We first got a room in terrible conditions, curtains dirty, air leaked, wall VERY dirty, bathroom smelling awful. Staff helped us do room change. Second room was smaller, but very clean, and no bad smells. Staff is VERY friendly, kind and helpful. Tea and hot water y always available for free!

property offered shuttle one way, for 55 euros when a local travel agent provided one for 15 euros. Property staff is good but property location is in the hills fairly difficult to get to on foot.

Description of the property wax false.
It is a separate bungalow next to the main building accessible from the street.
Unsafe area, anyone could have entered from the street. My family were very upset and we had to leave immediately.
The property would not return the payment even though we didn't stay at the property.
Expedia service was terrible as they would return my payment.
My advice never go to this property.
Also I will not use Expedia again. 😤

Tucked away down a cobbled street, this hotel is perfectly located for the old city centre of Istanbul, making everywhere walkable.
We were greeted by an incredibly helpful member of staff (sorry, we never got his name, but he had a lovely smile!) who advised us on local eateries and sorted us with a Turkish sim card.
Only complaint is the air conditioning wasn't great so the rooms were especially hot at night.

Nice place for a simple stay

Zanadu hotel is located in a nice area, with a metro station not so far away and fancy streets all around. Great solution for solo travelers with not-so-great budget or not-so-big expectations who just need a place to rest, get a wi-fi and leave their luggage at. I stayed in a’no window’ room, the cheapest one, which some travelers might find pretty narrow, but I for me it was just fine. Friendly staff, fast check-in, cute little garden by the entrance… Dunno what else to say. Luxury-lovers might find this place too simple, but that’s exactly what I needed at the moment.

False advertisement on rooms. Pictures did not accurately depict actual rooms. Booked a delux room with a seaview, got a small room with a view of rooftops.
Shower leaked constantly so water was all over the floor, mildew in shower, stains on the walls. Told the front desk about the leak. He didn't want to be bothered with anything. Booked it for a week, stayed for 3 nights. Manager would not allow refund. This was a very disappointing experience!

Don’t book!! Not clean!!! VERY DIRTY!! Looks like scary movie place!! Omg it was terrible!! Expedia how do you send people to such place!! One of the worst stays ever

Day 1: We arrive at 1 am, we are given the room with a great view, but there are no curtains, and the street light is shining in the room affecting our sleep. The room smells of Turpentine because it has recently been painted and the worst thing to top it all was that the air condition didnt work. I couldnt sleep the whole night and kept on chatting with Hotel.com advisor but nothing was done as the wifi kept on disconnecting as well. They guy at the reception refused to help at all and said, the manager will look at it in the morning.
Day 2: At 9 am, Hotel.com call the guys to give a refund, but the hotel refuses to give the refund (we were supposed to stay there for 2 more nights). The manager says he will give us their best room which is bigger with more beds, shows us the room, and shows the air conditioner working. I agree which ends up being a bigger mistake.
After a tiring city tour, I come back at 3pm, and I notice that the cleaner had left the windows open and it rained so all our bags were wet. I complain again and they send it to dry cleaner saying the clothes will come the same day, cleaned and dried. They come back next day and they were still wet!
The bathroom light did not work as there was a short, and turning on the light meant the who room will not have electricity.

We basically stayed in that room for the next two nights only because there was no refund and the manager refused to act humane to help us get rid of our miseries.

We checked out after one night and lost our reservation money. Expedia made terrible mistake posting this property on their website. It is good for young hatchback travelers not family in order to climb 4 floors on UN even stairs which very unsafe. My wife has knee problem that prevents her of climbing up high stairs. No phone to call front desk. No curtains. No coffee machine. The ally way leading to the place is hidden and unsafe no no no....noway to recommend it. When asked to change room to lower floor, or get refund the answer was your reservation on Expedia non refundable. I been trusting Expedia selection of hotels for decades but no ???? I got to do my own investigation. That lesson costs me about 200euro non refundable plus additional 400 $ for new last minute reservations. Thanks EXPEDIA....

L'albergo è ben piazzato nella zona di Sultanahmet, è molto vicino alla Moschea Blu, al Topkapi ed altre attrazioni e vicino passa la linea del tram T1.
Il tutto non sarebbe stato male se la pulizia non fosse stato totalmente insufficiente, soprattutto nella stanza economy, in cui c'erano macchie di ogni sorta, ovunque ed in cui non entrava uno sputo di luce naturale ed in cui mancava acqua calda.
Ad ogni modo, dopo le nostre rimostranze siamo riusciti a farci cambiare stanza, dove la situazione era decisamente migliore.

Not bad for the price paid.

Not bad. For the very cheap price paid, it offered a nice accommodation close to some nice sights and the Gran Bazaar. Shared areas (stairs, etc) not so well kept as many things lying around, bags with concrete etc. Quite hard beds.

Je suis arrivé à l'hôtel à 13h00, reçu la chambre à 14h00, de 15h00 à 21h00 : pas d'électricité (noir total).
Malheureusement le pire hôtel que j'ai jamais visité.
Les photos ne correspondent pas du tout à la réalité.
La chambre est petite et très sale, avec une fenêtre bloquée de l'extérieur avec des cartons des sacs poubelles (voir les photos).
Les couvertures et les oreillers ont des taches (sang), le matelas est jaune avec des taches, le climat est suspendu directement au-dessus du lit avec un rhume est inévitable, la télévision est sans signal, le WC est très sale avec les ordures insupportables. Des cafards, moustiques et d'autres insectes partout dans la chambre (voir photos), encore pire, dans le couloir et l'accès à la chambre : des grands sacs, des cartons, matériels de chantier, des jouets d'enfants, des sacs ciments, des sacs plâtres, dans la terrasse des chaises cassées, poubelles par tout.... je vous laisse guider avec les photos. J'ai réservé pour 4 jours, j'ai payé 178€, j'ai passé juste une nuit.... le jour après je suis parti sans regarder derrière, j'ai contacté hôtels.com pour le remboursement, j'ai reçu leur message : discuter avec le manager de l'hôtel pour trouver une solution, ce dernier a refusé de me faire rembourser, m'a dit qu'il ne peut rien faire. donc j'ai décidé de garder les clés et fermer la chambre jusqu'à le dernier jour de la réservation.
Ce que j'arrive pas à comprendre: hôtel classé avec 3 étoiles ???

Der Mitarbeiter sagte dass bei der Buchung kein Frühstück sei , stimmt aber nicht habe definitif mit Frühstück gebucht ... und dann sei das Frühstück bei anderem partnerhotel ..die lage ist auch total schlecht aber ok das ist mein Wunsch gewesen.
