It was just what we were looking for . A short walk to local transport. The nearest Metro 10 mins away, passes by a really handy mini supermarket. There is also a very nice reasonably priced cafe called Pannia just beyond the Metro. ( The walk is not as bad as people say, depending on your mobility ) Our room was always spotlessly cleaned, and the staff were so helpful. To be honest, we were quite disappointed with the hotel food, for the price, so we ate out.

Stayed in a quadruple room with my family. The pictures online looked a lot nicer than in real life. There were two bathrooms inside (one with a toilet and shower and one with a toilet shower/tub and sink). The door to the first bathroom would not even close completely because the frame was warped at the bottom. The tile floors were leaking with water underneath them. We would also get a sewer smell every night. Walls are thin in room so you can hear a lot from everyone else. Lobby and restaurant were nice and updated. Our room was not. Heard the breakfast is great here but we did not try it. We ordered pizza and it tasted like cardboard. If using local transportation, you have to walk half a hilly mile to metro. Was fine for us but could be a challenge for some. Staff were polite but would not stay here again.

The hotel is located in an extremely hilly part of Barcelona. As a physically challenged traveler, it was necessary to always use taxi service.
The hotel is clean and the room cleaning staff is efficient, as is the front desk staff.
The breakfast offered is outstanding, the omelets are great and the chef is friendly and gracious. There is an extraordinary variety of meats, cheeses, breads, desserts, coffees and fruits/juices. The support staff were very helpful, too.

We booked our stay as a family of four (two adults, a 10-year-old, and a 14-year-old), accurately entering our children’s ages when making the reservation. On arrival, we were informed that the bunk beds in our room were only suitable for children under 12, and we were advised to place our younger child on the top bunk.

This was not acceptable to us from a safety perspective, as our booking clearly indicated the presence of a 14-year-old who would be unable to use the bunk bed safely. We requested an alternative room but were told the hotel was fully booked. Shortly afterward, another family with two younger children checked in and were provided with a room featuring four single beds, which would have been a safer and more appropriate option for our family.

We believe this reflects a failure in the booking system and the hotel’s duty of care, as our children were placed in an unsafe situation due to inaccurate room allocation.

The room is very small but the lovely terrace made up for that. Bathroom door is extremely weird. I thought I was opening the shower door when I opened it but it was a glass door for the whole bathroom. It was NOT a \"wet\" room. No privacy for toilet at all.
Stephanie was a delight when she helped us check in! She is very friendly and also pointed us in the direction of a neighborhood market.
It is a 25 minute,very hilly and stairs walk to Gaudi's Parc Guell. I was hoping it would be closer. Very few dining options in the neighborhood.
Difficult to get a taxi in the area. I had asked the front desk to reserve a taxi for the next day at 2 PM. My tickets to Sagrada Familia were at 3 so it should have been plenty of time. At 2:20 I was informed that he hadn't been able to get a taxi, then we tried UBER, no luck. Then he suggested I walk about 10 minutes to an area with more hotels. I was able to hail a taxi and made it it in time!

I had a lot of issues during my one night stay here. During check in, their system was down so I was unable to get a room key. So every time I needed to go to my room, I had to wait along with others to get our rooms unlocked which I found unsafe because anybody can say they are staying in a certain room and there was no type of verification or security. There is also no deadbolt on the door that, which most hotels I've been at in Barcelona have. As soon as I walked in my room, I noticed the toilet had not been cleaned and still had a previous persons waste in it. Then there was no WiFi the entire stay. No air conditioning in my room. My shower only had freezing cold water, no hot water. There is no sound proofing at all, you can hear someone sneeze from the next room down. The rooms are connected through a vent in the bathroom that allows you to hear, when, and what the person is doing in the bathroom. Then, the icing on the cake is that numerous guests were smoking in the non-smoking rooms and made my entire room smell like cigarettes with no AC or even window to air out. All my clothes smell like cigarettes now. When I let staff know, he was very kind but my compensation was a free hard cider for my troubles. I stayed at four different hotels during my lengthy Barcelona trip and this stay has been the worst. I will not be staying here again and I am going to let my friends, family, and social media following know to not stay here if they value comfort or safety.

