Mattress was super hard and pillows leave something to be desired. Location is excellent - one block or so to the walking strip La Ramba, subway station right there, gluten free bakery and coffee shops across street.

I am delighted with this hotel. The location is amazing. A short stroll to the main tourist and shopping areas like Ave de Gracie.
We walked from here to Rambla and all over.

This hotel had great service. The room was clean, comfy, and quiet. The only problem was that it was stinky do to dry drain pipe, not sure if they can fix that problem but the smell was very unpleasant. Otherwise the facilities were great, the terrace pool was nice for the location and the breakfast was really good with good selection. The location is great, there were many great restaurants and attractions in walking distance and metro was very close too.

This is a lovely hotel that is very well situated to the city centre. The rooms are clean and well equipped, and the breakfast that is included is very good. The pool is not a 'swimming' pool as it is a bit shallow, but the rooftop terrace and pool area is a nice place to hang out on a rest day or in the evenings.
The restaurant, Seventeen is very good but they were quite understaffed (or it was particularly busy the day we went) which slowed things down quite a lot. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay here again. The staff are all lovely and very helpful.

I booked a room for 2 adults and 1 child (1 queen bed and a double sofa bed). When checking in, I informed the receptionist that we had an additional 9-year-old child and was willing to pay any extra charge. However, the hotel refused to accommodate us and forced us to book an additional room, which was very frustrating and inconvenient.

The extra room they gave us was on the third floor next to the elevator, and the sound insulation was terrible. We could hear everything from the hallway, and it made it very difficult to rest.

Overall, the service was unhelpful, and the room quality was poor. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms, good beds, a nice view. The hotel pool had a nice view, was never busy, and had a nice bar. It took 10 minutes to walk to the nearest hop on hop off location and we were central to some of the main tourist attractions, taking 10 to 30 minutes to walk to each. The breakfast was really good and well worth the cost.

This hotel needs some remodeling. The set up in the rooms with the bathroom is horrible. Why would you have such a big high tub and not just a shower. Went to the pool a couple of time the lounge chairs for a hotel like that to have chairs that have holes in them and really worn out is crazy. Also they have a bar/lunch area up there that was suppose to be open but I had to call down to front desk to see if anyone was work just to get a towel.

This was a great hotel in Barcelona. The staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The hotel was clean and very nice in the lobby. The rooms were spacious for a Barcelona hotel. Great shower. Great mattress. The breakfast was outstanding and we enjoyed getting R&R on the rooftop by the pool. The only weird thing was coupons for towels at the pool that were 20E if we lost them. Seems like that is something they could figure out a little better.

The location was excellent. Metro station(s) were easy access. 10 minute walk to P de Gracia. 20-30 minutes to get to El Gotic which was a really nice walk.

Hamburger breakdown!

I had a terrible experience in the rooftop pool restaurant. First, there was no staff at that pool bar. I had to go down to the restaurant on the ground floor so they could send staff up. I ordered a hamburger. After a long wait with a luke warm beer, I got my hamburger and cut the first bite. It was raw and cold inside. The staff had disappeared. I had to take my plate and take the elevator down to the lower floor and the restaurant there. I spoke to the butler who apologized and promised to come up with a new one. Back to the roof. A new hamburger arrived after 20 min. Cut up a piece. Same thing again. Completely raw and cold inside. I manage to call the waiter before he had disappeared and announce that this was unbelievable. Same thing again. Raw hamburger. He apologizes and announces that he will immediately get a new one. I'm waiting.... The waiter now came back with? .... the same hamburger I just cut a piece off. Now reheated. And with the same fries that have been going up and down the hotel for about 1 hour.... Not crispy directly! I go straight down and complain and get apologies from the manager with a promise to get the money back for the burger (not the beer). And receive a gift in the form of the hotel's own Cava as a goodwill gift. Unfortunately, the ice bucket is not sealed, so the shelf where the bucket stood is soaked and has soaked everything that was on the shelf: books, clothes etc. It didn't really work as a goodwill gift!

We had a delightful 3-night stay at the Olivia Balmes Hotel with our 1.5-year-old, and it was perfect for us. The staff went above and beyond, setting up a comfortable crib for our daughter and gifting her a little stuffed bunny, which she absolutely loved. The hotel is very family-friendly, with high chairs readily available and plenty of kid-friendly amenities.

Our room was incredibly spacious—even with the crib in, we had tons of space for our luggage and stroller. The hotel and room design is modern with a touch of elegance, and everything felt thoughtfully arranged. The location is superb, in a safe and trendy neighborhood, with everything within walking distance and easy access to transportation.

The staff were consistently friendly and responsive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with lots of options for both kids and adults. We loved the rooftop pool with its beautiful view, and the pool bar served the most delicious sangrias and really great food.

Highly recommend the Olivia Balmes for small families—we’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Barcelona!

Don’t be fooled! Book the W hotel instead!

Too expensive for what it is! You could stay at the W with massive rooms and many amenities for less than here. The bar downstairs isn’t really open ever. The front desk staff was amazing. But beyond the front desk and bell hop they were not so friendly. In the gym we started to workout and the staff came to vacuum as we worked out, very odd. The rooms were not at all like pictured on the site. It’s a decent modern hotel but I’d say 7-7.5. Was very disappointed in the $1ks euros for two nights and the staff barely acknowledged us for drinks or food orders.

The staff were just wonderful, kind and helpful. They truly went the extra mile to make the stay memorable for my wife and I, and especially our 8 year old son. The hotel itself is very centrally located to shops, bakeries and the metro.

Rooms are modern and sufficiently spacious. We had 3 suitcases with carry on and did not have issues with the space. This could easily be a 4.5 star hotel.
