you’re on a budget and not too picky.

Amazing location and neighbourhood

This is a very small hotel and does the bare minimum for a comfortable stay. The room was compact and clean. There was hardly any natural light or windows for natural light. Pls do not drink from tap in the room. The water is not good and we ended up buying bottled water. If you are looking for a budget friendly place in Barcelona then this is the one. The breakfast menu was the same and it was average. There is a lot of room for improvement. Overall, I would rate this place 5/10.

This hotel was okay and is a two or three star hotel in my view. The beds were good and we did get good sleep here. We had some nights with noise from the street below as it is located on a busy street. The wifi could use an upgrade as it is spotty at times. Breakfast is ok too. The showers could use some renovation as the drainage isn’t great and the shower heads are rather worn out. Staff were very nice and helpful. Location was very convenient and lots of places walkable.

The pictures online make it look nicer than what it actually is. We got there and felt like it wasn’t clean enough and we ended up leaving and going to stay in a different hotel. The staff was friendly. They do offer luggage storage but there are no options for early checkin. We had better luck elsewhere. If you aren’t a super picky person, you may really enjoy this hotel especially it’s location, but the person I was with is a stickler for cleanliness and did not feel comfortable here so we left

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and my room were clean, modern and stylish. The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that my room was so dark. The window looked out to a very deep, long and high air shaft so no light at all was coming into the room. I feel this should have been compensated with a ceiling light at the very least. Instead, there were two dim lamps in the room. Not great for the mornings or the daytime in general when you just want some light to lift your spirits. Fine for the evening time, but it just felt like night time all through the day. Not good. Room 303. Other than this specific issue, everything else was great.

It was indeed casual, nicely located near restaurants and I find Barcelona fairly walkable. Lots of transport links with buses too. However the room I was given had an internal facing window making it very dark and not pleasant. It was very small as shown in some pictures and reminded me of university accommodation, but this is fine as it keeps costs low. I also experienced significant Wifi issues (may be related to the internal window). The staff tried to fix it and this didn't work.

What I did not like is that they did not offer compensation for this and did not seem proactive in helping although they had been friendly before.

Expedia did provide a £25 coupon for me, but I was not pleased that the hotel refused compensation on their side.

The hotel also lacks common amenities like a bar or pool, so do be aware of that!

A revelation!

This hotel was a revelation. I really like its concept and messaging, daily inspirational quotes left on pillows and post-its. Very comfortable beds and great water pressure in the shower, very satisfying breakfast buffet as well. Before arriving, I was concerned about the location being far from the usual tourist action and nightlife. That was not a problem at all. Within steps from the hotel one could find a bus (of multitudes) to go anywhere in the city apart from being a 15 minute walk from Sants train station. I believe this May be my new go-to hotel in Barcelona.

No Daylight, but good service. Decide yourself!

The hotel and employees were nice. The only thing is the room has no window that can see the outside so I couldn't take fresh air or couldn't see the daylight during my trip. Also only one plug socket in the room, so it's difficult to decide which electronic stuff will be charged.

We loved the hotel. Modern rooms, nicely decorated and quite spacious for Barcelona standards. It has a comfy bed and pillows, q mini fridge and good shower pressure, which is always a plus. Staff was friendly and very helpful with our requests. We were travelling with a 3 month-old baby and they were accommodating to our needs. We’ll come back.

Room was tiny which is fine when it's done well. Some shelves might have helped in the bathroom or sewhere to out hygiene items. Also, the cleaning crew broke my adapter. Everything was fine when I left for the day and when I returned, part of the adapter was on the floor, under the bed and the rest of it still attached to my laptop cord on the chair. Lesson learned -dont have them clean or make sure to put all belongings away before allowing cleaning. Otherwise, hotel was adequate and staff was friendly

Awesome staff and convenient spot

The hotel is modern and well cared for. The staff is fantastic, extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area.
The hotel is a short walk to the main train station, neighborhood is nice and quiet. You can walk to FC Barcelona games, longer walk to the La Rambla (30 minutes) but plenty of things along the way.

The property is ok if you just want a clean place to stay in a off the beaten path yet easily accessible area. Unfortunately items like the safe are \"extra\" and since I was told by the front desk attendant that \"I shouldn't worry\" I didn't add the safe to my account and guess what? A pair of Majorica pearls disappeared from inside my jewelry pouch inside the closet.

I communicated the incident to the front desk but it didn't go anywhere. The pearls went missing for good....VERY DISSAPOINTING.

A nice hotel located in good area of Barcelona. Only had one issue with the bathroom door but reception came straight away and was fixed within minutes.
Couple of staff could do with a better understanding of barcelonas transport as we asked about getting to airport and they said taxi as no other way to get there for 8:30 on Saturday morning. I looked myself and there was several different ways.

However we were disappointed that there was no laundry service as advertised - instead the desk suggested we take our clothes to a laundromat to wash them ourselves. Breakfast buffet was good but they ran out of eggs every day - my husband only tasted eggs once during our 5 days there. Location was a bit out of the way from good restaurants and any of the sights.

This hotel was convenient, helpful, quiet and clean. It was a bit expensive but worth it. Breakfast looked really nice but because I am gluten free I chose to eat elsewhere. The front desk employees are wonderful. I don't speak Spanish and they spoke english well. They helped me set up transportation to the airport. I highly recommend.
