There is only a reception only few hours a day. The room was ok however the bathroom sink was in the room instead of the bathroom. They had difficulties to clean the room in a timely manner (came back late afternoon and the room was still not done). You can hear the neighbours and i could hear the noise from the street. Not so quiet.

The self-service check-in and check-out no-frills boutique hotel (no front desk staff on the 1F at night time) is in a convenient location between Taipei Main Station and Ximending.

The room was compact and clean with a limited space but has all I needed. There's usually no staff visibly on site on the first floor and the common room is barely utilized. For the price I paid and the location I like, it's a good deal for what it offers.

Stayed for a week. Didn’t know the noise was THAT bad until settled in. Got a pair of boutique sunglasses stolen out of the room when we were out. Other reviews said the same so it’s true. Hide your belongings or lock them up cause the room service crew is hunting for easy targets. Don’t be caught lacking…..cause I did. Won’t stay here ever again even if they paid me.

The room itself is as advertised. The location provides easy access to shopping, food, and public transportations. However, we had to contact the hotel front desk several times to receive cleaning services after 5pm during our stay. The staffs were friendly and responsive, but guests should not have to do this. Also, the hotel appears to rent rooms by hours for 'couples' short stays', and the sound insulation between rooms was terrible. We were able to hear 'noises' from their 'hourly guests' several times during our stay. The hotel is at no fault for doing business their way. However, Expedia do a better job screening hotels. In fact, Expedia should seriously consider putting up warnings on hotels offering 'hourly stays' on their site. Overall, we would definitely consider hotels in this area, but we would likely not return to these types of hotels.

This hotel is not convenient at all and in fact very annoying. I took my family and all our luggage to the address and we couldn’t get in. Then we had to find out that the office lobby is across the street. When I got there I had to put a $1,000ntd deposit for each room, which I’ve never had to do before and makes no sense really since you get it back the next day before they even check for damages lol. Then they give us a confirmation number for our rooms. Then we have to cross the street again and because this lobby can take your money but can’t give you a key card. You go to the other building across the street and use a complicated annoying self checkout machine which you have to do for each room. And since you need the card to run the electricity in the room one person can’t leave with the key while the other person stays, and of course you can’t ask for two keys since it’s a machine. It was bay far the most annoying hotel experience I’ve ever had. Oh yeah and no breakfast, which they said was “because Covid”, total BS.

It was just the worst experience ever. When I got to the hotel, the hotel told me my reservation was canceled even though I never canceled it. Not sure if this was caused by a bug on Expedia side or a bug on hotel's system, but regardless, the hotel made me book a new reservation which ended up being more expensive than my original reservation for the same room. And when I came back to the states, the hotel did not cooperate well for the refund process and it was just a nightmare. Also when I checked in, I saw trash and hair in trash cans and the room was overall not so clean. No breakfast was provided but only positive side was that it was fairly close to the main station.

my advise Don't stay here

the check in was slow. i booked for journey hotel which doesn't have a check in went to b7 on the other side and I was told that the room would be here not where I booked a room. at 16.00 I was told to wait for my room. the check in starts 15.00 which is very late compared to other countries and yet the room wasn't ready. the room smelt damp all the time. I had a lovely view. the breakasfat is the biggest joke. the toasts were disgusting. I couldn't eat it. no selection. so I booked a room with breakfast and didn't get any so had to go somewhere else and purchase the food.
I'm not happy with the fact that my hotel was changed without my prior knowledge and the fact that you don't have breakfast although you advertise room with breakfast. the hotel reply was \"we’re astonished\" and \"We’re still hoping to serve you again. Thank you\" so as you can see they don't know what a customer service is just like in all China.

I have read good review about this hotel so i decided to booked it , i stayed 4 nights , was glad that i was given a free upgrade
I heard a lot of good review about 24hrs food bars , it’s a free service for guest who staying here , however when i took a few packets of snack , i over heard staff saying “ she took a lot”
The room was spacious, clean
我每天都會要求room cleaning ,每天都整理的很乾淨、窗戶、枕頭都會放好、即使看到浴室有放了一塊肥皂、清潔工人也會再放一塊新的在籃子裡、可是不知道為什麼到了最後一晚、可能知道我隔天要退房了吧？所以肥皂沒更新、窗戶也沒把窗簾拉開、枕頭也亂放了、有點小失望

Overall i still recommend this hotel :)

Beauty Hotel Indeed.

I will definitely come back again to Beauty Hotel. The staff is very friendly, greeted by cleaning crew every morning I bumped into them. Check in and out was very quick and easy. The room felt like if it was just updated with comfy beds, clean remodeled nice bathroom. 10min walking distance to train or bus stops. Stores very near by. The whole 9 yards. You can’t go wrong picking this hotel. My friends and I had a great time.

