There are definitely better places for this price. Rooms have freezing cold tile floors! Breakfast is painfully limited – almost no options, barely any food at all. And not a single vegetable in sight. The breakfast room feels like a basement. Please, open the curtains! An okay hotel if you’re out of options. Quiet though – that’s a plus. Staff was very sweet also!

This is an excellent location & just a few hundred metres from some great restaurants & cafes. It is only 100 metres to the metro and bus stops. The heart of Barcelona is about 2 -3km away & most folks walk this to take in the magnificent buildings and shopping experience

The hotel is in a good location as food and grocery stores are easy 3 min walk. Subway station is 6 min walk and easy to use. The hotel is dated but very clean and comfortable. Our main problem is that most hotels in Europe have either heat or a/c and individual rooms cannot be either/or. Had to leave window open to cool for us. The buffet breakfast is very good and plentiful. The staff was more than helpful and friendly..Recommend this place.

Great location. About a 10 minute stroll to Lessops Metro. I have bum knees so you might be faster. Five quick stops to Catalunya. The top of Las Ramblas. Or, stay on an additional two stops and be down at the waterfront. The room was clean. Beds are comfy. Breakfast was very good. If you’re like me and don’t like to forage for food in the morning, I recommend taking this option. Staff were not overly friendly or rude either. I read other comments complaining about the friendliness of staff. I did very much appreciate the ability to have the room early. I have stayed at dives that have had extremely friendly staff. Nice staff / Older Hotel

Was very overpriced, but we didn’t have a choice. Emergency stay. Staff was super helpful, but the location is not very walkable. A few restaurants around and some shopping, but not near any sites. The place is kind of old and could use some tlc, but it’s clean and will work if needed.

Safe, quiet and convenient

Stayed here 6 years ago and wanted a location I was familiar with. Comfortable room. Helpful staff. One block to Metro. Restaurants and small grocery close by. Not near the center of things, but easy trip to anywhere in the City on the Metro. Good breakfast but at a surcharge. I went to local cafe a block away.

Good place to stay

Everything was fine. I wish the AC was a little colder though but besides that, it was a fine stay. There's a few shops near by but it's a little outside of the Barcelona's attractions (about 15 minutes from Sagrada Familia). WIFI was fantastic and staff was friendly.

Further from the main centre of Barcelona but subway stations are 10-15 min walk so can access from there. A little old and worn down but gets the job done - we only went to sleep here. Room was cleaned everyday. They helped us arrange a taxi at 4am as we had a 7am flight. I would say they should maybe upgrade the furniture in the rooms to improve.

Reception staff was very welcoming upon arrival - we arrived late and he was very friendly in suggesting nearby eateries and supermarkets we could get snacks from as we didn't exactly fancy something in the hotel at that moment. Rooms were quiet so no disturbance from other people too.

quite worrying

We firstly thought the hotel was really nice and was loving the experience, but we arrived on Friday and by Sunday night we saw silver fish running along the floor and it was really upsetting, I have photographic evidence unfortunately

Great hotel with great location

Great hotel overall, with very nice looking bathroom!
Only downpoints were that the shower was never able to be set to a nice temperature and it would keep changing to hot and cold sometimes, and that we couldn’t seem to get the aircon to work properly, it would always be hot in the room despite the air con being on 24/7.
I recommend this hotel as its pretty cheap and it looks like it should be a 4 star hotel. Just fix the showers!!

No greeting on arrival - very robotic gentleman checked us in. Air-con in rooms is useless, rooms left sweltering by room staff. Often changed to highest when room cleaned. Rooms dusty, no tea-making facilities in room. Mini bar was broken. Safe broken. Breakfast service is good, full of variety. Beds comfortable.

The hotel and the room were lovely, clean and comfortable, but the bathroom we had on the 4th floor was not well arranged. The commode was directly behind the door, but you had to open the door and squeeze past the sink to turn around to get to the commode. The bidet was located in a much more convenient place. If you used the bidet more than the commode, then you won't have a problem. Plus there had been some kind of water damage where the bottom 8\" or so of door jambs were swollen with some kind of wood rot. This was the most expensive of the hotels we stayed in while in Spain and it had the least value for the money, in our opinion.

Mmmmm... not so sure!

