Absolutely fantastic hotel, we couldn’t believe how good it was. Exactly like the photos. The hotel was built only in 2018 and the facilities are constantly kept in perfect condition and spotlessly clean.

In a quiet part of town easily walkable into the main attractions and close to a bus and a tram stop, a perfect sanctuary to rest at night time. All of the staff are so kind and polite, especially Francois who looked after us very well at breakfast time.

The hotel would be worth the price tag just for the comfortable rooms and location, but it has the added bonus of a free breakfast (with tons of choices and free mimosas), free luxury spa facilities and free home made lemonade and biscuits available at all times.

We can’t recommend this hotel enough as a boutique stay perfect for adults wanting a luxury escape.

Easy walk from the tram stop at the station - so only 40ish mins from the airport.

Our room was great, staff were friendly and helpful.

Spa is only open in the afternoon/evening and needs to be booked with reception, but we did this 5 mins before so still very easy.
The spa was quiet and relaxing.

Excellent hotel just outside the tourist centre of Florence. The room was fantastic and the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was the best we had during our trip. This is the perfect home base for a Florence trip as long as you are fine with walking 10-15 minutes to get into central Florence.

Overall, The Moon is an excellent hotel experience with fantastic staff. The only part that wasn't great was my check-in, and that's because the guy working the front desk watched me struggle with four bags, having to walk each one up the steps (solo traveler) on a very hot day (I had just walked from the train station and was clearly sweaty and exhausted), and made no effort to help or even to stand up from behind the desk and greet me. He wasn't on the phone, and wasn't helping anyone else (there was no one else in the lobby at this time). He barely even smiled. I thought it was strange. Everyone else I encountered was amazing - the guy who manages the spa - SO nice and helpful. Special shout-out to JoJo, the night desk clerk, who, when I checked out at 4 am, was SO helpful with my bags, offering me a water, helping me carry the bags down the steps to the taxi, and just so friendly and warm. Check-in should have been the same, if not even better.

The room is beautiful and SUPER clean. Definitely book a room with spa access. The spa is amazing, with different types of water therapy and relaxation that you can just use on your own for a window of 1.5 hours. You do have to book your slot in advance though, as they limit the number of people using it at the same time. I used it both days I was there. After long days walking all over the city, it was so restorative.

The location was 7 mins walk from the Santa Maria Novella train station and direct, close enough to walk along the river and piazza and into the city.

The hotel has ZERO idea how to handle medical emergencies. This is an absolute priority when travelling to a foreign country.

Firstly I’ll list some positives as the hotel had some nice things about it. The breakfast waiter was lovely and the cleaners were really good. The spa is very nice. The room was nice however being placed in the bottom floor there was a lot of sound which was an issue I was told not to worry about by the receptionist even though it was in fact an issue.

The main reason for my 1 star. The receptionist was absolutely useless. When I told him my girlfriend was suffering from illness and that we needed urgent medical help he didn’t know what to do and kept saying that he only started working here in November chuckling and therefore didn’t know the protocol. As her condition was worsening he had only messaged the manager to find out what to do and had just found some incorrect phone numbers online. I eventually (using AI instead) found the correct number and she had to be picked up via ambulance! He did not once ask if we were okay or seem to care at all and I’m disgusted by this to be honest. Even worse, the next day I asked for some waters for her as she was still suffering as the hotel didn’t provide daily water which they should do. And when I went to check out I had been charged €6 for this. He still failed to ask about her condition even after knowing that she had to go to hospital. This situation is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous.

This is a great hotel but a bit far from our points of interest. Staff are amazing and so is the spa. Breakfast is great, everything included with your stay except for 2 items on the menu which was a little strange (fresh fruit plate and egg Benedict), not sure why they decided to charge for these 2 items. I think it would have been a better customer experience to include both, but not a deal breaker as there were enough options. The beds were hard and not very comfortable for us and it was very hot our first 2 days as we were told A/C could not be turned on until april 20th or when temps reach 80 degrees. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Overall a very good hotel but not sure we would stay again.

The staff member working the shift on April 4, 2026, the day of our departure, was rude and unhelpful. In contrast, the staff member on the previous day, the day of our arrival, was very kind and helpful. He assisted us with everything and even booked a restaurant for us.

I have only good things to say about this hotel. The location was perfect, with just a 10 minute walk to the train station. It was close to the river and great walking distance to the city centre and local attractions. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

The included breakfast buffet was excellent, there was a large choice of sweet and savoury options, plus 6 made to order items such as pancakes, omelettes and more.

The room itself was spacious, clean and modern. The amenities were excellent such as the mini bar and coffee maker. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was clean, with a good selection of toiletries and a nice rain shower.

The only minor negative for me and this is personal preference only, was the temperature of the room (it was too warm) you could not adjust this and the only thing the staff could do was turn the heating off, they were not permitted to turn on the air conditioning due to city restrictions.

Overall, a pleasant two night stay, I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay again if I ever came back to Florence.

