Very centric at a good price

Hostal LK has a privileged location as it’s extremely centric, very close to Metro and bus stations and less than 5min walking from Plaza Espanya. The room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Our only issue during our stay was that the air conditioning broke after the first night, but they offered to move us the next day to another room which was working correctly. The staff was always very friendly and responsive.

El Hostal LK tiene una información falsa. Dice que tiene aire acondicionado y restaurante pero no es cierto. Con el calor de Barcelona es insoportable aunque deje la ventana abierta. El abanico q tenía en el cuarto se apagaba solo. Y de noche no hay quien duerma. En la calle hay mucho ruido hasta las 3am hasta gritos y peleas. Fue horrible. Los baños son compartidos y no tienen ni seguro en las puertas. No lo recomiendo.

Good to rest but the room is small, AC worked but we have to work to get it.
The bathroom needs some remodelation but it is OK.

The room was as expected, the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Being near Plaça España and Barcelona Sants stations was a huge plus. The shared bathroom was pretty stressful even though I usually choose hostels, there’s nowhere to change privately or keep your things safe while dry...

We reservered a double room for one night. The room was smell badly. Too many people to share only one toilet with bathroom. No air conditioner in our room which only have two fans. Include breakfast but with really basic food. The staffs were nice and the location is good.

Substandard hostel, but clean and good location

They say you get what you pay for... well, in this case I paid way too much for what was basically a very basic room in a youth hostel. Shared bathroom was clean but towels and sheets were ripped (the towel had two big holes), there's no air con just a basic fan and they don't even sell you water which is crazy in barcelona in the summer. I had to walk 15 mins to grab some in the middle of the night. The location is very convenient, less than 10 mins walk from airport bus stop, so if you just need a place to crash for a few hours in between flights (which was my case), it's acceptable but the standard is very low for what you tend to get in Spain for that price

Wonderful reception from Esmerelda at front desk...warm smile and helpful!Kamal was excellent at the night desk as he could not have been more helpful or interested in our welfare.there was a slight problem in our room but when reported, it was dealt with immediately and with an apology.The room was clean and adequate,the shower great...but sadly,the walls are thin,and our neighbours arrived in the wee small hours,talked loudly and turned on the TV,disturbing our sleep...The location of this Hostal was excellent...a very short walk,even pulling a suitcase, from Sants station and Placa Espana from where we caught the airport bus...and the train to Montserrat.there is a kettle in the reception area for making tea but the communal refrigerator was not working,reportedly to be replaced.

Clean and tidy hotel, ideal location

Hotel is within walking distance of la rambla, the port and the camp nou, staff were really friendly, room always tidy and the beds comfortable.

Only downside was the shower was cold most mornings but I'm not sure if this was a fault just with my room

Cheap, unfortunately nasty too. No air con, just a fan. Filthy floors, bathrooms didn't get cleaned until the morning we left, we stayed for 3 nights.... Cigarette butts in the showers, empty shampoo bottles everywhere. Vomit in the woman's toilet......and as I said, no cleaning of bathroom for 3 days.
Great location to Metro stations and supermarket. There was a shop next door for convenience foods.
I would seriously not stay here if it was free.
Sorry, but that's the facts.

Good value for money. Our room, which looked out on the back yard, was also very quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location. Just 5 minutes from Placa de Espanya where there are cafes, a shopping mall, metro stop and a stop for the airport express bus. Only negative point was that there was little wardrobe space in the rooms and not much room to put our suitcases. But that wasn´t a big issue for us.

We visited Barcelona with my father (62), my brother (35) and his son (7) and booked a 3-bed room. The staff was really helpful, they put a matress to the room for the child, so we did not have to book a bigger room, they charged only 10+ eur/night.
On the other hand, the staff did not really speak English (but basically the same holds true for the whole city).
Our main intention was to attend an FC Barcelona game. This accomodation turned out to be a good choice, because the camp nou was 25-minute-walk away.
I recommened this hotel to those, who's looking for cheap but acceptable accomodation!

The balcony doors don't seal completely and the curtains don't fill the whole window (they are actually secured with tape). So, do expect noise and light in the early morning when you still want to sleep. No toiletries.

Otherwise, friendly staff and good location (only 5min away from Plaça d'Espanya).
The airco also works fine.

All around pleasant experience.

This place was great! We were 3 college student travelers and we had a private room and bathroom, and it was clean with light house keeping and new towels each day. Very reasonably priced for such a great location (right down the street from Joan Miro park, plaza de espanya, a shopping center, and a major metro station). Short metro ride to other great areas in Barcelona. The staff was super helpful and accommodating and spoke great English and Spanish. They had great tips on places to go and transportation to the airport, etc. Our flight was late so they stored our luggage for free for the day so we could spend the last day out in the city. And most importantly, it felt very safe! I would absolutely come back or recommend it to a friend. Great for solo travelers, students, or families.

