We enjoyed the size of our room. It was big enough for 3 twin beds. Pool and Breakfast were ok. Toilet didn’t flush very well and we had to keep flush several times. Location is very convenient for metro and train. There’s a small restaurant and convenience store across the street if you are too tired to walk.

Great Hotel! Location is perfect for all around and easy to get to touristy spots.

Our room had option for bunk beds for the kids which they enjoyed and the main bed was very large (hard to find in Europ and super comfortable!!

This was definitely not a 4-star hotel, 3-star at most. Moldy bath tub, no hand/face towels. Noisy. Not just city noise but it is located above the subway train so it was train noisy. Blankets and towels could use some updating. And the breakfast, meh.

Only stayed one night, but the whole family loved this hotel! We had a family room with bunk beds for the kids and even though the room isn’t huge, there was plenty of space for all of us and our bags. The rain shower, heated towel rack, and bathrobes are nice touches. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The area around the hotel is great - lots of stores, cafes, restaurants, and close to the metro. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed for three nights in a premium family room. The room itself was impressive—spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a bed that was incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, offering fresh orange juice and a good variety of food.

So, why the 4-star review? Unfortunately, our room on the 6th floor had a balcony, but the door was locked, and the hotel refused to open it. They claimed it was due to city regulations and safety concerns, but this explanation didn’t make much sense to us. It was frustrating not being able to sit on the balcony and enjoy the view, which definitely took away from our overall experience.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. The staff was helpful, the room was reasonably large for Europe, and quiet with comfortable beds. The Murphy bunk beds were fun for the kids and helped save space. The Catalonia brand hotels, at least the two I stayed at, are fairly similar, so you know what to expect if you've stayed at one before. It was a good value and it was close to the metro. My only complaint is that the breakfast was quite expensive and they didn't serve food after 11pm, which was a little bit of a disappointment after arriving late at night. We would definitely stay here again.

I will never stay with them again. Worse than the below details are their unacceptable customer service afterwards.
Here a summary of my experience:

+ The plumbing goes directly through the room. Every single time someone takes a shower or goes to the toilet, the water pipe makes loud noises next to the bed

+ Construction started EVERY MORNING at 8am RIGHT OUTSIDE the window of my room with hammer and electric machinery

+ The room was right next to the main street and on the first floor which means I could hear every single car drive by all day and all night because the walls and windows have very low sound protection

+ The door of the neighboring room was broken, so every time the neighboring guest would leave the room or come back, it would make extraordinary loud cracking noises 

I sleep in hotels usually 100 days per year over the last ten years and never ever have I experienced a room like this.

Hotel is good, service is GREAT!

Hotel is located relatively close to major attractions especially the l’eixample And modernista attractions. Local nightlife is a bit lackluster but was acceptable for a family trip. Hotel staff was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to make the visit enjoyable. The rooms are well kept but could have more comfortable beds. You will enjoy your stay!

Room temperature was way too hot. Cooling system did very little to reduce the temperature. Had to open the windows to lower the temperature. Which allowed the smell of cigarette smoke from the open courtyard below and at least one other room that smoked at there open window to linger into the room.

Good location, next door to the metro and close to some nice bars and restaurants. Very pleasant staff who tried their best to help.
My complaints. Mess up on check in and told that the hotel was overbooked. This was finally resolved, but still not acceptable. Rooms had no air conditioning in the winter and ones on the upper floors were stiflingly hot. Staff’s response - open the window. My room looked inwards to a closed courtyard - no daylight or any idea of what the outside weather was like.

Definitely ideal with children.
Rooms are nice maybe a bit on the small size but good none the less.
No tea or coffee facilities in the room & breakfast can be found much cheaper with the variety of cafes outside.
Cannot really class pool as a swimming pool. Very small,

The reception staff were very nice and willing to help. The hotel is about 20mins straight walk to plaza Catalonia and has some nice restaurants close by (petit Bangkok, mussol, appreando). Didn’t have the breakfast as it was €17 per person; went to a nearby restaurant and had lovely breakfast for €26 (total price for a group of 3!!!). The only downside is the room doesn’t have coffee or tea making facilities and the room got too warm at times. Overall a lovely hotel.

