The people at the desk were very helpful. We arrived earlier than check in and they checked us. It was sooo nice of them. The metro was a short walk and from there you can reach anywhere. The terrace was a nice plus to sit on at night. Lovely place to stay.

Hotel is near a couple transit stations which was very convenient to get anywhere in the city, especially heaving towards the tourist areas. Only complaint was that the bed was very firm but I put down the extra blankets they had and it helped.

Pros: large apartment size, large bathroom, pool, early check in, quiet area, walkable to two train stations. Plenty of restaurants close by and a supermarket next door. Daily breakfast available.
Cons: we had a major flooding issue with the shower. All it needs is a strip of metal at the entrance to redirect the water down the drain!

Breakfast in the morning, but they charge for it… did not know that… would still have ordered it but not disclosed there is a charge.

Would stay here again easily.

I was very excited about the aparthotel, but was rather disappointed about two things: in the first place, regarding the swimming pool, the photos provided in the listing are misleading, as there is a small square pool that is hardly meant for swimming but rather for simply dipping and I had other expectations. However, the sun deck is large and well accomodated. The room was adequate, the kitchen facility very basically equipped, and the furnishings clean but rather somber and old-fashioned. The person at the reception asked me why I had complained that I hadn’t received any VIP treatment, and said that was only for clients who had a car and needed parking as they would provide it for free. I had no need for a car as my son lives in Barcelona, so I am a rather unique client but could be a promising one as I travel frequently to visit. As for the price, undoubtedly that is a strong argument in favor of the place, although I don’t know if I would return on the next occasion….

A very good 6 day stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. It's an aparthotel, so a mix between an apartment with some hotel facilities. Our room had in addition to the bathroom and bedroom a seating area with TV a small kitchen area with microwave and 2 ring hob, fridge and sink. Also a good size balcony. There is no bar and limited on site food options but close by there are supermarkets and a number of places to eat and drink also other shops so not a problem. A short walk to Ave. Tribidabo L7 or slightly further to Valcarca L3 transport hubs get you quickly into the centre of Barcelona and both hop on , hop off tourist buses have stops near L7 transport hub. Not in the the centre but good value for money and a good base to explore Barcelona.

Blessy check in and receptionist was friendly and helpful. Room was big and spacious but very old, very poor heating and I’m sure the heating system is over 25 yrs old ( I think uses hot water to warm the rooms) that was really disappointing.
Wifi was available but very slow. Worse wifi experience in all Spain.
Located away from city but there is metro about 250m away. TV has got English Channels (need to change the language from the remote) and that was wonderful.

Besides location being little far away to city centre (nearest tourist hotspot being Park Güell - 15 minutes walking), it was a good hotel with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and nice kitchen. Situated in a nice area of Barcelona, away from the main tourist areas, in a side street so you are not listening to traffic noise. This is a great hotel for its price range, the apartment I stayed in was ideal, clean and tidy and comfortable. Staff were great with plenty of smiles and greetings. Rooms were kept very clean and tidy. I can highly recommend if you like to be in Barcelona, but not in the central, noisy, busy area.

\Lovely hotel with a 5/10 minute walk to the local Metro. This gave us access to most of Barcelona and all the sights. It is up hill to the hotel so on most return journeys we did get a taxi. There is an outside escalator though so we did walk back a few times. Not loads in the area but there are a few things to see.

A little bit out of the way, but that sometimes isn't a bad thing. Metro stations for lines L3 (Valcarca) and L7 (Avenguida de Tibidabo) are both within a short walk and the metro ride into town is very quick. Also very handy if you want to visit Tibidabo via the Tramvia Blau and funicular. Hotel was quiet. My apartment had a nice terrace and the roof pool, while small, is nice to cool off in.

Nice quiet district on the outskirts.

The first room we were given was dark and too small for us. However the next day we transferred to a much nicer room with a balcony terrace on the 4th floor (for an extra €120).
Metro train links to the city centre were frequent and quick. It takes five minutes to walk to the station and then ten minutes on the train to Pl Catalunya and the Rambla.
This place is a bit old but everything is scrupulously clean and room service comes every day.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There is no bar but no need because there are so many tavernas that you can go to for a drink or something to eat. Breakfast is served to your apartment for an extra cost but you are better to go out to one of the local patisseries and have coffee and breakfast there.
Mount Tibidabo church is a 'must see' and quite close by. We also visited Montserrat which is also incredibly beautiful.
This is a good Base to have but I would only book again if guaranteed a balcony or terrace.

