We had an amazing stay at Royalton Chic Punta Cana! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating from start to finish.

A special shoutout to Sindy at the front desk—she was knowledgeable, professional, and surprised us with a complimentary upgrade to a swim-up Junior Luxury room with butler service. We were beyond excited!

Our butler, Joan, was exceptional. He kept us informed about daily activities, made sure we were well taken care of the entire stay, and even helped recover my phone after I left it behind on an excursion—truly above and beyond service.

The entire resort staff was welcoming and always ready to assist. We loved the daily events and nightly entertainment—there was never a dull moment. And the bar service? Top tier! The drinks were delicious, and we never had to deal with long lines or wait times.

As a foodie, I was pleased with the variety and quality of the food options.

I highly recommend Royalton Chic Punta Cana for your next vacation—we’ll definitely be back!

First off 99% of the staff barely spoke English. The food was salty and not good options- authentic island dishes would have been a better choice. Drinks were awful and if you asked for one, it either never came or took a very long time to be served. Also, I felt like I was treated differently by some staff members because I’m a person of color. My best part of the hotel stay was a facial at the spa by Julia. I also had a butler who helped me book my dinner reservations. Would I visit this resort again? I would have to say, no.

We had such a good time. We were greeted at the door with our most wonderful concierge Yanet. She made our lives so much easier. She took into consideration what time we were arriving and booked our steak dinner reservations in advance since we would be arriving late. She checked in with us regularly and fixed anything we needed with out us even having to tell her. YANET SHOULD BE THE FACE OF EXPEDIA! She was such a delight. The only down side of the trip was we felt so hassled by the people trying to get us to do the time share or buy stuff. we almost felt pushed off the beach and had to take certain routes to avoid shops.

Yanet was our personal concierge and she was professional, helpful, accommodating, and extremely responsive and efficient. She was able to get us dinner reservations (and make updates as needed), had housekeeping replenish towels and tissues quickly, and was able to contact security and get us back into our room when we were locked out (the door battery died and had to be replaced).

Pedro was our cabana server on our first day. Although we had a rather large group, he never faltered and attended to our every needs. Winston took over the rest of the week and he was always in good spirits. Omar was the concierge for the Diamond Club members in our group and he was quite helpful as well.

The swim up bar had some structural damage on the outside and Munchie's roof was damaged in the wind storm, so they were repairing that the remainder of the week. One couple in our group had toilet issues that I don't believe were ever resolved.

The seafood/sushi restaurant was the best out of the ones we tried. The chocolate ice cream at the Italian restaurant was excellent. We had a private cocktail hour to celebrate a birthday, with amazing appetizers, cake, and private bartender.

All in all, an awesome experience!

Improvement areas for the property. More shade, and more loungers. Individuals get towels and reserve loungers but do not use them. Less upselling of excursions or next time stay. Several staff selling Spa, store shops are still aggressive to sell. If your coming to relax and are not phased by frequent pressure your good otherwise it can be annoying. Maybe other all inclusive run the same now. Unsure. However it is a smaller resort and easy access to amenities. Food is fantastic, drinks are great. Just get me some shade and cool the jets on the upsell. Pools are amazing!

Yanet is a life saver and just an awesome person. The entire stay was perfect and I enjoyed every minute of it. From the vibe team to the staff to the food to the bar to the pool and to the awesome ocean and boogie boards! The resort is beautiful, the grounds are extremely well maintained, and the friendliest people i've ever met. This resort is designed to be social and this place truly got me out of my shell. Yanet was so gracious and I'm grateful to her as she went above and beyond for my best friend's birthday and even decorated his room; She made his day very special and I can't thank her enough; I am truly going to miss this paradise of a resort, as I'm not back to reality and back to the grind! I will be back and I highly recommend this resort!!

Staff need training. Asked what drink we wanted but rarely came with them. Buffet dining area is really dirty and other restaurants tired and need renovation. Best food is seafood restaurant but very busy and service latchy. Entertainnent catered for very young crowd. Pool music far too loud and honestly crap. Beer drinking games....come on this isnt a club 18/30 ibiza holiday. Hotel drescribes itself as luxury, relaxation and ideal for bachelor parties and groups of singles. The two dont work...its either quiet luxury or a younger traveller you cant do both. Discos in reception area. I would have walked right back out if i had been checking in that night. Not enough sunbeds and obviously being reserved by staff for high tipping groups. 7am and beds already reserved ....funny how towel shack doesnt open til 8. The rooms are average but dont expect little extras like snacks or turn down service as this didnt happen. Diamond club not worth it in this hotel. They are currently forming areas only accessible to prime members so god knows where everyone else is supposed to go. Coffeeshop was nice and staff lovely. Our concierge Roberto was the best thing about the whole 10 day holiday. We stayed at Excellence El carmen a short distance away in January 26 and that is 5* luxury. Wish we had paid extra few hundred and returned there. Unless you want constant noise, music so loud you cant even speak to each other i would give thus one a miss.

