Tiny room, no window, long check-in process even though I had checked in online beforehand… Shower didn’t work very well with taps leaking.

Excelente hotel. Gran espacio en la habitaciones, excelente desayuno y personal muy amable. Esta un tanto alejado de puntos turisticos pero la zona es muy segura y con gente local.
Estuvimos en agosto ( con 35° de calor) y la refrigeracion de todo el hotel era perfecta!

This hotel had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to ensure my comfort. The room was spotless, well-furnished. I especially appreciated the comfortable bed and high-quality linens, which made for a great night’s sleep.

The hotel’s amenities were top-notch – the fitness center was well-equipped, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The location was perfect, close to major attractions but still peaceful and quiet at night.

Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and exceptional service.

The hotel is in a great location, outside of the main tourist areas but still close enough to get everywhere quickly on the Metro. There are tons of cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. We enjoyed the hotel’s daily breakfast, and there’s a lovely bar in the lobby. Our room was spacious by European standards, with a comfortable king bed, a large closet area, a beautiful marble bathroom, and a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. If you have limited mobility, the shower could pose an issue—it’s in a tub that’s very slippery and has high sides (though there is a well-placed safety bar). The water pressure in the sink is low and it takes forever to get hot water. The pressure in the shower is better, and when the hot water gets there, it’s plenty hot. The rainfall shower is oddly positioned but works well. All of the staff members were courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay at U232 again and recommend it to friends.

Waited til 4:30 for room when check in was 3. Free drink coupon to compensate with wine as the only option because they said the draft beer machine was broke. Had booked 3 rooms and one couple had twin beds. Their room also had a flickering light they found disorienting. Positive, they booked our taxi for us as requested. Queen beds were comfortable

I don’t see how this is a 4-star property. To me it was just average/regular level good. Nothing about it blew me away. I really didn’t like the bathroom design - visually or structurally. The bathtub/shower is one of the worst I’ve ever been in.

Excrement coming out of bathroom tap

My son was washing his hands in the bathroom sink when the water began spurting and changed into a dark brown flow of excrement - not just discoloured water - faeces. It had the unmistakable smell of human waste. He ran out of the bathroom and almost vomited. We contacted the front desk, their initial response of \"what do you want me to do about it?\". Eventually they saw some action was required and sent up a handyman who ran the tap until the water looked clearer. At our insistence, they gave us another room.

In the new room, we flushed the toilet and the toilet water became brown and the tap water discoloured. So this was not an isolated incident in just one room. I contacted reception. The first person did not seem concerned and said to just let the water flow, astonishing given the dangers of contaminated water and risk of severe illness. I thought that she should try and isolate the issue, warn guests and contact a testing company to see how far the problem extended but this was all ignored. Eventually, she came to look at the room and contacted the handyman. She sent us to the bar, then returned to say that the problem had been fixed. Presumably, this meant that the water no longer looked discoured but could contain any number of harmful bacteria. We said we did not want not stay in a room where 30 mins earlier excrement was coming out of the tap. She said that we had no choice as there were no other rooms available.

The hotel refused any compensation.

Terrible stay
First of all,no one help you with your luggage you have to take the trolley by yourself,and it is not get in the room ,the room entrance tiny.
Secondly,when you turn the sink water you hear noise coming from drain and pumping.
Thirdly,there is insects in the bathtub.
Lastly,only one time complimentary water in your room.

This hotel was an excellent choice, the hotel is conveniently located by a nearby Blue line metro. There are lots of restaurants, cafes etc nearby. Room was spacious and bathrooms were also. Free wifi, reception staff very good. Highly recommended.

Normally I like to stay closer to a train station But this hotel looked too good to pass up.. We had a spacious room with a lovely balcony. Is front and staff were very helpful. There was a nice rooftop area to sit.And enjoy the sun. If we go to Is barcelona again We will definitely stay here again

I didn’t use any of the hotel facilities so I’m not in a position to comment. That said it has a large comfy ground floor reception area with a bar.

Staff polite & professional.

There are numerous eateries & supermarkets all within walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel was actually better than I expected and looked even better in person. The room was pretty big and had 2 separate bed which we weren’t expecting (1 single and 1 big/queen) and we welcomed the extra single bed.
The balcony was very spacious especially compared to other hotels I’ve stayed with 2 tables and 4 chairs.
Staff were polite and friendly and we did not feel out of place.

