We really enjoyed our stay at this Bonavista Apartments property! It was very central and close to transit stations, local attractions, and restaurants/cafes. We also really appreciated the storage lockers located inside the building where we left our luggage before check in time. The apartment was spacious and we loved having a kitchen, laundry and two bedrooms. Be mindful that while the kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, you still have to buy your own supplies (salt/pepper, cooking oil…) so you can bring some of that stuff with you and save some money from having to buy it there. Shout out to Víctor who was very responsive to my questions before our stay and when we first arrived!

A biger beds would be better as there were two slim single beds put together you sort of like drop in the middle as the beds separate if you move a lot easly. also shower preasure copuld be better,not a big deal really as there is alwyas hot water and works perfectly well.

Good location, clean, good communication. Within a few blocks for shopping, restaurants and public transportation. Nice to have 2 bedrooms. The larger bedroom faces the street and Spain hangs out late… bring ear plugs. Our son is 5’11’, the twin beds are narrow and short.

It was very nice to arrive somewhere and feel as if you’re already part of the area. Staying in the apartment gives you all the comfort of being at a hotel while having the benefits of being at home. The area was gorgeous surrounded with lovely local shops and cafes and only a walk away from the city center

We liked the proximity to Provençia and Diagonal metro stations. When we arrived, we noticed the shower wasn’t draining well and maintenance was sent within 12 hours to remedy the situation. Very impressed. The fan above the master bed was turning the wrong way for summer (should be pushing air down, not pulling it up) but couldn’t get up high enough to switch it). Was nice to be within easy walking distance of the Casa Mila, Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia. Longer to get to other sections of town though. Would be helpful to give instructions in the welcome email on how to take the metro from the airport (Line 9 to Collbanc, then Line 5 to Diagonal). With the Hola Barcelona card, this was super easy for both arriving and leaving. Since we come from an area that doesn’t use Metro, having these instructions ahead of time would have been helpful.

Overall a good experience. The check in process was very easy & Victor was responsive, fast, friendly, & explained everything. The apartment was clean, spacious enough for the 3 of us, & is in a very convenient location to restaurants & a grocery store, with easy access to public transportation & cabs. Quieter than more touristy areas but bring earplugs if you're used to no noise at night.
Unfortunately there were guests that were extremely loud in the night & through 3-4 in the morning. Physical & verbal fighting & screaming in their room, stairwell, & out front. I called & left a message for Bonavista but did not hear back for 2 days. I called again as we were on day 3 of this & was told that no one had checked messages & that the guests had checked out. The lack of response to the issue was very concerning & left us with little sleep & less time to enjoy Barcelona.

Also one day someone walked right into the apartment saying that he was there to fix the ac unit.. in January. The apartment policies state that no one will enter the premises unless communicated in advance - no one reached out to us. I had an international plan that kept my phone working but no call. I called Bonavista & was told that he needed to fix the ac/heating unit & that they were trying to repair everything since it was the start of a new year. We agreed he would not enter the apartment until after we left. We would stay again but communication & action on issues needs improvement.

This was the second of two apartments we stayed at in Barcelona. Unlike the first, it was clear Bonavista really puts their guests first. The staff was very responsive and helpful whenever I had a question or needed assistance. They made every effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible - even before we checked in. The property is ideally located close to metro, restaurants, shopping and full grocery store. It was clean, safe and fully stocked with everything we needed. The apartment itself was spacious enough for my family of two adults and two youth. My husband even took advantage of the rooftop - a nice retreat for coffee or drinks. We would definitely stay at Bonavista Apartments again and highly recommend it, especially for first timers in Barcelona.

Cozy apartment in a great location

We had a late booking for four nights, Victor who hosted us was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is in a great location, tapa restaurants, a supermarket, cafes are all nearby, very convenient. La Ramble, La Sagrada Familia, Casa Mila are all in walking distance. The apartment room was clean, cute and cozy, got all we needed, we especially loved the little balcony! The only small issue was the late night noise as its right at the road side, but it's not really a big problem for us. We would love to come back to stay here again if we visit Barcelona in the future!

Location is good. Not too far a walk from anything. Rooms and beds are fine. Bathroom is small and no room for any thing - needs hooks. Couch in living room is very uncomfortable for sitting - should be replaced. Apt is not well supplied - a little bit of instant coffee only, no coffee maker, have to buy your own or call for more toilet paper! Overall, for the price, it’s just a little too basic and barebones.

Victor, the man who checked us in, was very friendly giving us great ideas for meals and local attractions. The apartments were near the shopping district, and very close to several means of transportation. There was a bakery across the street and a small grocery store for making food in the apartment. Complimentary cleaning supplies and toiletries were supplied on check in. When the city turned off the water due to a water main leak, the apartment manager called me back within 5 minutes, found out what was going on and let us know. The water was back on within the hour. The manager was very helpful with it all. All of Barcelona seemed to speak English, which was helpful for times like that. Overall, it was a pleasant, comfortable stay.

