Room was very clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. We did have a weird incident where the light cover in the bathroom popped as I was exiting the shower. I called reception and they came up to clean itbright away and even offeredbus another room. We declined as we were alreadybsettled and all the glass had been pucked up. Definitely recommend this place.

I really enjoyed my stay as I wanted a hotel that was quiet, clean and comfortable for a rest after long flight - this was the perfect place for that. I found the front desk staff friendly and helpful - the onsite restaurant was convenient - many options for eating other than hotel. The area felt very safe. The only negative would be that the area was very residential so it probably won't be a place I stay next visit to Barcelona.

Staff was nice and provided us with information about city. Felt like they were family. There is a restaurant next to hotel that can be noisy at night so I would consider that if you choose to book here. But ear plugs can help with noise. Rooms are spacious and have mini fridge.

Alex at the front desk was amazing, if it wasn't for him our trip would not have been as we expected, he went above and beyond for us to ensure our time was enjoyable.

I have only put 4/5 stars for 'Staff' as upon checkout we were questioned about an outstanding amount for breakfast, which Alex had originally advised would be complimentary at time of check in as a gesture of goodwill, the staff member upon checking out was not aware of this which delayed us exiting the hotel enroute to the airport, this particular staff member did not come across as professional at all making quite unusual faces without talking, there was no language barrier either, it made my wife uncomfortable, my advice would be to ensure notes are made against clients profiles to ensure a streamline process, please note Alex was again wonderful with everything else.

The staff were absolutely incredible. Extremely helpful and flexible. Room is nothing extraordinary but I can’t complain about anything at all. The area is great for first time travel to Barcelona because it was quiet and felt very safe. The metro station almost next door makes it incredibly easy to get around the city. There is a ton dining options in walking distance as well as a market next door to grab anything else you need. There was also two large parks within walking distance that were beautiful. For the price I don’t think I could have found a better hotel.

Good Location with a L7 train a couple minutes walk getting you all around the city fast cheap and easily
The neighbourhood feels safe even as women walking around in evening. Quiet in morning managing to have nice sleep in after long days exploring in the heat!
Hotel really helpful with ordering taxi and providing information when needed
McDonald’s on corner if you need a late night burger! Lots of lovely little coffee shops and places to eat with local prices
Directly opposite a nice coffee shop plus a little mini market for water and snacks
Google is great for finding little local gems for food and drinks also directly next door a place for drinks in evening

The hotel is very clean and is in a nice neighborhood. The room is spacious for 2 people. I was not used to the shower not having any curtains and a movable shower door. The toilet broke during our trip so we had to use the lobby bathroom which was a hassle, but they did offer complimentary breakfast. The staffs are very welcoming and used English for non Spanish speakers.

Amazing for the price

I booked this hotel for a few days in Barcelona and was very pleasantly surprised for the price. The entire hotel and room was very clean and tidy with very helpful and friendly staff. With a modern looking and air conditioned room for such a cheap price this hotel was simply amazing, very handy being a 2 minute walk away from a metro station too.

Excellent hotel away from the hustle of downtown but still close enough to walk if you are in fairly good shape. I walked to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia and back. I probably slept better here then any of the hotels I have stayed in the past month during my trip. Tips - there's an espresso place with great pastries open at 7 am around the corner from the hotel if you are an early riser (the hotel can tell you where), a Trader Joe's style market up the road with food and water, and an excellent Thai place called Boku on the corner before the hotel.

Ideal location, just a very short train ride out of city (trains every 15mins), quiet area with a few cafes and a supermarket very close by. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable with great air conditioning. A few things were broken in our room, the safe, the television and a table light, all of which we were fine without, particularly as the staff kept our valuables in their safe. Also, your door pass was supposed to open the main door into the hotel, which it didn’t, I saw a lot of people struggling with this. All in, seemed a very reasonable price compared to many others in Barcelona.

The property is well-maintained, rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Location is on a fairly quiet side street that is steps from the El Putxet Metro (FGC) line and from the V15 bus (and not far from the V13 and H4 bus lines), near the public market and public library, and close by several schools and parks - a safe, family-friendly neighborhood with easy access to the downtown area. The hotel staff was unfailingly friendly and helpful. We had a very pleasant stay there.

Generally clean, spacious room. However, that old sunk spring mattresses gotta go. I don't have any shoulder and back pain, but from the first night I slept on the mattress the pain started and got worse each night I slept on it. By the third night, my back pain was so horrible. On the fourth night which was my last, I slept on the edge of the mattress, which slightly helped with the pain. The worst mattress I ever slept on since a Motel 6 bed about 15 years ago.
Also, one morning I woke up with the horrifying, deafening sound of either emergency or fire alarm. I had to make the international call to the reception desk using my cell (because there was no instruction of what number to use for reception), and asked what is going on. All I heard from a staff is \"i don't know\" and I asked when is it going to be turned off, and came back with \"i don't know\". The alarm went on for more than an hour. It was early in the morning... I wasn't ready to go out, couldn't even use the bathroom because the sound was even louder in the bathroom... It was one of the most memorable time in Barcelona, for sure... not in a good way.

