The room was amazing. It was very clean, spacious, modern, and close to a lot of great things. What made it 5 stars for me was the customer service. On our first night, there was a complication with our key - it was 10pm and we didn’t have a room. However, one of the employees went above and beyond to take care of us, driving to us late at night to make sure we had a place to stay. I commend Bonavistas exceptional customer service and will definitely be rebooking when we come back!

I usually don't write reviews but for this specific property I need to. The property was excellent, just as advertised. Check-in was seamless. For Barcelona standards, the apartment was BIG and very comfortable. The apartment was very quiet which was great when we wanted to rest. Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, shops and plaza's to wonder around. Fontana metro station was just very near. I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here.

Property is in a neighborhood with families which we really valued. There are several squares in the area that have restaurants around them. Metro is only about 3 blocks away and you can get anywhere in the city from there VERY easily. Beds were very comfortable.

1. The unit was spacious enough for a couple, and even three people could stay comfortably.

2. It came well-equipped with several appliances: an oven, a washer, a dryer, and a full-size refrigerator with a separate freezer, which was really handy. There were also two TVs, which was a nice bonus!

3. Check-in and check-out were both straightforward and hassle-free.

Negative:

1. The balcony door was partially broken and couldn’t be fully closed, which made it difficult to enjoy quiet time unless the street outside was calm.

Overall:
I highly recommend this place, but make sure the balcony door is fixed before your stay.

I think they could improve the cleaning . We start for a week, and ha only two cleanings. And not very through. Imran like all was done super fast, and set was still there when they finished. Javier was great,
it`s not that inexpensive. the location is kind of alit city, though it has a convenience store just in front of the apts.If you walk down the street, the street changes to cleaner places. There is bakery like 3 streets bellow, On the other hand, you can ge a taxi very easily . but if you wan o go o the airpower, definitively look for Javier, He is the best these apartments have.

We stayed there for 2 nights and we only got 1 roll of toilet paper. Appliances are also very hard to operate. The beds are uncomfortable, they should have put a King or Queen size bed instead of 2 single beds. The sofa bed is also uncomfortable because the mattress is so so thin. Not enough beddings and blankets. The pillows are so smelly.

The property needs a remodeling/ updates. Walls are in stain. Some cabinet doors and Furniture are damaged.

It would also be great to have extra pillows for the bedroom and replace two twin beds with a king/queen one.

We spent 4 nights at the apartment, it was centerally located and close to the fontana metro. The apartment met most of our needs except the bed was a double bed made up of two single beds which moved through the night from tossing and turning. The water pressure was low and not enough toilet rolls were provided for 4 nights. However, checkin and check out was straight forward and apartment was tidy and clean.

Excellent property. Their system is an example of automation and self-service: after payment is made, you get a code to enter the building and another code to open an electronic lockbox and get your two sets of keys. They have cameras everywhere (including common inside living areas such as the living room). I felt safe. My not liking the area is just a personal perception because locals deem it to be charming (in a small town sense): many cafes and pastry shops as well as small business such as seamstresses, mercerías, vintage shops, grocery stores, etc- I find the area to be on the poverty side but I might be wrong: we all know that in the real estate business everything is about perception. The property itself and its management, though, are top-notch: impeccable service, flexibility and responsiveness. I highly recommend this company.

Street Noise, lack of sleep

I whole heartedly agree with Hsu Cheng’s and others Street noise concerns. As I had exactly the same issue of banging noises and drunken people outside at 01-05am. This went on throughout the whole night and kept myself and my family awake which impacted our holiday in Barcelona.

Based on the negative comments ie Noise.
I specifically checked the location of our room before I went and I was told “ facing the interior patio” so we went ahead. Unfortunately, this was not the case and we was given the “street view” . If you don’t mind noise and lack of sleep, then you will be ok. I wouldn’t recommend it.
The owner states they will try and accommodate facing the interior but did not on this occasion. Surely the fact I am asking about this before the visit indicates this was important for me, but they are saying there systems didn’t allow. I am not convinced with this statement.

However, on the positive the apartment was clean, but definitely not worth the overprice we paid.
It’s close to the metro and attractions, restaurants, supermarkets and shops. Check in / leaving luggage is easy.

Thank you Bonavista Apartments.. I traveled with family. Everything you need in the apartment.. just like being at home.. Lots of restaurants, bars, tapas cafes all around us. great location. Super markets across the street and and down the block for your essentials you may need. Apartment was very modern and clean. Easy communication with the person in reservations Victor. The apartment is in a great area of Barcelona, only a few stations by Metro from the centre. There are a large number of dining options close by and the area is characterful and lively.

