This property advertised as having WiFi. I need WiFi for my job and this place doesn’t have WiFi. False advertising. I’m very disappointed on how the some of the staff handle this problem

壁が薄くて音が丸聞こえで、下の階の作業音もうるさい。
最初に通されたツインの部屋は陰毛のようなものが落ちていて掃除が不十分。アメニティも足りていませんでした。
また、ど真ん中に柱がありとても邪魔でした。
クレームをいれて部屋を変えてもらいましたが、壁の薄さは変わらずでした。

The staff were welcoming and the room was clean with a spacious and well appointed bathroom, but that's where the niceties end. The room was small with maybe a meter of space around the bed. You could hear people in other rooms playing the TV or loudly having sex. The bed itself was rock hard and it was impossible to get comfortable.

While the AC was on (necessary since the room was so small), there was a bright blue light on the control panel that made it impossible to turn off and even harder to ignore while sleeping. I was able to cover it up with a sock, but then there was another bright red light hidden in the ceiling that was impossible to block. The front desk manager told us was mandatory due to Taiwanese law and there was nothing they could do.

My partner and I ended up leaving at 4am due to the hard bed and constant bright lights in the room that were impossible to block out.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for more than a 3 hour visit with your partner if you catch my drift. I did like the bathroom and found the place to be clean but it's not somewhere I would recommend anyone to sleep.

Very connivent to shop, food eatery and convenient store, can get food downstairs 24 hours if you feel hungry, room is clean and bathroom is plus, is worth the price you paying for, will stay again if I visit Taipei again

Although our room is small but well organized. Breakfast is very good and the food is well presented. Staff are well trained, friendly and efficient especially the front desk. Bathroom is the best we have come across, it is a 5 star bathroom.

The management could have used more air freshener for the entire floor. It smells stale when I stepped out of the elevator.

Room was nice and clean although it is not spacious. The bathtub has a TV if you decide to soak in a bit. This is a plus. Breakfast is simple with 2 choices to choose from. Sound proofing has been the talk in this hotel's reviews so far. I can't see what they could do about it. Get ear plugs ready.

I was charged an additional NT 100 for checking out at 1 pm. LOL

Not sure if I would go back again.

I want to protest against the xpedia. This hotel is not in the hotel but in a very old market, so it is hard to find it, and the metro is far away.
I felt that I was cheated when I checked in and checked in the hotel hard, and I think I can not use this hotel for this price. This hotel is not a hotel.

Expedia would like to introduce a unreasonable hotel to the customer and pay me a reasonable penalty for the offer.

Overall good stay. Only complaint is the cleaning staff threw out my non-disposable razor. That was pretty annoying given the handle was metal. I don't know how someone would think its something to throw away. Other than that the room was nice, bed was okay, a little hard tho.

The hotel was great, the location was a little difficult to find at first because it's in a small intersection and hidden upstairs but was in a great location. Once checked in, the room was great, good size bathroom, very clean, and staff was very nice. Overall, I definitely recommend staying here.

Excelent in all areas,,Army Hsu and all staff were very attentive!!
Airport shuttle would be nice even if you charged 50% of the nearby taxi service.
At least your guests would feel safe, comfortable and realize that they are saving a lot on cab fare.
You might also suggest to guests that they purchase an UNLIMITED ticket for the MRT.
We got an unlimited ticket, saw lots of great sites plus we saved a ton of money, even our trip back to the airport was paid for.
Tickets are available for any number of days.

Walking distance to many places. Downstairs my hotel there's many food streets where u won't go hungry even till late night. 7eleven n Family mart is just around the corner. One thing about this hotel. The toilet inside my room is an open style mirror door where is only cover by a curtain. I'm not sure about the rest of the room but if u like those toilet can request for it I think.

indeed as many have reviewed the lift to the hotel have weird smell but it is nto a minus point since it is not the hotel or the hotel rooom itself that we are staying and sleeping. Once we take the lift up the hotel smell great. Room is comfortable and price is reasonable still. Distance to MTR is walking distance and will pass-by alot of restaurant and there is fast food restaurant too.

For the price I was mostly happy...room a bit on the small size and no room for my laptop..as in no desk..had to use shelf and sit on my suitcase but I was not there to use that so was small inconvenience only. The staff seemed quite nice and helpful. Noise level was fine. Breakfast is a bit limited but when I asked for just toast they were happy to oblige.

Clean hotel but uncomfortable surrounding

The sound proof of the room was not good. I can hear the music which playing outside the hallway and also hear the activities for the other room or on top of the floor like hitting something, showering, cleaning, watching movie, etc. The hotel was on 2nd floor and the surrounding was abit weird unless you like hawker stall. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly.

