The room was a good size and had a great view, it is very central which makes it perfect for touristing around the city.
Staff were lovely and very helpful, the room was cleaned every day, however, the bed could use some work.

Overall, the stay was pleasant with a great view and location.

I highly recommend this hotel! The room was extremely clean, with spotless floors, and the shared bathroom was spacious and very well-maintained. The room had a small fridge, and there was a microwave available in the hallway, which was very convenient. The ceiling in the room was beautiful, and my room even had a small balcony, making it a fantastic city stay experience.

The location of the hotel is excellent — just about a 10-minute walk to Casa Milà, right in the city center, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby. Additionally, there’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making transportation extremely easy.

The staff were incredibly friendly. I accidentally left my glasses at the hotel, and they kindly helped me have them shipped back — I’m truly grateful! I will definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Barcelona.

Beautiful room and great value

I have booked many one-night stays near the city center of Barcelona during the past few years, and this hotel was by far my favorite. My spacious room had a beautiful 'sunroom' with lots of windows, in addition to the sleeping area and bathroom.

This hotel offers many small comforts and conveniences: I really appreciated having a desk and a mini-fridge, and the bed was comfortable. Good shower with hot water. The hotel has a common area with an electric teakettle and microwave, which is also much appreciated and made for a more comfortable and convenient stay. It was very nice to have a self-service laundromat a half-block away so that I could do my laundry before packing my suitcase for my flight home to the United States.

The distance from Plaza Catalunya (and the airport bus) is a bit farther than other comparably priced hotels in the area, but I think the size and quality of the rooms more than makes up for the extra walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 6 nights and it was good! Really easy to get around a store at the bottoms that stays open 24 hours which was rly nice! The staff was nice and friendly. I felt safe and like nothing was going to go missing. Great place to stay at!

Las fotos que muestran no se parece en nada a la realidad, la habitacion muy vieja y con olor a humedad, el colchon muy basico. El baño muy limpuoby remidelado, tohallas limpias y hay una sala comun con mawuinas didpensadoras de agua, cafes. Nobvolvere a hospedarme en sa propiedad.

Great low-budget option for Barcelona!

This hotel is located right in Eixample, right in the center of the city. The room was very comfortable, clean spacious and had a balcony. Wifi worked great and it had an AC and small radiator. (I think the refrigerator holders could be cleaned though.) There was no bathroom in this room, but it was down the hall and I never needed to wait to use it because I was one of the few guests on my floor. Reception check-in was quick, friendly and hands-off. The entrance is a bit hard to enter for someone with mobility issues because you need to step through the small door and there are some small stairs to enter the building, but there is an elevator. I would definitely stay here again.

On the plus side, the room was clean with fresh linens every day, bathroom was spotless and cleaned daily, the staff were friendly and non-instrusive, and the place is centrally located so there are great things to see and do with easy access to all transportation. It had air conditioning as well. On the negative side, this tiny room was much more expensive for what you get, compared to anywhere in North America. My first thought was \"Geesh, do people in Spain really live like this?\" The room was very small, with two single beds squeezed side by side, no chairs, no dresser, just a single desk sitting on top of a mini-fridge. No stove or microwave in the room, you had to share appliances out in the \"lobby\" of the hotel. My son and I only planned to sleep there, so that was okay, but certainly you would not have a meal in the room or entertain any guests! Very little space in the tiny room. And Spanish people DO live better than this -- our next hotel in Grenada was much, much nicer, with a pool, and at half the price. Soooo... maybe look for a nicer place in Barcelona. Unless all you need is a clean bed and toilet. (But I will say, the staff were very friendly and did a great job keeping the place clean. So kudos to them!)

The room is basic but very functional. It would be nice if we were given a room with a view as ours has no window. Our room was tidied and cleaned everyday with fresh towels provided. A bit of a walk from the center.

It is a nice humble facility. We have a room with 5 beds to accommodate our 4 people family. The room was big , nice and clean, with private bathroom. The hostal (hotel) is well located in downtown at a walking distance from many city attractions. The staff was very friendly.

Clean place, good price, good location close to major transits. Only comment is the number of power plugs, i d have to unplug something (fridge or tv) to charge my phone. They also dont have cups or plates so u cant really drink or eat comfortably in the room.

Great value, clean and brilliant location

I stayed in a double bed room with private bathroom. Very very clean and had all amenities I needed in the room and a comfy bed.

Checked the shared bathrooms on my floor and also looked very clean and tidy.

Road was a little noisy throughout the night which was the only downside, however for the money I think it was great value.

The local area is brilliant for great tapas, including Ciutat Comtal and El Nacional. Gaudi’s Battlo House is also two minutes away on foot.