Our stay of 8 days was incredibly nice. Ended up going with a smaller room and did just fine, would recommend a larger room if you tend to bring more than a medium amount of luggage. Everything is clean, comfortable and very organized. A few things definitely stood out to both my wife and I. We ate the breakfast offered each morning, high quality and VERY healthy. We take our dietary nutrition very seriously and was able to stay on a track eating here. One of our favorite things was interacting with Francois who I believe is the manager (or main waitstaff) of the hotel restraunt? Francois is very impressive. He remembered my drink each morning and had our breakfast orders going within short order. He was always pleasant, polite and professionally interactive. Really made sure we got what we needed and we were on our way for the day. My wife and I have never received such great service and I want to make that clear. Also, the very nice woman (I wish I remembered her name) that cleaned and organized our room was the absolute best. We tipped both Francois and our room staff because they absolutely deserved it. Lastly, the SPA. The spa staff always smiled and opened the doors for us, treating us to the full experience each day. My wife and I walked about 81 miles in the 8 days we stayed, the spa was great way to close the evening. We give this place more than five stars and will definitely be back. Would recommend to everyone.

The front desk speaks multiple languages, and is very informative about the area around the hotel. The hotel is bright & clean, and they are the first hotel I stayed at in my time in Europe that didn't lock me out of the air conditioning setting.

The spa was nice and relaxing and they make sure not too many people are there at the same time which is super nice. It was great after walking 20,000 steps in a day to sit in the turkish bath.

They packed me a box breakfast the day I had to leave early to go on an excursion, and they offered one the day I went to the airport. Overall, amazing value for the price.

The only complaint which isn't on them is that there are not many restaurant options immediately next to the hotel - just one. However, I spent most of my time in the city center so that was fine.

Room as immaculately clean. Steam shower was amazing. A little annoyed about the A/C, it turns off when you leave the room, so it didn’t stay cool in our room when we were gonna all day. Spa access was a lil confusing, it wasn’t use as you wish, you had to reserve a slot in a 3hr window which was at dinner time. This resulted in us only using the spa once. Breakfast had a wide selection, with a small cook to order menu. Was delicious and quick. Bed was extremely comfortable. Tram station for the T2 line was right in front of the hotel, when coming from the airport you have change T1 line to T2 line, but very simple.

The hotel is located a 25 min walk away from the heart of Florence so very easy to access the main attractions within the city. The hotel itself is immaculate and the staff are extremely helpful with dealing with any questions you may have. Being able to access the spa everyday for 1 and 30 minutes is an excellent perk as the facilities are well worth a visit, you are also able to book massages for an extra fee. The breakfast also gives a variety of options to start each day and the room itself is spacious, with the shower particularly being very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel- our room was gorgeous and immaculate. Great location with public transportation right outside the door. The staff was English speaking and very kind as well as helpful with recommendations and answering our questions. We had requested breakfast be included when we booked but realized we needed to catch an early train after check out the next day. The front desk offered to have a bag ready with bfast items to take with us. Next morning they greeted us with that when we came down-bottled water and juice, yogurt, croissants and fresh fruit all packed up in a little shopping bag. Great customer service and experience overall and we’d definitely stay there again!

The staff member was checking us in quickly but then he lost attention as the phone rang and we were sent on our way. The pillows are poor and flat, uncomfortable to sleep on. There is a bar but no one seems to be there, the receptionist doubles as a bar person and does not always know measures or drinks. €10 for a glass of wine!! I only paid €4 in Venice! There was no kettle in the room, only a coffee maker but they did me one when I asked which was good of them.

Wonderful stay. Staff very warm and friendly. Celebrating daughter's birthday, they offered a bottle of prosecco but we can't handle our booze in such quantity so we got some lovely juice drinks. The rooms are spotless, bedding and linens top quality, location is very quiet. Breakfast was excellent with a very large selection of items. We did not have room for the hot selections but they looked delicious. Wish we could have stayed more than one night, will certainly be our top choice for our next stay. Location is very walkable to the main train station and to the city center, but set back enough that you have a quiet neighborhood feel.

This is a little gem of a hotel. On the lower level there is a spa that has a fabulous hot tub, sauna, and steam bath as well as relaxation room. A guest can use it for FREE for an hour and a half. Also a massage is available for fee. The breakfast is fabulous. And there are a couple of Indian restaurants within a couple of blocks in case you get tired of Italian food. It is not right near the Duomo but maybe half hour walk away.

Amazing 5 night stay. Florence is stunning. Hotel facilities were above and beyond. The Spa is a must during your stay. Would definitely stay again. So centre to local trams, trains and walking distance to all attractions. All staff were attentive toyour needs. Breakfast is lovely, made order eggs. We stayed in a suite with balcony deginatly worth the money.

service and spa made the difference

Not having a kitchen and easy access for food choices nearby caused me to leave four stars. However, the spa, and the service at this boutique hotel made up for this. They even gave me a boxed breakfast for my early morning departure.

The Moon hotel provided care and excellence with every aspect of my stay from communication before my arrival to providing my room early after check in. The spa was clean and well managed, transportation was arranged and on time. I was even provided a take away breakfast for early departure to the airport. Thank you!
