Room itself was OK for the money for Barcelona. However, the hotel was very noisy during the night. My room also had a window facing the building hallway and was very noisy with people leaving/entering. I didn't sleep much so wouldn't suggest if a light sleeper.

We appreciated the AC unit and daily fresh sheets. They also provided a water dispenser next to the check-in desk. However, this is not an ideal hostel for a longer stay. The bedroom is very small and there is no communal area to rest outside of the bedroom. This would be a more ideal location for someone just staying one night.

The room was clean but small, which didn't matter since there was enough storage space and we spend most of our days out. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, and we enjoyed having a balcony. The staff, although not always there, was very helpful and accommodating and gave us all the information we needed. It was close to a Metro station, a big plus, and we loved the coffee shop a few doors away! For the price- we loved it.

The stay here was very good. I had a problem with my flight and had to stay two extra nights in Barcelona, found this on Expedia. The place is very well located. I took a room with a private bathroom, the rooms are small and a bit uncomfortable but hey, for the price it was a great stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the place is clean and safe. I was very pleased with my stay. Definitely recommend.

The location of the hotel is good as its near the metro. But the facilities of the hotel were a big let down. The wi-fi wasn't working for the last 2 of our 4 day stay. And again for the last 2 days there was no hot water so I ended up having to have a cold shower. Overall, not good

I booked 3 nights in a single room and was pleasantly surprised. My room was very small, with the twin bed taking up most of the room, but I found it comfortable. I had my own bathroom across the hall. The hotel was very clean. Overall, it's a great bargain for solo travelers seeking their own space in Barcelona.

Although this is a reasonably cheap hostel, you get what you pay for at the end of the day. They were changing the boiler when we arrived, which meant that the next morning there was no hot water for showers etc.! We used the kitchen to borrow some glasses, but saw a cockroach in there so made a quick exit. The rooms are small but adequate as a place to sleep for a few hours.

I had a great stay at this hotel. The reception (Luis) was fantastic!, he called me before arriving to ensure that I knew that the reception was open until 7pm otherwise he would wait for me. I arrived and had trouble parking the car, he came out with me showed me how to operate the parking machines and even lent me coins to pay for them. the apartments are in an excellent area in Barcelona, close to amenities and the metro where you can travel to other parts of the city. recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Barcelona and the Hostalet Barcelona was in a very convenient place . . . two blocks from the nearest metro stop and within walking distance of some of the tourist sights. The room is not fancy and yet it offers a clean room for one's stay. The employees were superb!! I found them to be very friendly and helpful. The only negative for me was that it was easy to hear guests in the next room. Therefore, if you are a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. Personally, I would stay there again because the positives outweighed the negative.

We spent 2 nights and found the staff to be fantastic. We checked in a little early as our room was ready, but we had asked in advance and they said bag storage would be ok.
When we arrived we unloaded and Alex told us the parking was at 'Clinic' parking, but wait until you arrive as having the hotel's card will get you 3E off the nightly rate. It seemed to have enough space and they were also very helpful with the parking of the vehicle. You could keep your own keys to the car. It is about 2 blocks away from the hotel, so 5 mins walking.
We had an internal room with no windows (just a small one to an internal light well). We simply needed a place to sleep and wash, so it was all good, nicely decorated and towels given. The cleaning could have been a bit better, but wasn't awful (marks on the soap dispenser&the bin had some dubious marks). Unfortunately my son was ill overnight, but I managed to find some linen in a set of drawers in the hall and I cleaned up, the staff were very understanding in asking if he was ok (he is only 5yrs old). There was a fan and AC at no additional cost.
The nearest metro is by the car park, Hospital Clinic. 2 mins walk from the hotel and only a couple of stops to the centre or Sagrada Familia. I was thrilled with the location.
I totally recommend this hotel as a great base for exploring the wonderful city of Barcelona and would happily return if I ever visit the city again.

Great place for the price

The Hostelet Barcelona was very good for me. I was looking for a place that had easy access to the subway which would make it easy to get to and from the airport and also to any tourist site I may want to visit. I found it fabulously easy to do both. Of course, it is easy enough to walk in Barcelona if you so desire. The staff (which consists of three young men) was superb . . . very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place and I will stay here again if I return to Barcelona.

Hotel staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and very kind. They promptly answered emails prior to arrival and assisted us with transportation to airport. The rooms were nice, clean, well-kept, just very very VERY small. Me and my friend stayed here (We are 2 short girls), and we were climbing over each other and all of the furniture constantly. Our room faced a small courtyard and was extremely hot (no air conditioning and no cross-breeze from outside). We had no issues with the water (which we saw in reviews prior to arrival) and hot water was always readily available. Horrible towels, rough to the skin and very small.

What a rip off!

This was the most expensive hotel we stayed at in our 2 weeks in Spain. It was also the worst by far. The room was the size of a closet and definitely had smokers before us. Don't be fooled by the website that shows french doors to the outside and says amenities like kitchenette and private bath. Our room had a window to the elevator shaft.