The aparthotel is not what you expect from the pictures you will have seen.
we stopped 4 nights and if I have had more than 8 hours sleep in total over 4 days then I will be amazed.
we stopped in room 205 and I have never heard noise in a hotel room like it - anytime anyone in the hotel opens a tap or flushes a toilet then you best get industrial strength ear plugs ready.
the staff didn't seem bothered in the slightest when I complained, please don't make the mistake of booking here ...

Nice roomy hotel, enjoyed our stay!

Hotel was good, near enough to a metro station and not far to get to town. Being further out means you get a bigger room and a swimming pool (though it was cold in October). Staff were very friendly and room cleaned daily to high standard. Personally I prefer the extra space to the cramped or expensive rooms I've stayed in in the centre of Barcelona.

We stayed for 5 nights in May. The room size was great and had everything we needed for our stay. You need to ask for a coffee machine though. Lots of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Putxet park is brilliant for views of Barcelona and its very close to Tibidabo if you want to visit the fair.

The bed was amazingly comfortable and I would stay again for this reason, nothing worse than going on holiday and not being able to sleep. It can get noisy and you can hear everyone using the bathroom, so if you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. The ac is rubbish, I would not like to stay in the height of summer. As other people have commented it is a little outdated but you don't go to Barcelona to stay in your room!! The staff were brilliant

A nice stay for the money

We are mainly budget travelers ($70-$100 a night) and we both really liked our stay here. First, it is maybe 200 yards from the metro. This stop is the last on it's line, so you are always getting on empty, and 6 stops later is the other end, which is at Las Ramblas, and has many the other connecting lines. Second, the room is spacious so you don't feel cramped. Room has a sofa and chair, queen bed and we had a balcony we ate out on. 3rd, we ordered the breakfast during booking so it is a better value. Coffee, milk, juice, several types of bread, yogurt and cereal all delivered to your room promptly at the time that you choose the night before. A filling start to the day. Other positives were the WiFi, roomy bathroom with hot shower, neighborhood felt safe walking in and a small rooftop pool.

Hotel was okay for price, but you had to use metro to get into town as it was quite far out. Rooftop pool was no more than a splash pool and not easily accessible from our apartment,which was situated adjacent to the hotel you would have to go downstairs to access the hotel then take the elevator to the 3rd floor and then took the stairs ...pool definitely not worth that effort. The rooftop view of Barcelona was just that, a view of rooftops and not very pretty ones.

Great Hotel

My husband and I stayed for a week at Apt Hotel Bartram in late October 2015. We were very pleased with our holiday in Barcelona, the hotel was everything we wanted, the staff were very helpful and all spoke English. The hotel is just 5 mins walk from the train at Tribidabo which takes 15 minutes to travel to Catalunya in the city centre.

My 2 years old daughter and I were bitten by bedbug.
Suffered during the entire trip from it.
When I reported to change the room, the staff was very unhelpful. He said tgere was no any other room. Then later he said there was a room to stay if i wanted to (no choice) When we had another room, there was water on the floor,actually from the fridge that the hotel was defrosting the ice, which was not visible, my little daughter fell over badly.There was no notice or sign about it. It was the worst hotel I have ever experienced. I will not recommend anyone.

Cool down at end of the day in pool on roof

We stayed in two apartment rooms at the Hotel Bertran for four nights. Our two eldest girls (13 and 10) were delighted to share an apartment next door to ours and our son (8) shared our apartment. The beauty of the hotel for us was that it offered no frills accommodation, a short metro ride from the centre of Barcelona, but far enough away to be feel like a bolt hole, with the massive bonus of having a (small) swimming pool on the roof in which the children (and grown ups) can splash and cool down at the end of a busy day's sight seeing. There were also sun loungers on the roof and a couple of tables for guests to use if they wanted to eat al fresco. The staff were friendly, welcoming and always available to answer questions. On our last morning they were happy for my wife and children to continue using the pool, while I traveled across Barcelona to pick up our rental car. The small underground car park meant that we could easily transfer our cases from their storage room. The staff's advice about best routes out of Barcelona (to Costa Brava) were invaluable and mean our onward journey was stress free.

A nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The train station and bus stops are within 5 minute walk. Most tourist attractions can be reached within 20-30 minutes. There are supermarkets nearby. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is spacious and comfortable. Provision of a kettle in the room would be useful. Overall a good experience. Certainly would recommend.

I do not recommend this hotel at all, I paid 3 nights for 2 persons and when I came the staff almost send me away, with the claim that they do no have our registration, it took almost 45 minutes to find my payment because I was strongly resistant and sure i did pay. What is the worst my second colleague came in the night and also they send her away with the claim they do not have registration for her name, she have been told that my name is also not registered in the hotel, despite the fact I was inside of teh hotel, I recommend for hotel to buy some kind of good registration software and to hire better informed staff
I am frequent traveler and this is could be small and nice family hotel, but they really should take incoming invoices and money into account , my first very bad bad experience, ....

Apartment facilities worked well for me. Could have been a little more clean with fresh coat of paint. Wi fi did not work in the room well. Sometimes it worked. Computer with Internet available though, downstairs.

Location worked well. Staff very helpful. Food store steps away. Prices were not too bad.

Good way to enjoy Barcelona!

Brush up on your Spanish and be prepared for Catalonian. Fascinating city.

I would definitely return to this city and this hotel.

Very nice for the price. We saved a lot cooking in the apartment. Apartment well cleaned daily. Must pay 16 euros a day for parking and there is no coffee pot but would still recommend. Close enough to 2 subways but safe area.

Schönes Barcelona, aber kein schönes Hotel

Die Lage des Hotels war gut. Der Stadtteil Tibidabo hat alles geboten, was wir brauchten. Das Hotelpersonal war zurückhaltend freundlich, aber das Zimmer hatte seine besten Zeiten gehabt. Gut, alles war sauber, die Reinigung erfolgte immer zuverlässig. Dennoch lag ein unangenehmer Geruch in der Wohnung. Das Bad hatte ebenso keine gute Lüftung. Die Einrichtung des Zimmers war in Ordnung, aber sehr alt. Die kleine Küche war sehr sparsam eingerichtet. Der Balkon bot keine gute Sicht. An mehreren Stellen muss renoviert werden. Insgesamt also nicht so gut, dass wir für den doch recht hohen Preis wiederkommen werden. Barcelona jedoch hat uns 12 wunderschöne Tage geschenkt. Danke dafür!

neu renoviertes Appartement im 1ten Stock,gute Betten (1x Doppel mit TV, 1x 2 EInzel),ausreichend Schränke, 1 großes und 1 kleines,neues Bad. 2 kleine Balkone zum Sitzen plus noch ein dritter zB zum Wäsche trocknen. Waschmaschine, Wäscheständer. Küche m.Gasherd, Spüle, Kühlschrank, Eisfach, Geschirr, Besteck, kleiner Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle. Wohnung im Haus direkt neben dem Hotel, ist auch ein Wohnhaus. Leider etwas hellhörig, man hört Einiges aus der Wohnung darüber. Aber man kann schlafen, wenn man vom Sightseeing müde genug ist :-). Balkone zum Hinterhof, kein traumhafte Aussicht, aber dafür schön ruhig. Auf dem Dach des Hotels kleiner Pool und Liegeflächen. Alles sauber und Mitarbeiter wirklich super nett und hilfsbereit. Wir konnten nach dem Aus-checken die Koffer dort unterstellen.Gegend: nahe Metrostation Vallcarca L3 und Nahe Kennedy Platz/ Av.Tibidao, dort fahren diverse Busse und beide Hop on/off Bus-Anbieter und man kommt von dort zum Tibidao. Von Parc Güell sind wir zu Fuss zurück zum Hotel gelaufen. Vom Flughafen per Taxi ca.25 min/Euro 50. Metro geht auch, aber mit Umsteigen. Um das Hotel nette Gegend, man fühlte sich sicher, gibt diverse kleine Märkte (auch Bio) zum Einkaufen, einen direkt neben dem Hotel. Unzählige schöne Cafes gibt es auch (sehr zu empfehlen: \"Manolo\") und einen Pizza Laden.Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Hat uns wirkl gut gefallen und ist zu empfehlen

Nice place to stay with friendly staff

Staff was very friendly and the apartment was lovely. We had a great visit! The only negative would be that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable.
