This family-run 2-star hotel is located in the Gracia neighbourhood, just a few metres' walk from Park Güell and with excellent connections to the city centre. The underground is only 10 minutes away, and next to the hotel you will find a bus that takes you directly to Plaça Catalunya and Las Ramblas.

All rooms are simply decorated and comfortable. Please note that the local tourist tax is not included in the booked rate.

This will be charged directly at the hotel and paid upon check-in. We offer a daily buffet breakfast service at an additional cost.

12€ per person and per night We accept pets in our hotel rooms, maximum 2 and at a cost of €16 per night per pet. Pets are not allowed in the Apartment.

We also offer parking spaces in a nearby building, not directly connected to the hotel, for a supplement of €25 per night (reservation required)

Booked this 2 star hotel, advertised at about £95 a night, for a week's holiday. Have to say that the room, though perfectly clean, was disappointingly basic. There were shelves and a hanging space that you couldn't call a wardrobe, and the desk/table was just a fixed shelf with a plastic chair. The worst disappointment was that when checking the bill I found I had been charged over £200 for four of the seven nights. The excuse was that there was a big conference going on in Barcelona. No delegates were to be seen at breakfast, and the hotel did not appear to be fully booked for those 4 days. That room was not worth £200 a night. Pure profiteering.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic. The staff from the night crew to the day crew was outstanding. I was there as a tourist with little knowledge of the area. They helped me find exactly what I needed from entrainment to restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast had something for everyone’s taste.

Very clean; comfortable beds; friendly staff who speak English well; 10+mins walk to Park Guell. In a quiet neighborhood with a supermarket downstairs. Our room has a nice balcony. Overall a great experience. The only downside was that our bathtub somehow was slippery and I fell. So watch out a little.

The hotel is conveniently located to Park Guell and Sagrada Familia. Whilst it is a bit of a distance on Metro or Bus to Barceloneta or the Gothic Quarter, my family and I wanted peace and quiet, so this hotel was ideal for exactly that.
It is visible the Hotel needs some repair works. Primarily, in terms of ventilation. The vents in the bathroom were not working, so humidity accummulated in excess both in the bathroom and in the bedroom. As a result, the towels wouldn't dry, and the bathroom was mouldy, with a dented door that wouldn't close properly.
That to one side, sleep and breakfast quality were good, and transport links more than made up for the humidity challenge. In fact, there's a bus stop right by the hotel door.
The hotel accommodated an earlier breakfast for us, as we were meant to travel very early in the morning. Kind, courteous staff, and no security challenges in the area.

Breakfast starts at 7:30am which is not good for early flights. We left at 6:45am. While the hotel is in a safe central location it is a bit older and basic.It was a bit noisy, could hear conversations from the rooms next door. We could not turn on the AC because the entire hotel was on heat. The hotel provided a fan which was helpful. We tried to open windows but it’s a pretty busy and noisy street. Overall it was a little pricey for what you get but ok for an overnight stay.

All of the staff at the desk and serving breakfast were really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The area was really convenient with shops and restaurants in the area. Park Guel was nearby as well as the charming area of Gracia which was a little to the south within walking distance. Perhaps in the future the walls could have some soundproofing done to make the hotel quieter and a contractor could do a little repairing or finishing of electrical holes (blinds), ceiling tiles in the bathroom- minor finishes. All in all, we would definitely return. We really enjoyed our stay!

The hotel offers discount coupons for many attractions which is very useful.
Location: Unbeatable. Bus stop right in front. Hop on hop off stop next to the public bus stop. Metro station-600mts. So basically you can get to any important place in Barcelona within 20-30 mins.
Breakfast: decent for the price. The menu is the same everyday. The taste was very good. The spread is pretty limited but no complaints for the price.
Rooms, bathroom and common areas: clean and tidy
WiFi is very good.

Downside:
The walls are paper thin. Don’t use expect any privacy in terms of sound. Even a regular tone conversation can be clearly heard from the next room and traffic sounds can be quite disturbing.

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Travessera. The staff were so kind. The hotel was always clean. The breakfast selections were excellent. I always felt safe walking in the neighborhood, even late at night by myself. I would definitely stay there again.

Good place to stay, you get what you pay for and has good transport links to the rest of Barcelona, you can even walk to the centre as its a nice route. Room had very very basic facilities... shower, toilet, bed and hair dryer but that's about it. Only downside to this hotel is that during my 7 day stay my towels were only changed ONCE! and room was cleaned twice as opposed to every day. Sign on the wall says cleaning services finish at 2pm I would put out the sign for my room to be cleaned at around 11:30am then come back to the room around 6pm/7pm and most of the time it was not cleaned. I didn't mind too much but still something that should be noted.

