Great great staff Roberto on the front desk made our stay an absolute pleasure. Great English helpful and a delightful character. Everyone we interacted with on the front desk were amazing . The rooms are spotless and great house keeping. Recommend the breakfast and it’s affordable compared with trying to find the right meal in the morning in an unfamiliar neighbourhood. .

When the taxi dropped us off on the narrow street we were surprised when we walked into a beautiful lobby and with very helpful and gracious staff. We were sorry we didn’t have enough time to use the pool. The hotel has it all snd the price was right.

Overall, the hotel was nice but we had significant isolated incidents. Our shower did not drain and flooded the bathroom and a bit into the room itself. With 2 women at this time of month, wholly unsanitary.

The deluxe triple’s third bed does not really fit and one of the guests in the party hit their shin so hard that it not only broke the skin but also caused a blood blister the length of the shin. Pretty sure there is a bone bruise.

Excellent! Very clean, modern, renovated with a rooftop pool. Our room was on top floor with a balcony overlooking Barcelona, including the two most famous landmarks and a view of the sea in the distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful giving us proper directions to metro stations, city center, beach and attractions! Recommend!

Serene oasis from the busy city

Our stay at Catalonia Park Putxet was lovely. The rooftop area is a serene oasis from the busy city. We chose this hotel for it's proximity to our friends who live in the area, and it did not disappoint. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with crisp linens, and simply but well appointed.

Hotel was clean and staff are friendly. The rooms and washroom are on the smaller side and the walls were the thinnest I’ve ever experienced. You can hear people from the rooms all around you and the doors are loud when you close them. We had a room by the street and every night there were loud truck noises outside and one night we could even smell the garbage that was being emptied at 12am despite our window being closed. Being a light sleeper, I woke up a lot every night. I found Barcelona to be a little smelly in general but it’s quite bad around the hotel.

Initial impression was the room was quite small and dingy. Hotel a bit out of the way. However, we soon got to appreciate the friendly service. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
Evening bar snacks not so great. Food seemed to be preprepared and warmed up by waiters. Not always adequately. Tried to get a glass of wine one evening but was told they’d run out!

Nicely laid out room, comfortable and airconditioned. the bathroom had a Shower and bath which is nice. Roof-top pool is a nice touch and was much needed after a hot day exploring. Our room was cleaned everyday. We didn't really have a view from our window, but this didn't bother us as we didn't plan on spending much time in the room. Walk to Metro takes about 8 minutes if your fast-paced and the Metro to the centre was 3 stops. If I find myself visiting again I would definitely stay here again.

Unfriendly staff shower leaked was locked out of our room due to door card not working staff kept providing new key at least 4 separate times having us run up and down steps until finally I said I am not doing this again. Maintenance finally came up and replaced the lock we had to wait an additional hour before we could get in the room

When booked, i requested air conditioning in all three rooms. They were programmed for heating. The only fan available in the hotel was given to one of the rooms. The rooms were warm, not cold for heating. Temperature in Barcelona was slightly cold, not warranting heating. Al three rooms agree, we would never recommend. We were sweating.

The hot water in the shower is not working properly. It starts out with normal temperature and gets scalding hot without any reason. Sometimes I noted when someone is using sink water in the shower get hot. There is also water dripping from the valve flooding the bathroom floor. A/c not working properly either

My friend and I both felt that the hotel did not deserve four stars and felt that it only got them because of the (very tiny) pool on the roof. We didn't go into the pool - not worth it - but the view from it was fantastic. The breakfast room felt more like a student canteen than a 4* restaurant, although the choice of food was excellent and the staff also were excellent - throughout the hotel. And they were very helpful re arranging for us to leave our luggage at another Catalonia hotel just off Placa de Catalunya, where the staff were also lovely.
Sorry, but three stars were what it was worth.
A transfer bus to the town centre, and to other venues (for a small fee) would be appreciated. That area of Barcelona is very hilly - have you ever walked from the hotel to Park Guell main entrance? It nearly killed me, and we missed our tour as it took much longer than the advised time - through GetYourGuide/Tours for Today, so not the fault of your company.

