Great area, walking distance to most places or a short metro ride. Duplex room with 2 bathrooms was incredibly helpful to us as a couple getting ready at the same time. Wish the smart TV's were connected to the internet but there is so much to do nearby that we just made the best of it.

The location was great and the room was clean but there were a couple of things that needed repair. The staff were mixed, one was helpful and friendly (Nadia). However others needed to up their game. The team member at breakfast did not know the price of breakfast, it was expensive for what was on offer. Some hot dishes were charged as extra including sausages! We brought 20 plus people to the hotel roof top bar for a drink, the team member had trouble keeping track of the drink orders. Finally the bell boy did not help a guest with their heavy case up the stairs to the street or open the door for them, he just continued leaning against the front desk watching him manage it himself. Also, another team member at the front desk would help sort an issue - the roof terrace lights were not on despite the area supposed to be open for guests as a result it was dark and dangerous. He said he wouldn't help as he was eating!!! Shame as it really let down the hotel.

Cleanliness was acceptable, but the bedding left much to be desired—neither the mattress nor the sheets were comfortable. The air conditioning struggled to cool the room adequately and was extremely noisy, making it hard to rest. Overall, a terrible night’s sleep, which is surprising for a hotel of this caliber.

It was a quick one night stay to catch a flight the next morning, but it was a great location, surrounded by lots of dining options. Reception was friendly and helpful. Design is a strong point and while our room was right off the lobby and I was concerned for noise, we had a good night’s rest. The serene Buddha in the little courtyard outside our room was a pleasant surprise.

This hotel was amazing. From the moment we arrived we felt so comfortable. The hotel staff was kind and gave us recommendations of where to go and where not to go. The room was very clean and felt so cozy. The bed was very comfortable and had 5 pillows that were comfortable as well. The bathroom was a good size and the shower was nice. We had a nice view on the balcony. We visited the rooftop during the day and night and it was a lovely environment. We had red and white sangria on the roof and both were delicious. The surrounding area is really nice and felt safe even late at night. It was very easy to catch a cab. It was very quiet as well. I would absolutely stay here again and I hope I do!

Checking in went smoothly and the front desk who checked us in on 1/31 was very friendly; she was even able to check us in early. All was great until our third night on 1/2. The hotel was doing some plumbing work and our water got shut off without any notification. We called the front desk around 5:45pm and the woman who worked said it would be turned on in half an hour. Nope. I had to call the front desk again and she said she would find out from her colleague and called me back in 10. Nope. I had to go downstairs to find out. The front desk woman who has blonde hair was neither helpful nor empathetic whatsoever. She was giving me all these excuses that didn't make any sense. She said it was the neighborhood doing repair hence it wasn't only our hotel was affected with water being shut off. Funny, cause I called the hotel across the street and asked, and guess what, they have water! We left for dinner and just crossing our fingers the water will be turned on. Nope. Instead, we found a bottle of wine but water still off. It was midnight and I had to go downstairs again, talking to the night front desk and told him I'd be checking tomorrow if it's not fixed tonight. He seemed clueless and gave me some excuses, again. He sent a maintenance guy to fix it and by the time it was fixed, it was almost 2am! I wish instead of sending us a bottle of wine, they would check the water instead and fixed it before we came back! No apology or acknowledgment from mgmt. Poor communication!!

Excellent design, fantastic room (duplex suite) and great location in the Eixample area of Barcelona.

A very comfortable stay in terms of the quality of bed and sofa and the look of the hotel interiors. Quality bathroom products etc.

However, it took around 10 minutes (no exaggeration) to get hot water through the taps in the room. It seemed to be faster on my last day so maybe they sorted it, but one of the staff said it happens with the ground floor suites.

There was no kettle in the room, just a coffee pod machine. The room only provides 2 coffee pods, and you have to buy extra at €3.50 per capsule. (It’s the first room I’ve ever stayed in where there isn’t free tea and coffee making facilities). Plus, they only left bottled water on the first day. They did a turn down service (i.e. left a chocolate on the pillow) on one day but not the others.

Inside the room, was a lounge area downstairs with sofa, desk and shower room, there was a room upstairs with bed and sofa, with an additional raised area/elevated section with the main bathroom. A set of doors led to an outdoor metal staircase which in turn led to a shared terrace with pool.

The breakfast was good but would have been better with freshly baked bread, and a wider variety of fresh fruit.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. It was appreciated that they greet clients walking through the reception area.

Great property!! We were a large group 5rooms 7 night stay… the neighborhood is amazing; Hotel in great conditions with helpful respectful staff!

We had 1 of the rooms in the 1st night not working the A/C; they lended us a small table fan to make it through the night, and changed us to a different room the next day; we got a accessible room which is quite nicer and bigger and has a more convenient bath/shower.

Beautiful hotel in central Barcelona

We had a great stay! Beautiful, clean rooms and the staff went above and beyond. The rooftop pool and bar were an added bonus. Centrally located in quiet but walkable area just a short distance from the main sites. The gym was being renovated but they graciously directed me to a sister hotel down the street to access their gym for a workout. I would definitely stay again and recommend!

1) check-in: it is very late (3 pm). I arrived before 11 am, and it was nothing available. So, I wanted to change my clothing, which I did in the toilet 😐
2) check-out: I did the night before (as usual) to avoid wasting time and in the morning I was told that they didn’t include the taxes for the last day. Honestly, I was not happy to waste time.
3) I was at this same hotel many years ago and it has not been redecorated. Room items and facilities are outdated.

