One of the worse resorts I have ever been to the staff was not friendly at all… they never told you that you need reservations to eat at the restaurants on the resort… the resort was very very small.. there were no elevators… we finally made as reservation to eat no one never came to our table after 15min so we just got up & left horrible I would not ever come back here it’s soooo much more to be said about this resort.. check in time was 3 they didn’t let us check in until after 4:30 because our room still wasn’t ready

My boyfriend and I went on vacation here for 6 days. The staff treated us wonderfully. Winston was out butler when we rented our pool cabana and was such great energy, very attentive, and treated us very well! I was hesitant to book this place because of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised when we arrived and during our stay, that we did not experience anything all of these bad reviews are saying. We were greeted with a delicious cocktail upon arriving. Checkin was very welcoming and seamless. They had our bags to our room about 15 minutes after we checked in. The rooms were clean, up to date, spacious, beautiful property, the food was about a 7/10 from the buffet, but I give all of the restaurants on the resort a 9.5/10. The lady working the omelet station in the morning was so sweet, and we found the omelet were the best item out of breakfast. The pool was great, I highly recommend renting a private cabana with a private pool near the swim up bar for the whole day was only $160. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back!

There wasnt very much Dominican Culture, it was very Americanize. The music was horrible, the same playlist over and over again, not very much Spanish music. The restaurants were booked out most of the time. No hair dryer or streamer in my room. I gave a 7 on my review and was asked to change it.

My stay was horrible 1st booking 2queen beds getting there and its not available,2nd some of the staff showed they're racist they catered to the other ethnicity even when I was there 1st..(btw I am a black woman)
The property remind me of a old swanky 3☆motel. The hallways was unkept and dark lighting was horrible,at night it was creepy walking in the hallway,closet doors would be open, walking by made you feel like someone was gone pop out and grab you.
The room smelled horrible with a old mold smell and a bad moisture problem which made all my cloths feel damp,also I paid for the butler service never seen him my entire stay..
Overall my group had to make the best of it bcuz it really wasn't nothing we can do at this point
But it was one really friendly lady named Rosie she was the best,she was very attentive and took good care of us at the pool.I wouldn't never recommend your establishment to anyone I would tell them to look elsewhere

We had a party of 12 all women, we all booked 2 beds per room. When arrived the staff gave us one bed like we was a couple.the room smelled wet and mold. Big roaches in the hall way and cats. The food was fresh and delicious and the cocktails was on point.

I have stayed at 2 other resorts in Punta Cana. This supposed all-inclusive was garbage. Completely outdated. The food was horrid. On top of that there were only 3 places to eat when the advertising says 7. The food that was there especially the buffet was just horrible. Bland or cold. The buffet was on of the worst things. They could not even get breakfast right with the choices and the flavor.

The rooms were beat up. The 24 hour room service had one or two choices. The butler that was assigned to us never checked in.

Would never stay there again.

Great resort to stay for a very economical price. There are upgrades available for better views of the ocean, but no matter where you stay on the resort you receive tremendous service from Yanet and Wilmy and the other butlers. The pool bar staff are also very responsive and attentive.

Food at the Indian and Italian was very good. The steak house needs to up the quality of the steaks but the experience there is fine. The buffet snacks and coffee and gelato available all the time is a major benefit.

For this to be an Adults only resort, the entertainment was very limited. No entertainment shows, main lobby bar closed at 10, pool close at 6/7 ish… after that, there’s much of nothing to do except enjoy the breeze on your balcony. Can’t even enjoy the beach, was harassed every 2 mins to buy souvenirs. Had to run back to the pool area smh… my butler Yanet was very sweet and helpful. Steakhouse was closed on Sundays, idk if that’s every Sunday or just the Sunday we had reservations. Also the reservations were booked up pretty quick surprisingly because the resort wasn’t that crowded. The resort was ok but it helped me make the decision of never returning back to D.R again.

