Good but small room.

The hotel becomes out-dated.. small room. The uncomfortable builtin wardrobe due to the narrow space. A very small bathroom..
But.. the interior room was perfectly soundproof that I could sleep well. That can compensate for the uncomfy room.

The hotel room was tiny and pretty depressing with hardly any natural light. It felt more like a box for storing humans than a room in which to relax. Overall, it felt a bit tacky, as though management was trying to cut costs wherever possible rather than trying to provide a decent experience. Although I’ve marked the hotel as average, it would have got a much lower score if the staff hadn’t been so lovely.

We are usually budget travelers but this was an excellent and relatively affordable choice for our last nights in Barcelona. It is super convenient for Aeroport shuttle bus dropoff; the pickup to go to airport was further away, but still an easy 5-10 minute walk. (There is anlso parking anvailable under the hotel, but I don’t know the particulars.) Also an easy walk to Placa d’Espanya metro stop, though finding the entrances was an adventure. Super helpful and friendly staff. Bathroom was throughly updated and had courtesy toothbrush and razor. All the room amenities you would expect, including a long desk. Outlet on only one side of bed, though. Also, closet was odd but functional: shallow and long, so that clothes hung flat rather than perpendicular. And why why why do hotels seem to think we don’t need towel/clothes hooks in the bathroom? At least there was one by the shower.

I felt that it was very expensive for what we got. The shower was not clean and the rooms were very small. I also didn’t like the location. The images online are very different from the actual hotel. I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking to be in a more centralized location. Way overpriced.

The best is at Hotel Vilamari!

Hotel Vilamari is incredible. I arranged my visit in advance, however, my family was in an airbnb that was terrible and a crisis. I told them to come over to check for possible rooms here. Vilamari was great.They received 2 adjoining rooms immediately. Everyone was kind, patient and helpful. I'd stay here again. I rate A++++!

Very small room, with no access to direct sunlight as the only window was coming out to the inside of the building. Very nice putside var area though.

The airfreshener smell in the reception is way too intense and makes it much less pleasant to stay in.

Pity about the bathroom!

The big draw back in this hotel was the bathroom. It was very small and the only shower was above the bath which was so close to the toilet that I didn’t risk trying to manoeuvre myself in incase I got stuck. There was no suitably placed grab rail either.
When sitting on the toilet my knees were just about under the wash hand basin.

- Staff were very friendly. Cleanliness was good. Convenient location. Nice public areas.

Con:
- Aircon was not working in my room. Rang for assistance, person came and left without explanation. Eventually went to reception desk and only then explained there was nothing they could do about it, and moved me to another room
- Aircon in gym also was not working. I noticed staff and they were able to semi-fix it. Gym is very small. Max free weight is 10kg
- Gym cross-trainer was not working correctly. Staff tried to fix but were unsure.
- First (of 2 elevators) did not go to the 3rd floor. Staff told me later I should take the 2nd elevator if i want to stop at that floor. Other guest explained the button works if you press it really hard.

This was booked by our travel agent as our oringinal flight was cancelled. Conveniently located not too far from the port and airport. The rooms are nice, small but compact and ours even had a bath. There was a lovely terràce outside where we were able to relax until our room was ready which was early so we appreciate that. Dinner that evening was included but unfortunately was a let down. Breakfast the next morning was enjoyable

We had 3 rooms for 6 ppl. A/c didn’t work well in 2 of our rooms. My parents were moved to a different room and it worked much better.
Location is great. Close to hop on/off tour busses. Around the corner from the catalunya national art museum, but also walkable to La Rambla (few miles). Overall good stay at this hotel.

I had stayed for 3 nights, booked by the conference I was attending in Barcelona. I extended my stay and booked an additional night and a late checkout for last day. All these bookings were handled very smoothly and professionally, also offering an upgrade. All members of staff were very helpful and superb throughout - five star rating really. Breakfast is wonderful, plenty of options as well if you are vegetarian:)) Vilamari is also very conveniently located - 3-4 min walk from Placa d’Espanya.

The hotel location was fantastic. Within walking distance to some iconic places, to the metro and to the airbus. Breakfast was adequate. I just had difficulty sleeping the first two nights because the air-conditioning was not working. I informed the front desk and I was given a different room.

Location is excellent and close to stores and restaurants ,5 minutes walk to Plaza Espana,a big shopping center and the train station.Taxi to Placa Catalonya costs 6 euros and 12 euros to FC stadium. Accessible to most tourist attractions.

Close to Espana metro and easy to get to by taxi, bus or metro from the airport (we took a taxi and it was 15 euro). The hotel has a small check in area at an otherwise large lobby. The rooms were large and very clear. The TV had few English language channels but this was not an inconvenience. The area is quite and safe. There was local restuarants and shops nearby

The location cannot be beat. Only a block from Plaza Espana, which is the main transportation hub. The subway system is terrific, the Aerobus stops there, and so do the hop on/hop off buses. There is a great shopping mall in the Plaza (build in a former bull ring) that has whatever you forgot to bring and also some good food. The MNAC museum is an easy walk.

Our room (twin beds by request) was clean and quiet and comfortable. There is a mini fridge with free water bottles. There is a good blackout curtain if you are light sensitive. The shower was fantastic. The neighborhood is very safe. The WiFi was strong.

I will happily stay here again.

Great location. Close to lots of shops,coffee bars and restaurants. 5 min walk to la Espanya metro and also to the hop on hop off Barcelona bus tours.

Staff were excellent- very welcoming and polite. The hotel facilities were very good and it’s a very clean hotel. If I visit Barcelona again I will definitely stay here again.

Terrible hotel quality

This is not 4-star hotel, max 2.5. The rooms are not comfortable and small. What is the worst about this hotel is that it is very loud and you can hear your neighbors talking to late night and even worst you hear people flushing their toilet! Another negative aspect is that whenever I was walking into the room I could smell terrible pong from the toilet as if it was a gutter in my room. Terrible stay, terrible hotel. Not recommending for such price and overrated scores.

Good hotel but stay wasn't that great on this trip

Great hotel but can be a bit noisy from other rooms. Check in assistant was a great help and very friendly. Would have been a great stay if I didn't need to change rooms twice, once due to noisy neighbours (loud music at 3am) and 2nd time room was just not pleasant (avoid room 101).

Very nice hotel situated right around the corner from the Arena De Barcelona (a big shopping mall) and the Art Museum, and just a short walk from the Olympic Village. Major metro station also around the corner (Espanyol), which includes the train stop which takes you to Montserrat (highly recommend).
Hotel itself is very sleek and modern, includes an outside bar with surprisingly cheap drinks, and the rooms include gorgeous bathrooms, air con and a mini fridge.
Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and was very pleased with the experience!