Great place to stay easy to find centrally located ... There a Starbucks next door which is great... Breakfast was good Staff was excellent... Room were very very very clean... and the WiFi inside room worked great! Which was a plus ... There so many place to eat close by that are local .... Overall my stay was great and would stay here again.. One thing to note Check In desk is on one side of the street and the actual Hotel you stay at is on the opposite side of the street just FYI

Free breakfast in coffee shop below. Choice of American or Asian. Near metro, so you can ride to and fro to Taoyuan Airport. Lot of shopping around the area. Many eating places. But most places don't take Mastercard and Visa. They want Unionpay and Alipay. Being from the US you must bring cash (NT).

Used to be a good hotel

I stayed here for 3 nights for my business trip. Location is convenient. And it's located in pretty impressed area that have many book stores. Some minutes to walk to each MRT stations: Ximen, Taipei Main and NTU hospital Station. Hotel room is clean, even some rooms are small though it's still acceptable. Staff are very nice and helpful. They can speak several languages; Chinese, English and Japanese at least. Recently the reception desk of this hotel was merged with another sister hotel. It's inconvenient for me. When I wanted to leave my luggage, I had to walk across the road. You can have a breakfast at ground floor though do not expect too much. It's just a quick meal set to fill your stomach a bit. Regarding laundry, as it's described in their website, they offers laundry service with charge though, they don't have that service actually. In my case, I went to the coin laundry around 10 mins by walk to do wash/dry my clothes.

The hotel is fantastic. I made a 2 nights booking with hotel.com but amended it to 1 night Bec of changed of plan. To my horror when I arrived at the hotel at 9pm, I was told that my booking has been cancelled instead of amended. Hotel.com sent me an email regarding the change of booking but they cancelled it instead. However the hotel is kind enough to give me a room after an hour of waiting while they sort out with hotel.com. I have another booking with the hotel 2 days later and they upgraded me and apologised for the inconvenience caused and I am impressed with the way they handled the whole matter. Whereas till not I have not heard from hotel.com despite me sending an email to them and the hotel contacting them. Very disappointed with hotel.com as they almost left me with no room despite a pre paid room.

Comfortable room stay

Location is a bit distance from subway and shopping area but walkable. Plenty of food around the hotel, and choice of going to Ximen or Taipei Main station, or to NTU Hospital station. Location is very comfortable with lots of food outlets around. MRT station \"NTU Hospital\" is just 100 m away. Hotel room was clean and nice except the room size is very small. Hotel staff were very helpful. They took care of our vegetarian breakfast needs to the extent possible. The hotel is also just about 700m away from Taipei MRT / Taipei High Speed rail station. OK for a budget option.

A budget hotel set amongt the hostels on Chongqing road. Definitely cheap. Fun and funky vibe cafe where a quite good breakfast is served. Rooms are tiny and despite paying more for a room with a window, I got a windowless room (which I really really hate). Vibe / decor are nice. Neighborhood is meh and noisy (busy roads, near Taipei Main station)

Good location but disappointing experience

I have booked the grand double room as I have read that the rooms are generally smaller. However, the room that I got was not the same as the one that was shown on the web. While I understand that pictures are for illustrations, I have specifically requested for a room with windows and there was no feedback from the hotel prior to the trip. When I checked in, the only window was in the toilet which is as good as not having one as I will not be able to draw up the blinds at all. I called the reception and she said that the hotel was fully booked so the earliest they can arrange for another room would be tomorrow. I asked about it the next day and the reception said that there was still no room available and insisted that someone from the hotel must have responded to my request at the time of booking. I told her I did not get any replies before the trip. After she ran through her records, there was obviously no email from them so she gave a half hearted apology and said that there was a different type of room located on the 8th floor (the lift only serves up till the 7th floor).She told me if I decide not to take the room, she will jot down my request and the earliest that they can arrange for another room will be the next day. My friend & I decided that since we will be there for 5 nights, we might as well just wait.However, for the next three days, no one updated about the status of the room at all.It's ok if there was no room but please have the basic courtesy to inform us.

Hotel was adequate but dont get too excited about the breakfast. You have a choice of 2 sets both of which are inadequate. No substitutions I was told. No sign of any toast or eggs or cereal. Best to go one block away to Starbucks!!

Had a very good experience, especially it was my first time in Taipei. There are 2 locations on one street so make sure you double check the address before you book. Hotel staff was very helpful and even though I struggled speaking Chinese, they understood what I was trying to say. The room was clean and very comfortable. This is very convenient to travel to many places. I would recommend for first time for people travelling to Taipei and it is very close to NTU hospital station on the Tamsui line. I will definitely book this hotel again. Thank you :)

Moderate hotel that you needs.