The hotel was nice it’s OUTDATED though as far as renovations . The staff were very nice all willing to help . However the service SUCKED wait times were longer than an hour at the restaurants and omg don’t get me started on the resort food it was terrible . It’s buffet style there’s flys and bugs hanging around the food . There was literally not one hand washing station on the resort and that bothered me meaning everyone’s hands were dirty including staff . Room service took forever as well ! So order at least a hour ahead . Also if you’re looking for great nightlife , pool party’s etc they literally have NONE to offer a pool party was displayed but never happened . I also think the amount of guest at the resort couldn’t have made for a good party anyways the crowd was mixed older folks and young . It suprised me that the Nickelodeon KiDs hotel was next door to an all adults so not very secluded.

As Diamond Members, we were very disappointed with our stay at CHIC Resort. Check-in was extremely slow and took valuable time away from what should have been an enjoyable vacation and 50th birthday celebration.

Cleanliness was a major concern throughout the resort. We witnessed an employee filling a mop bucket with water from the pool, which was very concerning. Cigarette butts were scattered throughout the property, and several areas appeared poorly maintained.

We also had to change rooms due to a strong mold odor. Unfortunately, the smell of mold seemed to be present in several restaurants as well. In the buffet area, birds were constantly flying around and made it difficult to enjoy a meal comfortably.

The food quality was below our expectations, and the language barrier often made communication challenging.

This was not the experience we expected for such an important milestone celebration. The one bright spot of our trip was Roberto, our butler. He was exceptional, went above and beyond to assist us, and provided outstanding service throughout our stay. He was truly the highlight of our visit.

Overall, this was a very disappointing experience, and if it had been possible, I would have left the resort early.

We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return for a quick getaway. The resort was beautiful, well maintained, and the staff was friendly throughout our visit. The food was one of the highlights of our trip. The buffet offered a great variety of options for every meal, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful.

The pool atmosphere was fantastic on Friday, with great music and a lively ambiance that really added to the vacation experience. It would have been nice to have similar music and entertainment on Saturday and Sunday, as the pool area felt much quieter during the rest of the weekend.

Restaurant reservations were difficult to secure, especially since not all of the specialty restaurants were open daily. However, our Expedia concierge was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help us get reservations at specific restaurants, which we greatly appreciated.

Our only real disappointment was the vacation package presentation. We spent nearly 2.5 hours attending a presentation after being promised a complimentary cabana. Unfortunately, the representative never reserved it for us, and by the time we followed up, there were no cabanas or poolside chairs available. That was frustrating after investing so much of our vacation time. While the package offers attractive benefits, it is a significant financial commitment that requires careful consideration.

Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a quick getaway.

This was, without a doubt, the worst hotel experience I’ve had in Punta Cana. The facilities were outdated and poorly maintained, which was disappointing from the moment we arrived.

The food was below average, with very limited variety throughout the resort. The steakhouse, which we were looking forward to, was especially disappointing and did not meet expectations at all.

The liquor selection for regular guests was extremely poor. We ended up paying nearly $700 extra to upgrade to the Diamond Club, expecting a significantly better experience. Unfortunately, even after the upgrade, many advertised premium options were unavailable. During our stay, they ran out of Hennessy and even had limited beer availability at times.

For the price paid, the value was simply not there. Between the poor food quality, lack of beverage options, and disappointing facilities, this resort fell far below expectations. I would not recommend it and would not return.

El area de recepcion es muy sobria, le falta decoratcon, mas iluminacion. La piscina necesita renovacion inmediata y mas atencion en la Limpieza. La competencia de bocinas (speakers) de los que se hospedan esta fuera de control. Nos sorprendio que no tienen la cerveza presidente, las demas bebidas se podian tomar, Aunque no eras marcas conocidas. Los bartenders fueron excelentes. Overall....remodelar El hotel, pero que no cambien Al personal. Un detalle que no nos gusto y de igual forma no les gusto a muchos de los guest es la insistencia en las charlas y la falta de profesionalismo en una de las vendedoras (en nuestro Caso), cuando decidios no aceptar la oferta se levanto de la Mesa y no las gracias, ni buenas trades. La persona que nos estaban atendiendo estaban avergonzada, pero Ella se Porto muy Bien. No frecuentamos hotels que esten vendiendo Time Shares, ni Vacation Clubs por eso mismo. Fuimos a vacacionar, no a estresarnos. Nos mencionaron que tienen un Nuevo gerente en El hotel, asi que esperamos que pueda tomar en cuenta los detalle y mejorar El aspecto Del hotel, entre otros detalles. En resumidas cuentas, El Servicio excelente con su personal, lo Demas necesita atenciones. No es UN hotel 5 Estrellas, un 3. (Disculpen la falta de acentos, mi computadora no habla espanol).