Personal de recepcion y direccion muy amables y atentos. En el servicio de desayuno se adaptaron a mis necesidades alimentarias. Cerca de metro y bus.
Incluso me imprimieron un mapa para como desplazarme por la zona.
No hay que olvidar que es un 2*, y el precio que se paga, pero sobradamente vale la pena.

Perfect for a short stay, close to parc Güell

We only stayed one night prior to our cruise. Staff were super courteous. They have someone at the front desk 24 hours. They store luggage. They have an area to rest when checked out but need to kill time (we had an hour before we could head to the port). They have several tables and offer food (seemed like full buffet) but our booking did not include food so I cannot comment on that. Walking distance to Parc Güell and some restaurants and shops and another green space/parc. We walked or taxied to places but a bus stop is right out front. Front desk helped Me find an open pharmacy on a weekend. Room was typical Europe/ small. They have AC. The ac vent was loud in the bathroom, but closing the bathroom door made the room get hotter. Not a huge deal for one night and we slept just fine. Nice black out curtains.

Waren 4 Tage in Barcelona. Hotelzimmer war sehr sauber, Personal freundlich und der Weg bis zur nächste Metrostation (Alfons X) nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Von dort aus ist das Zentrum (Metrostation Pl. Catalonya) und der Hafen (Metrostation Barceloneta) schnell erreichbar. Bushaltestelle  sowie eine Haltestelle für den HopOn-HopOf Bus (Haltestelle Park Güell) gibt es gleich neben dem Hotel. Hat viele Cafes in der Nähe. Hotel ist gleich neben einer gut befahrenen Strasse, darum auch eher laut mit offenem Fenster. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis allgemein eher zu teuer.

I booked this property because Expedia noted multiple times in the online ad that this hotel offered a discount to the nearby gym. After we booked the hotel, I asked the front desk about that and they informed me that the hotel does not offer this and that Expedia is incorrect. I was upset because I chose this hotel over a better located, cheaper Airbnb because I wanted access to the gym, that apparently didn't exist.

The walls are paper thin and you can hear weird sounds all night like somethings in he walls but it most likely the pipes. Walls were very marked up and so were the floors. Found mold in the mini fridge. The hotel asks you to hand in your keys if you leave for the day which I find extremely weird and do not like. Also the card that activates the light is on the keychain for the door key which makes it hard to unlock and lock the door when your in he room cause you cannot see. The bed was pretty much the cleanest and nicest thing in the room. There is no official luggage room or system other than a scrap of paper with your name and no ticket for yourself.The staff were friendly and nice.

Cheap but worth to stay hotel

Nice, small, cheap hotel. It’s good to stay at if you don’t want to spend a lot for a bed and bathroom. The room is just fine to keep your stuff while you’re away and to sleep after a long walk in Barcelona. Ten min walk to a subway, 30 min walk to passeig de gracia, one min to supermarket and post office, 15 mins to park guell. Wifi is free and terribly slow.

Really poor smelly accommodation

Excellent service but accommodation poor and lacking. Honestly felt like it was a really bad student house share. Lots of noise at night from other guests even right outside my door in early hours of the morning, constant loud banging noises in early hours, really loud air conditioning system.

I was not made aware that my accommodation was an internal room which was a bit of a shock. There was a window to a small courtyard but honestly felt like a prison. Every time I opened the window there was a very strong sewage smell that I could not quite locate. Room itself was dirty. Breakfast also not worth 10 euros.

All in all although this was meant to be a budget stay for me as I was attending an expensive conference i wish I had perhaps just stayed less days for the conference or booked alternative accommodation. I do not recommend at all.

The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.
Could hear people in next door room at times but did not keep me awake. I had a double bed in my room but it would have been difficult to find space for another suitcase, if the room was to be occupied by 2. Air conditioner worked well all the time.
It is not far from Plaza Catalunya by bus which stops right in front of the hotel. But there were days when it would have been nice to have a hotel closer in to be able to go back and have a midday nap. Barcelona in August can get hot.
I was told by the friend who recommended Hotel Travessera it was a no frills hotel so was surprised to find a mini bar. That was nice.

Had a really nice stay during Spring break! The staffs are so nice and helpful. The place itself is very convenient to the city centre and few minutes away from Sagrada familia and Parc Guell. It is right next to the bus stop that takes you to the city centre (approx. 20 mins journey). The area is peaceful and safe. The rooms are very clean. However, you could hear the noise from next door. It was perfect for students like me whose on a budget. 100% enjoyed my stay and would book it again if I visit Barcelona again.

Grim hotel in acceptable area.

I would not recommend this hotel to my friends. First impressions were terrible as the reception stunk of cigarette smoke. The furniture in reception looked tired and dated. Room wise, there was no window. Actually, there was one that overlooked to a dark courtyard and which didn't lock so it didn't feel safe sleeping at nights. The bathroom towels were not dirty but looked old and yellowish.