Great location

Budget friendly hotel in a great location. 14 mins walk to top of the rambla / placa de catalunya. 24 hour supermarkets on this road and bus turistic also stops here. Plenty of cafes etc close by.
The room was quite basic, comfy bed, may have been a bit cool in winter as only sheets on the bed. 1 wardrobe, small fridge, dressing table, air con. We had a private bathroom which was large, powerful hot shower and hairdryer. Shampoo, soap , towels provided. Room was cleaned once in 3 nights which is fine by us. Staff were friendly, check in was good and they even let us in a few hours early as the room was ready. Safe was free. We had no window in our room so was dark for sleeping but also dull lighting for getting ready etc. Quite noisy location / doors etc but everyone seemed to be coming / going at similar times so wasnt a problem.
If youre looking for a budget bed for the night in a good location i'd recommend.

Staff was very friendly. We were able to leave our luggages before check in and after check out.

The room was quite spacious. However, the floor was quite dusty. The air-con was a plus, especially during summer as it tends to get very humid. The shower is quite large, which is also convenient. Toiletries and hairdryer were also provided.

The hostal is about 10 mins walk to metro. There is a bus stop just outside the hostal. There are also few restaurants in the area, which was nice.

Overall it was good. Good location. However, fine print is important. We specifically booked this hostel because it's posting on Hotels.com said that it had a private bath. However, when we arrived, we were told we'd booked a shared bath and there was nothing they could do. It was definitely an inconvenience for our family.

It was a shame as everything else was great and it was a nice place to stay, it just needs a good clean.

My stay at this hostel was as good as it gets. It's very old fashioned and the rooms are roomy. We had a triple room with our own bathroom, which was good because I hate sharing bathrooms with strangers. Anyways, the beds could've been better and I just wish our fridge worked. Overall, great stay, and it's well secured. You have to leave the key to your room with the front desk if you decide to leave, for security purposes, which I found unnecessary, but it's the hostel's policy. The area is really nice, six blocks away from La Rambla and a few blocks away from the subway system. There's restaurants closeby and also a 24 hour grocery store across the street from the hostel's building. I enjoyed my stay here, and even though it may not have been perfect, you get a good deal for what you pay.

Basic but clean and adequate for a comfy bed to sleep in.
We spent most of our time exploring the city and what it has to offer and only came back to freshen up and go to bed.
A great improvement would be if there is a sign at the entrance saying \"Reception on 2nd floor\", and why not make coffee accessible 24 hours for late arrivals as its a coffee machine and only needs topping up.
I will stay there again when I next visit Barcelona.

It was perfectly fine.

It was a perfectly acceptable hotel. The room was clean, although our window looked into an alley so not a great view. The shared bathrooms were clean (two full bathrooms shared on our half of the floor). Plus the hotel was only a 7 minute walk from the metro station and the airport train made it super easy (and cheap) to reach the airport.

However, it was odd that the hotel requested we leave our keys at reception whenever we left the hotel. They said it was for cleaning purposes, but I just felt uncomfortable leaving it behind. Ultimately, though, the price and location of the hotel can't be beat.

We decided to not stay here. First of all this place is so incredibly dark (you don't see it in the pictures) its depressing..
The place looks nice on the pictures. They must be 10 years old...
I'd expect a place in Laos or Thailand to look like that and be ok with it, but expected a better standard in Barcelona.

Secondly, it was so noisy. You could hear through the walls and the above floor. My friend tried to take a nap on arrival (we're both light sleepers) and we checked out.
We even told the hotel to only refund us the second night IF they couldn't fill the room, but they said they couldn't free up the room after it had been booked already. Sounds like nonsense, but if hotels.com system is so inflexible

The room was extremely small; the bed took up most of the space and you couldn't really walk around the room (must climb over the bed to get to the bathroom). The air conditioning made up for the lack of space, during my stay it was hot and having the AC to look forward to in the room was a bonus. The bathroom was small, but adequate. Easy access to public transportation and many site-seeing places nearby.

My overnight experience

I have only stayed one night and I would definitely stay here again if i ever go back to Barcelona. Front desk was really friendly. Room was clean and spacious. even tho bathrooms were for share they were also clean. It is very close to happenings. You can also purchase tours there and it is actually couple of bucks cheaper than the rate they give you at the airport. The building is a little hard to find. A bigger sign definitely needed.

The location of the Hostal is great: it's close to city center, Casa Batllo, Casa Mila, Passeig de Gràcia metro and train station to airport. The building itself is old and beautiful outside, but interior requires renovation. Our room was rather small and dark, but the main disadvantage is that soundproofing there was really bad, so we could hear noisy neighbors or just everyone walking in the corridor. The room was cleaned every day and the staff was courteous and helpful. The kitchen is equipped with coffee machine and a kettle, but unfortunately it's open only from 7 AM till 4 PM.

