My stay was excellent and I would highly recommend this hotel to stay in a quiet and residential area, away from the city center. The buffet breakfast was excellent and affordable. The staff has been very helpful and friendly.

Neat, smallish hotel nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but close enough to reach any part easily via taxi or public transport. Very clean rooms, walk-in shower, internet with high speed, super friendly staff, decent room prices, tasty breakfast buffet. Will return on my next trip to Barcelona. Can only recommend it.

It was a nice stay. Hotel staff is very nice and friendly. Claudia was very helpful and assisted with all our questions and requests. Location is very convenient, short taxi ride to the center. And lots of restaurants within walking distance. Very cute area around the hotel. But rooms need some remodeling, we stayed in 2 different rooms and both looked very used.

My stay was wonderful! I had only one night in Barcelona--had traveled from another area of Spain to prepare for a flight to the US the next day. Located across the street from a monastery, the location was peaceful, quiet and safe. I appreciated the black-out curtains which allowed me to completely darken the room so I could take a needed nap during the day. Several cafes and tasty restaurants are nearby. I only had a morning in Barcelona before needing to catch a taxi to the airport. However, given the location, I was able to walk to several Gaudi buildings and the Basilica de sangrada familia. I walked for 2.5 hours seeing the sights and made my way back in time to take full advantage of the wonderful brunch buffet. The staff were all wonderfully helpful. It was a lovely stay and I would return (perhaps this time for longer and for a holiday).

We found the property very clean snd the staff everyone was very helpful snd informative , the breakfast was very well taught out something for everyone . The pool was an added bonus and clean . The staff made this hotel a very good stay , at first we taught maybe it was a bit far out , but this turned out to be a very good thing . The area is very interesting and beautiful easy to explore and it felt very safe , even the people of the area was so friendly and helpful , becsuse this our first stay , we were told thst people in Barcelona were not friendly but we did not find that , the only thing we did find a bit surprising was thst done staff st dome stations did not know how to get to montserrat to the church if the black modanna, we found that a bit surprising as it’s one of the most beautiful places in Barcelona and the should be able to inform us how to get the train R5 our hotel told us the correct train no but it was a bit difficult on the metro as they did not know which station and sent ud to 3 different ones ,we only found it because a very kind passenger came with us and pointed out which dude snd which stop. We felt thst this should be very high on the tourist trail .

Hotel was just outside the city centre however quick Metro ride to the centre. Although modern with spa-like facilities, the room we had was a bit dirty. Not enough bath towels and no conditioner just shampoo. One of the bath towels was dirty. Breakfast was good and underground parking for a fee available.

The hotel was really nice and staff were very friendly. Our hotel room was slightly broken so we had a lot of trouble unlocking the door which was an issue but the staff did their best. We also found false nails in the bathroom that must have been left over from the previous guests which wasn’t nice but we didn’t raise it with the reception staff as they have nothing to do with the cleaning of the rooms and we didn’t want to cause any hassle so we just put the nails in the bin and it wasn’t an issue after the first day we found them.

Although the property was fairly far out from Barcelona centre, the staff at the hotel were absolutely brilliant with their knowledge of the transportation! The T-10 was a lifesaver and it is unlikely we would have found out about this if it wasn't for the great receptionists who also provided us with maps and written directions. There are lovely places to eat nearby, plenty of bus stops and a close metro/train station. Taxi drivers will probably need you to have the hotel address written down as it seemed many would not know where it is otherwise.
The hotel looks just like the pictures and did not disappoint! The wifi was slow at times but all other aspects were great. I could not fault the facilities or the staff and I would recommend this hotel to those who do not mind travelling that bit further.

Great hotel....except no kettle

Eurostar’s Angli is clean friendly and nice...modern and well run. Would to recommend it...be aware that breakfast is the only meal on offer except they have a room service menu that comes in from outside. My only beef is that there are no kettles supplied in the rooms so you can’t make coffee or tea which was a major blow to me though reception was very helpful in providing a jug of hot water...eception were particularly helpful with all queries especially Claudia.

Nice place but quite far from the city center, or main tourism spots. The room condition was large, clean, great to stay. but I stayed 1st floor which of view was terrible. I enjoyed a peaceful atmosphere, a nice outdoor pool. breakfast was cheap and good enough. I love to stay there for 2 nights.

Great place, very nice room and bathroom, the hotel is on an incline and it’s a 10 minute walk from the closest subway station. From the hotel to the airport it’s almost 40 euros for the trip and they charge per bag, We had 3 bags. From the hotel to the airport it’s a 10 minute car ride without traffic. Overall it was good, wished I could’ve stayed longer and the walk from the hotel to Camp Nou is 20-30 minutes.

Lovely modern hotel in a quiet area.

