Modern, nicely equipped hotel in central Barcelona with some thoughtful design touches. Rooms were nice-sized and clean. WiFi was solid (great for business travelers). Staff was friendly. Only a 15 minute walk from Sants station. Just a little wear and tear (shower heads, furniture) here and there that could use some TLC.

Pro-tip : Be sure to ask to have the comforter added to your bed - because sleeping with just a thin sheet to cover you up at night is no fun. It was the key to a really nice night’s sleep.

Overall, a great hotel that ticks all the right boxes…and at a reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

We had a very large and comfortable room with a sofa bed. The staff is friendly. It’s only missing a ramp for luggage at the main entrance to avoid having to carry everything down the stairs. A direct access to the parking would be great as well.

Good location out of the crowded tourist areas, but close enough to walk most places.
Nice huge king bed. Good television, but not many channels for English speakers.
Room cleaning service was very good.
But the leaky shower glass lets water accummulate in the bath floor too much. Couldn't readily switch to soak in tub since there was no stopper present.

We were a bit disappointed about this hotel which doesn’t deserve a 4 stars hotel.
It is really outdated, they were many signs of water damage over the ceiling and around the shower. The AC was’nt working properly, not convenient in the middle of am heatwave, and was also making a unpleasant sound.
On a positive note, I have nothing to say about the staff who was very nice and did their best.

Front desk was extremely nice and pleasant. Hotel was clean and appeared well maintained. As an American, the Air conditioning was a bit warm, but for most travelers I think it was adequate. I did not purchase the breakfast option, but was told it was very good with the variety and quality of the food. Location was perfect for getting around Barcelona, whether walking or getting ride share.

Staff all super friendly and helpful.
Rooftop was clean and enough space when we wanted to use it. Wifi fast enough to work from the hotel with big desk space and good chair. Bed was huge and nice linens. Shower so powerful and good temp. We didn't try the breakfast as it was being provided at work event but it looked like a good spread of fresh food when passing.
Gym modern and clean. Left luggage facility and check out at 12pm as standard were great for last day.

Coffee machine was in lobby with disposable cups rather than reusable cups in room facility but really nice espresso from it. The rooms all centre around a courtyard with a lift in the middle and it makes a loud noise when closing, disruptive at night but blocked out once I used earplugs.

As a 4-star hotel, I didn’t expect the room to be cramped for 3 people. You literally cannot go anywhere in the room besides your bed and bathroom. The bathroom sink leaks under and was not fixed even after asking them. It is also very warm in the bathroom and found out that their mirror is heated! There’s also a big condensation problem from the air conditioning that made our room soak in disgusting leaks. The room also is uncomfortably warm for a warm weather outside. Good thing we brought a portable fan with us that made it bearable. The stay feels more like a 2-star hotel. Will not come back anymore. I’d give 2 stars for a good coffee at the lobby and friendly staff. Although when we told them about our room problems, there was really no offer to make it better with us. We stayed a total of 5-nights. It’s not fun going back to the hotel.

The room door has long-term issues. Every day, I have to go to the counter to handle it, and after resolving it, I still need to try many times to get the door open. The air conditioning is insufficient. Additionally, I need to re-register every day to use the WiFi, which is very inconvenient for elderly people. And swimming pool is too small, even the children are not interested in swimming

Unfortunatley the hotel did not live up to expectation. The safe broke the day we got there. The fridge had not been cleaned and one of the shelves inside was also broken. We ended up in an adjoining room, that we had not requested, that only seemed to have a locked door to separate each room. All we could hear when we were in the room was the family of kids running around next door. For a 4 star hotel this was disappointment.

The Sercotel Aminster is a great place for a short stay, or even a little longer. We had 5 niggrs here with breakfast and it was a perfect base for us, away from the histle of the center of the city, but close enough to access everything we wanted. The hotel is clean and generally well maintained. Our room was getting a little tired and in need of some maintenance, but as soon as we mentioned this, the staff were very happy to help.

The breakfast buffet is plentiful, fresh and tasty, we would highly recommend you book this in advance, but you can also purchase daily 9f you require.

This is our second visit here and on our return to Barcelona again, we will book this hotel again.

The hotel was nice, but a bit far from most of the things we wanted to do. The hotel staff was very good, and the room was very clean. The daily breakfast was awesome ! Our only complaint (not the fault of the hotel) was that there was a music festival taking place that weekend a block away and the music was incredibly loud until 2:00am. This made for 2 very difficult days for tours after getting 4 hours of sleep each night. I would not stay at this hotel again, unless we knew there was no music festival taking place over the weekend.

Room was ok, kind of small, but ok for a couple.
Pool was VERY small, not a swimming pool.
Breakfast was very pricey for what you get. They had the same thing everyday.
The City noise was VERY loud. Friday and Saturday night there was a band playing in the street until after 2am. There was no sleeping until 3 or 4 am. Crazy for most of us. Even the inside of the hotel was loud during the night with people coming in and slamming doors.
We made the best of it. It wasn’t the worst. I do like the coffee in the lobby, and again, staff was very friendly and helpful.

Sercotel Amister is located in a residential area and away from the hustle. It is still quite convenient with many local restaurants, shops and Mercat del Ninot around the area. The room's were quite bright and spacious. Apart from the noisy AC unit we don't have any complains.

Accommodating for breakfast for my daughter who is gluten intolerant (we let them know in advance). Buffet breakfast adequate for setting up for the day. Free water can be obtained from.the gym. Staff helpful with directions, getting taxis etc (although then realised a taxi rank right outside). Plenty of great eateries within a 10/15 min walk.

Decent hotel in need of revamp

Rooms were very run down, handles were falling off bathroom door, lights didn't work and the switches were broken. Bed was large and had good pillows but duvet cover kept falling off which is a bit gross. Air-con was okay but when not on the room was very hot and musty. Overall the rooms need a redo.

Hotel location is okay, not far away but not really near anything, ten minute walk to two different Metro stations. Big construction going on next to the hotel, when the windows were closed it couldn't be heard but that meant the room was very stuffy.

Everything about this place was top tier.

Room was amazing. Spacious, always kept clean with fresh sheets and towels replaced daily.

Bathroom was big too with lots of room. Appreciated the fridge so I could keep my drinks cold.

Location is amazing. Right in the centre of Barcelona. Most things can be reached within walking distance or Metro/Bus are a few minutes away.

Only problem I had was with the gym. It's hardly a gym. Just a room with gym equipment in. I think a lot more enthusiasm needs to be pushed into refurbishment and upgrading of the current "Gym" facilities. I have more equipment at home lol.

Other than this, would definitely stay here again.

Decent hotel ideally suited for touring Barcelona (to be honest public transport is so good no matter where you stay would be ideal). Family room had plenty of space, lovely and modern with decent bathroom. Room was cleaned and towels changed daily. Front door had code to get in at all times which felt secure. Plenty of supermarkets, sandwich shops and restaurants (and pharmacy) with a couple of minutes. Short walk to nearest bus stops and metro, can get almost anywhere within 15-20 mins. Breakfast was small but decent selection of pastries, cereal, cold meats and cheese, cooked bacon and egg, plus fresh fruit and yogurt. Very happy with this hotel, no issues.
