This property is located in a quiet area not next tourist attraction. The staff was friendly. Hotel was clean but I would consider it a 3 star hotel. Why I will not be back again or I will not recommend this hotel because they only give you for the first night coffee pods/tea otherwise they are €3 each pod, the money we paid for a 4 star hotel but then don’t except that

The property staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean, the beds and sheets are comfortable. The bathroom has smell of sewage and the room we stayed is by the street so it was very noisy - the sound proofing is not good. The transportation and grocery store is nearby, which is good; but this area is a little off the center so it is not walkable to everything. Overall, it has been a nice stay.

Our hotel was just in the outskirts of the city centre, 2 minutes walk from the metro station. The staff were friendly and the hotel is located near plenty of shops and cafes. Only one negative point for me was that there was no lock on the bathroom door. So when you book a family room there’s no privacy if you’re child walks in on you. Apart from that everything else was 10/10

I did not receive an upgrade as I had booked the top grade of room available, so knew a free upgrade would not be offered.
The room was clean and looked recently refurbished.
Unfortunately, due to wooden floors, we were disturbed during the night and in the morning by people moving around in the room above ours. One night this lasted from 3am until 4.30 then again from 7.30am until 9. Not ideal when we wanted a restful break. Also something we feel other prospective guests should be aware of.
It is a very local area with great places to eat nearby. Nearest train stop is a few minutes walk with great transport links around the city. It is also a nice area to walk around as it's quiet away from the main roads.
The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room, which were useful.
The bed was large but very hard so not the most comfortable, for us. Others may prefer that.
The bathroom was large with a good shower. The Rituals toiletries were a nice bonus.
We had a room at the back of the hotel so no traffic noise. I think that could have been an issue for rooms at the front of the hotel as it was on a busy road. But it's a city so to be expected.

Very nice and helpful staff. They speak fluent English as well. Excellent service. We got a spacious room. Hotel’s on a quiet location which we prefer but still close to a Metro and public transportation. There’s a Tim Horton’s coffee shop in the corner of the street across to our surprise :) And a local Spanish market just a walking distance away. Also walking distance to avenue diagonal for some nice shops and restaurants.

Best thing about the hotel is the staff. Everyone was welcoming, friendly and helpful.

Easy access to metro and eateries not far away

Only downside was Aircon not very good.

Great stay and will certainly use the Hotel Rekord again.

Avoid the Pent house for this Hotel.

We selected the Pent house based on the picture expecting to have more external view that just the skylight and lots of room. Air was not working properly and had an issue from the stay before us electrically. After the first 2 days, the air broke down. This was a horrible night as temperatures were over 85 F. We were upgraded for the last 2 days of our stay into a better room with working Air.

It was very close to the Metro and about 15 minutes 2 Plaza Cataluna. Our room was in the back where it was very quiet. They have coffee makers in each room and offer a breakfast for an additional fee which I did not take advantage of. It was very satisfactory for my visit.

Fantastic location and fairly easy to get to. With a bus stop opposite the hotel and the metro a 2 min walk, it was very easy to get around Barcelona. Also, being away from the main centre meant it was quieter in the evenings.
Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The nespresso machine is a great touch. At times a little noisy due to hard floors and thin walls, but slept well. Breakfast was not fantastic and not worth the price for the one time we tried it. Are plenty of places to eat anyway. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Hotel had a very good location, close to public transport (train called FGC going to Placa de Catalunya). It was not far away from Avinguda Diagonal, around 15min walking.
Staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed and really appreciated all their effort to make our stay a good one.
Room was clean, but the bed matress seemed to be too hard. The bathroom lacked an extractor fan for ventilating the room. Also, at night there was a smell coming from the bathroom and you could hear other people flushing the toilet (a bit noisy for us).
Breakfast was basic but ok. A bit disappointed because they charged breakfast for the toddler.

