Decent location, kind of kitschy atmosphere with the athletics theme. The shower head fell off when turning yhe shower on, but also the cheapest place to stay in the area. So generally worth the value.

The girl Karla on reception yelled at my son , he is from Sweden because his friend visited him, she called names his friend, then caused scandal, my son was supposed to stay the last night(Oct 26,2025), he paid for it. But she called police, & they stepped for her! What a terrible country , corrupted police! Stay away from this cheap stuff hostel. They didn't return his money for that night!

The hostel was actually very nice. I do want to give a shout out to both Marta and Alex. Marta was outstanding. She was probably the best customer service person I have ran across in a very long time. Alex is just as awesome. There were a few issues though I had asked twice to have the Lock on the bathroom door fixed, and I was totally ignored. So that was a problem. The other issue was the Internet. I could not get it to work the entire time I was there. One of the other reception person tried to blame it on the iPhone, which was nonsense. So unfortunately, I did not have Internet the entire time I was there. The last issue is that I could hear everything from my neighbor when they were talking, bathroom, laughing. It was disgusting. There was no privacy whatsoever. I heard every word they said from there room that’s how thin those walls were.

So you only give people bed sheets and not bed covers which I couldn’t really get a decent nights sleep in also don’t provide any cleaning equipment plus on the second to last day I had to get taken out of my hostel and removed from a guy who kept snoring when he should of been the one getting removed.

More hotel than hostel in the private rooms

Property was well positioned in the heart of Barcelona with tons of amenities (that I did not use). I had a private room with bathroom which was spotless and well kept through out my stay.

The entire hostel was VERY quiet which was perfect for an old lady like me! I would recommend a private room at BcnSportsHostels for anyone looking for a budget hotel type experience.

My one quibble is that the mattress was pretty uncomfortable, I could feel every spring, but it did not stop me from getting a good night's sleep each night after exhausting myself in Barcelona each day.

I went to check in today at 1.30pm with my hotel booking saying 2pm check in. The brunette girl on reception said they charge 30 euro for luggage storage (bizarre to charge??) and that checkin was 3pm. I showed my booking saying 2pm (an unwell, solo young female traveller dying to get settled in) and she yelled at me “well I’m telling you 3pm now”. She yelled swear words at me so I no longer felt welcome to stay here. I said ok, cancel my booking I don’t want to stay here and she said “we don’t want you here, get out… and waved me to the door”. I asked for her name and she just mocked me. The most horrendous experience that left me in tears on the streets stranded. Brunette girl, you seriously need to leave customer service. You are a sad sad person. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! EVER!!!!!!

Horrible experience, been turned on the street coz didn’t have €3 city tax with me, although on the website it states they only accept card payments. Rude staff lady shouting on me over &3, no empty i was travelling over 20h to there. Person like this shouldn’t work at customer service in any circumstances!
Even though my room was prepaid she told me i can sleep on the street. 0/10

Nope, don’t stay here.

What a terrible hostel. By far the worst bed I’ve ever slept in, every bed in my room has springs that will constantly be digging into your body. Could barely sleep, by body aches from that bed. When I asked reception for a blanket, they apparently do not own any blankets. To be fair she did provide me with extra sheets, but they were not enough as the springs digging into my back for so intense. I am not usually picky with beds but wow.
Kitchen was a mess, this may be do to the guests though. I did see the cleaning lady doing her best. Never room in the fridge, barely room in the kitchen. It’s a large hostel with a tiny kitchen. Oh and it closes at 22:30 so that kind of sucked.
One reception lady was nice, the others were rude and short and don’t interact with you. During my check in the only word that was said to me was “Passport”. Terrible experience 10/10 would not recommend this place. Spend the extra few euro’s for a better place, and closer to Barcelona as this is a quite out of the way.

I'm sure this is a cool place to stay but when I was there, the hostel had about 30 kids from a soccer team running around. It didn't make for an enjoyable experience. On top of that, I had some pretty dirty bunkmates so all the signs said GTFO. I didn't stay the night, I booked a hotel instead and checked out next day. My stay was probably one of a kind. Also the wifi wasn't that good.

The hostel was in a great location.

They don’t have any bins in the room I stayed in, so there was no where to put rubbish. It was so hot in the room and I couldn’t open the window / door to outside and there was no air con.
I wanted a hot drink, but there are no cups in the kitchen, just glasses.
The beds are uncomfortable. The mattresses could do with changing as springs were digging in me when I slept.
I booked a female dorm, but was given a mixed dorm. I thought that I was on my own until 2 men walked in in the middle of the night and frightened me. They gave me a key to a female dorm, but all the beds were full.
I booked this place on the good reviews. Maybe I was just unlucky, but I don’t think it’s as good as the reviews unfortunately.

There were some mean staffs. A not-so-nice front lady told me to check in after 3. Well, it says “check-in 2pm”. She still demands to check out at 10am sharp. Well, NOT FAIR. They locked the kitchen while I was cooking something for the “cleaning”. It was only 8am. They close it at 10pm. What if I’m hungry at night?

Living there, we can’t feel safety. We lived the room 311 (beside the terrace). At the first night, there were some teenagers climbing over the gate from the terrace to our room 311 entrance. It made us nervous for our safety in the coming fews day. On the last day, there were lots of students (maybe primary school students) living there. At that night, two students were begging us for MONEY when using the same lift with us.

