Very clean and comfortable hotel for the most part. However one huge complaint I have is that the walls are so thin that you can hear EVERYTHING that happens in the neighboring rooms. If you’re lucky enough not to have anyone next to you then the room is fine. Otherwise it’s terrible if you can’t ignore this type of thing.

Surprised at how good this hotel was at the price. The room was bigger and better than I expected, staff so friendly and breakfast was fresh and tasty. Close to transport, but not ideal for tourists that prefer to walk everywhere. I will definitely stay there again.

I highly recommend this hotel; it's in a great location, with excellent bars, coffee shops, and restaurants nearby. If you choose to have breakfast at the hotel, they offer a buffet that's delicious. The staff is fantastic; the whole team is here to help with any questions or needs you may have. It was a great vacation at Hotel Lugano.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They made our stay very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location. It is fairly simple and the rooms are basic but it is comfortable, clean and economical. The bed was comfortable. We parked in the hotel's garage, which was very convenient, for a €25 fee. The front desk staff made me a cup of tea. We will definitely stay there avain when we overnight in Barcelona.

This immaculate, centrally located, modern hotel lies between a wide assortment of sidewalk cafes, tapas bars, convenience stores, a bakery, ATMs, full-service restaurants and more. Every evening, local families, couples and others walk by enjoying the atmosphere and more. A famous square is only 3 blocks away where we enjoyed being a part of a massive celebration culminating in an hour long continous fireworks display at 10pm. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was typical European, featuring everything you would expect, fresh, extensive, appealing, clean and wonderful. We have stayed here before and certainly will again. Also, excellent Internet and a large flat screen with cast capabilities.

Hotel Lugano is a decent place to stay. It's located on a big street within walkable distance to the train and bus as well as many stores and restaurants. The elevator is tiny so bringing large suitcases with more than 2 people at a time could be a challenge. Basic necessities such as facial tissue was scarce or a notepad/paper to write on was no where to be found. There were no hooks to hang anything in the bathroom. When asked for a back up roll of toilet paper, the receptionist said they would deliver to the room, which never happened.

I stayed here last year & loved it so booked again. Great location - just a few minutes from Poble Sec Metro, which is on L3 and goes to Catalunya square, Gracia, Espanya etc

Nice breakfast every day, with nice bread, eggs, fresh fruit & even a nice slice of cake! (and loads more)

This was my second stay at Hotel Lugano. My first visit was very good, which is why I returned—but sadly, this time the experience left a lot to be desired.

I booked the same type of room as before, but as a single occupant I was given a very small single bed, which was uncomfortable and not what I expected. The air conditioning kept switching off and, despite calling room service multiple times, I was repeatedly told to \"close the window\"—even though the window was already shut. Eventually, maintenance discovered that the seal around the window had come loose, which was triggering the AC to turn off. This should’ve been picked up earlier.

On the plus side, the room was clean and when I requested an iron and ironing board, it arrived quickly. However, the ironing board was unusable as it had a large tear in the surface.

The biggest issue was breakfast. As a vegetarian, options were extremely limited—mostly just pastries, which made it feel like eating dessert every morning. Even worse, I found ants crawling on the croissants, and my colleague discovered bugs on the cheese and meats. We reported this to reception and were told it would be addressed, but it certainly put us off eating there again.

While the hotel’s location is excellent, the overall experience this time around was disappointing. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

My niece had consistent spirit attack in the room. There was no kettle to boil water and the hot water from the bar tasted metallic. Front desk staff were not the friendluest. Overall, I'd say avoid this hotel. No value for the money paid.

Good location and value.

This was my second time staying at this hotel. The location is easily accessible from the airport via bus to Plaça d'Espanya, and it is also easily accessible to Sants train station via metro Line 3 (recommend Poble Sec stop). Line 3 also goes to Plaça de Catalunya.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, but they can feel a bit cramped. The staff members were all pleasant and helpful. There was good variety at the breakfast buffet.

Great Stay In Barcelona

The location is great as the area feels safe and has many residents nearby and good restaurants within walking distance as well. The front desk staff was fantastic (I wish I could recall his name) but he guided us to a supermarket for distilled water needed for my CPAP (very necessary).

The only misgiving is that I purposefully booked here due to the laundry facilities on site due to a cruise after several days in Barcelona. That is not quite true, they do indeed do laundry but it is not a laundromat or self serve; instead it is a separate third party service but again, the front desk saved the day by pointing to a laundromat just 2 blocks away!

Overall, we were thrilled and will be back when we next visit Barcelona.

What a total rip off at La Rambla
2 beer 1 Coke and a sangria is a total rip off . I will never ever go back to La Rambla if l am ever in Barcelona.

Hotel was really nice, staff were lovely and helpful, however you can hear everything from other rooms which didn’t really bother us but the safe was broken which wasn’t resolved and made us worry about belongings. Apart from that the hotel was great and fair priced… I would recommend.

The hotel is within walking distance of the hop on/hop off bus and they also offer a discount for the hop on/hop off bus. You can walk to many restaurants as well as the Bull ring shopping mall. The dining options are many. The hotel staff is very knowledgeable about the restaurants in the offer and have great suggestions but explore on your own! Also, they offer Welcome Drivers which is a great option and I used them alot during my stay in Barcelona. My only complaint was my room faced the street and was noisy due to the outside noise.
The room was comfortable and the bed was great!!! They also offer a breakfast buffet which was great but wished they were open for a light lunch or dinner. Overall, really enjoyed staying at the Hotel Lugano.

Our stay at Hotel Lugano was amazing. Dinky, Luis, Miguel and Sandra were super welcoming and provided all kinds of information about buses, trams, subways, restaurants, shopping, tours... On our last night they found my wife and I at a restaurant close by the hotel and told us to come back to the hotel and they had a good bye glass of cava and a little farewell party for us. The room was perfect for us, we spent most of the time out and about in Barcelona so we only slept in the room. Perfect. The staff are incredible. We stayed 9 nights at Hotel Lugano.