Good location and that is about it. Air conditioning was not working and wasn’t able to get it fixed. Elevator broke down the second day we moved and never went back up again during our 3 nights stay there. Carried all luggages from 3rd floor on a very very narrow and dark staircase.

2 things spoilt our stay:
1 the lift broke and we received no comms about what was happening. It was out for 3 days we had to walk our luggage down 4 flights of stairs.
2 I asked 3 times via phone to get washing powder and dishwashing tablets replaced as I had an extended stay and they were not replaced. On the last call I complained, I was firm but not rude. They hung up on me! If you work in hospitality that's completely unacceptable you need to learn to take complaints. I followed up with an email and they never responded. Terrible!!!

They also had the room ready for our very early check-in ... thank you... as we were able to drop off our luggage, freshen up, and get to sightseeing! Really close to shops and restaurants as well as the metro station. Victor was great when he met us at the building and was really kind and informative. He took the extra time to give us as much info as possible to make our stay worthwhile! Don't expect any cleaning services, but it has almost all the necessities you would find at home to get you by, including laundry facilities. Overall a pleasant experience, will choose this place again on my next visit!

check in was easy and the representative was super helpful and patient with answering any and all questions we had. prior to arrival, i received an email from the business to confirm my arrival time and provide check in details. nice and clean area to stay at. it is quite a distance (walking) from the tourist areas but it is close to the subways. take the subways! at first like anything it is confusing to use, but once you figured out where to stop and how to connect, it is easy to get around the city. the building itself is safe. key pad to let you in and lighting in the hallways and stairs. elevator is cramped, but fits 2 people and 4 suitcases. they have an area to lock up your suitcases in case you check out but your flight does not leave til later. that is an awesome idea.

Lovely little apartment with a nice roof terrace, great quieter location a little further away from touristy areas but within walking distance. There are supermarkets and very nice local restaurants, and just round the corner from a metro station. Helpful staff who showed us where everything was on a map when we arrived. Definitely recommend staying here. (Also a ten euro taxi from Shoko and Opium if you're into clubbing!)

We love Barcelona and enjoyed staying in an apartment rather than a hotel on this occasion. It is well positioned in Eixample about 5 mins walk from La Pedrera. The Bonavista rep. who met us was wonderful in sorting out our arrival problems (e.g. we were dropped off at the wrong place by our shared shuttle minibus).

We were very comfortable staying here; it was adequate for my husband, me and our two adult daughters. The location was convenient to the specific places we wanted to visit, but just enough on the perimeter of this bustling city to feel a sense of privacy and quiet. It's more like a vacation rental so there's no maid service. But I prefer having a fully stocked kitchenette for the option of eating in vs. eating out every day, which can be expensive. Barcelona is a wonderful city and this location is excellent.

Close to main walking street \"Ramblas\"

Since there's no reception at the hotel/apt, some coordination is necessary. A functional cellphone is a must. I had bought a SIM in France and the cell service did not work in Spain. I was lucky to have a companion with a working phone. So when you arrive at the apartment or shortly before, you have to call the agent to open the door and give you the keys. In the end, it worked out and we enjoyed our stay. Don't drive in Barcelona if at all possible! The public parking garage next to the hotel was E30 a day.

Simple and Basic

The check in process was a little difficult to understand as there is no reception area or front desk. The room was basic. The patio door of the apartment we stayed in didn't close so we had to push the coffee table against it to stop the creaking noises. The walls are very thin and the sound of the outside traffic caused problems sleeping as I am a light sleeper. If you are on a budget, don't agree to take the hotel shuttle from the airport as it is almost double the cost of a taxi. You will also be charged a cleaning fee of $45 Euros, whether you're staying one night or more. All in all, it was an 'alright' place to stay in Barcelona.

Overall, great place to come back after busy day - quiet as we had back yard apartment. Guys were really helpful with registration and taking care of our luggage as we were leaving late that day. We will definitely stay there next time and can recommend this place for your visit to Barcelona. There is a lift too! Coffee shop around the corner (first one) had the best coffee in Barcelona.

Me and my wife had a great stay at bonavista. The location was excellent and close to everything. The management was very polite and responsive. I was able to get quick responses via email if I needed anything.

The only downside we had was that the airconditioner gave up on the 2nd night and the heat was unbearable. The management did send somone,but he was not able to fix it. Thankfully it rained that night and the airconditioner was not needed.

After a long flight delay and changing arrival times we had a very warm welcome. The apartment matched the pictures which is always a bonus. Taxi from the airport was about €30 and it is very close to the metro as well. It was very quiet at night and there was plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. About 3 metro stops to the Sagrada. We had a great stay in this lovely and very clean apartment.

A very simple but very good appartment, Clean and well equipted. Very convenient to the centre of the city. Secure car park 10 metres away with 24 hour staffing. Metro station one block away. Any number of restaurants and bars all within a short walk offering everything from early breakfast to late evening meals and 'chill out' over a beer.