It seemed somewhat new but a lot of the common areas were locked (above 1st floor). It was reasonable clean. Very loud when large groups came in late as the walls are very thin. The shower door is see through and doesn’t lock, not sure who thought that was a good idea. The staff was NOT helpful. It was the weirdest experience ever having the reception staff seeming annoyed with my presence and has to pull teeth for any details. Seems like a place that caters to school
Groups where they’re already planned. Also, seemed like a half way house most of the time. Good area though... can cook in kitchen however most people don’t clean up after themselves.

Check in is smooth. I was able to check in at 1300 instead of 1400. The room was fairly clean. However, I noticed a guy came in clean the sink very fast and he just folded the blanket and took the sheets. So, the blankets are not washed per each use. Also, my food was stolen, eaten when I put it in the communal refrigerator. So, do not put your food in the refrigerator. It is very loud until 0200 in the morning. People are running in the hallways, and people are hanging outside conversing until early in the morning. You will use your sheets until you check out. You will rent a towel for 3 euros. Internet is sucks.

Waited over 1 hour to be checked in. When i qas waiting to be checked in, i had to go and ask if my room was ready, nobody came qnd informed me it was ready, as they said they would. If i would went and ask, i d be qaiting today still.
Hotel facilities are bad, on the advert it doesnt say the pool and gym are not free.

Good location and as a hole, staff were friendly but rooms were very dirty, toilets and showers never cleaned during my stay and the noise, don’t get me started on the noise. Rollaway lockers on wooden floor boards woke everyone up whenever someone used them and walls paper thin so lots of music, talking and banging / screaming coming from adjoining rooms. Look elsewhere

My only issues I had was the long wait to check in. I was so tired and had to wait over 20 minutes since there was only one person at the desk and the party in front of me was a group of 15 guys.
Then I had the unfortunate suprise that my linen wasn't clean. The comforter on my bed had a spot on it and the comforter on the top bunk had questionable hair on it. There was also a smug on the wall which turned out to be blood once the lighting changed and it was wiped, but you get what you pay for right.

Very well managed large hostel. Staff very efficient abet aloof, i.e. not very friendly. The exception was frontdesk receptionist Laura who was very helpful and pleasant. I arrived early and my room was not ready. She helped me store my luggage on the 3F, instructed me which Metro station to go to, and suggested a few places to visit until 2 PM when I can get my room. The common area could be laud but that's expected in a youth hostel. The sleeping areas were quiet though.WiFi was very good in all areas of the hostel. So was the hot water. They have coin-operated lockers, vending machines and laundry machines. Several supermarkets are nearby.

Any time you needed to talk to a staff member they seemed to be too busy chatting. The most important thing was thatthe room was not clean. Same rubbish in a bit for 3days. Also you could not open the window. The smell was awful.

My hostel room was a mess. There were empty bottles of soap, shampoo, water, etc from previous guest everywhere. There was no counter space because of all the junk left behind by previous guests. When I first arrived, I thought it belonged to the girls already there but it wasn't their mess either. The hostel staff doesn't really clean the rooms either. The trash can was overflowing. Plus a million other little things that added up to make it a not that great hostel. Just book somewhere else, not here.

My bed was comfy, the linen clean, the bathroom clean. The common area of the hostel is fairly large, with computer access, wireless internet and even a kitchen. The hostel is overall very clean and secure, with staff being friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again if I were traveling on a budget.

I loved my stay here. It's a really friendly and clean hostel. The rooms itself are very clean and have good sized lockers in all the rooms. The staff were really friendly and happy to give advice. Everything in this hostel was great value for money. Its perfect for back packers and young travelers looking to meet people.

Great atmosphere and most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but I only used it for sleeping. The hostel is right close to Passeig de Gracia, yet the area around the hostel feels quiet and relaxed. Overall a very good place to stay and i'd reccommed it especially if you're going to be travelling to a new place alone.

All ok a nice cheap option in a great area

It was ok I would stay there again, the staff are very nice, the area is great with nice restaurants and walkable streets and safe day or night. Not bad and not good all ok. Bedrooms are a little crampt but everything else makes up for it. It is and expensive city and this is not a bad option. Lovely breakfast I enjoyed each morn for about 3 euros. Metro underground is 10- 15 mins walk. Take ear plugs though as the noise from other rooms travels with very little sound insulation.

Nice hostel, but too dirty!

The hostel is nice enough and has good facilities, but there always seems to be something missing.
For exampe, there is a cinema, but it seems to be locked all the time ; there is a kitchen, but there are no mugs, cups or glasses available.

There is a laundry room, which is handy, and the olympic games based decor is quirky and reasonably engaging.

The rooms are ok, although there is not enough storage space. There is, however, climate control in the rooms, which is a big plus.

Last point, and the most important in my view: this is a rather dirty hostel. It's not so much that there is ingrained grime everywhere, but the surface dirtiness is hard to ignore - dishes overflowing in the kitchen, old food in the full to the brim fridge, no cleaning in the dining room means filthy tables, and it is unclear to me how often the rooms get cleaned - a combination of poor discipline from the guests, no broom available or cleaning service, and lack of storage space makes for messy rooms where you don't fancy walking bare-footed.