Stayed at this hotel for the Moto GP. Its out off the husle of the city but it takes 20 mins on the under ground which is 5 minutes walk away. The staff were polite and very helpful if a bit under staffed. The rooms are clean and modern and the surrounding area is nice and peaceful with nice views of the hills to the back of Barcelona. I would recommend this hotel and will use this place again.

We went for our Anniversary. The hotel was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It did not have direct room service, but they partner with a local restaurant to provide food and bring it to your room. Cost was automatically included on the bill. The pool was not heated, but the terrace area was great to relax. The breakfast spread was great with coffee and juice options, fresh Spanish cheeses and meats, and pastries. Wifi was not the best in our room, but better in the lobby.

Such a lovely modern hotel in a prime location

This hotel blew me an my partners expectations. Its something off grand designs. The room was very very clean and was a great size.

The only disappointment I would say we would have preferred a kettle and tea's and coffee in the room. The other disappointment we had was in regards of the shower, the first night we arrived I tried to have a shower and the plug was taking a very long time taking the water down, I called front desk and showed them and they advised they shall sort it first thing tomorrow and offered us a room change, but as it was late and we had unpacked we generally couldn't be bothered. The next day we used the sower though the water was taking forever to go down and we went on with our day exploring Barcelona. When we got back and took a shower again the shower was still not fixed. This was very disappointing for such a lovely establishment it really let it down.

Other than that the location is very close to the metro and bus services. Where the hotel is situated is very quite and extremely beautiful.

Quiet neighborhood, out of the way of the tourists

We chose this hotel based on a recommendation from a family member who lives not too far away. We had just come from Pamplona and needed to rest. We appreciated the quietness but were just a cheap taxi ride away from wherever we wanted to go. It is a clean, modern hotel and offers a decent breakfast. I didn't see the pool but know they have one. If you want to walk to restaurants and the tourist areas, this is not the hotel for you. If you appreciate the quiet, safe neighborhood setting, this is a good place.

The staff was very helpful and spoke English which made it easy for us. The pool was relaxing and the hotel was close to restaraunt sand away from the busiest city/tourist areas. I would stay again.

Faux Furniture, Faux Pictures and poor service.

The hotel sells itself as four stars, i was there for a conference so there was not much i availability. The room was worn, all the chairs and other furniture with the faux leather was cracked and worn to a state of despair. There is no A/C eve though the young lady at the front desk said she would \"reset it\" it did not work. The phone was like a toy phone. The marble in the bathroom was stained beyond repair. I would never stay there again, don't believe the pictures.

Have stayed at this hotel various times. Like the look of it, and appreciate that it is in a great neighborhood, far from the crowds. CHeck in was very late, and the room we were given wasn't ready. We went to another room, and there were various flaws (curtains, shower, mirrors, reading light). Changed room the next night, and the staff offered a box of chocolates for our trouble. Not sure I'll stay there again. Too many low priced quality options now in Barna.

Style over substance but friendly staff

The hotel was a little disappointing. The true cost of the breakfast only became apparent when we we're checking out and was higher than we believed it to be - advertised as €6.00. We weren't given a double bed but two singles put together. Also there was no kettle in the room which I'm surprised considering how much we spent. However we found the staff very friendly and helpful.

If you enjoy peace and quiet, this is your hotel. Very nice, modern, great staff, but a bit far from everything. I had to walk like 10 blocks for the subway. 3 or 4 blocks away from a coffee shop or a restaurant. Had a couple of troubles with the AC/Heater, it's not controlled directly in the room but in the reception, so you have to call when is too hot or vice versa. Other than that is a good hotel. I'd recommend it for a pleasant night of rest.

The hotel was in a residential area with about one-two restaurants nearby. The location isn't bad but it's not a convenient walk from the metro station with bags and suitcases because it is uphill. The staff was really friendly. But the rooms smell like smoke, there were cup marks on the tables, and there was still a soap bar in the shower from the previous people. Since everything in this hotel is \"modern\" the curtains are controlled electronically. However, our curtains were broken and wouldn't raise leaving us in a dark room. We told the front desk and maintenance about the curtains but they were never fixed so we stayed in a dark room the entire stay. i would NOT suggest this hotel.

You need to know that this hotel is not near the centre. Even the taxi driver was concerned about that as he drove me there. It was where I wanted to be as I was attending meetings nearby and the neighbourhood is elegant and felt safe. The metro is 5 mins away to get into town.Everything was comfortable about the stay apart from the soundproofing of the bedrooms. You hear other guests talking in the corridor and opening their doors rather easily

Stylish and sophisticated- ideal for couples!

A lovely, small hotel in a quiet town location. Easy access to the centre of Barcelona, and a pleasant place to return to!

Only downside for me was the lack of a bar/ area to relax aside from the restaurant or outdoor pool- however, we really enjoyed our stay and the staff are absolutely excellent!