Not good, not bad just OK. Room was spacey but old. Walls are thin, we could hear strong waterflow when someone in another room was taking a shower or kids cheerfully ran the sairs. The neighborhood is not very appealing, far from the center. The staff was nice and friendly.

Amazing hotel, extremely clean so i applaud that, unfortunately no coffee facilities in the room (i like to wake up and have a coffee).

Each room as wood floors therefore the room above sounded like a pin ball machine for about 2 hours wheb i assume a lady in heels was having a little boogie.

Also chose a room at the back of the hotel if your there on a saturday night, bin run starts at about 3am and rhere are couple, sounded like i was in the middle of a runway for 30 mins, not great when you have had a few to many sangrias the night before.

This is the worst hotel and I don't recommend it. The front desk is rude, the housekeeping is awful.

When housekeeping cleans your room, they don't refill the toilet paper. When you ask for more from front desk , they can't give you any as they don't have access the housekeeping items.

Housekeeping is extremely loud and starts bang and sliding furniture around at 8am.

My husband was sitting on the patio and meet to guys from paris that were stay on the floor above us. They asked him to come up to their room to have a few drinks as I was sleeping.

When I woke up, they came down to our room and the one guy , asked if he could kiss me , I told him no. A few minutes later he asked where our bathroom was, so I showed him. He then asked me inside if he could kiss me again, I told him no. Then after he was done in the bathroom, he kept translating from French to English he could give me multiple organs, etc. I told him that I'm happily married and that this kind of talk was unacceptable.

My husband asked him to leave, and the guy refused to leave and tried to hit my husband. We continued to ask him to leave and finally he left after me getting in the middle of this guy and my husband.

Hotel security didn't believe us and called the police.

Police showed up , asked me if my husband was abuse of and told us we needed to pack up our things and leave, as the hotel didn't want us there. This was at 11pm. We lost our money for this room and had to pay 600 to another hotel.

Nice place with great rooftop pool area.

The bed was very comfy. The room was spacious enough and the staff were great. The pool area is amazing with great views. The pool itself is small and 1m deep like most rooftop pools in Barcelona. The only issue is that there are too many people visiting the pool just to take pictures so it looks like a constant photoshoot.

The hotel looks average nice. To get to anything you will need a taxi or walk an extremely steep hill when coming back.

The Wi-Fi does not work in room! They are aware and even have a link to try to get it to work. Just don’t advertise as having Wi-Fi if it is not fully accessible and functional.

The door key kept malfunctioning so it was reset no less than 4 times with new keys. Staff was annoyed by resetting keys and my frustration with Wi-Fi.

I would not recommend this hotel.

This was my and my fiancés first time in Barcelona and this hotel was perfect. In a more residential area, there are great dining options around and the hotel is a short walk from the metro.

The food at the snack bar is great, and Diego was a great server for dinner. We will definitely be back.

Hi, overall the hotel is correct for the price. However the service is terrible, when calling room service to ask for a bottle of water, I was asked to come pick it up myself from the reception...also I asked for a late check-out after staying 4 days and hotel almost empty, I was told it was fine and when I called the day of the check out, they told me they would charge me if I didn't leave at 12...then I had to complain and said someone already agreed for a late check out, they didn't want to hear anything..when doing the check out, they told me they found the note and it was a mistake from the hotel..
Overall the room are fine, clean , nice gym, very small pool ( but better than nothing) but service is very poor and not to a standard of a 4 * hotel ( I would say , I had better service sometimes from a hostel)

Nice hotel but I would be slow to return

The hotel has a nice reception area & rooftop view. However the standard of the food was poor (3/10) & overpriced! Bar & restaurant staff clearly being underpaid or simply did not want to be there (woman between breakfast service & the bar in particular)
Rooftop severely short of sun beds (about 6 up there) although view was lovely & pool was nice for cooling down in. (Don’t expect to be going for a swim in there)
My room was a single room, which was very much that. A box. Had a nice bathroom, decent size bed but not the comfiest. No view and poor lighting. Fan wasn’t much use.
House keeping were banging door and dropping things at such a rate I began to question if it was being done intentionally for people to get up and out of there rooms. The gym was ok as far as hotel gyms go, tredmill, cross trainer, bike & multi use machine.
On two occasions reception staff were unaware of things going on in the hotel.
All in all staff were a poor reflection on the potential of a nice hotel.

