Room is clean, staff is very friendly, the location is very convenient to either walk or take metro to the main tourist attraction spots. The hotel offers a decent breakfast at a fee which is very handy. The hotel is particularly close to an airport shuttle bus station in the city center, so for new visitors to Barcelona is extremely helpful to manage the transportation between airport and central city area. Just make sure you choose a room that can have a better view. The cheaper rate usually get your window staring at an inner well space that almost gives you no day light.

Room is nice and bed is big, but the HDMI ports on the TV are locked, making it useless. The maids are very noisy and woke me up each day shouting to each other between rooms, and the reception staff despite being friendly can't help with much, particularly at night and there's only one of them on shift the queue can be time consuming. Location is great, and bed is comfy, but it's more of a 'self service' place than the price point would suggest. Average, and not really worth the price paid.

The room was clean but without working air conditioning. Maintenance came to fix it but it made a loud noise all night. Dated building.
Location is great, staff are friendly and they accommodated our luggage with our early arrival.

Very unique hotel. Amazing rooftop pool. But the bathroom layout is very odd. The water from the shower sprays on the toilet. There is no privacy in the bathroom as the mirror is see through to the bed. Cool if you want to party and are very open with your travel partner! The staff was great for the most part. I had a few maintenance issues in the room that were fixed immediately. But when we wanted to get breakfast at 10:58 we were denied. That was very irritating since they spent the next 10 minutes putting the food away

The staff was great, breakfast was top notch, and I liked my room, but a lot of straight people were staying there; too many women hanging out at the pool. I wanted to be at a gay property on my vacation. Straight people have endless options for hotels in Barcelona, so I don't know why they feel they gave to stay at a gay property.)

One issue: the air conditioning in my room was causing a leak from the ceiling for a couple of nights, but staff eventually fixed it.

Stay in room 10, which is the standard ground floor. Has basic amenities but still nice with mirrors and see through glass surrounding the bathroom area for. Shower drain was a bit slow to drain (hopefully that can be easily fixed). Pool and gym are conveniently located on the roof.

A lovely comfortable stay, it was my birthday so they kindly upgraded our room, wrote a cute message on the mirror, and we ordered a bottle of carva to celebrate.

The room was comfortable with a very large bed, three roof space was nice with comfortable sun loungers, great location and overall we left wanting to visit more from the chain

Overall, it’s a nice hotel — great staff and an amazing location.
But the worst part? Absolutely no privacy in the shower or restroom. The doors are see-through glass, and even the vanity mirror is transparent from the bed 😅
Who thought that was a good idea?! Super awkward and honestly just a terrible design choice.

I always stay here when I am visiting Barcelona alone. The rooms are well appointed but the open concept shower and loo is not ideal if you are sharing the room. I like my privacy. I know they were supposed to create a sense of spaciousness with a modern aesthetics but i don’t find it appropriate for two people sharing. Reason why I only stay here when travelling alone.
Great area and the rooftop pool is charming and quiet most of the time.

Breakfast is really bad as far as I am concerned. It could be of a much better quality. I was v disappointed and won’t try it again. Plenty of local cafes and patisseries around for a deliciously fresh breakfast.
The team are friendly and always smiling.
I will return for sure but alone !!

Decent area and close to a lot of things. Metro was at the end of the block with a bus line near, so it made traveling easy. Things that were not so great is the pool area. Could use some updating as well as some shady spots when the sun is at its peak. There’s no reprieve from it during the day. Cute space and has potential, but that’s a bit drawback. Staff on the first stay were very friendly and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Building is in a convenient location and is well kept. Stayed 2 nights after my cruise. 15 minutes by taxi from the port area, and about 25 minutes by taxi to the airport. Single bed was very narrow and was neither comfortable or uncomfortable (for me). Room had a nice single-use instant coffee/tea maker which was nice. Shower was great, but no bar soap or washcloths. Rooftop pool and deck area was very nice, but needs more shade and seating options. The sun was almost unbearable up there. Bar was extremely limited on drinks and closed early (I think it was 7pm). Seating was so limited that people would turn around and immediately leave. Very eclectic group of guests from all around the world which I enjoyed. I would absolutely stay there again.

Really enjoyed staying in this little hotel. I was in town for a conference and this location was very close to it and I had a great rate as well, on top of which I was given an upgrade. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooftop pool is a nice place to hang out during free time. My room was beautiful, modern, and spotless. Would definitely stay again. I did get over to the larger Axel hotel one night to go to their rooftop bar. I found it to be lovely but rather noisy. Axel TWO was smaller, quieter, and more relaxing. Nice experience!

The check-in process was seamless and welcoming. The front desk staff were warm, professional, and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. I was offered a welcome drink and helpful recommendations about nearby attractions and restaurants.

