The hotel was good, room nice and big and clean. However we were woken up on first morning at 7:30am by extremely loud banging noises. Rang reception to find out the restaurant was having renovation work done that day. There was no-pre warning of this on booking site or when we checked in. We were offered a room change, but as we were only there for two nights there was no point. It was really unfortunate that it happened and woke us up way before we needed to be up.

The cleaner did not change the sheets or towels every day.

I am certain of this because there was a small stain from my suitcase on the sheet. The next day, when I returned to the room, the sheets had been flipped over, and I could clearly see the same suitcase stain on the other side.

The bath towel had been neatly folded and placed straight, which made it appear as if it had been replaced. However, it had a strong unpleasant odor and was clearly not freshly washed.

My friend, who stayed in a different room at your hotel during the same dates, also noticed that the sheets and towels were not changed daily.

We are not sure whether this is your hotel’s policy or not, but this was the first time we experienced sheets and towels not being changed every day — especially since we left a tip each morning for housekeeping.

Because of the careless way the room was cleaned, we became very concerned about whether our belongings inside our suitcase were safe and whether our privacy had been properly respected.

I understand that the hotel was fully booked due to a group stay and that the staff may have been very busy. However, we expected at least a basic standard of service.

We believe this may have involved the housekeeping staff assigned on the mornings of February 17th and 19th.

The hotel is old and dated with paint falling off the walls. It is clear that the hotel is not very well maintained. In the room , stains were present on the wall and the handle to open the window was broken. In the elevator, the walls were scratched and the floor was very dirty.

The hallways to the rooms had a strange smell of sewer with little to no ventilation present in the hallway. The construction was strange and the finishes present in the room and hallway were cheap. I was expecting something higher quality consistent with the quality of an NH collection level hotel given the higher cost I paid.

Despite this, the staff were very nice and helpful at all times.

A lovely stay!

My family and I stayed at NH Constanza at the end of August and had a lovely time. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Yasin was helpful in directing us to the car park and helping us with our luggage to our room. His service was excellent! Thank you Yasin! Also we would like to say a huge thank you to Pol who was so welcoming and super helpful. He helped us with our queries and went above and beyond! :-)

The room we had was clean and the service from house keeping was wonderful. A free 30 minute spa session was included in our stay everyday which was fantastic. We loved using the sauna and pool. The spa also offered facials and massages at an additional cost which was nice to have on offer. The hotel also has a small gym and a rooftop pool.

Next door to the hotel is a mall with shops such as Cortefiel, Primark, Parfois and many more.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

Although far from the center of town, this hotel have a wonderful quiet reprieve from the madness of Barcelona in August. I took public transportation everywhere, buses and metro nearby and very easy to use. The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was large and quiet, only thing the bathroom needed a little redo, but besides that I am so happy with my choice to stay here!!

Our experience at this hotel has been absolutely unacceptable from the very beginning. We arrived a few hours early, exhausted from our journey, hoping we might be able to check in if a room was ready. Reception took our number and said they’d contact us if anything became available. We never heard back.

Assuming things would be ready by the official 3pm check-in, we returned just after that time. To our surprise, the room still wasn’t ready because the previous guest hadn't left on time. Instead of taking accountability or offering a sincere apology, the receptionist quickly handed us vouchers for alcoholic drinks (one of us doesn’t even drink), told us to wait in the bar for 20 minutes, and brushed us off without checking if this was acceptable.

Feeling ignored, I returned the vouchers to the front desk and asked for a more appropriate resolution—such as a partial discount—for the inconvenience. This request was completely dismissed. Only then, after I pushed back, did the receptionist “magically” find a room for us. Still no apology. No empathy. No professionalism.

To make matters worse, while I was at reception, the bar staff gave my friend a drink using the voucher. When I returned, the bartender rudely demanded we hand her the voucher—even though I had already returned it. She told me to go back and get it from reception. It was humiliating, so we left the untouched drink and walked away. The way we were spoken to made it clear we weren’t being respected.

