The staff was honestly so nice and friendly.
As a solo traveller, not once did u feel unsafe but I really loved my stay and would definitely use this same exact hotel when I come back to Barcelona.

Perfect location and great hotel

Friendly service and comfortable hotel. This hotel was in the perfect location. It was not a busy street but only 1-2 blocks from great restaurants. There was also a tapas bar across the street and a little supermarket where we bought necessities. Breakfast was also good. I have to mention the front desk employee, Francisco was the best! He was so attentive and friendly. We had an issue with the AC of the first room and he changed our room and made sure the issue was resolved and fixed. If I can give him 10 stars I would.

Nice Hotel very well located

I stayed 5 days on a business trip, the hotel was confortable the room looked maybe a bit smaller compared to the pictures. Overall everything fine, they should unclog all the pipings in the bathroom cos clearly there was a problem there a part from that it was ok, staff was friendly, breakfast was amazing.

This hotel was had everything that I needed for a short work stay. The room was small but comfortable, cleaned everyday, had courtesy toothbrush, tissues, shower cap which some hotels stopped providing.
I’ll definitely be back.

Ok experience, but nothing fantastic

The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood, not very central but well connected by bus with the touristic downtown area. The room I stayed in was quite small. I imagine there are bigger ones.
It was clean, but there were some details that could be improved. The towels were old (one had a hole in it). The soap dispenser needed to be refilled. I also do not like hotels that have a soap and shampoo dispenser in the shower. I prefer the ones that have little soaps and shampoo bottles. I paid for breakfast, and it was ok. I only had breakfast there one day, and I arrived after 10:00AM. There were several food items that were not available (or had not been replaced) in the buffet. With so many options nearby for late breakfast, I regretted paying for it.
Overall, it was not a bad stay. People in the reception were friendly and helpful, and I did not have any major problems. It was just not a great experience, and I will look for other places next time I am in Barcelona.

Excellent location, small room but comfortable and the bathroom big and with all toiletries, the service was very good, restaurant and bar available, we went to the restaurant twice but staff need customer service training, the front desk and housekeeper personal very very helpful and nice, we recommend this hotel, is a great option with a good price, specially for the location, 20 minutes walking to Catalunya parc... as a suggestion to the hotel, they need to invest in new towels!

Overall, a great hotel for the money. It was clean, the staff was helpful, and the water pressure was excellent (always a risk in Europe). The lack of a gym was a bit of a bummer, but gyms are rare in smaller hotels in Spain. The buffet was quite acceptable, and there's a coffee shop across the street that's open early. Central location that's walkable to anywhere, from Monjuic to Sagrada Familia to Barcelona Cathedral to Parc Guell, so that was a plus. We walked absolutely everywhere. Lots of great restaurants nearby in Eixample.

My biggest negative issue with the property was the piped-in fragrance in the lobby (constantly) and guest rooms (when the air conditioning is turned on).

It was an overpowering scent of perfume that assaulted us every time we walked in. We actually began sleeping with the window open at night, despite the noise, so we wouldn't have to smell the fragrance. I understand that some visitors see this as a pleasant feature, and it did smell marginally better than the outside on a hot and muggy Sunday, but I'm not particularly sensitive to smells, and this still pretty substantial.

Other than that, though, no complaints!

I enjoyed my stay. I arrived without my luggage and the staff kept an eye out for its delivery even leaving a note about it for the next employee on duty. The hotel itself is pretty quiet. I did use earplugs and an eye mask to sleep but that’s because I’m a light sleeper. The air in the room doesn’t get too cool, which was the only downside from my stay. The room wasn’t stuffy but I would’ve liked it to be a bit cooler. You have to request an iron as it isn’t typically in the room like in the US but not a problem. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are small. I stayed alone and it wouldn’t be ideal for more than two people. There was enough room for the bed and my luggage. I like that the toilet area is completely separate from the sleep area. Overall, I stayed 5 nights and enjoyed my staff. I would stay again and as mentioned the room temperature was the only downside. The location isn’t central but it’s a short 3-5 minute walk to the metro and you’ll be in Plaça Catalunya in 9 minutes. Plenty of restaurants, Mercados, and ATMs nearby.

Staff were very polite & helpful providing suggestions for meals and travel. Our room was clean and cleaned/towels changed daily, although it was a little tired looking in places. It was a great base for Camp Nou and general sight seeing, would go back if we visit Barcelona again.