Location is decent and as two ladies we felt very safe and came back late and had no issues with transport. Public transport is excellent with metro and bus stops just steps away. Can get to La Rambla, the beach quickly and other tourist attractions.

Quite a bit of places to eat around the area that we found convenient. It isn’t a noisy area so we were able to sleep in peace.

Loved that we were able to leave our bags at the hotel after checkout and tour a bit more of Barcelona before our evening flight.

Only downside for us was the breakfast. It wasn’t that nice of a spread and could be better. Pretty basic for the price and we got it included. I stuck to fruits, yogurt and the cakes. The cakes were very nice though so that’s a win. My cousin only had breakfast for 1 of the 3 days.

Overall I’d stay again but omit breakfast.

The whole stay was great. The environment is cozy, the staff is pleasant, the breakfast is delicious, the room is tidy, warm, and comfortable size, with two bathrooms, which is very convenient.
Two minuses:
1. Breakfast time is inconvenient if you have morning flights (you can't take a breakfast and there are no options for takeaway);
2. A room with a window to the wall (we did not expect such an option without sunlight);

The environment is cozy, the staff is nice, the breakfast is delicious, the room is tidy, of a comfortable size, with two bathrooms, which is very convenient.

The hotel is at a good location: ready activity to public transport, good number of restaurants, quite a number of supermarkets around.
The facilities at the hotel were as mentioned in the hotel description. The hotel rooms are good and in well maintained condition.
Hotel provided unexpectedly more facilities in the room which was a nice surprise- there was a kettle to make hot water, there are coffee and tea bags to make some coffee tea in the room, shampoo is provided.
Breakfast is ok not delicious but not bad. Staff is friendly and always available. We were able to book a airport taxi from reception for an early flight.

Overall: good stay, would recommend

Lovely, quite room in Sants district of Barcelona

a wonderful, calm, respite from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. Immaculate room. Did face the street but, because of superb soundproofing, never heard any noise! Nice 'english country inn' type decor, could have used more space to put our things, was only a small niche for two suitcases and other items so we needed to move our things around, but overall, a great room, and a superb breakfast. Also liked the little 'library rooms' in the back where one could sit and relax if you didn't want to stay in your room. Overall, would recommend. Also, near one of the hop on hop off buses on Aveinguida Diagonal and a block from the Metro. Transpo very easy, lots of available cabs and several fine restaurants nearby

We just returned from our stay in Barcelona and highly recommend the U232.

Location: The hotel is perfectly located in an upscale area that is mostly residential, not filled with tourists and tourist junk-shops (unlike the waterfront). The subway is just 2 blocks away and can get you almost anywhere in the city. The area is walkable to MANY nice restaurants.

The Hotel: very clean. Nice staff. Nice bar/lounge area downstairs. Small gym. No restaurant, but as I said walkable to many. A few euros can get you coffees and pastries for breakfast within 50 feet of the front door. The room was large but no real dresser. Safe and coffee machine: yes. Balcony: yes. Comfy king bed: yes. The one bad thing was the shower. The shower head was so close to the wall that you practically had to stand and straddle to tub faucet. This is not an exaggeration.

Parking: Don't bother looking on the street. The hotel has a garage but it is pricey. We rented a car for some day trips but once those ended we ditched it.

The hotel is beautiful and pretty clean for the most part. But Our money was stolen from the room. Hotel staff (Jose and Adolfo were immediately defensive rather than trying to help us. We had to force them to plug the computer into the door to see at what times our door were opened. When we went downstairs to check the time logs on the computer he tried to say the time log wasn’t working which I saw it right there with my own eyes the Tim logs were right there. I can’t believe how unsafe someone can feel knowing there money can be stolen in the streets and from your own hotel room.. would not recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling with cash or valuable belongings. If you don’t have anything of value this hotel may be the one for you..

I liked this location because it wasn't in such a busy area - good location but not loud with lots of traffic noise. There didn't seem to be many \"nicer\" eating options for dinner but there were options for things like pizza or sandwiches (more lunch than dinner).

Overall the hotel is fine but the lock on the sliding door to the balcony was broken, hence the room never felt totally secure.
The staff assured us no one would enter the room and the lock would be fixed, however it remained broken for the duration of our 6 nights there. An adequate alternative room was not available.
There was a lot of roadwork happening around the hotel.
The hotel is convenient to metro and is about a 30 minute walk to La Rambla.
Breakfast was quite good.