The rooms were large, especially for Europe, and the decor was fine inside the rooms. The hallways were filthy and dilapidated, the lobby was very outdated, the decor of the bar/hotel restaurant was totally 1980s and the staff was… Friendly is not the word that I would use… More like they tolerated us and pretended to be nice. The swimming pool was full of locals, who apparently knew someone who worked there because I felt like I was in a pre-party to a nightclub and it was completely packed. I had a massage in the spa and the lady was really nice, but didn’t know how to do anything beyond a Swedish massage and I was having neck and back problems and really needed someone’s help. The little banquet Café across the street was lovely and having taxis at our back and call across the street were fantastic but the location was pretty remote and I don’t think I would stay there again. oh and I am 99% sure I got double charged for the Barcelona tax. I paid it when I checked in and they also charged me again when I checked out.

The location was perfect, and the room condition was absolutely top-notch.
What made our stay even more special was the incredible service, truly above and beyond.
As we were on our honeymoon, the complimentary wine was such a thoughtful touch and deeply appreciated.

Unfortunately, I booked through Expedia at more than triple the price for a hotel rated over 5 stars. The price match guarantee felt like a joke. The room we received was not the one promised by the hotel, and there were many hidden city tax fees. As a regular Trafalgar traveler, I cannot recommend Expedia or this hotel. You will not get value that matches the amount of money spent.

This hotel isn’t near the city center and it takes a good 30-40 mins to walk there! As a NH collection hotel was absolutely horrible! Hot at night where the AC didn’t work, super nosy at night and very average rooms . Not my first hotel I would recommend!

I believe this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are exceptionally clean and spacious, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and kind. The location is perfect—within walking distance of a shopping center and well-connected by public transportation.
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting

Get the premium room, not superior if you want spa

The stay was good and standard.

The thing that wasn’t explained to me on the booking page was the superior room is not better than the premium room even though it cost more. You do not get spa access with the superior room. But you do with a premium room.

You don’t have to pay the public price to use this 35 euros.

The location is okay, but not the easiest for public transport.

4 star without the 4th star

4 star hotel without a spa (no specific reason given on paper) even though they had one. Second, no air conditioning for the first night. The staff at night said they would put a note in about then in the morning around 11AM spoke with morning staff about it and said they would bring a guy to look at it. However, again, night staff confirmed that it would need to be replaced or they would move me, he said. That didnt happen. Instead they got someone to look at it and then eventually fixed the thermostat. (Replaced it) Third, the internet on the second floor, specifically my room. Went through the service at the hotel and their internet customer service on the phone. Both thought I had limited knowledge on how internet works which was frustating. Most of the staff was great and friendly and understanding. However one staff appeared to be a little less friendly or something was off about her. Lastly, not a huge deal but towel was either burnt or not cleaned properly and the shower flopr needs to be cleaned or replaced. I usually do not ask stuff in return for subpar experience so, I will not ask. I should not have to. It c

The room was elegant and very well equipped with all the essentials. Extra toothbrush, coffee/hot water machine, and useful items you need but don’t usually pack such as a shoe horn, cork screw, bottle opener, etc. king size bed was very spacious and comfortable, as were the pillows. The area was very nice and the proximity to restaurants and shopping was ideal. Staff was very courteous at all times of the day and night.

Need improvement on customer care

Arrived early at the hotel so decided to let my check in prepared for when the room as available.
Handled my EU ID and my wife the passport. So then the staff kindly asked my passport too. No issues there and the staff was really kind.
Upon our return in the afternoon to pick the key, another staff member named T**** or similar (male with the starting with T) took over our booking and actually started to tell me that my booking had a lot of entries because I WANTED to give different documents. I explained that I handled my ID and the staff requested my passport, and whatever they did with my information was not actually my problem... so he continued, in a very rude way, to tell us that we messed my registration in the hotel and because of that now my file has many entries... and amazingly did not matter to tell him that I had no idea what he was talking about as I don't work behind the desk and was actually NH hotel who did my registration.
So a not very good experience on this end... however, all other employees were really nice and kind.

Good hotel in the center of Barcelona. Close to everything. We had a regular room. Big king size bed. Standard size room: not big, not small. Very clean. And very quiet - I heard nothing from adjacent rooms or from outside - which is unusual to find in Spain. The exterior windows were weird - brutalist architectural style - small and didn’t really open. The gym for the entire (large) hotel was tiny. Excellent customer service.

I booked for me and my son. My son invited his gf. They told me I needed to pay extra for the third person. The pic on the booking was different, the room's too small. They insisted the law required 3 beds if there were 3 persons, so complicated after you landed and you're tired it was for me a little too much. I traveled a lot and i always booked the same a room two persons and I can invited. What about when single people are traveling so they cannot invite anyone. Not emphaty.