Room Services: Even with the DND sign on the door, the room attendant let herself in MULTIPLE TIMES without permission while we were still in the room. The first time I was undressed in a towel and very upset that she just walked herself in. I said something and she just continued to do things in the bathroom and tv area. She left. Forgot something and tried to let herself back in without permission. FURIOUS! I went to concierge and explained my frustration. All they offered was an apology. But now I don’t feel safe, nor do my belongings feel secure. Who just wants in an occupied room with their master key???

Bathroom: Didn’t have a door for privacy. Very awkward and uncomfortable situation.

Pool Bar: Grime and white looking cottage cheese masses floating around the pool. No pool attendant to clean it. I grabbed the net myself but unable to get it all. Disgusting

Pool Area: Has construction going on. Areas are closed off and it looks awful. Def kills the view.

Food: Mediocre. Limited variety in all locations. Expected a lot better from the buffet atleast.

Entertainment: Minimal. If you’re a person who likes activity, this may not be for you.

Beach Area: Enjoyed the lounge chairs covered in hay like umbrellas.

Alcohol Drinks: Mediocre. The best bartender was at the night club, he was the only one to make a good drink.

I loved the layout of the small resort but I wouldn’t come back here at all.

We boooked this hotel because we thought it was a party hotel. It is definitely is a party hotel if you are older or you’re looking for a quiet peaceful place to go. The room was OK we did have a minor inconvenience, but they fixed it rather quickly. The staff made the stay 100 times better. They are AMAZING !! The food is like any of the resort it’s mid at best, but you can find what you like and stick to it.

The hotel is an all in one stop for people seeking a get away. Shops, entertainment all at resort.
Food was excellent all times of day.
My only criticism is the lack of consistent friendly staff.
The only people who stood out because they were so friendly and welcoming were Olvin in Vespa, Gabriel who was everywhere! The staff at main bar in lobby.
Don’t just walk past hotel guests and not say hello and how is your stay with us so far. Customer service goes a long way.

When we arrived, we were given a $600 credit & told (by multiple employees) we could use it for spa/dinner/wine add-ons & it would be applied at checkout. At checkout, they said we were supposed to get a $600 coupon book (ex: $20 spa coupon, $5 off wine). No one gave us this & we were expected to know to go to a separate desk (not the one who gave us the voucher). Huge bait & switch, felt very fraudulent. Manager did nothing about it. Room was subpar: ceiling light didn’t work & on day 2 they removed the bulb. Room phone didn’t work. Water only came out of ~30% of the shower head & handheld was fixed pointing at the wall so you had to hold it to actually use it. Toilet room door didn’t fully open so you had to squeeze in. No internal door lock—had to block door w/ a chair. Glad we did b/c housekeeping tried to enter every morning despite us asking them to come back later. Staff often seemed annoyed. Part of pool closed for construction & rusty nails nearby. Pool service was extremely slow (drinks every 45–60 min + long waits). Overall vibe was off. Food was disappointing—skip the steak & lobster add-on. Beach vendors constantly approach you (cigars, excursions). We booked horseback riding after asking a CHIC manager if it was safe. Vendor said hotel could coordinate transport, but when we asked, staff got VERY upset we didn’t book thru them, said it was unsafe. Didn’t end up going & no refund. Vendors on property also harass you nonstop. Wouldn’t go again.

First, I have to give a huge shoutout to our butlers Johnny and the waiter Finely (who told us to call him Friendly) from the Diamond Club. They truly made the trip special. Johnny was amazing—very attentive, polite, and professional. He checked on us frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. Our first night was a little rough because we didn’t receive our towels, face cloths, or robes, but Johnny stepped in the next day and handled the situation immediately.

Friendly also lived up to his nickname. He was incredibly sweet, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Between the two of them, the service was a 10/10 and they really elevated our experience.