When in Barcelona....

This was our first trip to Barcelona and it was a highlight of our vacation (we also visited 2 other cities in 2 other countries).

One particular highlight was a nearby restaurant called Flauta. It was suggested in a little handbook provided with the suite and it was excellent (try the gazpacho).

We greatly appreciated being able to do laundry in the suite. How thoughtful that they provided a small supply of laundry detergent.

The beds were comfortable, the bedding was crisp and the water pressure in the shower was a delight.

The location was great with lots of dining and sight-seeing options nearby.

This was a family stay and it was great! The apartment had all the amenities we needed and Victor was incredibly welcoming and kind, providing all the information we needed. The bed was a bit too soft for me, but aside from that, no complaint whatsoever! The apartment is perfectly located, close to Passeig de Gracia, restaurants, a large supermarket and other stores. It has good transport connections to many places in Barcelona and the neighbourhood is very calm. Would definitely stay there again!

The apartment was fine apart from the noise from outside.
Shouting outside went on one night until 6 o'clock in the morning. Our bed might as well have been out in the pavement for all the soundproofing provided by the windows.
Bin lorries also made a real racket at 3am or 6am, so overall, sleeping was difficult.

Pleasant quite location but close enough to city

A pleasant stay in a well-ordered and clean hotel apartment. The staff (Victor and Petra) were both extremely helpful before and during our stay. The location of the apartment is in a quieter part of the city but still only 10-15 mins walk from Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas. All around are various bars and eating places of all types - Italian, Greek, Thai, Japanese - as well as the expected Spanish. There is a large supermarket 2 mins away if you prefer to eat in and a bakery/patisserie just 6/7 doors away.
It appears to be a safe area with good taxi services running from just across the road.
We would go back there without hesitation.

The day before our arrival, we received an email notifying us that our reserved apt. was having problems with the AC. They offered an alternative (upgraded) unit in their other building (Passeig de Gracia) for the same price. We had a little glitch with check-in - we had arranged for late check-in, but got in about 45 minutes earlier than expected. We arrived to a locked building and no way to inform them of our arrival (we didn't have a local cell phone). Luckily, a local shopkeeper kindly allowed us to call the Bonavista offices. Petra was very apologetic and came over straightaway. Once inside, we were thrilled to see that the flat was beautiful, clean, spacious and very well-appointed. Petra gave lots of helpful tips about sightseeing and marked up a map for us. It was by far the nicest place we stayed in while in Spain.

Exceeded our Expectations!!

Our flight arrived after 8pm (note this is not a hotel, so there is a small charge for someone to meet you if arriving late) and we were warmly welcomed by Victor. He gave us a map and his recommendations for places to eat and sights to see. It was like having our own personal tour guide! The apartment was clean, cool, and comfortable. The location was outstanding (the metro is just two blocks away) and there are plenty restaurants and cafes within walking distance. There is also grocery store across the street. This apartment is modern, nicely appointed, and has all the amenities needed for an extended vacation (cook ware, dishes, washer/dryer). The wi-fi was stable and strong. The building is very quiet (about 2 apartments per floor). Should we return, Bonavista Apartments Eixample will be our first choice!!

C’est la deuxième fois que je vais à cet appartement-hôtel. La communication est excellente avec le personnel du standard, l’équipement de l’appartement est super, le coin génial. Mais… il est vieillissant… il faut refaire la peinture, changer la vaisselle, la sécheuse, etc. Sinon, tout est bien.

Fantastic experience, impeccable location

The apartment is exactly as it was shown on the website. The location is absolutely impeccable. A tasteful neighbourhood with a lot of restaurants, shops and supermarkets to choose from. The owner is very friendly and responsive. I will recommend it to anyone!

A nossa estadia no Bonavista foi incrível. Apartamento muito bem localizado, supermercado na mesma quadra, próximo aos principais points da cidade. O apartamento é bem equipado e funcional.

Desde que nos recibieron en la misma puerta del apartamento todo fue maravilloso, Víctor fue amable y servicial en todo momento y le estamos muy agradecidas por toda la ayuda que nos dio. El apartamento era ideal y estaba todo limpio y preparado para su total disfrute. La ubicación perfecta para cualquier persona que quiera disfrutar de todo lo que la ciudad ofrece y bien comunicado con cualquier destino, el centro de Barcelona a tus pies. L’appartement est vraiement pas mal dans un quartier assez calme avec pas mal de choses à proximité.
L’appartement dispose de tout le nécessaire même plus que penser (sèche linge, table à repasser, faire à repasser, kit nettoyage, serviette ect)
L’appartement est très propre.
Mon seul point négatif étant la chambre des enfants sans fenêtre extérieur et avec une fenêtre donnant sur le hall d’entrée. De ce fait nous entendons tous les bruits d’arrivee Et de départ des gens. Heureusement que nous n’etions Pas là pour nous reposer du coup. En ce qui cOncerne la deuxième chambre elle est séparée du salon par une porte coulissante.
