This hotel is in a great location right in the center of Patzcuaro a block from the Plaza Grande and next to the new Mercado. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The parking is about a block away and we were able to stop and unload right at the lobby when we arrived. BUT- on the second night there was a party in their event room that was very loud until late at night. My mother-in-law was woken up and did not sleep well. There was no one at the desk to help. I had a room overlooking the courtyard which was lovely, but there was not way to get ventilation without opening the window right into the public walkway. There were no fans and it was a humid day.

We like this Hotel, its Beautiful and the rooms are adequate.
Pros:
+Beautiful interior courtyard
+Helpful staff
+Great location
+Clean Rooms
+Mattress was very comfortable

Cons:
-Web site says on site free parking - Not it's a lot 2 blocks away for 80 pesos a night
- no hot water in our bathroom shower, we were given access to another room to use the shower there
- toilet didn't flush completely
-mattress had a plastic protector on it under the sheets, this became hot and sweaty during the night

We still liked it, the bathroom issues are no doubt fixed now. The fixed the parking issue when we asked about it, and the mattress cover is what it is. For the $ there are probably other hotels available, but as I mentioned this has a great location to downtown, beautiful interior courtyard and we liked it, we would probably stay there again.

Restaurant at the hotel is very good. They even offer room service if you need it. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Hotels architecture and lay out is so pretty.
Staff were friendly and helpful. They helped get our bags to our cars because the parking garage was a block away. We didn’t mind as this hotel is downtown and parking is hard to come by. We stayed at a couple different hotels during our vacation and this one was our favorite. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Cabin Feeling !

Very nice ambience, well maintained old hotel, it has a very unique traditional architecture, loved it.
A couple of suggestions, it was a very hot weather and the rooms have no A/C nor a fan to move the air around!
It’ll be nice to have valet parking as well !
Also, the mattress had a plastic cover which made us sweat a lot with the kind of weather!

Nice old historic hotel with open courtyard. It was chilly in March with no heat, but they did provide additional blankets. Staff was accommodating - let us check in early, ordered cabs, etc. Location is right next to busy outdoor market, but just a short walk to historic square.

On arrival we tried to check in, and the desk clerk said our credit card was blocked! We tried 2 more credit cards, and she said they were blocked. Same with our friends. We called our bank, all were good, they said the problem was at the hotels end. We told the clerk and she replied NO! We paid cash, spent the night in a dirty noisy room and changed hotels in the morning.

average stay, it was very cold with temps in the 50's, no heating in room, requested extra blanket it took about 45 mins to get blanket after a 2nd call. No type of cups or glasses in room, only 1 water bottle, had to ask for 2nd bottle. Room was in a back area with no view at all. only 2 working outlets, bedside lamps had to be plugged in to work, so no outlet available to charge phones. Location was great though.

We had stayed here before and it was great. This time the TV did not work right and we had to have help with it twice. The last night we just went without as it kept saying \"no signal\". The second day there we had no hot water even though we ran it for about 15 minutes. It is a cold climate and not pleasant trying to take a COLD shower. This was reported but not sure that anything was taken care of in a timely fashion. However, the bed was comfortable but when I asked for one more pillow they told me they had none even though they had lots of empty rooms.

El hotel está muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones amplias y limpias, el servicio igual excelente, hacía mucho frío y tuvieron consideraciones enviando cobijas adicionales, además en lo personal y como comentario extra me encantó que ayuden a los perritos callejeros dándoles croquetas y agua, lo aplaudo y ojalá existan más personas así. Definitivamente regresaría.

It's a family property. Tons of rooms. There was a band playing Mexican classics from the 70s/80s (according to my sister-in-law who grew up in Veracruz).
Great value for a 24-hour stay.
There was a problem with wifi hence the credit card machine didn't work so we had to pay cash - thankfully we had it. There was a problem with parking but the hotel sorted us out which was greatly appreciated.

Perfect Location For A Good Time During DoD

The hotel was very helpful in obtaining a wheelchair for my wife during our stay. The front desk was helpful even though they had a very limited ability to communicate in english (thanks Marianna). There were a lot of celebrations inside the hotel during Dia de los Muertos which sometimes interrupted hotel services which is understandable. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

Charming Hotel right on Plaza Chica, close to everything (if you can get through the traffic). The beds are a bit uncomfortable, pillows are lumpy and the room was cold, not just because it was a colder season, but because the window in the bathroom would not shut tight. Overall, we enjoyed the charm.

Great spot though not for the snooty. Relaxed and unassuming is more like it. Took care of my laundry, fed me when I chose to stay in and always had plenty of my favorite beer cold and served it in a chilled mug. I will return.
PS....let the hot water run in the shower, it'll get there.

We had a great time. The city is beautiful the people are friendly and the food is delicious and using the American dollar your money goes far. The front desk was friendly but we didn't need their help for much. They called We Needed an Answered Any Questions We Had about the Town. The Restaurant Is Small but tasty and the wait staff was very friendly and attentive I would definitely love to go back.

The hotel is very nice, but during February it was cold as there was no heat. There were very thick, very warm extra blankets found in the drawers. We slept warm. The staff doesn't speak english and depending who was on duty how helpful they were with my small amount of spanish. We liked the hotel

El Hotel está increíble, está en un excelente ubicación, sin embargo un detalle que no me gustó y lo tengo que dejar por escrito es que cuando llegué yo pagué una habitación y en el momento de asignarme la habitación, me cambiaron la habitación programas económica, a lo cual reclamé y se me dio la habitación que yo pagué, pero el hecho de hacerlo creo que no es ético y sí, tienen que poner atención a lo que hacen y evitar un mal rato de ahí en más recomiendo ampliamente lugar. Súper bellísimo

La habitación no tiene ventilación y en esta época guarda mucho calor. Las ventas no se puede tener abiertas todo el día, debido a que, están en una altura muy baja y sin protección se pueden meter fácilmente a robarte.

Peor hotel de Pátzcuaro que he vista Desde el check in muy mal la chica de recepción dijo que no tenía habitación disponible ya reservada, al final nos dieron una, las habitaciones se escucha todo y fuerte los de aun lado gritaban y discutían y creo que hasta golpes hubo no dejaban dormir y nadie hizo nada para callarlos y los de la parte de arriba tiraban cosas y todo se escuchaba fuerte no pudimos dormir nada, las habilidades deteriorada con olor a humedad el wifi nunca se tuvo acceso, la verdad nos arrepentimos hospedase en ese lugar

Localización excelente, habitación amplia, limpia. Personal joven, muy correcto, pero bastante distante.

Tres aspectos deberían mejorar:
1) Para obtener agua caliente hay que dejar correr el agua durante varios minutos. Esto es un desperdicio de un recurso valuable.
2) El frío era intenso, no había calefacción. Tuve que dormir con abrigo.
3) El sábado en la noche hubo música en vivo, perturbando el descanso de los huéspedes. Es un patio central, con mucha acústica. Fue muy molesto.

Fui tontamente robado por hoteles.com y por Expedia no hubo reembolso y me robaron todavía más la misma cantidad que pagué por no hospedarme en el Hotel Las Hadas, doy cuenta muy tarde que todo esto está coludido con el crimen organizado y que no va haber tregua mas no realizar trámites de hospedaje por estas vías y no creer en nadie ya que están coludidos no podemos realizar trámites por teléfono y con nadie que no conozcas saludos una experiencia no grata que me deja ver que estamos en un mundo controlado por el crimen organizado/gibierno.