Safe and quiet neighborhood but still close to the bus and metro. Staff and service were fantastic. There was always someone to answer any questions we had. Our room had quite small windows so we could never really tell what time of day it was. Wish the bedding and linens were a little more comfortable, particularly the pillows. It was very clean and the cleaning services were very thorough which was very appreciated. The neighborhood was cute and had great views of the surrounding hills. Walkable to Park Guell, too!

Looking at Google maps I thought it was a lot closer to downtown than it was and after a long flight, it was a treacherous walk up a very high hill with my suitcase. That part was not fun and for the price I would’ve thought it would’ve been a lot closer to downtown, but thankfully there was a little bit of a stretch to get to the metro. I wish there was more dining options that were walkable from the hotel but there was at least a convenience store too bad it wasn’t warm enough to check out the roof rooftop pool.

Clean and comfortable hotel, but with shortcomings

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and well located in the north of the city only three metro stops from the centre. It is close to Park Guell as the name suggests, but be warned you need to have booked tickets online for the park or you can't get in, and they sell out very quickly.

The biggest negative issue with the hotel was the lack of any soundproofing, you could hear the neighbouring rooms far too easily, and that's before I talk about the bathroom.

The bathroom was clean and everything worked, but the door was glass, which gave no privacy in terms of sound which really is not pleasant.

There was also not tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is highly unusual in my experience.

The swimming pool on the roof gives great views, but is extremely small.

Staff was great - very helpful. The room was a small for the price and the walls were thin so when a large group of teenage boys arrived bedlam ensued until 11 pm. The bus to Park Guell was readily accessible and the metro was a 10 minute walk downhill but longer uphill! The pool was small but there were 3 lounge areas that were very nice.

The roof top was the nicest thing about the hotel it’s not a modern hotel but I knew that when I booked I can’t say anything negative the staff in the dining area I encounter the most and were extremely pleasant specially the older man in during the breakfast area and the lounge lady as well. I will say one thing there was a weird odor mildew kind of odor in my room but nothing Vicks couldn’t help with I put some under my nose and I was fine, and the walls are very thin you could hear everything.

Thos is my second time in Barcelona ,20 years ago it was as beautiful as today's but lots of people, between them pick pockets! They stole my thick wallet from my bag with everything on it.
If you come leave most of your $$ and c.cards at hotel. One card and 50 or 60 euros.

When I arrived, I was told my reservation had been cancelled at midnight, prior to arrival time, due to my card being “declined.” I had not received any notifications from Orbitz or the hotel to notify me of this change. If you are considering booking this property book it with breakfast included. They have a great breakfast with an omelet station, meats, cheeses, breads/pastries, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice. It is not right downtown but has buses and a subway close by that will get you there in 20 minutes, sometimes less. The pool is small but ideal for the view it provides and there is an extra seating area just below it. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room we were in was small but worked for what we needed. We werent huge fans of the restaurant food at the hotel off the lobby. Ben tips and Chico close by are great food options.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights and were very disappointed. The pictures do not look anything like the hotel. The pictures showed big beds with an open space and big windows letting in lots of light however, when we arrived we realised this wasn’t the case. Our room had a small double bed even though on the invoice I received it said a queen bed. There was absolutely no space to walk around and you could just about get out of the bed either side. The window was so small with dark black curtains that it just about opened and made you feel trapped. The pictures of the pool were obviously taken to make it look bigger when in actual fact it was tiny. We did not have a sun bed the whole time we were there which meant you couldn’t go to the pool as there was no where else to sit, not to mention it was freezing and our visit was in August. We did not have a fridge or a kettle in our room it was literally just a bed, a tv and a bathroom. The location of the hotel was also not great as there is no where to eat or drink around apart from in the hotel which is very overpriced. I am disappointed that pictures have been taken to entice people to stay at this hotel to then be disappointed when they get there. Would not stay again.

