The hotel is very conveniently located as it is very close to the Diagonal avenue. The entrance is pretty disappointing for a four star hotel but the room I stayed was very big, very clean, very comfortable and that was a four or five star room.

The hotel was situated in a quiet and not so touristy area-its near the fontana station-complimentary water on the guest lounge-overtime the area grew on us-it was such a lovely walk-more local vibe-on our first night the building had fire alarm go on early in the morning due to water leakage-it scared us a bit but overall the place was amazing and we had an amazing experience during our stay

Otherwise the area was nice and while there is nightlife we didn’t have trouble sleeping at night with the noise. During our road trip to the airport, I began feeling unwell. My illness presentation became severe while at the airport, and for that reason, I agreed to the advice to seek medical attention and not to travel.
A postponment request was placed with the accommodation to allow for rescheduling the date, but sadly, the request was denied.
Losing all our 3 nights' payment without a concession is rather dispiriting and cruel...

This is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in outside of North America. I'm very happy that I chose the HG City Suites for my stay in Barcelona.
After I decided not to stay in the City Center I looked for a place outside of that area and after a lot of searching on Google Earth, chose Gracia and the HG City Suites and I'm glad I did. The rooms are spacious (bigger than
many of the rooms in the City Center) and quiet and the kitchen area (with a microwave, fridge and range) was a real bonus! We were able to shop for food at an amazing market only a couple of blocks away and have a nice breakfast in the room every morning.
The hotel is in a very nice and safe neighborhood with several small restaurants and cafes close by.
And the hotel is only a couple of blocks from a subway line (L6 and L7) that can take you to
Plaza Catalunya (2 stops) and many other places.
The HG price was right, the location was very nice and the staff was great. I definitely recommend it.

Wonderful front desk employees who speak fluent English. We were visiting Spain for the first time. They answered many of our questions patiently! The little kitchenette was helpful. Grocery stores, restaurants and Metro (subway) station are in short walking distance. Safe and walkable neighborhood, not flooded with tourists but in convenient reach from attractions.

HG City Suites is really well located, receoption was very good and the room selected 30m2 was nice, clean and very well equipped. All started well.
We booked for two nights, Unfortunately starting on Saturday and perhaps the room was on the wrong side of the hotel albeit on 6th floor. Firstly There is a tapas bar, La Esquina Tapas Bar that has tables outside and the noise was considerable until quite late, perhaps midnight. That would have been almost ok had it not been for the Otto Zutz club disco just around the corner. We booked for two nights, Unfortunately starting on Saturday and perhaps the room was on the wrong side of the hotel albeit on 6th floor. Firstly There is a tapas bar, La Esquina Tapas Bar that has tables outside and the noise was considerable until quite late, perhaps midnight. That would have been almost ok had it not been for the Otto Zutz club disco just around the corner. Hotel is in a good locality on a busy street but we didn't hear much noise during night time. Room cleaning service is provided everyday. No need to ask. This is quite different experience from other hotels I stayed in the last few years.

Comfortable and convenient. The hotel is located next to the Gracia district and very convenient for ambling around this beautiful neighborhood. Just around the corner from the hotel is a nice casual little South East Asian hole in the wall called, I think, Yummy Yabby, and about a four minute walk away is Bar Bodega Quimet, a great place for tapas and vermouth.

HG City Suites is a convenient hotel a bit outside the city centre. It’s about a 5 min walk to a metro station so it was still convenient to get to places by metro or even walking.
The room was pretty spacious for European standards and very clean. It included a large comfortable bed, small kitchenette with dishes and cutlery, big bathroom with powerful rain shower, and other amenities like an iron, hairdryer and coffee machine.
There were a few things that made me give a lower rating:
1. While the shower had great water pressure and a big rainfall showerhead, water would splash everywhere onto the floor because there was no glass door or curtain. The bathroom floor was often soaking wet and we’d have to use a spare hand towel to mop it up.
2. The hairdryer was attached to the wall below the bathroom counter, making it too low to be usable (I had to crouch to use it). This might be because we were in a room with accessibility features but it seemed like only the bathroom had accessibility features and not the rest of the room.

Very quiet at nights!!! The staff is amazing, everyone is very friendly and professional, were always ready to help and answer any questions. The hotel is very clean, they have coffee and bottled water in the lounge, coffee is very delicious!!! Location is within a walking distance from the subway and other transportation. Right around the corner you can get a very delicious breakfast and some amazing gyros with drinks. Definitely highly recommend and will be coming back!

Parking is offsite but hotel can use parking garage behind hotel/stamps ticket so ok. It's no smoking, but guests were smoking pot&cigaretts in their room which the smells seeped into our room thru vents. Lights and AC are controlled with access cardkey. AC was motion controlled so it shuts off at night when sleeping even with card in control slot and room got too warm, big negative and very annoying. Overall good place for the price-very clean, modern, new firm beds, good water pressure in shower. heated towel bar. Quiet too

A terrific hotel, we were both really impressed with this place. Decent location about 5 min walk from Fontana metro (line 3 - green) and some bus stops. Plenty of supermarkets nearby.
The hotel seemed quiet and we were delighted to get a free upgrade to a room with a little kitchen. The facilities were great in the room with a fridge and a coffee machine. There was also a free hot drinks station on the first floor.
We had one minor issue whereby the bathroom sink wasn't draining well. We mentioned it in the morning and it was fixed by the time we came back after sightseeing - perfect service. The reception staff we encountered were all polite.

They do not have their own parking lot so keep in mind you need to pay at a nearby lot and sometimes that lot is full. The rooms are very small and the AC keeps it bearable at best but does not cool down to comfortable levels.

When walking into this hotel, I felt relieved immediately. The pics of this hotel were very accurate and our hotel was spacious! This was such an awesome room because we had enough space to lay our luggage out and walk around. Everything was up to date. There's a small kitchen with stove (didn't know how to use the stove), pots pans, and a microwave. The only thing I think maybe they can improve on is vacuuming the floors. There was a lot of dust on the floor. The hotel does not provide slippers so make sure you bring your own. Air conditioning worked like a beast :) Close to metro and this was out of the touristy parts of town so we enjoyed our stay here. There was a Filipino receptionist that was super kind to us! She spoke fluent English and was helpful all the time (made our stay even better!).

The place is very clean and Maribel did a great job in maintaining the cleanliness of our room for the duration of our stay there. The beds are very comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and attentive and immediately addressed a minor issue we had with the room temperature. Something I will recommend is to provide vital information to their guests like a list of phone numbers to the front desk etc. weighing scale for people who are traveling internationally as it helps with making sure their luggages are not overweight. The hotel is conveniently located and is a walking distance to the church, and train station and are surrounded by restaurants, clothing boutiques, grocery stores banks. Very pleased with my stay here!