Already informed the reception that our nationality on the check-in sheet is incorrect when we checked in. We are from Taiwan but she put as China. After I corrected her, she didn't apologize nor correct the mistake. I noticed the nationality is still wrong when I checked out. I am very upset about the unprofessional and ignorant of the staff. Also found a used toothpick on the floor of our hotel room, and none of us ever used a toothpick while staying there. The cleanness of the room needs to be improved. Very unpleasant stay and won't recommend it to anyone.

Very nice looking hotel exterior, very nice looking hotel rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Over all very nice looking hotel. The only complain was how thin the room walls are. We had trouble with our neighbours because of noise. On one side our neighbours played loud music until the early morning hours. On the other side, the neighbours would go to sleep early and found our normal conversation to be too noisy.

The hotel is well located in a suburb with easy access to transportation. Many conveniences near by like market, supermarket, bank machines, souvenir shopping and restaurants. Taking the bus and metro was affordable, safe and convenient. Downloaded the Moovit App and another I can't recall. The hotel staff was pleasant and accommodating when we had issues in our bathroom. There is an On and Off Bus stop up the hill at Plaza Kennedy where you can access transit to Mount Tibidabo sites. The room and hotel were comfortable and safe.

Great hotel, close to the metro and easy to get to. Arrived at the hotel early and were allowed to check in when we arrived. Front desk gave us a Barcelona map and showed us all the best routes to the top attractions. Room was nice and clean and each day we had clean linens and towels. Good, free WIFI service that was dependable. Really close to several grocery stores, so were able to get bottles of water, soda and snacks for the room. The only downside is that the mattress is not super comfortable, but was definitely adequate. Would recommend this to place to anyone traveling to Barcelona.

The room standard was below a three stars standard as the room amenities was below the basic three stars standard in other areas. The room felt dusty resulting to me having an allergy reaction. The room was hot and stuffy, air conditioning system should be looked into. The photo shown on the website did not represent the actual image of the room. I will be looking at other options around the area next time I visit as I was disappointed at the room amenities. The staffs were however lovely and courteous. The area was generally quiet with lots of local shops restaurants and bars.

First room not good, second room great!

When I first checked in they assigned me room #102 which did not match the pictures in Hotels.com. It was basically a large storage closet that they managed to barely squeeze a bed into (with a think mattress and hard frame, like a collapsible bed), no bathtub, only 1 single outlet to share for the refrigerator or my laptop computer... I checked fire escape map and realized this was the only room on the floor that was tiny and didn't have a bathtub. I realize the hotel wants to maximize space and earn as much profit as possible, but this was not a good impression to a first time visitor of both the hotel and Barcelona. Fortunately, staff member Meriem offered to move me into one of the other available rooms, which had a more comfortable bed, a bathtub, multiple electrical outlets, and was roomier. I really appreciate her doing that. If the hotel wants to rent out room #102 I recommend they list it separately, with a lower price, and clear pictures and description. I'm sure there are many people would be happy to save money by renting a smaller room, but people don't want to be surprised and find the room they rented doesn't match the pictures on the website.

The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful. The restaurant keeps strange hours, so I never ate there, but I found this was common in the parts of Europe I've visited so far. Everyone seems to be on the same eating schedule except for tourists. Fortunately, the hotel is an excellent location.

A very comfortable stay, will book again!

I stayed in Barcelona for one night in Silken Sant Gervasi. My room was upgraded to a suite and it was quite spacious and well maintained. I loved how clean and comfy everything was. The front desk manager was very polite and even asked me if he should call a cab for me while checking out. The bathroom was very clean, with a bidet, separate shower and bathtub.

I commend the management for their maintenance of the environment and will definitely stay here again! A+++++

I would say my overall experience was okay. In this trip I stayed in Paris and that experience was much better.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful with any/all questions that we had. We enjoyed how close it was to the metro as well which was very convenient (able to transfer almost all lines). The neighborhood is cute and charming- as well as very quiet! There were a few great restaurants and cafes we stumbled upon when we ended back there at night. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there and would gladly go back to this hotel again.

Our first room was on the ground floor. It was spacious with a large private terrace . The room was clean however the Air conditioner did not work. There were a dozen ants all over the bathroom. After the young lady at the front desk could not get the AC to work and seeing a repair person would take 6+ hours, they assigned us another room on the top floor. The AC worked but never cooled the room sufficiently. we kept the AC on all the time at the lowest temp on the thermostat but the room remained above 26 Celsius all the time a (end of May 2016).
The hotel provided complimentary apples in the lobby and croissants on our floor which were very good.

Loved our stay at the Silken Sant Gervasi. The room was very comfortable and the staff pleasant. Great breakfast option available for a reasonable fee. Well located near the train station made access to tourist attractions very easy via public transportation. Neighborhood around the hotel felt very safe and we enjoyed bars and restaurants close by. After a busy day of sightseeing in Barcelona it was nice to return to this quiet more residential neighborhood.

Had a great stay only bad thing is I wasn't aware you had to leave the rooms at a certain time so the could do house cleaning.

Nice hotel, not great location

For the money, I would find a hotel closer to the center.