Nice, basic hotel however one cleaner appeared VERY rude. One morning we were walking down the stairs and I slipped, after this I saw the stairs were wet and the cleaner was at the bottom with her mop and bucket. She saw me slip and raised her hands and spoke in Spanish as if she was saying it was my own fault. However, there was no wet floor sign on the stairs so how were we supposed to know? This could have been a very dangerous situation, if a child was walking and slipped. Either way someone could have been badly injured. The cleaner didn't even check if I was okay? If there had been a wet floor sign we would have used the lift. It's not acceptable really at 10am.

Central hotel, clue is in the name

First of all the location, we came to Barcelona to skateboard which this hostel was great for, its about a ten minute walk from MACBA and there are a few spots dotted about on the way. The bars are all within walking distance and the neighbourhood is quiet.
Next our rooms, we had a friend want to come along with us last minute, the hostel was fine with us adding an extra bed providing we paid for this on arrival 15 euro a night which was quiet reasonable. Our room was spacious with 1 double bed and three singles, a shared toilet just for our room which no strangers could use, there were extra toilets in the corridors just in case two people needed to go at the same time these were for everyone on the floor but I cannot complain on how tidy they were. Our room also had a small balcony which had a washing line, two wardrobes with ample room for four people and a writing desk. the room not only looked attractive but was kept that way thanks to the excellent room service our room was kept clean throughout the visit. there was a slight incident in which our room was slightly redecorated with bright pink bedside lights and the glass on our door was boarded up, this all happened the day before we left so we're not sure if they were preparing for the next guest or something, we were a bit creeped out when we realised this change half drunk on the night after coming back from the town but it didn't interfere with our stay it would of been nice to have been told but hey ho.

The sound from the club downstairs was terrible

Location was really convenient. There is a lift which is helpful and the hotel staff's service was great too.
But the noise from downstairs or a nearby club or bar was extremely horrible. It stopped at around 11pm ish but the woofer kinda loud and echoing noise, when we came back tired from an all day walking around, it was a nightmare. A bit worried about the security too as the main entrance was always open, the door to the rooms were always open, and it is only the room door that is securely locked (by us) which was a fogged glassed door. Shower was good but the shower curtain is too light or short that it floated and stuck to me while having a shower because of the steam. Really annoying.

Per essere un ostello devo dire che ci siamonreovati molto bene.
Abbiamo soggiornato per tre notti in un stanza dopoia con bagno in camera e terrazzo verandato. Le pulizie ed il cambio asciugamani sono è state fatti al terzo giorno.
Nella saletta comune macchietta del caffè, microonde e deposito bagagli in armadio con chiavetta.

Chambre et fenetre d'un autre age, avec matelas hs! murs en carton... Cohabitation avec les voisins obligatoire quand au bruit de la tv, de leur discussion et du bip du micro onde installé dans le couloir..... Jusqu'à 2 h du matin... Le prix a payer quand on a une chambre avec douche et toilettes... Mais que d'autres n'ont pas cette cjance et qu'ils font des allers-retours incessants dnas le couloir en claquant les portes!.... Bref 155€ la nuit... Tristesse....

For the price, I thought it was super good! All very close! Easy access! I'm going back, I've already made a new reservation for next month. The bathroom is a little small, for someone who is a little overweight it wouldn't be so interesting. But I liked it a lot, especially for the issue of extras such as the very clean towels freegobar air conditioning, the balcony itself is a love apart! Hotel vieillot mal isolé phoniquement, literie des années 80. Sinon pas trop cher et bien placé. Peut aller si vous êtes de passage et pas trop regardant sur votre confort.

L'hotel si trova in una posizione ottima, molto centrale e sicura. Metro e bus sono a 5 minuti di camminata.
L'edificio è datato ma la stanza era in buone condizioni. Pulizie quotidiane ma forse un po' approssimative. Essendo nel corridoio vicino alla reception, effettivamente risulta un po' rumoroso di notte.

Que fuera un edificio antiguo conservado. El silencio. Muchas opciones alrededor para comer y también supermercados. Que la habitación tuviera nevera y la galeria con més y sillas me pareció genial. Todo funcionaba perfectamente. Servicios de taquillas.

Hostal molt cèntric. Personal molt amable i habitació molt correcte.

Era dissabte, i a la nit sentíem la música del local de sota, però estàvem tant cansats que vam dormir igualment.

Muy buena ubicación, cerca de Paseo de Gracia. Con lugares para comer y cafeterías.
La habitación grande con un lindo balcón terraza.
Los colchones necesitan cambio. Mejorar el desagüe del baño.
Es un dos estrellas caro. Pré pandemia no pagaba más de 50 euros. Hoy $120‼️ sin desayuno.