When I was on the taxi on my way to the hotel they called me to inform me that I was being moved to another hotel in Barcelona. This is quite irritating as I booked more than a month ago this hotel due to its location and the new hotel despite being central was in an area less convinient for my meetings. Not impressed

The room was pretty decent. Biggest drawback is that the AC doesn’t run while you’re gone because you have to put your hotel key into a slot that turns on anything powered by electricity in the room. We tried to fool the system and leave one of our keycards in while we left - housekeeping confiscated it.

Can you PLSASE tell your cleaners to be abit more considerate and not SLAM doors so early in the morning. Also the noise that comes from the bathroom all day is terrifying and you should do something about that. Also tell your receptionist it won’t kill them to smile once in a while :)

Check in was nice and fast. Hotel has a 4 stars plaque but it is only a 3 star at most. Location is not the best as it is at least a 15 min walk to the closest metro station, and not many taxi drive by since it is located in a small alley. Not close restaurants. No mini bar nor water in the room. Maid did not sweep the room for 4 out of 7 days we stayed, and did not re-supply shampoo and body gel (we had to go down to the front desk to ask for them a few times). Room is not spaces. Wall is thin as we could hear the neighbors noise. I would not stay again for $200+/night.

Fantastic hotel at a great price

This hotel was phenomenal. The staff were exceptionally helpful and easy to communicate with. Room was very comfortable and clean. The pool deck is super fun and they deliver food and drinks up to the pool. There were always quite a few people up on the pool deck enjoying the beautiful view of Barcelona. Would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and if I make it back to Barcelona I hope to stay here again!

It’s a great spot with: wonderful staff, excellent buffet breakfast with lots of variety (very fair price if it’s not in your package - 10 euros) and I quite liked the location. It is a 10 minute stroll down to the metro, which connects you to anywhere in Barcelona. I will be returning back to this hotel if I travel in Barcelona again. Having the rooftop deck and pool was great; I even used the gym!

Bathroom had excessive mold in the grout in shower and sink area which also caused it to smell. Room was decent, quite small but good for 2 people. Pool area was nice but pool is much smaller than it looks. But the root top terrace is nice. Hotel is up a huge hill so taxis are almost essential. nothing close to the hotel (restaurants, shops, etc.) and hotel food way over priced.

Hotel in general not bad, but Expedia hotel description said in city centre it's in residential area and in hill 10 to 15 mins to train then 5 stops to catalonia centre of Barcelona, first and last time in this hotel. You can get 3 star hotel right in heart of catalonia for same price just book flight and shop around and definitely you find alot better than this hotel if you looking to be busy area were all restaurants bars and clubbing.

Nice staff, had everything you need. The only problem was I was kept awake the first night by a group of school children. The staff did speak to the teacher but didn't actually stop the behaviour. They moved me for the second night to another floor. It seemed a strange situation for a 4 star hotel and I had the inconvenience of moving.

First of all this hotel is in a reasonable location near to the L3 metro line. I was extremely disappointed by what I find to be extremely aggressive up-selling on reception (I've paid in advance through hotels.com for a reason) but it became obvious why they would try to force this as the room assigned to me as a \"Solo Traveller\" was extremely small. In fact I would go as far to say it was unacceptable, due to the sloping roof on floor 6 it was impossible to shave or shower! My perfect stay was then interrupted at 6am as the staff brought the breakfast to the top floor, as there is refurbishment work taking place on the ground floor. Again I know hotels make improvements, normally guests are told in advance. I've stayed in 10 hotels in Barcelona in 14 days and this experience was the worst. Having looked around the hotel, a sneaky look when rooms were being cleaned showed me there are some fantastic rooms, which weren't even being used? Why place a \"Solo Traveller\" in a cupboard between the swimming pool and the ladies bathroom, when its clear that a review like this will follow? How this hotel is classed as 4 star I will never understand, there are many better 3 star hotels in the same area. Surprised not to be refunded for such a terrible experience.
