The rooms are tiny, but I expected that. Everything was spotless, the staff were lovely, and the neighborhood is fantastic. It's right across the street from a Mercadona and a few blocks from three metro stations. Plus is has a very cool, Felliniesque elevator that was a treat to ride every time. Is your not does about a small room or it being interior, I highly recommend this little hotel.

When I cam back to my room to sleep, the air was warm and stuffy so I turned on the AC to Vento. The air outside was cool. All I needed was fresh air. But the duvet on the bed, the only option, was so warm I couldn’t sleep. I ended up turning the AC to Cool at 16 C. It was on all night. A cheaper alternative would be to provide a light blanket.

Very small room and the bathroom is one of the worst I've ever seen in all my years in hotels. There literally is no barrier between the shower that doesn't drain and the rest of the tiny bathroom. Just find an apartment hotel for the same price or cheaper. Would not recommend. Only positive is the location but that isn't worth being 5-10 minutes out further.

When I first stayed, guests were offered coffee and a muffin each morning, which was later reduced to just coffee, and now nothing at all. On my most recent two-night stay, my room wasn’t serviced after the first night, and no goodwill gesture was offered to acknowledge this.
Unfortunately, these changes are making me reconsider my options, and I may need to look for alternative accommodation in the area for next year.

Really enjoyed my stay and I will stay here again when we return to Barcelona. It was easy to get to, and a good place to start the day from. There was plenty to eat near by and the nearby Metro stop made moving to all parts of Barcelona easy.

Staff was very nice. Our room was by the elevator, so we were awoken many times by the slamming of the elevator door (it has door which you manually open /close on each floor). Also, breakfast doesn't start until 8, so we were unable to partake.

Magatzem 128 was a great place for a 5 day stay. The room was quite rather compact however was extremely clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you to the ladies who serviced the rooms on a daily basis - very thorough. The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful - very welcoming. The cafe on the ground floor was also a real unexpected positive for me. Easy walk to the metro station less than 5mins away. I would definitely stay here the next time I’m in Barcelona.

It was a super cute area to check into, really accessible and staff was really friendly. I walked for about 7 hours around to see the sites and everything was moderately close that I wanted to see. There were also many shopping and dining options nearby. A mixture of local boutiques and high end stores as well beautiful architecture

Great hotel, minimalist/small rooms, good location, very comfortable beds. However the walls are paper thin. You can hear the conversation happening next door, people in the hallways, upstairs, opening and closing of doors etc.

We really enjoyed our stay in this small and cozy hotel. Nadia, Nhoella and Paul were amazing, very attentive to all our needs and providing us with recommendations and advice. The rooms are small but serve the need to get a great sleep, and are cleaned very well. There is no breakfast but great coffee and tea can be purchased downstairs and we were able to bring fantastic pastries from turris bakery literally across the street. Overall, we enjoyed the area that was less touristy compared to the areas around Catalunya Square as it felt like we experienced more of real Barcelona. We will definitely be back.

I reserved the most basic room and it was totally fine. The only issue is that due to Covid there are absolutely no amenities available. No coffee, no lounge space despite good ventilation (the lounge could be fully opened to the street!), nothing. I’ve stayed at several hotels in Spain and it is certainly possible to be careful and safe but still have some comforts for your guest.

I picked this property because it had a 9.4 guest rating and was recommended by Hotels.com but I honestly think there is a mistake because even if the staff is friendly the room was a shoe box with no furniture, and the walls were so thin you could hear someone taking a shower or sneezing on the same floor. Someone woke me up at 3am knocking on his room door but because of the echo I thought they were knocking on mine.

Perfect place for a weary traveler
The hotel is charming in a very modern sort of way and a nice change of pace from cookie cutter chain hotels. It is located in a very cool area of the city that has a local vibe. The room was clean, quiet and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the temp of the room was easy to adjust. The bathroom was super clean and the shower was awesome. The staff was genuinely helpful, friendly and professional. Everyone spoke English. I had to leave the hotel very early in the morning before the scheduled coffee time so the night clerk who checked me in and left a note for the morning clerk to have the coffee ready early just for me. I was very impressed. The cab ride from the airport is expensive, so consider that in your budget unless you are going to take the bus. There is a nice hotel bar just a half a block away for a late night drink. If I am ever in Barcelona again, and I hope to be because it’s a beautiful city, I will stay here again.

Style over substance
The staff here are lovely and helpful and the hotel is styled beautifully but unfortunately it does feel a little style over substance. Basic fittings like loo roll holders were wobbly, the plug in the sink didn’t work and the shower flooded the floor when used - these were annoying niggles. The rooms are beautiful but basic with no frills - no kettle or fridge and there were only 6 hangers for clothes (with no other storage) - ok for an overnight stay but when staying longer and in a couple, 3 hangers each made storing clothes difficult. The bed was incredibly firm which we found very uncomfortable. We also struggled to sleep because we were in the room behind reception and guests coming in in the middle of the night are not encouraged to be considerately quiet; that combined with minimalistic, industrial design means that a lot of noise echoes around and kept waking us up. Also, we specifically booked a hotel with aircon but were informed that this only works during their summer! Ours was an internal room so there was no way of cooling the room down meaning we also struggled to sleep because we were too hot. In a hotel which is basic but beautiful and the only thing to use the room for is sleep, unfortunately we were unable to do this and it did unfortunately spoil our stay in Barcelona.

I stayed for more than a week and I would recommend this place. First, it's close to Gran Via (a main street) and 2 blocks away from Rocafort metro station, and a bus stop that connects to the airport via the N18 bus, which I took at around 3:30AM, it's also right across from the market, 1 block away from atm, 2 blocks from a cheap gym (20€ for 1 week), close to a 24hr super, and lots of bakeries and shops.
Second, the place is clean and is staffed 24 hrs. They also have a nice coffee station in the morning for breakfast. It's modern without the high price, which I mean, if you're visiting Barcelona, you'd probably be out most of the day. The only caveat is the room didn't have a fridge, which was not really a problem for me. Also I wish they had 1 more hook for the towels in the bathroom.
Otherwise, I'm very satisfied with my stay.