The staff was extremely friendly, and helpful with requests for maps, advice on things to do and all of them spoke English. I hate being the ignorant American traveling and hoping everybody speaks English to a degree but I was totally willing to make my attempt at mutalating the spoken language of Spanish, which the staff gracefully declined and helped me out. The hostel is located in an excellent part of Barcelona, the l'exiample area, slightly adjacent to the center of the city. The Hostel is two and a half blocks from the Metro, which is ten times better than the MTA New York City subway, except for the grab bars in the train. I went to this hostel early June 2013 and it wasn't that hot so I am not sure how it will be if it is cold or hot. They have a little balcony in the back and you get keys to the front door. There is no bs with this place. Plan your trip in a wise manner no matter what you do. The price is good, the place is good, the location is excellent and in traveling to Europe I have found if I can stretch out on a bed and have enough room to do morning stretches and push-ups I am good. This place did all of those for me. I definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

you get what you pay for (maybe a bit less)

OK, so it is generally cheaper than what you can find in the area, but there is a reason. In fact I would say what I paid per night for a non en-suite room where you can barely fit a single bed in a ** hostel was quite over the top. Space is an issue in general: not suitable for claustrophobia sufferers. If you get a room overlooking the street it can get pretty noisy in the morning traffic. The location is great though, and very convenient: beautiful buildings, plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and walking distance to Ciutat Vella.

You posted on the photo of the hostelat barcelona of the simple standard room as a big king size bed room, however i was surprised when i got a tiny room and a tiny bed. Also they told me i had to pay 231€ while you made me pay on your website 282€. (This is excluding the 14€ tax) so i am very dissapointed.

Rien a voir avec la photo de la reserrvation. Ce n est pad un hotel mais un immeuble exploité pour de la rentabilité. Un piege a touristes... une chambre de 9 m2 . Sans fenetre... ou du moins avec une mini fenetre donnant sur l ascenseur... notre voiture a mieux ete logee que nous. Pas d ecoute... lorsqu on nous a ouvert la porte, je lui ai dit : it's very small et elle n a meme pas daigné m ecouter, pas de reponse elle a tourné les talons et est partie... avec une semblable experience, je ne pense pas utliset hotel.com pour une autre reservtion... mieux vaudrait pour vous decretirer ce soi disant hotel que meme un balayeur de rue a 1 m ne savait ou il se situait... et pour cause...ce n est pas un hotel ! Je concluerai par : c est une belle arnaque !

Chambre très petite pas de clim fenêtre petite donnant sur intérieur domestique et mauvaise odeurs. Nous avons signalé à l'arrivée à hôtelier. On a quitté au bout de 3jours alors que réservé 5 jours.hotelier à convenu que la clim VB ne fonctionné pas. Et que la chambre était différente que sur la page web. Pas de proposition de remboursement ni d autre. Chambre. Pas d e discussion possible pour arranger ou une compensation .très déçu car très mal dormi.m nous déconseillons je fortement.

Chambre fonctionelle avec salle de douche privée ce qui est positif. Le personnel est souriant et agréable.
Luminosité très faible petit fenêtre donnant sur plusieurs vis à vis d'immeubles. Dommage que notre douche était bouchée pas terrible pour l'hygiène... Le reste était propre.
Pour un court séjour ( nous 2 nuits) c'est satisfant mais pas plus personnellement.

No nos ha gustado nada.

Hemos estado este fin de semana para la F1 y de la ubicación podemos decir que no estaba mal. Pero hay que tener MUY en cuenta antes de reservar que por el simple hecho de llegar a partir de las 22 horas de la noche te cobran recargo de 20€. Al margen del tema llegada, si quieres vivir una noche de \"terror\" escuchando las tuberías de todo el edificio y a todos los vecinos colindantes como si estuvieran en tu misma habitación,adelante!!!. Por lo demás nos encontramos con enchufes medio descolgados encima de la cama (con el peligro que eso conlleva), las camas y colchones malisimos, la puerta de entrada era de poca seguridad, una luz de mesita de noche anclada pero descorgada de la pared, toallas de baño descoloridas después de imaginamos 100 usos. El WC perdía agua por debajo cuando le tirábamos de la cisterna. Ausencia del gel para ducharte, y había una puerta corredera en el baño que era imposible de cerrar, parecía fuera de su raíl. Nosotros nos conformamos porque íbamos a pasar poco tiempo. Pero la verdad es que nos pareció que deben hacer una reforma integral y de las buenas.

Llegamos dentro de la hora establecida pero el señor de recepción no sabía usar el datáfono así que, literalmente, tuve que cobrarme yo a mí misma. La habitación estaba bien, pero el baño tenía pelos en la ducha y en el váter. Las paredes eran de papel y podíamos escuchar perfectamente la conversación de la gente de la habitación contigua. No repetiría.

Es como si hubiera dormido en un piso de estudiantes a precio de hotel. Un poco de frío en la habitación porque era exterior. La cama muy incómoda ya que parecía que se le habían salido los muelles del medio. Poca insonorización entre habitaciones y con la calle. Y la recepción vacía en toda mi estancia.
Ha sido correcto en general pero también muy caro para lo que ofrecen.

매일 침대시트를 갈아주진않지만 매일 청소와 침대 정리를 해주셨습니다. 다만, 저흰 트읜룸이였는데 너무 좁아서 캐리어를 둘다 펼수없었습니다. 그리고 키핀이 없어서 호스텔임에도 취사를 하거나 음식을 먹을 공간이 없었습니다 저희에게는 이점이 조금 큰 단점으로 다가왔습니다
그러나 와이파이가 정말 잘 되어 좋았습니다.

대학병원 근처라 조용하고 메트로가 가까우며 직원이 친절함. 그러나 방이 너무 좁아서 캐리어 펴기가 힘들지만 대체로 만족함.

Tuvimos que estar toda la noche con el aire acondicionado puesto, porque cuando entramos a la habitación el aire acondicionado ya estaba en marcha, y no había mando en la habitación, salí a la recepción y no había nadie, y tuvimos que tener toda la noche el aire acondicionado puesto cuando no hacía calor y pasamos frio .... Y el suelo estaba sucio y lleno de pelos Y el enchufe del cuarto de baño para enchufar el secador está roto Y descogado