The resort itself was very clean and beautiful, and the drinks were great. The bartenders and pool waitstaff were fantastic—very friendly and always ready to make a good drink. Thought it would be more activities available, definitely a couples or relaxing resort. Not a “party resort”.

However, I was a bit disappointed with the food. It just wasn’t to our liking and tasted pretty bland overall. The buffet was okay but nothing spectacular.

Another downside was that some of the restaurant staff were not very friendly or attentive, and we noticed that some menu items had very small fine print indicating an additional charge. For an all-inclusive resort, that was a little disappointing because it felt like certain things were being upsold that we expected to already be included.

This property was wonderful - the staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon so special. They provided us a beautiful moonlit dinner, our room was beautifully decorated! Our butler Johnny was an absolute angel - he took care of our dinner reservations, we had fresh OJ and Prosecco each morning delivered to us :) and he ensured we were constantly taken care of! We will absolutely be returning - we could not have dreamt up a better experience!

While the staff was great and the Expedia provided Concierge Johnny was absolutely phenomenal, everything else was a complete and utter disappointment. We had 4 rooms, upon check-in one of the rooms was not ready until after 8pm. Buffet was extremely limited options, sink was clogged, water from shower was seeping into the room, there was a waterbug in the room, the smoke detector was not operable. All the times I have been to Punta Cana and other travels this was the worst resort I have ever stayed at.

Hello I paid for a Junior Suite with ocean view. The room 3307 I was given was not faced the ocean, but towards another building. I didn’t see the ocean at all. Yet I was charged for a ocean view. I would like to be reimbursed for what I didn’t receive. I spoke to someone at their front desk, and he basically brushed it off stating there are different types of ocean views.

We booked a Diamond Club level room for a very special birthday vacation and our Butler, Johnny made sure the experience was exceptional! We were treated like royalty from the time we booked through expedia to the end of our trip! Our other butler, Billy was equally amazing covering when Johnny was off. All of the staff, from the bellman, Wilkins, to the Chef Montero, were absolutely amazing! Our bar tenders, Ruth, Luz and Brandalisy in Diamond and Christian as the club were the best! Mariela and Freilin pool side waitors and the wait staff at the restaurants, Jonathan, Joselo, Fermin, Diana and a few others I cannot remember at the moment made every meal special for us! Let me not forget the amazing Spa staff that did an amazing job on my braids!! This was one of the best experiences we've had in a while and we are regular travelers! Thank you Royalton Chic!

The room was clean. The staff was wonderful. Johnny Solano was the most amazing host. He made our stay absolutely great. They have 4 pickle ball courts. He got us the equipment to use when everyone else, didn't have a clue as to what we were wanting to play. Not surprising being in another country where it is not a well known sport.
Johnny also scheduled all our reservations for the restaurants and helped with the bell hop for our luggage to be picked up from the room to the lobby for our return trip home.

The hotel didn't really explain the difference between a standard stay and paying for the Diamond club stay. I only caught the pool side cabana on the website.
Which was to be reserved and additional charge and that didn't seem worth the cost and after being there I felt I made the right choice. Pool had plenty of lounges and so did the beach.
All an all wonderful place to stay.

I stayed at Royalton Chic Punta Cana from Dec 25–Jan 4 with my partner, and overall we had a fun, easygoing stay with a few quirks along the way. The resort leans a bit more tired chic than full glam these days, but the service really helped balance things out. Johnny, our butler and highlight of the trip, handled everything from restaurant bookings to sourcing medication with calm, friendly efficiency. Staff across the resort were upbeat, helpful, and kept our room spotless — complete with adorable towel art that honestly had more personality than I did before my morning coffee.

The vibe was relaxed and never too wild. Evening entertainment was fun, and daytime activities (especially the foam parties) were great to watch from a safe, dry distance. The buffet had tons of variety, and the spa was a standout — our couples retreat with champagne, exfoliation, massage, and facial was pure bliss.

Of course, a few quirks: the resort is showing its age, upselling was constant, and our room had some “character” — a dead landline, inconsistent hot water, a broken TV (quickly replaced), and no outlet on one side of the bed, which led to a very creative extension‑cord solution. The hot tubs at both the pool and spa were out of service, and shade/loungers were limited at peak times.

Overall, a good stay with great service and a chilled vibe — just expect a mix of comfort with a few quirks along the way.