Modern design in old Taipei

The hotel is a little hard to find as it is on the second floor of a building with many more businesses and it is located on a one way street/alley. The area outside the hotel is \"old\" Taipei meaning there are food vendors lining the street at all hours. There is a Burger King just 2 blocks away if you are like me and can't handle traditional Taiwanese food. The lobby was very small but efficient. The design was sleek and what I would call ultra modern which seems to be a trend in Taiwan. It's a design that would have popular in the US about a decade ago. The room was small but plenty of room for 1-2 people. Bathroom was clean and again small but pretty common size for Asia. Overall a nice hotel for the price. I would recommend for couples or business travelers but probably not families. But to be fair I didn't see other rooms so maybe the family rooms are bigger.

3인용 방 ( 더블 + 상글) 사용 하였는데 작은 쇼파도 있고 아주 작진 않아요. 모든 가구와 욕실 이 깨끗하고 새것 같습니다. 블로그에 조식 이 에슐리 같이 잘나온다고 해서 선택 했는데 그렇지 않구요.이제 바뀌었눈지 A메뉴 B메뉴 선택 라도록 돼 있네요. 조식 별로니까 편의성 아니면 선택 안하셔도 될거 같아요. 바로 앞에 국수집 있구 버거킹 맥도널드 있습니다. 중산역 3번출구에서 10분 정도 걸어가는데 가는길에 다이소도 있고 식당도 많아서 걸어다닐만하구요. 바로앞에 신신 백화점 있어요. 다좋은데 다만 한가지 방음이 전혀 안돼요. 이게 그냥 하는말이아니라 진짜 진짜 방음이 안돼서 방과 방 사이에 뭐 거의 벽 이 없는것처럼 느껴져요. 가족들과 가면 민망함의 극치를 달릴수가 있습니다. 정말 생라이브 ... 심지어 창문이 없는데도 불구하고 밖의 소음 까지 들리더군요.

Great central business hotel in Taipei.

Nice stay, central location. Dont bother with breakfast, there lots of choices around the area from Burger King to Cantonese dim sum. Their western breakfast offerings are very limited, but a great complimentary coffee machine that makes lattes and cappuccinos.

A small and confortable hotel

Although the room is small, it is equipped whatever a 4 star hotel should be (bath tub, free Wi-Fi, Safe, mini ref, etc.). For 1 or 2 nights, the noise of neighborhood rooms is a bit louder. Of course, it depends whoever living nearby. The price is cheap and the location is good (down town of Taipei) and there are shopping mall, cinema, and restaurants nearby.
It takes about 5 minutes walk to the main bus stops and 10 minutes walk to the nearest MRT station.

The room was small yet cosy. The counter staffs were really friendly as well! Amazed by the housekeeping lady who made our beds as she nicely folded our clothes (which were left all over the bed) and left them nicely on table.

The hotel is also brilliantly located near a movie theatre and a 7-11 outlet (just across the street). the train station is also located near the hotel. The hotel is also located very near red-light districts, which some might find attractive.

The breakfast wasn't that great though ._.

Overall, the hotel is a nice place, both for couples or for friends :)

it is quite a nice hotel. But very disappointed with the front desk. I asked for a spare key and was told I will be charged if I lost the key. But never mentioned how much. Unfortunately we left the key in the room so the air conditioning won't turn off but when we return it was not there and there was also no housekeeping that turned it in. Thus we did misplaced the key and I was shocked that they charged us 500 for the key. I asked if if I find the key and have someone return it will they refund the amount and the said \"no\". I asked to talk to the manager and refused to give the name claiming they change manager everyday and they don't come to work not until 12noon. I was very surprised because there is always a manager on duty in hotels or at least the supervisor. After insisting they agreed to write me a note saying if I returned the key they will refund me,the deposit. I was very disappointed that I had to insist to charge lower for the key and to be refunded once we found it. It took quite some time to settle this problem. It just ruined my stay.

Clean, Comfort hotel with excellent services!!

Both me & my friends truly enjoyed our stay at the Bfun!! We stayed for a total of 3 nights. The staff at the front desk were really helpful to give us all info we need to move around. It is abt 10-12 mins walk to the subway station which we find it manageable. It is either you have a small squeezy place in Ximending with congested crowds or comfort of hotel with a short walk away! we prefer the comfort & love the breakfast the hotel provided. We had previously stayed in one of the beauty hotels chain in Ximending & the breakfast spread isn't as good as Bfun. The café mocha in the lobby is great to start off the day!! During the mid day when return to the hotel, we are able to relax in the lobby with a cup of nice café latte or café mocha!! We would love to stay at this same hotel when we visit Taipei again!! Thank you so much to the pretty front desk staffs for making our stay a wonderful one!!

This hotel provided a very bad experience for the two of us. When we arrived, they first spent 10 minutes checking us in, taking a deposit even though we had paid in full in advance, before telling us that they didn't have any business rooms with double beds available. Only problem was that we hadn't booked a business room, we had booked a \"Deluxe Premium\". They of course offered to upgrade us for a price.
After a lot of bad noise they agreed to give us a double room, which turned out to be tiny, with a rock hard bed and no electric outlet in the bathroom, or close to any mirror.
It turned out breakfast wasn't included, although the Hotels.com booking said it would be.
Other than this, the room was clean and was cleaned regularly. They also give you a local cell-phone which comes in handy for foreigners, although you can't get online with it. The wi-fi was the same standard as all other hotels, in other words horrible.

