The place was surgical suite clean! YEA!! Staff were very nice and helpful. It's quite. Kutchen has a microwave and you can also make tea ir coffee for those late night drinks as dishes are avaliable. Breakfast was a traditional Spanish breakfast with a variety of high quality meats, fruits, veggies breads, pastries, spreads and juices.
Bed was comfortable. I cannot say enough nice things. It's close to public transportation and taxis are outside frequently. The immediate neighborhood is a working class place but safe a several affordable restaurants a couple of blocks over.
Yes I would stay again.

Very basic, not for families

The room is incredibly small and was next to the reception desk, so close and the wall was so thin that we could hear every creak of the chair when a person was sat at the desk, it’s not a hotel more of a hostel. Very noisy, not relaxing at all and only recommend if only for one night / party goers who don’t mind being woken up by doors slamming next to them at 4am in the morning.

Beautiful B&B!

Excellent service and kind staff. The place is brand new and it's beautiful. I was reluctant to stay in a place with a separate bathroom but the bathroom is clean and newly renovated. They even offer breakfast, which isn't mentioned in the booking at all. I'll definitely book here again!

It was lovely of Blue Barcelona to make sure we had keys and information on how to get into the place in the middle of the night. Roxana was lovely helping us check in. The rooms were really cute and spacious. It look us a while to figure out the black-out curtains. There are bars nearby and it was really noisy at night until we figured out the outside curtains to help with noise. Breakfast was good. Bathrooms were always clean and we never had to compete with anyone else.

The property was not too hard to find, and did have a lift for getting luggage up to the 2nd floor. The room was very small, but was ok for a two night stay. They put out a very nice selection for the included breakfast. The staff was pleasant and was able to check us into our rooms early, so we had a place to leave luggage while we went out to explore Barcelona. The property was located close to two main Metro routes and stations, which made getting around very easy.

The air conditioning didn’t work. They only changed towels and sheets every 3 days. Also, I went to the ER room because the glass door broke while I was taking a shower. I had to get all the glass pieces out of body, also I got an stitch on my arm. An employee took me to the hospital. They never offer an apology, neither contacted me.
I’m so disappointed with this place.

The bed not so comfy nor the one pillow. Bathroom ok except shower cubicle is very small (I am not big either). Very noisy can hear all outside noise all night and any noise from inside also! Possibly a little overpriced for what it is.

Hotel was great location right off the metro (Gràcia). The staff was super friendly and checked us in a little early (with an email to confirm that was okay) the bed wasn’t the comfiest but it wasn’t super clean. The breakfast spread was fantastic and the area of the hotel is alright. Not to many touristy things around. But tons of shopping and food. For the price it was perfect !

Property is in an excellent location, the Gràcia district is lovely! The breakfast room was well stocked and welcoming. Staff was friendly and we appreciate that they could speak English. However, we had a bad experience with noise the first two nights due to celebrants partying on the street below our window. It’s very difficult to recover from jet lag when you can’t sleep! The shower drain plugged up the first time we used it, so we cleaned it out ourselves and did not complain. Then the hot water heater for our side of the hotel stopped working for the last three days of our stay. Our hostess kept us informed and apologized often. We were able to use a shared shower on the other side of the building—not far, but not what we paid for.

Staff was amazing. The owner was so caring, lost my phone and helped me to how to file a police report. The after hour guy, was so so nice, help me find a parking for my rental car, helped me with my luggage’s. And when I tried to tip him, he said no. My stay was good. The place is super clean, the staff is great and helpful morning breakfast is well stocked, coffee, bread, Bakeries, fruit, cereal.
One negative is that when arriving at the place, it's an apartment building, and right the intercom seems to do nothing. I had to wait until someone entering the buildings let me in. I think the person at the desk was listening in, but it's not clear. On my last day someone had the same problem and I let him in. The protocol on how to get in touch with front desk should be made more clear after reservation.
The following comments are about the flaws, that can seem negative, but keep in mind that it is a good affordable place Overall. Those are not the fault of the owner, but the setup of the place and the fact that's it is an older building. to me, those were not much a problem : single room is Small, but functional, as mirror, a small desk, some drawers, the bed is single and small but despite that I'm tall, it was long enough for me and comfortable and I had a window to get so light and fresh air. It was what I needed. For around 45 euros a night,I was not asking for luxury. Not much sound proofing ( thins walls) you can here other room and the common room.The single room is also right under the overhead floor bathroom So, you heat water noise often. But, at night it was calmed and I didn't have problem sleeping. There are larger rooms. One good side is that this room was at the back of the building, no street noises

I would give a 5/5 for the location; right next to Gràcia and all the main attractions of Barcelona are just at walkable distance from here.

Rooms are neat and comfy. Staffs are friendly and welcoming; though the breakfasts menu is exact same everyday it’s good.

Internet is slow and can be a pain sometimes. The only issue here is it’s a shared toilet system, 3 rooms share a toilet, though the toilets are big and he all the facilities; if you have an untidy/ bad neighbor then your bathroom story is going to be really terrifying.