This was booked as a last minute stay, slightly more expensive compared to other hostels in the area that have air con. On the plus side it is situated near 3 metro stations. State of cleanliness in the shower needed improvement and there should have been a warning notice regarding the high step out of the shower. The staff at reception were poor,when we checked out the chap was sitting with headphones on and gave us a thumbs up no conversation at all

Hotels in Barcelona were completely booked or charging outrageous fees because of Mobile World Congress. I admit that I booked my trip at the last minute, so I didn't have a lot of choices. I selected this hostel because of its location, which is fantastic. 10 min walk from Sants train station and 5 min walk from the metro. The hostel is very basic, but it was clean. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. I felt that the rooms were safe and I left my computer there for two days without any concern. The shared bathrooms were disappointingly spartan with very small showers. As a hostel, it was fine. The central location was very convenient for me. I give the room comfort a 2 only because of the bathrooms. Again, please remember that this is a student hostel. It is really, really basic. One more thing: the price of the hostel even during MWC seemed too high. I suspect that it would be much more reasonable at other times, but you will have to check.

Hotel near to Barcelona Sants station

I found this hotel very conveniently placed within 15 minutes walk of Sants station . This was useful as I arrived late and was catching an early train the next day. Reception is covered 24 hours a day and the staff are friendly and speak good English. The room was small but clean and the bed comfortable. The surrounding are is outside of the main tourist area and there are several local bars where food and drink is available up until about midnight.

However the road noise made it almost impossible to sleep at night (something you can deal with for the great price). However, the room looked clean but I left the hostal with bed bugs and tons of bits all over my body. Not something that I can just over look!

I knew there was a problem when no-one in the vicinity knew where LK was. I literally walked past it 6 times until I noticed a blue \"H\" above a door.

The room was smelly , all the furniture was broken in some way. Frankly it looked like somewhere where refugees might stay.

I'd be amazed if it met fire regulations.

I could go on but I suspect this review will be ignored.....

Nice hotel close to the airport

I was only here for one night, but I chose the hotel based on its proximity to the airport. It was a short bus ride from the airport terminal on the A2 to Placa d'Espanya roundabout and then a 5 minute walk to the hotel. The neighborhood isn't particularly fancy, but not unsafe either. From there, it was easy to grab the metro to a more central location. The hotel was nice, clean, and quiet. The WiFi worked well and the shower had lots of hot water. I would definitely stay here again!

Very disappointed. This hostel is too basic. No drinking glass in bathroom (\"Sorry, we don't provide a glass\"), no plug in washbasin, no heating and no wardrobe or hanging space for clothes. It made a Travelodge seem like a 5 Star hotel.

For a 2 star hotel is really great, the personnel is very helpful even not all are speaking English. It is very good situated. The room was clean and big enough. Our room was oriented to the street so a little bit noisy but for us was OK. A little bit humid at the begging, but after we kept the window open it dried.

Great time

We have spent 4 night at LK hostel. We went to Barcelona to run the marathon. The hostel is run by lovely and very friendly Korean people. The room was quiet and the mattress was really really comfy. The sheets clean and crisp. The place needs a lick of paint but other than that it suited the purpose. If you want to have a place to sleep after being out all day and have low budget it's perfect. I'd return again.

nice little Hostel, the pictures in the advert are quite old I think, the rooms actually don't look like this, but the perfect location and the cheap price does make the Deal, so if you looking for a cheap place to stay over night close to the City center you will find here your deal, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the rooms are scanty furnished, only a bed a bedside table with lamp, a closet and a tiny Flat screen on the wall. overall I had a good experience staying there and i would recommend this place to budget travelers
but If you have problems to sleep I would not recommend a room to the street side because there is almost every night around midnight one or two waste collection truck which make the quite loud noise...

Reception is 24h and they keep yopur key when your out so there is no risk of losing it.

The hotel is round the corner from catalyna on takes 2mins walk if you get a taxi from catalyna to the hotel they go a long way round due to one way systems and it costs 7euros more than if you get off and walk round the corner from Catalyna

The room is spacious and basic but clean with fresh towels daily and aircon,

Close to everything and the two young guys were so helpful. The old couple spoke very little English (or Spanish actually) so we avoided asking them questions. No elevator though so hopefully you can get a room in 1st or 2nd floor. Would definitely go back there.

LK is not a hotel its a dorm !

Everything is in the title,
really, the rooms are the tiniest ever, just like beds inside, and the beds are the most incomfortable i have ever experienced in a \"hotel\".
Reception/Service was bad too. As when we asked a change of room (because of a terrible smell in one of them) the owner basically told us \"this is subjective\", in the end , after many arguments we got a discount.
But really, all in all, avoid this place if you want to have a nice, clean and good stay in Barcelona.

The staff was nice, it was decently clean. They had trouble with the internet, but in the first floor it was available. It was close to metro station and very close from main attractions. The only not so good thing is that they do not have an elevator so if you have to stay in the last floor (4th) then it's a little bit of a drag to take your bags up the stairs. Overall it was a good experience.

The LK hotel is a great economy / budget hotel. It is clean, comfortable & affordable. If you desire a simple place to stay & rest.. this is the place for you. Nothing elaborate. As a positive, we found that this hotel had some quality, friendly & helpful staff. Very accomodating :) This place is not a luxury hotel, but it is clean & safe. We found the staff to be honest, genuine, trustworthy people in our experience. With this hotel, we had no complaints.