Was put in a tiny BASIC room when I paid for a standard room. Requested a move which they did! To a room where the bathroom was still tiny and the bath tap/ shower didn't function properly, the drainage on the sink was broken so most of the water poured onto the floor. View is definitely not what the picture shows... other then that we had breakfast which weren't bad and the bed was comfy.

Not the best place...

Had a reservation for over a week, booked a king size bed and got a twin one with adjoined beds... it was dirty... the bed headboard was full of white dust, probably from the wall painters and also found hair in the bed...
The floor has no carpet and when changing position during the night, the bed slides and makes a terrible sound.
At least we got the king size bed we asked on the 2nd night. This room was cleaner but still not perfect...

Anyway... I'd have another look around before booking this hotel

The bed is terribly soft and old. The walls are paper thin, I got woke up by noise from next door or above people having sex in the middle of the night! (230am & 5am!) The scramble eggs in breakfast tasted awful, tasted very bitter like windex.

in general hotel is in good loction, with great staff and clean room, my only point for Eruostars Mitre Hotel is their mattres and it is not comfortable and they were very old. we both were sinked in and the middle had a good looking hill between us.Other than that we were excited and happy with service.

The room had a strong smell like fumigation or cleaning products that didn't go away, had to sleep with window wide open all night. This is a serious health hazard. Bare tile floors, dust and stains on table surfaces. Terrible breakfast, bread and croissants were old and hard as rocks.

Good standard hotel for non luxury staying

This is a very good hotel. Its strongest point is location: 14 mins by metro from door to door to Placa Catalunya. It is on the blue route of Bus Touristic and very close to Blue tram stop towards Tibidabo. its a modern building, rooms are spacious, staff very polite and accommodating. The disadvantages are (which I think reflects in not too high price per room): slow wi-fi signal, is only available at early morning, plumbing issues: difficult to adjust shower temperature, and the water not swirling from the bath. It didnt affect me much, as overall those facilities have performed ok. Will recommend for its price, size of rooms, clearness and location.

Great location

The hotel may not be centrally located, but it is still located in a great location as it is close to public transportation (less than a 2 minute walk from the hotel), that gets you to all the main attractions in 10 minutes. There is a grocery store called Dia % by the hotel where we purchased our breakfast each morning in order to save some $. The hotel walls are really thin, so I would recommend bringing some earplugs, unless you don't mind hearing what everyone else is up to throughout the day/night. There is a 20 euro deposit for the room safe which they return to you when you leave, a good idea to have to give you a peace of mind for your personal belongings. We felt very safe in the hotel, and it was located in a very nice area. I would come back here again!

Very good service, specially the Front Desk staff. The hotel is comfortable, somewhat off the center of town, need to take a bus or subway. During my two stays (in two different rooms) I found that it was a little difficult to control the hot/cold shower faucets, in both rooms. It was either too hot or too cold, until you could finally find the right temperature. Otherwise I found the hotel clean and comfortable.

Average hotel

The hotel is located close to two metro lines, in a nice neighbourhood. It is an average hotel with basic amenities. Our room the first night was very small, then the nice girl at the front desk gave us a larger room, as we were there for a long stay. She was very helpful and friendly. Would probably stay there again.

We chose this hotel based upon its proximity to family in the Bonanova neighborhood. It is convenient to public transportation (buses and Metro Line 7) and walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the hilly neighborhood near Parc Guell. The staff was very accommodating and the room was relatively spacious compared to other hotel rooms we have encountered in Europe. Overall good value for the price we paid. We did not take advantage of the breakfast offered, but were pleased with the wifi available around the property. We also rented bikes and were able to keep them in the bedroom, which was very helpful as we did not want to lock them outside.

Great hotel; perfect service

Nice employees; safe and clean; quiet (surprisingly quiet as it is less than a block from major streets); easy transportation by bus or subway (less than 200 meters from subway station); restaurants and coffee shops nearby; 20 minutes (and 30 euros) from airport by taxi; great price (at least in January, for a single traveler). On the minus side, poor view from the room (this is a problem common in the city). If you are looking for an hotel in Barcelona and you don't \"need\" to stay in the tourist center of the city, I do recommend you this hotel. You will need about 20 minutes to go to the center of the city, but this is part of the experience of visiting a new place.

The room was small but the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We used the breakfast service on our first morning but opted for local bakeries thereafter. A Metro station and taxi stand are one block away. Although the hotel is not within the main tourist zones, they are easily accessible by Metro. We would return.