More advantages than disadvantages for the tourist

The location for tourists is not ideal since it is some distance north of the city center. However, the Sarria metro station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and the metro trip is another 10-15 minutes to Plaza Catalunya (the top of the Ramblas). If you plan to use the metro, get a map before you arrive! We found the metro more confusing than that in Madrid. If you arrive by plane, there is the Aerobus from the airport to Plaza Catalunya. From there, take the L6 to Sarria. Taxis are also plentiful and cheap in the center center and near the hotel (on nearby Augustus).
Because it is residential, the location is much quieter residential area and there are some nearby cafes. The staff was among the most helpful during our trip to Spain, speaking English, and the room was comfortable. Because of the location and ambiance, the hotel seemed more appropriate for business travelers. However, due to the ease with the metro of getting to the city center, I recommend this hotel for tourists.

The hotel staff are brilliant, couldnt be more helpful, the hotel itself is clean and tidy but some of the items in our room where a bit tatty, like the full length mirror in our room had a crack at the bottom , the same in my sons room,also the chairs in the rooms are a little worn, but overall the rooms are clean and tidy and these things wouldnt put us off staying at the hotel again..

We just stayed at Angli. The hotel is ok, 500 meters from a subway station (Sarria) and has a very good bakery in a away to it.
We were unlucky with the room. First the wifi did not work at all inside the room only outside. On the second night the door would not open and the staff could not fix it during my 3 days stay. On the last night the air conditioning did not work!
The staff was not able to fix the problem during my visit. They should at least have given my wife and I a free breakfast but this will be thinking too canadian!

Nice modern 'business' hotel. Nice neighbourhood, if you want quiet and need to be in that area. The only reason we booked was because the apartment rental we had arranged fell through. We got the hotel last minute during busy La Merce festival time.
Not very convenient if you want to be a busy tourist and/or stay out late in the hip areas of Barcelona. It was a 10 minute incline walk to and from the nearest metro station that was just a local line and didn't operate very late. It was a 10-15 min walk to the Bus Touristic stop which is good for sightseeing.
Overall, decent hotel, but if you want to be by the beach or in the center of the action, choose elsewhere.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Hotel should rated at 3 star most not 4 star.
If that's your first time visit Barcelona, that is the bad location for you, nothing around hotel, far from the city center, even every taxi driver we had who had to look their map book to find the hotel street. The bed is so hard, the restroom is very small,
We will not stay that hotel again!

Best hotel I have ever stayed in

I and my boyfriend stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and we couldnt recommend it enough! My boyfriend had stayed in the hotel in 2007 and loved it so much he insisted we stayed here- and im glad he did!
The location was wonderful, in a quiet area only 15 minutes away from La Rambla on the underground! The locals were very friendly and there are many bakerys and supermarkets around- there's a very traditional feel to the area. The hotel is very modern and stylish and staff are excellent! The room service was great and very well priced! Although we didn't dine in the resaurant the a la carte menu looks fantastic and again well priced! The rooms exceeded my expectations with electric blinds, jet showers, very comfy massive beds a huge window! It was great! There is also a safe in the room which came in very handy.
my only criticisms (which may bother some) was the bar was located in the foyay and the pool only had sunlight mid day, however this did not effect us at all as we're not ones to sit by the pool- or the bar!
I would really recommend this hotel if your looking for a quiter area and want to see the traditional side of barcelona.

I couldn't stop taking photos. It's like an artist dream and the staff were so courteous and professional. I took so many photos but they really didn't do the room justice. The shower was almost a religious experience with additional water jets in the wall and the water pressure was fabulous. They didn't give me a face cloth either so I'm starting to think it's a European thing because they had so many extras like a shoe horn and comb. Those items are not standard fare.

It is located about four blocks from the train station and a mere 10 minute train ride(about 1,2 euros) to Las Ramblas the mile long blvd that ends at the Mediterranean Sea. You can also get to the Gothic square, Cathedral de Barcelona and many other must do touristy areas from 1,2 euro investment.

My room came with free breakfast and it was beautifully presented and looked delicious. I don?t usually eat breakfast but they offered different types of meat including prosciutto, sausage, cheeses like brie, fresh squeezed orange juice and of course eggs and several breads.

I wanted to extend my stay but the cost of to change the tickets was too expensive and would have completely negated my original awesome deal. I?m already planning my next trip to Barcelona and I?m not sure if it?ll be May 2010 or June but I know exactly where I will be staying.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr angenehm. Das Zimmer, vor allem das Bad, hätten etwas sauberer sein / gemacht werden können. Die Frühstücksauswahl war in Ordnung, hätte etwas umfangreicher sein können. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Sehr schöne Gegend zum erkunden und die U-Bahnstation Sarria waren knapp 10 min zu Fuß erreichbar.
