I stayed at Dandy Tianmu in Nov 25 and was so impressed with the quality in all aspect that I decided to stay at Dandy Tianjin this time. Equally delighted at how attentive, helpful and thoughtful everyone is (and I mean EVERYONE from front desk staff of all shifts to housekeeping to breakfast chefs and the service members at the restaurant area). They are personable and pays close attention to the needs of guests, and is ready to go to the extra miles, if they haven’t already anticipated your needs. I lost one Hermes diamond earrings and housekeeping found it for me. The breakfast aren’t a large spread yet every item is fresh, tasty, high qualify and thoughtfully prepared, with a menu that changes daily. I absolutely LOVE this hotel and will make it my home away from home when in Taiwan. And oh, the bed and duvet is comfortable. I slept well.

Room was spacious and clean, good sized bathroom with bath tub, good service, yet room window was frosted glass and wall in front of it so no views or much daylight plus it’s a no frills place, no gym or other facilities. Breakfast was ok and location is great with bars, restaurants, massage parlours and underground station close.

Cute little place off the main streets. Suggest getting a room with balcony if you want access to natural light. I didn’t do that so my window was frosted but I could open it to see a concrete wall about 20cm away. Nice enough room, very quiet even though I was right by elevator.

We happened to be there during edge of Typhoon. Still found some open restaurants nearby. Hotel had loaner ponchos and umbrellas which was nice. Free laundry and breakfast. I will definitely stay here my next time in Taipei.

Excellent hotel in a good location. I was in a business room and then moved to a more spacious elite room. The business room was fine but for the extra money, I preferred the brighter and larger elite room. Really good value for my stay. Breakfast had good selection and changed daily. Free laundry was really convenient. Quiet room even though faced the street Ability to order pineapple cakes at a discounted rate delivered to your room too. Will definitely come back.

Charming - hard to fault

I'm a frequent business traveller so I prefer my holiday hotels to have a bit more local charm. In this respect the Dandy Hotel Tianjin was perfect for me and the rooms are refurbished (bathrooms are excellent). The breakfast was also good and staff were friendly and helpful. One thing to note - I stayed in a \"business room\" which has a window but looks out over a very narrow alley. I like it since it was quiet, but it could be gloomy for some.

This boutique hotel exceeded our expectations. For a small hotel, the breakfast buffet was excellent. We had two rooms: One on the fire break (while it was a nice room, it had very little natural light) and one on the street (with lots of natural light). There's a nice park nearby. Recommend this place!

The rooms are in need of a paint job but they were clean and decently appointed. We thought that the hotel would be quite noisy but that didn’t prove to be the case. I never did get the HVAC working properly, every fan speed and temperature set seemed to produce the same result. Not much English is spoken by the staff but they bend over backwards to help you, very impressed by a young crew.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And the location is great. But the bed in my room was not particularly comfortable and the walls were white and nicked. The shower was hit and high pressure but hard to get into (it was in a bathtub that was high off the ground). If you have allergies to feathers, ask in advance for non-feather pillows and a comforter. It was very late when I arrived and realized all the bedding was feathers. The staff did find me non-feather bedding.

A beyond 6 star hotel experience

I have a total 8-night stay and I was not disappointed even though my last stay is nearly 10 years ago (always sold out). Not to repeat what's well known, I particularly want to point out a few very rare personalities. First of all, the staff communicates with their guests before, during, and after the visit. They email you potential on-site activities during your stay, send instructions for check-in, check on staff during the stay, and send warm goodbye when you check out. The staff both front desk and service members are very well trained -- no less than those in a 6-star hotel. I particularly want to thank Kim(berly) who shows great energy and enthusiasm to her job and guests. Her greeting and smile every morning brighten our day and make the stay very much like coming home. Thanks to all the staff whom I met in this trip!

The Dandy is in an awesome part of Taipei! If it interests you, I recommend walking to the Spot Taipei Film House (about 5 minutes away) then checking out the vintage shopping, cafes, and restaurants in that area. The customer service at the Dandy was also superb. Receptionists not only helped us arrange drivers for day trips, but would create information packets on things to do, places to eat, etc. for when we got to our destination. A special shout-out to Kim, who was particularly kind and helpful during our stay : )

The staff at the check in counter was excellent. Not only were they very polite, they were very eager to provide whatever assistance they were able to provide with some minor issues I was with my room.