It is in almost-new condition, with just about everything required for an extended stay - including a washing machine.

The contactless check in procedure worked flawlessly.

Location is perfect although it might be too noisy for some travellers, especially overnight. It did not bother us.

The apartment is cute, cozy.

It needs a bit more accessories and it wouldn't hurt to have some welcome gifts like coffee pods/tea/sugar, maybe some water bottles.

The property was not clean. Hair on the beds. Holes in the bed linen. The dryer had an appalling smell. There were also potentially bedbugs at the property as we suffered numerous suspicious bites (in neat rows). What was most disappointing is that the cleaning standards at this Bonavista Apartments location (Virreina) simply do not measure up to those at the “sister” location in Gracia on Carrer de Bonavista where everything is in tip top shape (as demonstrated in an earlier visit). This is really unacceptable. While one might pay more for a luxury suite at, for example, the Hilton, the cleaning standards in an economy suite at the same hotel are the same. This is not the case at Bonavista. I do not recommend this property.

However, one complaint I have is the WIFI really wasn't working very well, I had to use my phone's data most of the time. Hope the owner can improve it in the future.

Absolutely amazing place! Sparcling clean and provides a great hospitality. I felt like at home. The manager Victor and his colleague Pablo are gorgeous humans - always helping, caring and will guide you throughout your stay.
The rooftop of the building is such an amazing bonus. Overall experience was awesome. I'll recommend Bonavista Apartments to every human being who is in Barcelona - couple, families, solo, business, everything!

This apartment was amazing! It was modern, updated and had everything we needed for our week long vacation
- stove, microwave and washer/dryer. it was a 5 minute walk to the Fontana metro station and across the street was a small grocery store. The neighborhood was really cute with several restaurants, bakeries and shops within walking distance. The staff, Liliana and Victor, were very gracious and accommodating. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Barcelona.

An amazing place to live at! it has it all... mini grocery store right across the street. 2 blocks away from the metro stop. its just Perfect!!!! Ohhhh the nights on their roof top, nothing fancy! but super relaxing....

just a little suggestion to property Management is that they need to coordinate better with their checking process. I arrived and had no information on how to access the building, no code/Pin or anything was giving to me even after I called and had Orbitz called 1 day prior to arrival. But after waiting for almost 30 mins, they got us everything that was missing and moving forward everything else was exceptional.

There were hairs all over the floor. Sofa bed had crumbs we had to push off. Also one night we lost electricity but that was resolved in the morning.

It is a clean, comfortable one -bedroom apartment with kitchen and flatware. Be aware that there is an additional 50 euro cleaning fee (done after you leave; there is no maid service) plus city tax of about 3 euros a day, which you pay on arrival. The bedroom has two twins, the main room has a fold-out double couch. There is a convenience store just across the street, and the Fontana metro stop is a five minute walk away. The neighborhood is a little shabby but not problematic by any means; plenty of affordable restaurants and bars nearby. I would say it is a good value, fine for a small family.

Very nice apt on 3 rd floor.Victor the Apt manager came next morning to see how everything and to address our need.speaks excellent English as well as other languages. Only downfall is no front desk. You are given pass code to enter complex and set of keys to your apt.
There are many places up and down the street for eating and shopping that you can walk to and very safe.
We will definitely come back again

It’s close to metro station. Has everything around like grocerie store, cafes, restaurants, pharmacy!
But, the bathroom floor was dirty and we found several hair in the shower. The shower door was liking! They don’t provide pillows for 3 people. When you open the sofa bed block people from the bedroom to go to bathroom and kitchen. The mattresses are extra firm (my body can’t find a good position to rest).

Everything about this apartment hotel and my interactions with the staff were exceptional! Lily the agent was lovely and calm in explaining everything and giving me tips. She even helped me extend my stay an extra 3 nights at the original rate I paid for my first 2 nights.
Location is easy to find and convenient, Gracia neighborhood is perfect with hip shops and lots of restaurants and close to Metro Fontana. I will recommend to my travel agent friends and anyone else I know who is coming to Barcelona.

What a Find!

What a great place to stay! The neighborhood reminded me of Greenwich Village in NY, artsy, fun and full of wonderful people. The apartment has everything you could need including a full kitchen, washer and dryer and pull out sofa. The management was super helpful. The only drawback if you want to call it that is that there isn't a true front desk. But I loved it and quite a deal compared to pricier hotels. Close to all of the major sites and on the Metro line. Would definitely recommend this place!