Comfortable Place to Recharge and Prepare!

I would consider our stay at Blue Barcelona a fairly good experience, but this is coming from someone who is very easy going in respect to services received. During our stay, we knew we would be spending very little time at the hotel. Therefore, we got want we wanted out of our stay which was a place to sleep and prepare ourselves for the day at hand. The breakfast included a variety of baked goods, meats, cheeses, fruits and other items you would expect to find. We found it to be really good! The air conditioning was great, especially after a long day exploring the city. Although the hotel had shared bathrooms, they were very clean for the most part and we never had to wait to use one. The only negative thing I have to say about our stay, is the fact you could hear people entering the building and talking in other rooms. We used an ambient noise application to reduce the amount of various noises we could here while sleeping. As well as the mattress was a little hard, but overall a pretty good experience.

The worst experience in my life

This was the worst experience in my life. They were not at the stablishment when we arrived. I had to say on the hotel beside it and ( Augusta Hotel). The manager on duty were trying to help me but it wasn't able because the key wasn't place in the box to get in to the location. The next day I call to ask for my refund and they sad that I was never there. But I have the pictures to prove it.

This is NOT a hotel. This is a \"Hostel\" and should be shown as such. Although our room had it's own bathroom, but not all do!
Also there is no one there after 8:00PM to check you in. So that should be mentioned so to not leave overseas guests out in the streets. We barely made it as the front desk person was leaving and she was put out that she had to check us in!?
The other rooms sharing a common bathroom so at breakfast, which is in the living room by the way, other quests walking around in their underwear going back and forth to the bathroom, which was not an issue if we knew in advance what to expect.

BED BUGS!!!

Our first impression when we arrived was that the hotel looked, clean and very nice. However, our very first night we were woken up by BED BUGS!!! They were behind the bed and were on us and the bed! We tried calling the number of \"in case of emergency\" and no one answered.We could not go back to sleep and we were paranoid about the bugs. We ended up getting our stuff and leaving at 3 AM to another hotel, where we stayed the rest of the week. The next day we went to return the keys, told the front lady what had happened, and I am not sure if she didn't understand what we meant, but it was as if she didn't care, no apology, didn't even offer another room for us, just took the key. We were shocked, but we just left, we had wasted so much time sleeping in because of the previous night we didn't want to waste more time. The hotel and the bathroom looked clean, if you want to risk the bed bugs its on you.

showers and toilets out of the room at the corridor and all the others rooms using them.
it wasn't written on the expedia booking page.
bad condition hotel and they want extra money for room cleaning.
they gave me 4 big towels and 4 small towels for 2 persons for 4 nights- its barely enough only for one person for this period. they asked for extra money to change towels- and it also wasn't written on expedia booking.
this place supposed to classified as an hostel not as hotel and this is brutal deception.
I'm an expedia client and until now everything was ok. On 6/10/2017 I have another flight and hotel booking with expedia to taiwan and japan and I hope it will be better than this experience.
anyway I expect to get my 329.68 EUR back otherwise I will have to sue the hotel/expedia.
this trip was a present for my daughter and I'm very disappointed!

The lady at the front desk (I believe her name was Olga) and the woman in charge of breakfast and cleaning the rooms were really great! Olga was super helpful with helping us locate places we wanted to go to, as well, give us advice such as keeping our belongings close to us in certain areas so they won't get stolen.

During breakfast time, the lady accommodated us when she found out we didn't eat pork. She made us vegetarian options for the rest of the day which was awfully kind of her.

The rooms were clean and very nice! I loved the blue and white theme. The location is right beside a metro and was a good walking distance to different locations.

Best part, a complimentary wine bottle was provided for us. I thought that was really nice! All our other hotels didn't provide something complimentary or any sort of upgrade. It was a very nice touch.

The room was cozy and clean. The air conditioning unlike most hotels I have experienced in Barcelona was working great! The service desk is not open late, so my keys were left with my name in letter box which was greta and during checkout just handed them back to the cleaning staff since we checkout early. The bathroom was nice, but the floor was always wet and the other occupants did not clean after themselves.
The breakfast was free and nice.

Pro #1: location, location, location!
2 metro stops within 5 min walk (Gracia & Fontana) - buy a T10 metro pass (10 rides for 10 Euros) and you can get anywhere from this location.
Pro #2: very clean! We had a room with shared bathroom and bathrooms were spotless & modern.
Con #1: No window in our room & it was very small - but for the price and location it's a small inconvenience
Con #2: very thin walls, can hear people's conversations in the rooms next to us.
Breakfast very basic but ok to start the day.
Would definitely stay here again but most likely in a room with window

Pleasant stay

Very clean rooms and bathrooms, availability was not an issue. A few steps away from the Gracia station, 2 away from Plaza de Catalunya. Good breakfast. Very convenient airport pickup, thanks Priscilla!