I did not get their names, but it was the night time staff. Both the male and the female staff members were excellent. They were very patient and helpful with the minor problems I was having. They patiently tried to provide whatever help they could provide under the circumstances, and did not treat me or my problems although minor in nature like some kind of nuisance. I really appreciated their assistance and their attitude.

The room itself was excellent. For the price during I guess would be the off season can't be beat. The cleanliness and comfort of the room all are first rate. I would book my return visit without hesitation.

This little gem of a hotel has happy touches like gnomes on the stairway, screen printed animals on the windows, and airplane crackers in the café to help you get in touch with your inner child. It's a block from an MRT station and high-end shopping mall, and there are tons of great places to eat very close by. On a side street, so somewhat protected from the street noise.

A perfect location for short stay in Taipei

Friendly n efficient staff; the location is perfect for sightseeings , shopping n close to Taipei main Station with many restaurants nearby to choose. However, there are limited facilities available at the hotel; the lobby area is almost non-existed and the conditions of the room need some updates n renovations. Also there were no closet or drawers to put away clothings or personal belongings and I had to place everything on the wide table top or kept inside the suitcase( I know this may not be any problem for some).

Very friendly staff. They always made a point to stand and greet you every time you passed by the desk. Cute interior decorations and design. Wife liked the decor. Room was comfortable and a good size. Breakfast was quite large with many options for the small counter space they had. They provide umbrellas which came in handy on our trip. My sister and I are very glad to have booked Dandy Hotel for our trip in Taipei this time from 12-15 March. The staff there were very nice and helpful, they always greeted us cheerfully. Although the room is small, the bathroom was impressive and the room is clean and tidy. The daily free breakfast is exceptionally good and most of the food are different everyday. Location-wise it is very convenient except the hotel is close to a busy road and sometimes the traffic is noisy. The wall of the room is pretty thin, when someone from the next room closed the door heavily, my heart would skip a bit. Overall it was a pleasant stay at Dandy and I would recommend it to my friends if they need to travel to Taipei. I definitely will stay at Dandy for my next visit!

Due to the discomforting bed of previous hotel, we booked nearby Dandy hotel with its good reviews after 10 pm. Checking was smooth and we got an upgrade. Room was spacious , quiet and clean. The most important bed was very comfy and we got a good night sleep. Balcony and jacuzzi tub are just added benefits. Breakfast was just right and enjoyable. We wanted to stay an additional day but the same room was not available. Will pick Dandy Hotel next time for sure.

The hotel is located just a stroll away from ZhongShan metro station. There are quite a numbers of eateries and convenience stores nearby. We booked the elite king room for 1 week stay, it was clean and spacious. Though the pillows are not to our liking, we are very impressed by the sound-proof windows that keep out the noises from the street, so we can have a peaceful rest whenever we are in our room. Wifi is good and can be connected directly without password. The best experiences we had, are the cheerfulness and friendliness of the hotel staff. They are very helpful on giving good advises and suggestions for our exploration within and outside Taipei City. We will definitely come back again, thank you so much for the hospitality!

We had a truly fantastic time at Dandy Hotel( Tianjin Branch) in Taiwan. We were invited to a Christmas FEAST! There were delicious food , drinks, cakes and candies. There were even Christmas presents for kids. The hotel staff is very friendly and polite. They are able to speak English, Japanese and Mandarin. Not all able to but there is always someone to translate. Room is very cozy, spacious and nicely decorated. The is a separate bath tub and shower. The hotel provides nice buffet breakfast and simple afternoon tea. Daily housekeeping and very detailed on your needs. They also have laundry room facilities. Hotel is walking distance from metro less than 10 mins at normal pace. FANTASTICALLY GREAT HOTEL!! A great thank you to all the staff @ Dandy Hotel( Tianjin) for making our stay a memorable one. :D. I had an excellent stay at Dandy Hotel Tianjin. It felt like home away from home during my one week stay at this hotel. The staff were great. The hotel was clean and had a nice touch for decor for each floor. Breakfast was very good, snacks were available in the afternoon and coffee 24 hrs. Laundry facilities were free. The location is nice too, very convenient, lots or shopping and eats around the area. Zhongshan Station less than 10 mins walk. 7Eleven right across the street. This will be my go to hotel when back in Taipei.

The best customer service I have ever experienced at any hotel I have stayed at around the world. I travel a lot and I was very impressed that the front desk went above and beyond to help.