Car park isn't the hotel's & u have to leave keys

The main reason we chose this hotel was because it was central and had parking which for Barcelona seemed a good thing to want. When we got there there were no signs for the park so I went inside to ask and after having to fill out paperwork (even though I told the receptionist my husband was outside waiting in the car which was not well parked in the main avenue), she came outside to show me where the park was and then warns me the park doesn't belong to the hotel, they have some kind of agreement with them only and the car park assistant would have to have my car key to move the car!! I was quite annoyed at this, as it made no sense to me until I saw the car park. It was just one medium size garage where they parked the cars as close to each other as possible and then everytime someone wanted to take the car, they changed the cars obstructing it, as pieces in a puzzle. Ridiculous, but by then we had no choice. Not very happy, not even a paper confirming we were leaving the car there, not to mention the assistant was less than nice (not to say outright rude). Oh, when we went to get our car the next day, we just pointed at it and they gave us the key, and it wasn't even the same guy who had parked us before, so we could have chosen whatever car we wanted I suppose.
The room we were put in had an ok living room and a windowless bedroom as well as a big bathroom, albeit in an old style. Clean enough, finishings could be much better.

The real stand out for me from our stay at Hotel Rekord was the location of the hotel. Situated a stones throw from the L6 subway line, journeying into the city, towards Las Ramblas and the seafront was simple and takes only a short amount of time. The hotel is situated just outside of the main tourist centres of Barcelona, allowing for peaceful evenings once back at the hotel, however as a result of the L6, you are never really too far away from the lively Barcelona spirit. A short walk away from bus stops towards Camp Nou and Tibidabo, Hotel Rekord provided everything we were looking for and more. The fact we only talked to the polite and welcoming staff at the front desk in the mornings when we departed for the day, and in the evenings when we returned is a testament to our spacious, comfortable and air conditioned room as we had no issues in our room throughout our stay. A selection of local supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants and small fashion boutiques only added to the charm of the area, and to say I was thoroughly pleased with our stay here is an understatement.

Nice hotel but removed from tourist attractions

The hotel was small and nice but quite a bit removed from the center of all the action (but the atmosphere was calmer which can be a plus). The metro is nearby and public transportation buses but please note that it cost about 25 euros to get from the port and 30 euros to get to the airport by taxi. The room was clean and the bed was extremely firm (if that's what you like it's great). The room was a little stuffy and the AC was not running when I arrived, when I inquired I was advised that the system had just been taken off of heat two days prior but the AC had not been turned on yet. He quickly called the mechanic and within a few hours AC was running. The breakfast was very good and run by one very nice lady that provided a quality of service that here in the states would have required two to three people. The gentle man that ran the front desk during the day time was exceptional (friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond by printing me a map of how to use the public transportation to make it to some areas).

The location of this hotel is close to the train to get into central Barcelona. There were issues with water pressure as well as a heating problem in the hotel room. The water was not even running the first night in the shower or sink. Staff was friendly, however a reduction in hotel charges was not even offered. This is the least that could have been done given the circumstance of no running water or heat.

Tiene todo tipo de cuartos, a nosotros nos tocó el ático, que es un cuarto espectacular con techos inclinados grandes ventanales (aunque complicado subir porque son escaleras estrechas) y otro cuarto interior muy amplio. EL servicio muy amable y muy bueno. Enfrente hay dos panaderías excelentes, a un lado la farmacia y está cerca de todo. Es una muy buena opción.

Hvis man ønsker å bo litt borte fra byens støy er dette perfekt. Ligger i et hyggelig boligområde veldig nær metrostasjonen, så det er lett å komme seg til sentrum og turistområdene. Vi reiste med to barn. Frokosten var også topp, med frukt, godt utvalg av pålegg, fersk juice og bakst.

Habitacion realmente amplia y camas muy comodas, duras. Suite con sofa, escritorio, sillones, cafetera Nespresso y agua embotellada. Cuarto de baño de un buen tamaño con plato de ducha amplio y muchos detalles. La atencion fue excelente y detalle de una botella de cava como bienvenida. Desayuno correcto, habia prácticamente de todo y con reposición inmediata. Muy buena opcion.

Nos alojamos en una habitación para 4, estuvo muy bien, espaciosa, el personal de recepción muy amable. Lo que podría mejorar es el baño, al menos incluyendo un accesorio para colocar los implementos de ducha.Una tv más grande en la habitación. Más limpieza de paredes y detalles. El hotel está ubicado en una zona tranquila, se puede caminar a zona más comercial.