Our room had a lot of issues, including our shower head almost falling off and flooding our bathroom. We also didn't have a safety latch on our door so one afternoon two different staff members just walked into our room while we were inside sleeping which was very off putting. The buffet was ok. There was a lot of options but everything that was supposed to be warm/hot was cold. The restaurants were nice and I did like their food more but I did notice that the later your reservation was, the slower the service. Also, a lot of the restaurants were out of food which shouldn't happen considering they aren't that busy. Also, it was extremely hard to get a reservation through the app. We ended up doing them all at once through the conceriege but that isn't given as an option at check in. The people/workers were very nice. The spa was also incredible. If the whole resort was more like the spa then it would be an amazing place to stay. Also, i felt like I was constantly getting random phone calls to my hotel room which was odd since we never requested anything. Also, when we first got into our room it was very obvious that it was not ready for people. We only had two towels, the floor in the whole room was grimy, and our bathroom wasn't stocked with any soaps or anything that you get. This resort is okay, but there is a lack of attention to detail. I had a good time considering all of these things, but I won't be returning and I won't be recommending this place.

I first stayed at CHIC in march 2025 and loved it, that’s why I came back. But this time around, very disappointed! A lot of the staff seems new, needs training. The hotel needs maintenance; had to change room due to really bad smell in the bathroom. Food at restaurants came out cold, and at the Steakhouse, you have to pay for the best steaks, even though we were part of the Diamond Club. Do Not do Diamond, not worth it!
Great service provided by Olvin and Greicy, they go above and beyond to get you what you need.

The hotel is very outdated, public area washrooms were not in working conditions, the showers on beach area exist were not working, guests were stepping in pools to wash the sand off. The pool filled with sand. The a-la-carte restaurant had poor service and the food wasn’t even close to taste of the menu. For example: at Indian restaurant was serving rissotto ! That was basically thick as rice pudding. Very sad! By pool area, i was literally chasing down some service for pool side bar service . I spent my holiday walking to get my own drinks. Considering I paid premium price for Christmas holidays, and considering its an adult’s only, it was mediocre! I absolutely do no recommend this Royalton Chic to anyone. It’s a waste of money. I spent $11,000 for 3 adults, 5 day stay. And was very disappointing hotel. Even I had concierge personal service throughout my stay. My concierge name was Johnny Solano, and did a good job in booking my dinner and spa reservations, and brought me a hot water kettle for my night tea time. Thank you Johnny for your services and care. But Royalton Chic hotel was not an organized or good service hotel.

Great food options, fun pool area, great beaches and an all around safe feeling with this resort. I'd like to say Franciso was the hardest work guy I saw there!! He helped me with a Cabana and that was a great day in the cabana!! \"Muchas Gracias \" Francisco!!! Now Johnny was next level amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better Expedia Ambassador, he made our stay amazing and was super helpful!! I give Johnny 100/10, he exceeded all expectations!! Great resort, amazing food, friendly staff, clean and safe. Rey who was part of the entertainment was a lot of fun and gave his everything every night!! When we got there we met Johnny, who was our Expedia ambassador, he showed us our room and gave us a quick run down of the resort. Daily Johnny would check up on us and make sure we had dinner reservations every night. Johnny made sure we had lots to do and was always making himself available when we needed something. Johnny even made sure we had sandwiches for the trip home as we had to be at the airport at 3:30am. Johnny made our vacation that much more memorable. I give Johnny 100/10 he was just that great!! Again Thanks Johnny!!!

The room was old and needed obvious repairs the furniture was old and worn out. The food was terrible! And the staff at the steakhouse were awful! As someone who lives in punta Cana and frequently goes to different resorts in the area this is not one I would recommend or go to ever again! Save your money! I wish I would have listened to all the bad reviews but I guess I learned the hard way!