You need to call the property manager before you arrive at the apartment because there is no front desk. The apartment is near the subway and restaurants. Great washer and dryer in the spacious apartment. Be aware you will have to pay a one time cleaning fee so this property is best value for those staying more than three nights. Available taxis past by the front door both day and night.

Stayed in this property only a couple nights in October. The location was fantastic. Walking distance to plenty restaurants, bars and shops in the Garcia. The Metro only a short walk and connecting into all important downtown sights. Also a big plus for us was the underground parking with entrance to the elevator and the suite. Will stay here again with our family of 5 next time we will visit Barcelona. Price was fair considering the age of the building and suite. The city is busy year round and finding suitable accommodations can be a challenge.

Great for the value. Close to bus and metro stations. Close to restaurants and local shops. Very very clean and well maintained apartment. Just be aware that there is no reception you must call ahead for someone to let you in. You will also need to pay a cleaning fee and tax in additional to monies already paid to Hotel.com. Also they will hold a $150 deposit up to 7 days after you leave.

Do not stay at this property. My garden view room had views of my neighbors back yards. The only garden i saw was my neighbors potted plants. The rooms themselves were much smaller than the pictures. Their supposed emergency 24 hour number is not 24 hour emergency number. I had to call for 20 minutes before someone answered. I also e mailed them and their response was that they have to ride their bikes and use the tiolets. Whoever answered my e mail was very rude and unprofessional. The door of the kitchen cabinet was broken. We were given two small rolls of toilet paper for four days and four adults. I will never stay there again and would not recommend it if you want to enjoy your stay in Barcelona.

We are not comfortable with the check in, my flight is delayed for 40mins so I have to pay 50 euro more to the apartment staff for\"Late check in fee\" as mid night, and there is automatic e-box for keys just downstairs beside the lift. I was wondered why do not use that. And when we question this charge, the staff replyed \"you can pay this charge and have this apartment, OR, you can cancel it, we will be ok (don't care) for that\". This is not comfortable feeling for all of us as foreign customers, this was the first time and first night to Spain and to Barcelona and it was midnight, we can not easily cancle this booking and walk back on streets with luggages..... The late check-in fee is wired and please, please improve your rules, we paied thos fee because we have to and we pay for late working of the staff, she os not easy. but we still believe it could be better way.

Comfortable room. Good location.

Room was comfortable and clean. Close to grocery store and restaurants. Pull out couch wasn't the greatest. Kitchen was a bonus. Disappointed to learn about a late charge for arriving after 7p.m. , after booking the room. Kim was very helpful.

First, arriving very early morning, having the lockers available in the apartment building to store luggage was perfect! We were able to explore the area without carrying baggage. Check in was so simple and Lilianna was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was excellent. It was very clean, well maintained. It is in the perfect location: VERY safe neighborhood, several small supermarkets nearby (one directly across the street), restaurants/small shops all around, and the metro is a short walking distance from the apartment. The apartment is furnished with all the amenities you will need. The washer and dryer was extremely helpful especially traveling with two young children. The beds were good. One bed seemed a bit worn. Whenever we needed help with arranging tours or transportation, the staff at Bonavista were extremely helpful and courteous. Overall, everything was excellent!! Highly recommend staying here. We will definitely return!!!

The apartment was very clean and modern. The staff was very responsive to questions via email or phone. We were able to use a code to get into the building so we could store luggage. The only thing that would have made it better would be a code to get into the apartment itself.

10 great nights

We spent 10 great nights here. Family of 4. Modern clean apartment. We loved the neighborhood. Just outside center city but close by metro. Jusf a couple stops. As family of 4 we enjoyed the space. Washer dryer. Kitchenette. Victor and his crew are very nicd and responsive. Thank you for a great stay.

A couple of tourists just wanting a homey environment. We were very comfortable in the apartment, and the service was great. Except for the fact that the internet cut out on the first evening and wasn't restored (we were granted permission to use the neighbor's network).

Wonderful apartment. Very clean, excellent manager that was most helpful and informative. Location is very accessible to the entire city via Metro stop a couple blocks away. Locally lots of great walkable resources, shopping, restaurants, etc.,. Stayed here with our family of 5 and it worked out great.

Great location, great apartment

This is a little quaint apartment located in a not so touristy area. Victor is a the person who greeted us. He’s a wonderful host and explained in detail how to get around the city either by bus or metro. Bus and metro stations are very close. There are many restaurants within walking distance (all kind of cuisines). There’s a mini market right across the street in which we would buy water and other essentials. The apartment fits 4 people comfortably. I would recommend this apartment if you are going to visit amazing Barcelona.