Our stay was unfortunately disappointing in several areas. Upon arrival, we had to request a different room because the door to our original room kept getting stuck. Once we were moved, we noticed that the room was in need of updates. The bathroom was outdated, the walls did not appear to be properly cleaned, and there were visible water bubble marks on the ceiling that had simply been painted over rather than repaired.

I also had a spa appointment during my stay. The spa pool was under construction, yet guests were still charged full price for services without being able to enjoy the complete spa experience. This should have been disclosed beforehand or reflected in the pricing.

The buffet was another disappointment. The food quality was not good, and the selection was very limited. The dinner restaurants were much better, and we generally enjoyed the food there.

Service on the beach was inconsistent. There appeared to be only one staff member serving the entire beach area, making it difficult to receive timely service.

The highlight of our stay was our butler, Clifian. He was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of throughout our visit. His communication was excellent, and he consistently checked in to make sure our needs were met. Honestly, if it had not been for Clifian, I would have seriously considered checking out early. He was the one bright spot that made our stay more enjoyable.
I would rate the experience around 2.5–3 stars

2 ⭐️resort— I feel compelled to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. We stayed at this resort for our anniversary expecting a premium adults-only experience.
The resort itself is beautiful, very clean, and well-maintained. The rooms and grounds were pleasant, and overall appearance was impressive. A special mention goes to our butler, Cleifin, who was excellent. He went above and beyond, especially by decorating our room for our anniversary and providing attentive, professional service throughout our stay. He was truly one of the highlights of the trip. However, many other aspects of the resort were disappointing. The buffet had very limited variety and was repetitive, with not many food selections available. we enjoyed specialty restaurant Italian and sushi restaurants, but the steakhouse was underwhelming.
The biggest disappointment was the overall food and beverage quality. The liquor selection consisted mostly of lower-end brands, which was surprising for an adults-only resort in this category. Drinks and cocktails did not meet expectations for a premium resort.
Service outside of our butler was also lacking. Staff rarely came around the beach or pool areas to offer drink service, so guests often had to go to the bar themselves. Even then, service was slow and not very attentive. Compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at, especially in Cancun, the level of hospitality felt much lower.
We would not return here EVER AGAIN!

Property was great but it was hard to get in touch with the staff if you didnt want to leave your room. No one ever answered the phone. Food was good and I love foam parties. I didnt like I couldn't get drinks delivered to my room but I did enjoy the room service. The restaurant service was slow at the ones I went to (steakhouse and ceviche restaurant). I would recommend this place because I had fun.

1. They made it extremely difficult to get your own transport (taxi or Uber) from the hotel almost forcing you to use the hotel service which was two to three times the price.
2. The steakhouse was subpar
3. They hit you with a bunch of sales pitches almost like a time share for other vacations using their brands.
4. I asked them to add my Marriott Bonvoy number which they forgot.
5. The shops are highway robbery (50$ for Sun block)

Cleifin was our butler and was amazing....he made dinner and spa reservations for us as we wanted, always checking in with us a few times a day to make sure everything was good. Santana at the main bar served great drinks and always kept the drinks topped up. Roman our concierge went out of his way to get us a charger that we forgot. Overall a great experience. Downside...if you don't get to the pool by 630 am you aren't getting an umbrella and if not out by 8 you don't get a chair.

I had a great stay at Royalton thanks to Yanet she answered every question and helped with everything I needed I went on a solo trip and she made me feel included in everything. 10/10 experience.