We were given access to the Room at check-in 😀 which was early. Nice room on main Street but so quiet and blockout curtains that really work. Pool was cold but refreshing,could have been open longer hours though. Or close pool and leave deck open. Lounge area downstairs great to relax,cool water to drink in reception area. Breakfast super and cheaper if you do more than 3 nights. Restaurant/bar on sight so no need to leave hotel. Location a little way out but not everyone wants the hussle and bussle of Ramblas.

Hotel was easy to find, only a short walk from the metro. After checking in we went to our room to find 2 single beds despite booking a double room. When we went down to reception to change to a double we were greeted with a rude member of staff saying we only requested one and there isn’t any available and to leave all our luggage packed and that they will move into a double when one becomes available in the morning. Bathroom was clean. No tea or coffee facilities was odd but upon research you have to pay extra. Maids were very noisy in the morning disputes having our do not disturb sign our. We didn’t spend much time in the room as we were out all day. If you are looking for a cheap room that you won’t spend much time in then this may be ideal for you.

The hotel overall is fine. The bed and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. Faux leather pillow case and the bed is a rock. The rooms are small and the walls are paper thin, I could literally hear people breathing. Nothing exceptional with service. The rooftop terrace was also under construction which was not communicated at booking or upon arrival. It was a good price for a quick two night stay but I wouldn't go back.

Very basic but reasonable

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was always excellent. The room and bathroom were small and perhaps past their best. However I found the bed very comfortable. The restaurant food was not so good and it's ambiance non-existent. To be fair it is only a 3 star hotel and the price for accommodation in Barcelona was very reasonable and bearing this in mind I would say it was a worthwhile stay.

The hotel was good and in a good location but very noisy because of the traffic. As it's on a steep hill that means that cars and motorbikes accelerating make a lot of noise all night. I found it very difficult to sleep. I thought I'd left a window open but as it's not double glazed that was just the level of noise to expect.

The hotel was far from advertised, No view unless paid extra €40 for a room facing to the mountain side. It baffled me when I couldn’t find a Fridge, kettle or iron on the room I have asked why there is non of this items and I was told if I need fridge I had to pay extra €25 per night on top of the €96/nite I was paying. It could have been helpful to advise this in advance. Disappointed!

This hotel need some upgrades especially in the lobby. The cleaning lady is a little bit too involved with the customers. She didn't realize that we spoke Spanish and was saying rude things, and told the maintenance guy to kick us out of the pool. Unsatisfactory. The shower leaks all over the floor I took them a half hour to get us towels to mop it up.

The check in was long and upon arriving learned there was no parking available. This was the MAIN reason we chose this hotel. After arguing a little with the clerk, he found us the \"last spot\" and we were charged $18 a night extra. So beware of this.
The room was ok with a beautiful terrace which was the best part of our stay except the lounge chair was weathered and torn so you could not at on it. The housekeeping staff had their supply room right outside our door apparently so sleeping was impossible. The pool closed and locked at 8pm I believe. All front desk staff seemed arrogant and not helpful at all. They could only be found sitting around the office inside the front desk talking. I rarely leave a bad review so sorry to say this hotel was not welcoming at all !!!

Hotel was nicer than we thought it would be and the staff were all friendly and helpful (English speaking). Not to mention the aircon was clean and didn't give me a horrible throat disease like some other hotels have in the past... Also it's close to the metro so it's easy to get into the city.

Close to Metro stop

Nearest metro stop is Vallcarca, leave via \"Argentina\" exit and cross bridge, you can see hotel from the roundabout at the other side.

hotel staff was very accommodating and ordered taxis that were ready. Restaurant food was fine but service a little slow. Pool is very small but clean.

Too strict. Not a lot of good amenities and hotel was far from attractions and the city!