We stayed for 6 nights and wasn't really expecting anything more than a Premier Inn type of hotel, however upon arrival we were so surprised and very impressed! A warm and friendly welcome from the staff (throughout the entire stay).
Our room was great! So much space, with a separate (private) 'hallway' that accomodated the wardrobe and room to store our suitcase and the en-suite was off the hall way. A biscuit was left on our pillow upon our arrival which was a nice touch, along with a stationery set. The bathroom was very spacious, all mod cons, powerful shower and very clean. The bed was comfy and the mini bar was a nice surprise to find too. Our room was cleaned daily and a new box of toilettries were left for us on a daily basis. The food was very nice with plenty of choice. We ate in the restuarant on the 1st night as we arrived late and it was lovely, as was breakfast every morning. The hotel was in a good location and only 25 minutes or so walk to Placa Da Catalunya. Barcelona is a beautiful city with so much to see, gorgeous beaches and we plan on coming back. Hotel Zennit Borrell is a good choice! No complaints from us! :-) Top Tip - remember the plug adaptor is a round 2 pin! We took the wrong one but luckily the hotel loaned us one for our entire stay (for free!).

Needs a refit with lazy unattentive staff.

The hotel is in need of a refit - it my have been a 4 star hotel once but I think it would now be closer to a three.

The rooms are also not particulalrly clean, upon arrival we had to change rooms due to lack of cleanliness (mould in bathroom & hairs).

The staff are also lazy, not asking how your visit went. They do not engage in pleasentries.

The breakfast was good, however the tables were never cleared - meaning you had to ask for one to be cleaned. The male attendent was lazy and work shy - doing the minimum required to keep the breakfast room running.

We have just stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The hotel is nice and in a good quiet location with a metro station just round the corner. It is about a 30 minute walk to La Rambla (about 8 euros in a taxi), but the metro is so easy to use and takes about 12 minutes. The staff on reception were always very pleasent and helped with all our needs. The room was very clean and nice and cool with the air con. The only downside I would say is that the walls are thin and people were sometimes loud when coming back in the early hours of the morning, but I guess that's just disrespectful people and wouldn't stop me staying here again. Thanks for a great week in beautiful Barcelona!!

Unfortunate room problem

Stayed three nights here and found hotel rooms comfortable and clean. However, we were unlucky to have a room with a loud banging noise every hour or so, including through the night. Informed hotel staff, who were sympathetic and very helpful, moving us to another room, which was better, but still had a similar but much quieter noise that could be heard (maybe next door). Seemed to be some mechanical issue. Our new room had very thin walls, as we could hear the people next door. Area also got a bit noisy in the night on the weekend, as we could hear some street noise. Additionally, shower head bracket was flimsy, and easily fell while taking a shower. Overall, nice hotel, with good rooms and excellent staff, with unfortunate noise issues. Would still recommend to stay here, but be aware of noise issue.

Regular visitors here and rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. Dinner at the hotel was good and reasonably priced. However, the menu doesn't change regularly so we wouldn't eat there every evening, preferring the 'menu del dia' in other restaurants or bars.

I arrived 2 hours after check-in time, but my room wasn't ready, I was told to wait a few minutes and that I'll get an upgraded room, which quiet frankly it was as I expected the one booked to be in the first place. Very clean and location is not bad... but I think overall the room is a little bit pricey.

We went to Barcelona to watch tennis tournament. It was a walking distance to the tennis club and also 15 to 20 minutes walk to the city centre, too. Great location. There are lots of bars, cafes and restraints nearby and they are inexpensive. The room was big enough and clean. We had a great trip.

Small room, but easy access to centre

The room was too small. Even in Paris the rooms are not so small. It was clean but it has a weird smell.
We didn't have space to put our luggage.
The man that was in reception at the night was rude, I asked him where can I get a spoon and he answered me go to the restaurant which it was closed.
The room has a small window and it was very dark, looking at another wall of the hotel.
Luckily Las Ramblas was a 20 min walk and also close to Urgell metro station.

Nice place, lovely city

Been back only 24 hours thinking of booking again. Hotel staff friendly greeting you with a smile and as much sweets your pockets can fill. Also not far from metro where you can go anywhere at a drop of a hat.