My room was immaculately clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with plush bedding, modern amenities, and a stunning view. The housekeeping staff maintained everything perfectly throughout my stay, and I appreciated the little touches, like nightly turndown service and complimentary bottled water.
The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to major sights while remaining a quiet, restful retreat at the end of the day. I also took advantage of the fitness center and spa, both of which were spotless and well-equipped. Thank you for a wonderful stay

It’s not great. Front desk staff very friendly and good service. The rest of the service leaves much to be desired.

The rooftop pool area is dirty understaffed and under services. The bartender is clearly new so taking that into consideration it blew my mind that no one came to help him or that he didn’t feel like he could ask for help I don’t know.

The rooms are tired due for revamp my guess would be they haven’t been updated since they opened in 2015.

The design of the rooms also not great. Over rated over priced, a lot of other nicer options in the area.

It was alright until we decided to go down for a breakfast one day where the server was very rude and looked at us like something on his shoe. It kinda ruined the whole experience for us. We ate and rushed out as we both felt uncomfortable. Reported it to management but of course nothing happened. Never again.

I’ve stayed here every time I’m in Barcelona over the past few years. The reception staff was always warm and welcoming, creating a really pleasant atmosphere. This time, while everything was fine overall, the vibe felt noticeably different- more technical and distant than before.. Would love to see that warm, personal touch return.

The rooms have some interesting features but this can be unhelpful. No actual mirror at the basin makes shaving safely and easily an impossibility. WiFi was patchy in my room at the corner of the property. Towels are very soft and fluffy. TV only has Spanish channels, that’s ok, but has a standby light so bright I had to use a jacket to cover it up.

To start with, it took about an hour to check in. Long queue and only one receptionist. Then the room they gave us was stinking tobacco. We requested another room, and after a bit of discussion, the receptionist gave us the non smoking room available, which was a downgrade from our booking but we could not get a refund for the price difference.
The room was OK. A few holes in the bed sheets but other than that, it was clean. It terribly lacks space where to put your cloths etc but if you're going for one night or two, I guess that's ok.
The pool /sundeck area is nice, although the bar was closed (on a weekend in May), so there was no way to get drinks, not even water...).

A Shangri-La price for an upscale Holiday Inn. The kettle in the room was leaking, water costs an arm and the hotel doesn’t have tissues.

The housekeeping doesn’t refill soap. It’s money for everything at the place but it is a cute looking hotel.

The entire front desk staff including the managers need to go to a training for customer service. They hardly smile and they have new trainees that they cannot handle even small stuff. The single room that I had was opening to a concrete wall and it was so small and claustrophobic. The manager offered me a free breakfast and the receptionist was trying to eliminate it on the day of check out. The hotel location is really great but one needs to look at other options before reserving a room here. The guy serving breakfast looks so unhappy and unfriendly. Why do you stay in a job that you don’t like? I had noise issues from the ceiling and the phone was not working. The only nice staff was the maintenance guy and he was very professional. He fixed the problems. The cleaning standards are not very high. Overall very disappointed and never again.

This is my third time staying at this property and it’s already showing its age. The room was extremely hot in the winter. I had to sleep with windows opened. Also you hear a lot of noises, people taking showers, flushing toilets. Overall it’s a great stay and the staff is extremely courteous

The location was very convenient. We were greeted by a very friendly female staff member who accommodated us with an earlier check-in. The room was clean and served our purpose. The breakfast was pretty bad but the service was good. The electric in the gym didn’t work most of the people so the treadmill and lights didn’t work. Otherwise, it was pretty quiet in that area and close to the airport bus. The male staff members were not as welcoming except for the day we checked out. Don’t expect luxury and buy your own breakfast and it’s a good place to stay.

The room is very clean and modern however, without a closet there is no room to place two suitcases except for maybe under the bed. With a short two night stay, we did not unpack but if we had, there is no dresser drawer space or actual closet. Just hanging space beside the bathroom sink.

Nada especial más allá de lo normal, algunas deficiencias en la habitación como control remoto de la tele que no servía, fuimos a cambiarlo por otro y el siguiente no sirvió tampoco, el chico de la recepción tuvo que desconectar el TV hasta que al próximo día pudieron conseguir un remoto válido. Dos luces fundidas en el cuarto, problema también resuelto al siguiente día después de ser reportando. El precio del desayuno es caro. Por lo demás, es un hotel limpio, buen olor, una piscina chula en el último piso, gimnasio y vapor.

My husband and I stayed at this locations for 4 nights, we enjoyed the location and service provided. We were able to enjoy the rooftop pool one day outside of our daily sightseeing. The location is very accessible walking to many locations and there is also a metro stop right near the hotel. Would stay again.

I saw this hotel recommended in a magazine (DNA) so I booked it for one night
Roof top swimming pool although shallow was brilliant and so was the small but excellent roof top gym

Awesome modern architecture set amongst more traditional buildings but in a stunning practical location

I intend to book again soon when I’m next in Barcelona
