Overall the stay here was amazing and I recommend it to anyone staying in the Barcelona area. The manager, Melissa, was spectacular and most helpful with proving excellent service and helpful ideas to make sure our stay in Barcelona was the best! The rooms and common areas are kept spotless and the housekeeping staff couldn’t be better. Excellent rating overall!

The property had charm however looked nothing quite like the photos online. The room was extremely small and had no view of the city whatsoever. I requested the room with a balcony but only got a small Juliet balcony. The hallways were so narrow that we had to go one at a time and the other had to wait while we open the door each time. The hotel was clean but not as high end as it looked in the photos. It was very quiet neighborhood so good for those that appreciate that but overall I would take a generic hotel over this any day of the week. I don’t mean to be harsh but rather want an authentic review for the people at we were a little underwhelmed with this property

Everything is excellent, except that during the very very quiet night， you can hear the intermittent sound made by the plumbing tube and the wall. The vibration sound created by the plumbing at about 20 sec interval. It is a very subtle sound, it bother me but not my wife. It took me an extra 5 min to fell into sleep. Two of my daughters said it is the 2nd best hotel they ever had. They rate Shargrilla the top. I will come back again for sure if i ever needed to.

Perfect location for exploring the city. The front desk staff were very helpful and making recommendations. So many shops and restaurants right out your front door. Lots of historical sites and transportation right at the front door. Barcelona is a fabulous Cosmopolitan city.

Perfectly placed apartment, super close to the Metro and the more traditional part of Barcelona, Gracia. So quick to reach all the usual, popular tourist spots via walking or the Metro.
Reception were so friendly and extremely helpful in booking restaurant reservations and finding out about vegan options at one particular place we wanted to have a meal at. Communication via email and WhatsApp was fast and efficient.
The apartment was amazing! Extremely spacious and had everything we needed. Fabulously comfy beds too after a busy day sightseeing.

Hotel feels like a home

Our room had a terrace and was comfortable and spacious. The hotel is located close to amenities. The receptionists are lovely, and we were given recommendations for places to visit and things to explore.

Unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations, particularly given the premium price we paid for 3 nights.

Upon arrival, we noticed a very unpleasant odor emanating from the toilet in my parents' bathroom. The stench was so strong that it disrupted their sleep and made the room almost uninhabitable. Despite spraying a significant amount of our own room spray-approximately one-third of the bottle-the smell persisted throughout our stay.

As a result of this issue, the four of us were forced to share the remaining toilet, which was far from ideal and caused considerable inconvenience.

Moreover, we also discovered that two light bulbs in the apartment were not working, which further contributed to the discomfort of our stay.

We reported these issues on the first day of our stay, but disappointingly, there was lack of responsive. especially considering the reputation of your establishment and the price we paid for our accommodation. We travelled 3weeks in Europe and never had this unpleasant experience and we are staying at hotel near be mate place in Barcelona, and guess what there is no smell coming from the toilet nor bathroom. Def nothing to do with Barcelona city. Not worth the money and definitely we didn't get a service what we have paid for.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed. The staff helped us arrange a doctor visit for my daughter who was not feeling well.
Anything we needed they were more than happy to accommodate.
For our last night, we were given the name of the best tapas spot that is loved by locals.it didn’t disappoint.

We really loved the location of the hotel however we felt our apartment which was a one bedroom apartment was very cramped. They have no closets there; so you basically live our of your suitcase. They offer you one time cleaning service but the housekeeper didn't really clean our floor or bathrooms. She just changed out sheets and towels. So I had to ask again. Communication was great with Melissa, She was very patient with all of our questions. Overall if we come back; would opt for a 2 bedroom rather then a one bedroom

Mostly a pleasant experience however, we stayed on the third floor and whenever anyone on the patios down below on the first level were smoking, the smell permeated the entire apartment. People here smoke quite often so it was extremely disturbing to the point it would wake us up at night. This would happen several times a day and at night. The weather and view is beautiful so having the windows open was part of the experience so having to close them to attempt to keep the smell out was unfortunate. It was quite loud outside at times but that did not bother us. Also, the apartment has a small combo washer/dryer and not sure if it's normal but it takes 4 hours per load and we still had to hang dry after.

We recently stayed at Be Mate Paseo de Gracia and had a wonderful experience. Arriving early, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room featuring a balcony, which added a lovely touch to our stay.

The location is excellent, conveniently situated for exploring the city. The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing much-needed rest after long days of sightseeing. Though the hotel is higher priced, the quality is evident in every aspect.

The shower was stellar, offering a luxurious experience, and the king bed was amazing, ensuring we were well-rested each night.

Overall, our stay at Be Mate Paseo de Gracia was exceptional. From the prime location and comfortable accommodations to the high-quality amenities, it was worth every penny. Highly recommended for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Great location in the centre of Barcelona. Room was a reasonable size, comfortable and functional. Reception is only open between 10am and 6pm. I was there for work so was never at the hotel between those hours. Not really a problem as they communicated well through WhatsApp. I stay here again.

This area was supposed to be a nice and quiet area, however, the restaurant nearby still can make some kind of noise in the evening, close the windows then. As for safety, I think it is, but! My friend’s bag was almost grabbed by a thief while she was having breakfast, luckily she acted fast and the neighbor were helping to stop.
As for our room, remember, DO NOT book room, DO BOOK apartment, I didn’t know that was a huge difference, the room was so small that we didn’t have space to open our luggage :( The daily cleaning was good though.

Our apartment was beautiful and spacious as well as in a gorgeous location. The beds were extremely comfortable. The apartment was well stocked with everything we needed. I think the only complaint was the check in process - there isn’t anyone working the desk until late morning so we couldn’t drop our bags and had to spend money going to a sister hotel to store our bags and then again to move our bags to the new hotel. Also the check in sign and directions could be more clear as it’s confusing where to go and what to do when checking in. Other than that we had a fantastic stay and would stay there again.

We truly loved our stay at Be Mate. The main person we interacted with at the reception was Ramon, who is one of the nicest and most helpful people we met at a hotels.com booking. Since this was a relatively small occupancy facility, we felt we got personalized attention. Ramon showed us around the amenities, including how to operate a not so straight forward fresh coffee machine that brewed tasty coffee. On the day of our departure, Ramon personally met us out front and called a few taxis for our large family group.

The units are spacious and well maintained. Everything was in good working order. The internet connection was fast and sufficient. The beds and couches were very comfortable.

We really appreciated the location. Just steps from fancy shops and more low key stores as well. There is a very tasty Tapas place within walking distance, and the subway station is steps from the building. Easy to get taxis here too. The views from the roof are beautiful, and the furniture makes it very conducive for hanging out and enjoying the outside.

I highly recommend staying here. If I’m lucky to get back to Barcelona soon, I would definitely consider staying here again!

This hotel offers a great location and everything you could possibly need in the rooms. We booked a one bedroom apartment for a family of there. The kitchen had all the utensils and electronics you could need to prepare all kinds of meals, from the most simple breakfast to an elaborate oven roasted chunk of meat. The apartment came with a washer/dryer, which we had trouble figuring out at first until we realized that the seeing we were using leaves the clothes a little ramped because it assumes you want to iron them right after and the humidity helps with wrinkles. Having said that, i couldn't figure out how to completely dry the clothes regardless of the setting we used. Sadly, we had to pack some clothes that were still a little wet.
Ramon and Husni in the reception area were extremely helpful. I've used this property before in both Spain and Mexico city. We are fans of their Room Mate line of hotels as well.