Best Time at Royalton Punta Cana Despite Water Woes

Sad to be leaving in a half hour but had the best time even though getting sick fro drinking the water

The activities and theme nights were so much fun. The activities at the pool during the day were a blast. Drinks… yes are weaker than we are used to at sandals ochi but still tasty. They definitely need more chairs and umbrellas. I get up at 6-6:30am every morning and I was able to get us good chairs but I am in them from that moment on. A lot of people come down and put towels on chairs and then get mad when there are people in their seats.
If you have long hair, bring your own conditioner, otherwise you are all set with what they have provided.
Vespa was amazing… HUGE PORTIONS!
Overall, as a sandals guest, I was advised to come in with different expectations and I did and this being our first time with a butler, and our Butlet Yanet was a life saver when I got sick… which again reminds me… DONT DRINK THE WATER IF YOU HAVE A SENSITIVE STOMACH. Without her I may not have gotten to enjoy the last 15 hrs I was there

We had an amazing stay at Royalton Chic Punta Cana! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating from start to finish.

A special shoutout to Sindy at the front desk—she was knowledgeable, professional, and surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a swim-up Junior Luxury room with butler service. We were beyond excited!

Our butler, Joan, was exceptional. He kept us informed about daily activities, made sure we were well taken care of the entire stay, and even helped recover my phone after I left it behind on an excursion—truly above and beyond service.

The entire resort staff was welcoming and always ready to assist. We loved the daily events and nightly entertainment—there was never a dull moment. And the bar service? Top tier! The drinks were delicious, and we never had to deal with long lines or wait times.

As a foodie, I was pleased with the variety and quality of the food options.

I highly recommend Royalton Chic Punta Cana for your next vacation—we’ll definitely be back!

First off 99% of the staff barely spoke English. The food was salty and not good options- authentic island dishes would have been a better choice. Drinks were awful and if you asked for one, it either never came or took a very long time to be served. Also, I felt like I was treated differently by some staff members because I’m a person of color. My best part of the hotel stay was a facial at the spa by Julia. I also had a butler who helped me book my dinner reservations. Would I visit this resort again? I would have to say, no.

We had such a good time. We were greeted at the door with our most wonderful concierge Yanet. She made our lives so much easier. She took into consideration what time we were arriving and booked our steak dinner reservations in advance since we would be arriving late. She checked in with us regularly and fixed anything we needed with out us even having to tell her. YANET SHOULD BE THE FACE OF EXPEDIA! She was such a delight. The only down side of the trip was we felt so hassled by the people trying to get us to do the time share or buy stuff. we almost felt pushed off the beach and had to take certain routes to avoid shops.

Yanet was our personal concierge and she was professional, helpful, accommodating, and extremely responsive and efficient. She was able to get us dinner reservations (and make updates as needed), had housekeeping replenish towels and tissues quickly, and was able to contact security and get us back into our room when we were locked out (the door battery died and had to be replaced).

Pedro was our cabana server on our first day. Although we had a rather large group, he never faltered and attended to our every needs. Winston took over the rest of the week and he was always in good spirits. Omar was the concierge for the Diamond Club members in our group and he was quite helpful as well.

The swim up bar had some structural damage on the outside and Munchie's roof was damaged in the wind storm, so they were repairing that the remainder of the week. One couple in our group had toilet issues that I don't believe were ever resolved.

The seafood/sushi restaurant was the best out of the ones we tried. The chocolate ice cream at the Italian restaurant was excellent. We had a private cocktail hour to celebrate a birthday, with amazing appetizers, cake, and private bartender.

All in all, an awesome experience!

Improvement areas for the property. More shade, and more loungers. Individuals get towels and reserve loungers but do not use them. Less upselling of excursions or next time stay. Several staff selling Spa, store shops are still aggressive to sell. If your coming to relax and are not phased by frequent pressure your good otherwise it can be annoying. Maybe other all inclusive run the same now. Unsure. However it is a smaller resort and easy access to amenities. Food is fantastic, drinks are great. Just get me some shade and cool the jets on the upsell. Pools are amazing!
