Pretty nice hotel, location was alright, there’s a bit of walk from metro to the hotel itself. The other thing is that they don’t have microwave at the kitchen even so if you have takeout food and want to heat it up it’s not possible. Hopefully they’ll have microwave fixed soon. Also we found there’s a stain on the sheets during our last night. But other than that the hotel was pretty good.

- The room was cleaned every day and the hotel was in good location
- The staff was very nice.

- We got refill of coffee and tea every two days, not every day. Plus, we only got only one coffee bag, and we were two people.
- The bed was old and made of springs, it was not comfortable, and it was making a lot of squaeking noise just by sitting on it.

- Overall, it is overpriced for what it offers.

No issues here. Hotel was clean, bed was extra comfy and had a nice deck to sit out on. Washroom was a nice size. Relatively close walk to the beach or Gothic Quarter (2-3 km). Also had a great grocery store across the street and several options to eat within a short walk as well, would definitely recommend.

stayed a week while visiting our kids, then after a trip to another country for a week, we came back and stayed a couple more nights here before we headed back to the USA. We were on 3rd floor first with a balcony overlooking the main street out front, 2nd time we were on the 7th floor with a beautiful private terrace. The employees are top notch.

Location good. Size of room was very small and that was after a supposed economy upgrade - only room to walk around bed. The safe was broken. There were no tea making facilities. We requested some and had to chase up. When it arrived, there was no milk and we were told it was not supplied and that we had to buy some.

Stayed at Hotel Zenit for 3 nights while we were on a short visit to Barcelona and it was great. We were on the 3rd floor and the rooms were nice and spacious. It was super clean and apart from the battery in the safe that needed replacing, was functional. We were glad the AC was pumping cool air which always seems to be a problem in similar hotels.
The gym was on the terrace and was too small for our liking but it was again functional. The terrace looks over a nice area and you can see the Tibidabo from there. We've not had any meals from the hotel so can't comment on that.
The location of the hotel wasn't bad either, it's a short walk from the main concourse and is close to the tube. It cost us approximately €30 to get there by taxi from the airport.
The only downsides we found was the noise and the showers. The rooms weren't soundproofed so we could hear all the noise from the roads. The showers didn't have much pressure and started pumping super hot water if any of the other taps were open in the bathroom. Apart from that, it's a very good hotel and was very comfy too.

Front desk was poor in giving even simple info. I asked for the biggest department store in city centre.
He gave me 4 names in Barcelona but none of it is El Corte Ingee's. I eventually found out about El Corte Ingee's and visited the store. Why the front desk would do this is beyond normal comprehension.

Location is good with lots of supermarkets,cafés and bars nearby. The metro is around 10 min walk away. The breakfast is good and the rooftop terrace is a great sun trap. My room had a balcony which was good to sit in the sun - the sun shines on the balcony from mid-day through to sunset. The only drawback was the air conditioning was weak and not effective. I did report this when I checked out.

Very pleasant staff. Hotel as described. Comfortable clean rooms. Lovely wee roof terrace. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Rooms cleaned daily. Did not eat in hotel so cannot comment on restaurant. Small bar not manned but reception or restaurant will get you drinks which you can have in the bar, restaurant , roof terrace or your room. Only downside is bar closes at 11 pm. Would have been nice if opened just a little later but would not stop me returning. Would definitely recommend.

Great Hotel with amazing breakfast and staff!!

First time in Barcelona and this hotel was a gem! Friendly staff, yummy morning breakfast, gym, and beautiful views from the rooftop.
Great location in a quieter part of town with restaurants and shopping with in walking distance.
The beds could be upgraded to something more comfortable, but was not that big of a deal. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was more than we expected, rooftop views and gym were nice additional extras. The location did warrant a lot of walking to get to the tourist spots however the exercise probably helped. One thing the hotel could improve on is ironing facilities in each room, first hotel I've encountered without this amenity.

Two of us booked a weekend (Friday to Monday) and got a twin room which we asked for. The hotel is down a quiet side street, just off of the busy Av Diagonal. Wet close to many metro stations and a few bus stops so good transport links. Hotel is small but rooms are comfy and clean. Roof top with sunbathing area and gym is a nice added bonus. Good hotel for a short stay!

Room was small for American standards BUT it's not a negative, it's an observation and to give an idea of real expectations to travelers from the USA. I think the hotel was excellent in terms of friendliness, cleanliness and location. I walked to main attractions and these were leisurely 30 min walks. I like to walk so I didn't find out much about public transportation but if I needed to get somewhere fast I took a taxi.

The hotel is located in a local neighbour, very safe and closed to nice restaurants and shopping district. The room and bathroom is very clean, although the pillows are bit basic and the interiors decor is dated in 90's and slightly on the edge of needing aesthetic upgrade for year 2017. Otherwise, the room is very clean. The front desk staffs are very kind and friendly. They have done a lot to make sure we are settling well. Thank you guys!