Overall there are no problems in all the sections except the bed and the pillow. The pillow is too soft for me although I used two at once. Breakfast was special everyday is not same(not buffet type which you need to eat the same every single day you staying in the hotel). There is no laundry in the hotel.

Loved the hotel for its great location - within 10 mins walk from 3 stations (NTU Hospital, Ximen and Taipei Main stations).

The room is great if you just need a place to sleep and not much more. It's clean but extremely small. We can barely open our luggage without having to place it on the bed and there's hardly any space to hang our clothes. The walls are also paper-thin - not only can we hear people walking by outside, we could also hear the couple next door talking (in normal conversation volume), through 2 closed doors, no less!

The room was unexpectedly small, there were no space to place our luggage so we had to shove it under the bed every night (it was really inconvinient). If you are just looking for a place to sleep in and not planning to relax or enjoy the stay in the hotel then this could be it! not suitable for one with claustrophobia. We felt it wasn't value for money as well, as we could get a cheaper hotel in TaiChung that was bigger, better, newer and with more facilities. But perhaps it was because Taipei is the city so rooms were more pricey:(

I stayed in this hotel a couple of weeks before this stay. My review for my first stay was good.
But my opinion changed a lot during my last stay. Check in time is 3 am - and they didn´t let me go to my room one minute earlier. I had to wait there till exactly 3pm.
Room service is very slow. Took me 5 hours waiting and asking 3 times for room service till finally somebody showed up at my room.
The rooms are extremely small. For one person ok, but for 2 persons much too small. No place for luggage of two people.
Laudry service is very expensive: for example - washing of one pair of jeans is 140 dollar.

Compared to all other hotels I stayed in Taiwan - this hotel gave least value for money. And the staff was least friendly compared to staff in all other hotels.

The stay was good overall. Location is quite good as its walking distance between 2 train station. Near to ximending, shop and food all there. However the room is smaller than what i expected and what i thought i paid for compared to the photos. They only provide 1 keycard. Which in a way save environment and all electricity is switched off once you are out. However with the keycard taken out, the option of do not disturb is not shown anymore. In this case, it means that the hotel will definitely make up the room everyday. Of course service wise is good. However privacy wise i dont think so, as i dont have the choice anymore. Hopefully the hotel will review on this.

This little boutique hotel was great. Wifi speeds were blazing fast. If you can, get a room at the end of the hallway and towards the higher floors because some of the single rooms are very, very tiny (when I walked past them during cleaning, it looked like you couldn't even maneuver around the bed) and the noise from the street can be a bit loud. The room I got at the end of the hallway was super cosy, had way more room to walk around and was very nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast selections, while limited, were quite tasty. But honestly, you should probably skip the breakfast anyways to try the amazing Taiwanese street food around the corner. The location is very convenient. If you don't mind a 10 minute walk, you can walk to the Ximen station, the Taipei Main station or the NTU hospital station (that's the closest one, about a 7 minute walk)

Floor is wet as the water comes from the bath. The safe cannot be used as it's locked before we arrive. There is no wardrobe but just a metal stick under the table. If your clothes are not short, the bottom end must touch the floor when you use the metal stick to hold them.

Great location, but not much else.

It's super close to the metro station and Taipei station, so planning a day out is quite easy. The room, as stated in the description, is cramped, not even enough for my luggage, but the bathroom is surprisingly spacious. That's there were a few times at midnight when I thought of sleeping the bathroom instead. And the bathroom is well-ventilated, clean and user friendly - that's what I like most during my stay. The staff are okay, but the included breakfast could have been more dedicate. After all, people might prefer a local breakfast to this. In the whole it's a you-can't-ask-for-more type of hotel. The lesson: you have more choices at this rate - if you book early.

Worth for the price

Convenient location and modern design,
Breakfast is nice. Wifi is strong.
Clean, with a large TV

Yet, quilt cover is not comfortable and pillow is too soft

And, easy to hear noise.

住了4個晚上, 第一個晚上的房間, 零晨一直聽到沖廁所水聲和花灑水聲。然後又遇到了恐怖的靈異事件。我衝到地下找工作人員要求換房間, 但郤告知我不能換, 還說我樣子看上去並不是特別害怕。真的十分無助! 到第二天早上,終於換了房間。然後第二天晚上, 房間的浴室去水口就傳出極大臭味。然後數天都間歇性地有臭味傳出。在這酒店的經歷實在差到極致。

フロントが本館にしかなく別館には自動チェックイン機しかない。外国人にはチェックインしにくい。本館と別館の間には広い道路があるため本館に行くのが面倒。
