Mercedes Heritage Apartments offers independent apartments distributed over 10 floors of a unique building of historical value that has a reception and night concierge. Located in the center of Barcelona in the Eixample quartier where you can find some of Barcelona's best-known streets and squares, such as Paseo de Gracia, Rambla de Catalunya, Plaza de Catalunya, Diagonal avenue and Plaza de la Sagrada Family.
The Hospital Clinic metro stop is a 2 minutes walk away and connect with the main metropolitan stations of the city. The apartments are spacious and modernly furnished.

Our room was surprisingly spacious, and everything we needed was provided. The property has one very small elevator. This created a backlog for guests trying to get to the Port of Barcelona at the same time. The hotel should seriously consider adding an elevator or expanding the existing one.

We heard so many complaints they only reimbursed a minimal amount for that day.
I'm still waiting for my full refund for that day we didn't have electricity in the sweltering heat....we paid for a service that wasn't provided.

We were four people in the two bedroom apartment. There was only one coach were two people could sit and the other chairs in the apartment we’re not comfortable. The living room needs another coach or at least two very comfortable chairs. There was also an odour sometimes smelled like sewer.

Our apartment for 8 adults was perfect for our group. The kitchen was small but functional for our time there. It was in a great location for exploring Barcelonas' sights but we do a lot of walking. The beds were comfortable and the 2 bathrooms completely remodeled with great water pressure and the water was hot. The one way street in front of building could be noisy during the day but at night quieted down. The electric blackout curtains were wonderful for sleeping in, too.

We stayed at the Mercedes Hartiage for 4 nights. The location is excellent with a short walk to the subway and to wonderful coffee shops/ restaurants. The staff was super nice and attentive and the apartment was clean. However… there was a constant smell of swage in the bathrooms ( one morning it was so bad that my daughter brushed her teeth using the kitchens sink). The staff tried to help by pouring bleach into the toilet/ shower, but that didn’t do much. Other than the situation with the smell, the apartment is very basic. We were on the first floor, so there was no balcony and nothing to explain the 4 starts rating.

We liked the size of the apartment and the layout. Also, convenient to have 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. However, the rest seems to be at a minimum. There were no drawers for clothing, so we had to just pile it up next to the bed. All of the furniture and plates are from Ikea, which is fine. But I think it’s really worth investing in some drawers for the bedrooms. You can’t possibly hang all your clothes in those 6 hangers.
The walls are very thin, and 4 out of 5 nights we had someone partying above us from 1 am to 5 am. We had to sleep with earplugs. Overall, I would recommend this with caution. If you are a sensitive sleeper, or if you like really clean places, probably not the best choice. I had to work during this trip, and this made it difficult. Wouldn’t come back.

We had a fantastic stay in our apartment in the weekend after Easter. The reception were brilliant and organised taxi transfers to and from the airport for us so it made everything feel very easy for our first city break away with children. The apartment was spacious, clean, well decorated and well equipped. We only ate breakfast in it as chose to eat out during our stay but we could have easily eaten in the apartment using the facilities provided. It was in very easy walking distance to the metro stop (Hospital Clinic) as well as only a 15 minute walk from the tour bus stops and La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. There were lots of restaurants nearby including a lovely Italian called Gusto which we were able to book via Google before arriving so it was a good choice for a first evening meal. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Barcelona as we’ve all had a fantastic time and hope to return one day. Thank you!

It is in the central location. There is no parking in the premises. So, pls do not drive. Even to alight your luggages, there is no parking space nearby. Had a bit of problem in moving in with 7 adults and lots of luggages. Finally settled in at around 10.30 pm after starting the checkin at around 8.45 pm. Everyone was very tired and next day early morning at 6 am we all had pick up arranged for Montserrat for the hot air balloon adventure. All of us thought of having shower in the night before going to bed. Unfortunately, the hot water was not working. Called the emergency help and the lady was kind enough to find the person to help online in checking the problem. Then, around mid night one lady walked in and helped in setting the pressure in the boiler for hot water to flow. By the time I slept it was 1am. Again got up early at 5.30 am and without having shower we all left. Rooms are just ok. It was very expensive apartment and hence we thought it is not value for money. We got extra towels and door mats. No house keeping in our 3 nights stay. It's a mistake I did to redeem a free night for this booking as I lost the credit to calculate the average for the night award which I regret now for redeeming as my average night award was a huge loss. Hotels.com terms and conditions are not guest friendly and request other guests to carefully calculate before redeeming their free nights.

Family of seven stayed in the penthouse apartment with roof terrace, only down side was one bathroom for so many and by time last couple got showered in morning water was cold. For us all minor details would happily return The only thing with regards to the booking was the taxi company who the hotel had arranged to pick us up at airport charged us 45euros for each taxi (we needed two) However on the return to airport we went to the taxi rank round the corner and the taxi was only 26 euros each taxi.

Also the windows had these very neat shades for keeping the unit dark and lessening the street noise. The only quirks were the hot water heater is a little bit small for four people in our apartment (#5). Out teens needed to keep the showers shorter than their usual eternity. Also, the stairway outside the door can get noisy. It's better to plan to have everyone sleep in bedrooms if there's room rather than use the sofa bed in the common area where the noise can be heard.