Really good hotel in an excellent location

We stayed for seven nights, good hotel, very friendly staff. Great little cafe across the street and a
really large supermarket just a five minute walk away. Some excellent restaurants close by. Just a
short walk to one of the main roads that runs diagonally from the west down to the east next to the
end of the beach areas. Would recommend the Turistic hop on hop off bus tours,lots of stops and
we never waited longer than five minutes for a bus. The commentary is also very informative.
Would also recommend the guided tour of Sagrada Familia as it alows you to go up one of the towers
and also the guide we had was very good. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Nice great away from the main hussle and bussle

we had a 2 night stay at the Zenit and to be honest it looked exactly like on the photos.
we arrived at 11pm and after a long the staff were really helpful on the front desk and even suggested that the basic room which i had booked was really basic and if i wanted to upgrade after seeing the room i could.
the basic room was small and cosy, however as we were only going to be in the room for a few hours it didn't matter to us.
it is about a 40 minute walk to La Rambler strip and beach but it was an easy route to follow. However it was situated half way between the 2 northest parts we wanted to visit (Camp Nou and Sagrada Família).
Plenty of bars and restaurants close to the hotel which were much cheaper than on the main tourist street.
We had breakfast in the restaurant which had a lot of variety especially the Apple Tart.
as we had a night flight, we were able to leave our bags at the hotel until departure and had somewhere to change once we collected the bags.
Would stay again for sure.

Worth every penny for a comfortable stay!

The moment I entered the hotel I felt welcome, the staff were friendly and helpful, they spoke English fluently. The room was clean and welcoming, amenities such as towels, toothbrush, Toothpaste, shower gel, soap, air-conditioning and heater in one, large LCD TV with plenty of TV channels, able to switch audio to English for American shows, mini fridge. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Room was spacious for one (single room). I wish I had stayed longer, the area is near L'Eixample which has higher end feel to it, the residents are middle class and above, the roads have less graffiti and streets are wider than as compared to Gothic Quarter which is a refreshing change and feels safer. To get here, take bus 32 from Barcelona sants.

Amazing experience

Though I was a solo traveler I was given a huge room spacious enough to house four people...the bathroom was one of the best from about 12 hotels I have stayed in Europe very spacious and complete with a bath tub... Early check in wasnt available as rooms weren't ready but they collected all the bags and kept them safely till I returned at night... The staff was extremely courteous and helpful... The breakfast is something I would heavily recommend you to take... For 10.5 euros you get everything possible... The warm items include bacon and sausages and scrambled eggs... Apart from chocolate pastries, apple pie, other assorted pastries, 3 juices, other delicacies, all types of bread and variety of croissants... It was just insanely amazing for that cost... Only thing I would caution the travelers is to plan their trip to the airport which is very far from all the hotels in the tourist areas... It was 43 euro for me at night to travel to the airport by taxi as no other local transport works at the time...

Hotel is in a very nice quiet area of Barcelona with easy walking access to restaurants, shopping and tour offices. The front desk has excellent staff that provided great service and assistance. Our room was comfortable and for a 4 Star hotel was much more than we expected. The daily breakfast has very little to be desired though with the same exact selection every single day. The cold eggs, quiche & under cooked bacon was okay the first day but for over a 2 weeks stay was pleasant.

Hotel is a bit out of the centre and buses are necessary to visit the main part of the city. This is not a problem as they are plentiful and cheap using the T10 ticket.
Hotel staff are very helpful and the breakfasts are excellent.
The standard rooms are very small and this might not suit everybody although the cleanlieness and standard of housekeeping was excellent.
There are plenty of restaurants in the area.

When I checked in again after away for two days they gave me a room with two double beds and one extra bed for one staying person. Three bed in a room means not enough extra space and uncomfortable. When I complained them the answer was \"The hotel prepared the room for the next guests arriving the following day.\" This is not right. They should prepare everything for the comfort of guests who check in on the day . After staying this hotel many times, I am not sure I still come back.

I wouldn't describe the Zenit as a 4 star hotel. The facilities were very basic and the room was only cleaned to a minimum every day. We were left without towels on one occasion. There was constant noise and disruption from outside the room.

My friend and I live in Spain in the Costa Blanca area and we flew to Barcelona for a few days sight seeing. The Hotel was excellent. Not too big and in a quiet location, but with several bars and small eating places near by.
The Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast choice was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly at all times.

Great Clean friendly hotel. I'd rate it a good three star in the UK. Only real issue is it is a long walk from any metro station. (Around 15 to 20 mins) crossing lots of busy roads. It's also notbeasy to get to from the airport. You need to take a bus or taxi to Placa de Catulunya or Espanol and then catch the aerobus from there. There are frequent busses but the problem for tourists catching busses is its harder to know where you are and when you need to get off.

Overall an excellent fairly small hotel. Breakfast wasn't bad. I think they could do with a rooftop pool and gym and extending the reception area.

We had a great stay at this hotel, our room has been upgraded at our arrival by a very friendly staff. The room was very nice and clean. Many restaurants around and some supermarkets and bakeries were open 24/7.
Bad point is that it is a bit far from any subway station, there is a bus station just in front though. There was also no kettle in the room.

Brilliant Barcelona

The Hotel is located just off Av Diagonal and is within walking distance of all the attractions which Barcelona has to offer. The Parks are all beautiful particularly with the leaves on the trees changing colour.The number of shops can be overwelming but for peace and quiet get out on the hills or walk the streets of the Gothic city.I have to say that it was very refreshing at the end of a warm days walking to enjoy a hot shower in the Hotel room.

Very Nice hotel

Little far from main city but but hotel is very good and clean.
and importatnt thing is there is bus stop in fron of hotel which directly drops you in La Rambla
Overall very good hotel