The heating, unfortunately, was on overdrive. We could not turn it down and the room was unbearably hot so not much sleep.

I am sure the hotel fixed it the next day but we were flying that morning so can’t confirm.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and nice. The area was great. It's right next to the Metro, so it's easy to get around and get to and from tje airport. This could be viewed by some as a negative since you can hear the trains pass underneath. I was on the 4th floor, and while I heard it at times, it wasn't bothersome to me. There are many bars and restaurants in the surrounding blocks and mini markets too. It's a short walk to Casa Mila and Casa Batllo and a short metro ride away to La Rambla. The room was nice and clean. Same with the bathroom. I would stay here again.

Everything in this hotel is old .the rooms have a strange smell.the mattress was old and the flash was licking.the stuff although I kept telling them about the problem ,didn't fix it.the pool was tiny. The entrance was dirty and disappointing.the only thing that was good,was the breakfast.

First room smelt mold, I asked to change room to a higher floor, less smelly because I had allergic reaction due to mold. Cleaning stuff didn't change towels every day. Tremors felt because of the metro, I thought an earthquake was happening every 5 minutes. Male stuff at the reception was rude. Female stuff gentle. Breakfast adequate.

The hotel is very well located with both Metro and bus on the same block. Car hire is available one block away. Unusually for a city hotel there is a small swimming pool. Unfortunately beds and pillows are rather uncomfortable and the WiFi is poor.

When we arrived at this hotel in Barcelona on April 26th we were told they did not have a room for us because of delayed construction issues. They send us to another hotel to stay for 4 nights until they had a room for us. We then had to move back to their hotel again. What an inconvenience!

Noisy hotel built on top of a metro line!

Even through 2 sets of double glazed doors, I could hear the traffic outside… on the 5th floor! When the wind blew (and it did!), it woke me up, and I learned later that the rumble I could hear constantly getting louder and softer, was the metro. My friends were staying on the first floor- no chance of sleep without earplugs!

Objectively speaking about location, I'm not sure I would stay here again. It was nice to be able to walk to Casa Battló and Casa Mila and Passeig de Gracia, but each night we had to travel outside of the neighborhood to find more lively areas for tapas and bars. It seemed like a classy part of town, but not a lot of character. It just depends on what you want.

The room was just fine. Above avergae, very clean, nice closet storage and drawers. Large shower for European standards. Nothing particularly special, but a nice hotel.

Very convenient location; clean and well-kept. We didn't eat in the hotel, so can't comment on the food. I asked for a queen bed, and the setup we got was much like a cruise ship (2 twins attached together), which worked out quite well. The A/C seemed to be hit-or-miss, so we were quite warm a couple of nights. It's probably a European thing, but there were no wash cloths - if you're like us, you may want to pack a couple.

It's a decent hotel

This hotel is positioned on top of the metro system. My first assigned room was on the 1st floor and the room rattled slightly when the trains were moving, which is frequent until after midnight. Then the window view was basically concrete so I felt like I was staying in a dungeon. The hotel staff moved me to a new room the next day when others started checking out. My new room - on the 3rd floor - was much better. I could still hear the trains but by the last couple of nights it no longer woke me up. Overall the rooms are decent and I felt safe in this hotel. However, I will not stay here again. Next time I will search for a hotel not on top of the train system.

Sheets were thin and there was a tiny hole. I had to stand on the tub to see my wholeself since there was no full length mirror in my room. If I was in the bathroom and my neighbors were in the bathroom I could hear them talking. I actually called them to tell them so that they would not say anything embarrassing. My daughter called the hotel and they said they did not know what room we were in so she could not contact us and she was so upset that she was in tears. The room in general felt old and dark. The bed felt old and there was nothing comfortable about the bed linen.