I had a view of the parking lot, the room was small and dated not liike the other Royalton ive stayed at peeling paint and no elevators luckilyIwason the 2nd floor... breakfast was terrible i usually look forward to the breakfast buffets but this was by far the worst. And that older lady at the omelet station had the worst attitude everyday dam day geesh why! The bar staff at all the bar and restaurants were amazing and so polite no waiting well besides the steak house and the food still came out cold smh! Waiter at the pool were on top of it! Oh yes my room came with a butler thanks expedia greatly appreciated but the butler Johnny was terrible was of no help saw him twice in my 5dys not even to say bye at checkout his loss i tipped well!! I also had spa services which was amazing! My favs MARCO POOL BAR, MANUEL SPORTS BAR AND A FEW OTHER I FORGOT THE NAMES A WEEK LATER SORRY!! OH COFFEE SHOP HAD THE BEST CHICKEN SALAD SANDWICHES EVER LOL!! IT WOULD HAVE TO BE SOMETHING GOING ON THERE FOR ME TO BOOK THAT RESORT AGAIN LIKE SOMEONES BDAY OR WEDDING LOL... Expedia onsite rep Johnny was fantastic. He helped me book dinner reservations every night for our party of 8, as well as any room requests that we had. We had some issues with our room, AC not working properly, ceiling fan not working, no hot water. Kept requesting these services in the Royalton app but they kept responding say king that this service has been completed. Johnny ended up helping us. Washrooms by the pool were out of service for the week that we were there, guests had to go to their rooms to use the bathroom. Pool area flooding all week. No poolside service, no pool concierge to help with chairs and towels, ran out of towels daily, not enough chairs and umbrellas at the pool. Have to go down early to save chairs, 8am is not early enough. I would say that this hotel needs a lot of work. Service was not very good for the Royalton brand. Food was good, beach was nice.

Provided incorrect room on check in. I booked 2 queen beds on the ground floor and was given 1 king. The employees then rolled a cot to the room as a solution which was a horrible looking cot. They told us to come back at 12 the next day for the correct room. The next day we came to the front desk at 12, were then told nothing was available until 5 pm. At this point we were unable to unpack or get comfortable due to uncertainty with our room change. 5pm we were given a super moldy smelling room which should not be provided to guests whatsoever. Another room finally became availble which we had to pack up , someone was supposed to come to get our luggage but never did so we went to the lobby ourselves with luggage. By this point most of our day was trekking to the lobby and possible rooms. We dropped off our luagge to the room with an employee as we had dinner reservations, however then were advised we had to change our key wristband to the new room. As there were 15 people in line to check in the employee at guest services employee said we had to again wait in that line to re program our wristband. We were super frustrated at this point with the lack of compensation and customer service. No one actually wanting to help us or solve the issue that was a hotel issue , not ours. The guest services employee yelled at my mother saying the line was the only option and we had to wait again ( which we did this already upon the orginal check in). The 1st full day ruined by this problem

The resort is managed terribly! Service is sad, getting good and consistent information was nonexistent. The food was horrid, the staff with the exception of a very few was equally horrid! Many things were unavailable and the all inclusive is a joke. Most everything was not available unless you paid extra. The pressure was on from the moment we got there to buy a vacation package. Most of our group returned home with food poison. I could go on...

The original room I received was not good at all. It smelled of mold and mildew and whoever cleaned it did a poor job. The wash clothes were all dirty dingy and the amenities that should have been on the room were not there. No umbrella, which prevented us from going out the first night because it rained. No steamer, robes or air condition. After calling a few times I finally had to walk to the front desk the next morning. Poolside music was horrible, they played music in spanish all day. Buffet food was not good and that and the poolbar food area were the only options unless you had reservations for dinner and good luck with that on the app. I have stayed at a Royalton before and this was 2 1/2 stars compaired to the one I’ve stayed at previously.

Things that could have improved are the overall condition of the property is lacking. In many ways that could easily be fixed at low cost. The drainage when it rained did not work. The spa and gym needs to be completely remodeled. The food overall was 5/10. The buffet needs serious help and there is no regulating lines. The food was very mediocre. The steak house and Italian restaurant was great, the best food at the resort.

My wife and I had a blast overall. Samuel was our butler and when over and beyond what we asked of him. He was Very positive and took care of anything we asked of him immediately. The entertainment was good, the pool foam party was awesome.

Room was just okay, you can tell they made repairs. However not great repairs. show area was dirty, left over hair. The cleaning staff and personal butler was great, Our butler, Johnny was Steller (5 stars) he checked in each morning, responded when I had questions, booked our reservations. He was literally Johnny on the spot. The food was not good at all, no flavor. All of the food including the room service was not good. We looked forward to Taco Bell at the airport and thats saying a lot. Didnt like how everything closed early other than one bar and the nightly rave parties was very loud at 2 am. People were friendly, drinks has basically no alcohol in them. We've stayed in other Royalton's and this one by far was the worst. Would choose brand new next time if we stay at a Royalton.