Nice hotel. In a good location. Drains in bathroom would welcome a slash of bleach. Hotel lacks atmosphere. Breakfast is pleasant, but with radom charges for a sausage ?
Lobby bar is very small and unappealing. You have to telephone for service at the bars, despite Hotel reception and lobby staff (who are not busy) can see you waiting. Overall nice stay, just needs to be more attentive to guests.

Location was very convenient from airport by train, as well as to Gaudi properties, food and drink. Our room was not available until an hour and a half after checkin time, which was unfortunate for our napping ability so our initial evening plans were shot. The hotel was attractive, clean and desk staff were helpful. The pool is smaller than it appears in photos, but a nice amenity in the heat, and you can use the bathrobes provided as coverups. Afternoon siestas were not possible as that’s when cleaning staff were active, and by active I mean super loud in the hallways. We requested two beds - it was two single mattresses side by side, with separately tucked in sheets, which wasn’t actually an issue for us. Air conditioning is controlled by the front desk, but when we asked for it to be a bit cooler, they changed it immediately for us. The bathrooms are modern, but I suggest you close the doors when not in use as the drains made lots of noise when other rooms were showering etc. Lots of nice toiletries provided. Blackout blinds were a delight! We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice. Two elevators so we never had to wait. Overall a positive experience.

The design of the property was very unique. The room was a little small and the floorboards were a bit uneven but otherwise very nice and clean. It did take a couple of days for us to get an iron which made dressing to go out a bit harder. The staff was very friendly and were able to take care of most of our needs.

Avoid this hotel- rude, noisy and smelly.

Our stay was very disappointing due to the false advertisement of this hotel. The hotel was advertised as “sound proof rooms” and “a smoke free hotel”. Both of these statements are false. The noise from other guests was ridiculously loud and could be heard very clearly from inside the room. We were woken up by another rooms alarm two mornings which were left to ring in excess of 40 minutes. They hosted a private 18th birthday party one night of our stay that went on until 1am which was incredibly disruptive. The other major issue was the fact that the whole hotel smelled of cannabis, the smell even transported to inside of our hotel room and was incredibly strong. People were smoking inside their rooms and also on the rooftop bar which is actually an inclosed space attached to the stairway, hence why the smell traveled throughout the whole hotel. When we raised this with the hotel manager, we were told that there “wasn’t anything they could do” and they can’t control what other guests are doing inside their rooms. We had booked a superior room and the only suggestion was to move us to a downgraded room to get us away from our smokey neighbours. This would not have helped the issue as the whole hotel smelled. They weren’t interested in finding a solution and used avoidance tactics until we checked out. It’s a real shame because the hotel was nicely decorated and we were happy with our room when we first arrived but these two issues really were a deal breaker. So disappointing.

This is a great little hotel. Rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and good heating / air con. The bathrooms have a glass wall which might be a problem if at the beginning of a relationship. Very stylish. Breakfast is very good and although it doesn’t look like there’s a lot on offer they cook eggs to order as part of the deal. Staff are very friendly and put up with my appalling attempts at speaking Spanish.

Room on the second floor has an open terrase where the hotel permits it to smoke Marijuana. The smell and smoke will come up to all the rooms with terrase incl. the executive rooms. The reception persuaded us to upgrade to the room where we not only cannot use the balcony but also not keep the door open. And with the spanish law, guests can only smoke in their private closed space. Very unpleasant stay.

The hotel is very nice, a decent four star hotel. The walls are thin so we had disrupted sleep nearly all five our nights. The fitness room is two pieces of equipment in a small room, though if you ask they can arrange to use the fitness room at a sister hotel.

The three level apartment was well-designed so that the lower level with a sitting room, closet and bathroom was great for lounging, work and cleaning up. The central level was the main bedroom with an upstairs bathroom w/bathtub/shower. The spaces were designed to be bright and open. Outside was a staircase to a lounge area with a narrow lap-pool. The breakfast was very good with a buffet variety of Catalon treats as well as items available for order from the kitchen. The lobby and reception area had a variety of waiting areas with very nice furniture and art. It was a wonderful place to base our explorations of Barcelona. The staff were very helpful with advice about sightseeing and restaraunts.

I went for the duplex room, which had the semi private (shared with 3 other duplex rooms). Great to have your own up-stairs lounge to chill when it’s too hot to sit outside (I’m not much of a sun worshiper). I had room service for a few nights, which I realise is a bit much considering that there are so many other restaurants to choose from - but I was a solo traveller, so for me it was ideal :)

Nice hotel and good location. I payed extra for a room with balcony which was worth it but just viewed onto a courtyard so not a great view. Staff were friendly and I told them it was my partners birthday and they brought us champagne and chocolates we we really appreciated. Maids were very good. Only thing to say is that the rooftop bar is not open all the time and the shower in the room is in a bath so not the best, if there was a walk in shower I would think higher of it. Overall good stay and location is just outside of the city centre so it’s a 10 min cab or 30 minute walk.

The hotel Granados 83 is a fantastic place to stay if visiting beautiful Barcelona. Everything in our stay was more than expected. The front desk staff was great, the room was excellent and very clean, and the in hotel food was fantastic as they do offer a traditional western world breakfast in addition to the traditional Spanish breakfast.
Very safe neighborhood, but the hotel was a tad difficult to find from the subway station as a first time visitor. Absolutely would stay here again when visiting.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The service at the hotel was fantastic, from the welcome to the checkout. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and clean. The location of the hotel was pretty central as well. The only thing I wish the hotel had was an iron and coffee/team making machine. However I was able to get hot water and milk pretty easily (and for free) by calling room service

Great location! Friendly and helpful staff, nice hotel and good breakfast. I didn’t like the pillows in the bedroom, but overall everything was really good.