In terms of the location of this hotel (i.e. to some of the noteworthy sites of Barcelona), this hotel is spectacular. This hotel provides tourists with a great & amazing locale, with all the typical tourist type places to see all within a couple of blocks or within very close walking distance (i.e. the Olympic venues, Parc de Espanya, Montejuic, Fira de Barcelona etc).

The public transportation (bus) from the Barcelona Airport (BCN) to the LK Hotel, is also a plus & is cheap. Only about 1.35 Euro's per person from the Airport to the Pl. de Espanya where the public bus route ends. The LK hotel is only about 2-3 blocks away.

As a helpful note (for some people to consider): this hotel does not have an elevator; so the staircase of the LK hotel (depending on what floor you are located on) can be a challenge in the climb. We stayed on the top floor (FL 4 or 5) and we got our exercise for the day. I do however recommend the hotel as a closing thought.

Incumplieron con lo reservado. Era habitación para 1 adulto y 2 niños de 14 y 11 años y, sólo había 1 cama de 135cm x 190cm para compartir los 3. No dieron ni sugirieron ninguna solución para resolver el asunto. Había moho en la ducha del baño. Discutieron por no conocer la normativa nacional sobre obligatoriedad de documentación para menores de 14 años, exigiendo el DNI para el menor de 11 años y, diciendo que si no la presentábamos no podríamos pecnotae allí.

Trés bonne experience, le prix est trés attirant et pour ceci nous avons une assez grande chambre avec salle de bain, TV et climatiseur.

Le gérant propose de lui laisser les clés en partant si on souhaite eviter de les perdre ou si on veut que le ménage soit effectué durant notre séjour (gratuitement).

Le gèrant est trés sympathique et accessible.

EL HOSTAL MÁS SUCIO DE MI VIDA

Al llegar pensábamos que nos habíamos metido en la boca del lobo. Una mujer asiática, con un niño corriendo por ahí, era la recepcionista. La habitación daba aspecto de sucia, el olor que había allí no te dejaba dormir. Tuvimos que ir a comprar desinfectante y unas chanclas para poder ducharnos. Los mandos de la TV y del aire acondicionado los tienen ellos guardados y si no se los pides no te los dan. Escuchamos todo lo que pasaba en la calle, las cortinas no tapaban el sol, debajo de la cama había muchísima suciedad. Estuvimos pensando en coger otro hotel estando allí pero perderíamos el dinero de este por lo que decidimos limpiar la habitación nosotros y comprar mucho ambientador. La televisión es microscópica. El baño tenía moho en las juntas de los azulejos, en la mampara y en el techo. Si queréis pasar una noche en Barcelona mejor dormir en un parque, dormiréis mejor.

Ho effettuato prenotazione per due adulti più un bambino, mettendo fra le preferenze due letti ma ovviamente intendevo un letto matrimoniale e uno singolo. Al check in mi hanno chiesto di pagare un supplemento di 70 euro per l'aggiunta del terzo letto.

Plusieurs choses n’allaient pas dans cet hôtel. Tout d’abord, à peine 5 minutes après avoir effectué notre check-in, nous avons entendu depuis notre chambre du rez-de-chaussée, une violente dispute. Il s’agissait en fait, du réceptionniste et de sa compagne. Elle hurlait sur son mari et balançait ses affaires pendant que lui tentait de la maintenir. ll s’agissait de violences physique. Mon compagnon a essayé d’intervenir et d’apporter son aide, en vain. Les problèmes de couple doivent rester privés et nous avons trouvé cela honteux que cela se déroule sous nos yeux dans un hôtel !! Cela donne un sentiment d’insécurité total. C’est tout sauf professionnel. Nous avons payé la chambre 90€ la nuit pour assister à cette scène dès notre arrivée. Je n’ai jamais vu ça. Sans parler de la chambre, qui était sale, moisissures dans la salle de bain, les draps et les serviettes tachées. L’hôtel est bruyant. Bref, ne va dans cet hôtel.

Mi pareja hacía la maratón y buscábamos un alojamiento cerca. La verdad es que no pudimos escoger un sitio mejor relación calidad-precio. A menos de 5 minutos andando de plaça Espanya i muy cerca del metro.
El único pero es que las camas no eran muy cómodas. Una estaba como hundida y la otra era muy dura.

No es hostel no es hotel es pension sin cocina un rincon con un microndas y una nevera que esta a tope de hielo y no descongelan nunca sin vasos ni cubiertos muy caro para el poco servicio que dan no volvere

Personal bueno pero la habitación no tanto

Las personas de recepción muy razonables. Chec-in rápido y 24Hrs.
La limpieza regular y el secador tenía todos los cables pelados.

No me gusto que las sabanas estuvieran sucias, el ruido de los demas habitaciones hablando y hasta se escuchaban los ronquidos de la habitación contigua.

Très très bon rapport qualité prix, chambre propre, un peu de bruit mais pas trop, climatisation fonctionnelle, arrêt de bus et métro à 3min à pieds. Franchement Pour le prix qu’on a payé c’est correct.