Stayed from Feb 24th-26th of 2014 with GF. Had a little trouble finding the entrance, as the address numbers are not clearly printed on the surrounding buildings. It's almost directly across from the ticketing booth of the movie theatre that is across the small street. Room itself was excellent: >50\" TV, free video on demand (including a variety of fun 18+ shows), modern, and had a new \"spray your bum\" toilet.

Cons:
Like most hotels, you can hear people who are talking in the immediate vicinity outside your room door. We had a particularly loud speaking family in the next room to us, and could only hear muffled voices when we were about to sleep.
Second thing may be particular to our room, but there were a couple mosquitoes in our room each night (which then swiftly met the bottom of my slipper). Not really the hotel's fault given, y'know, Taiwan.

At the cost of a two Sir Robert Borden's for three nights, I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to any friends looking to stay in a central location.

Not really worth it for the price

First check in into a room with a faulty air-condition and door lock. Toilet bowl has sound of water leaking all along. Was given only 1 room card. Made a request to switch room and end up getting another card to keep the air-con on for conditioning while we went out. after 6 hours of tour and came back, the room was still stuffy. Demanded a room change then they gave us a better room. Most probably a bigger better room catered for such room change. But most probably wasn't used that often which in turn has quite some flies in it.

Oh and they claimed to be cigarette free hotel but once u step out of the lift, you'll immediately know it's not. Hotel is located at level 2, so not really nice.

Simple boutique hotel

Since it was a single room for a disabled, the bathroom was bigger than the main area which squeezed in a single bed and side table. The room odor from cleaning leaves little to be desired. The walls are paper thin so everytime someone flushes or takes a shower, you can hear it. The front desk personnel were friendly enough though they didn't speak English well enough to rectify any problems. The breakfast was fine. Location was very inconvenient and far from the subway if you had luggage. I had a problem with the wifi in the hotel which they insisted was my phone so I had to go to a wifi coffee shop to get on line.

Location is very good, one stop from Taipei Sta, walking about 25 minutes. it was hard to find because its not a big hotel. there is no floors, it is basically one floor hotel with 40 ish rooms. food market under the hotel, the smell kinds stuck in the Elevator.
Staff were helpful and kind. helped us to book a tour to go to Kyufun and other places. Coffee and Tea with cookies served at the lobby. the room was clean and nice, shower too Bathroom has a wash-let, Big plus
TV and VOD is for free, Complimentary water and soda with some snakes.
Various Kinds of Breakfast but we couldn't eat any, I guess its because the smell of the food around the hotel and at Kyufun it made us not trying the Taiwan's cuisine. but the serial were very good.
after all, it's a good hotel for nice stay, and I would stay there again.

Outstanding value for a three night stay. friendly service, really clean room (practically brand new), fun shower/bath area with wooden finish and colored lights (and tv), climate control, diverse and delicious breakfast, free coffee and snacks, convenient location in Japanese-centric shopping area close to zhongzhan, firm bed, big TV, etc. The room is small but has everything you need, with the exception of shelving for clothes - there is a small rack for hanging things and the bed is designed to let you store luggage underneath. Heartily recommended for a stay of 3 nights or less, especially given the price paid (same day booking too).

Hotel is located at lvl 2, the lift smells so badly. From the pictures we thought we would have a bathtub in everyroom, but was wrong. My friends and I paid the same price yet mine was a super tiny rooms which we barely had space to open luggage and space to walk, and his had everything opposite of mine (including bathtub). Upon asking the receptionist, they said bathtub rooms is only subject to availability. Breakfast was included, just a simple breakfast so don't expect much. Room sound-proofing isn't good as well. Location is near a movie theatre that opens till late, starbucks right opposite. Overall, i give it a 3/5.

Noise everywhere at night. Water shower sound, people talking, Even u can hear the room key tap sound from next door. Will never stay here again

The hotel was well located, but the cab drivers did not read English so I had to get a translation of the address to get to the hotel. Below are noodle shops to cater to the late crowd who attend the movie theatre across the street. The staff were very polite, and were very accommodating. The breakfast that was included was really good, had the full range of western to Asian.

It's hard to rate

The first nite was a nightmare, the room 214 was tiny and full of machinery noise during the nite, couldn't sleep at all.
After we changed to the other room, the stay was quite fine, so, I guess in the end it's really depends on how the staff arrange ur stay.

In a small space like this room.

These hotel location is a bit far from metro station but is close to a cinema n fast food like Burger King. Room is very small but a lot of interesting thing in a small room like this, the toilet have bathtub, sauna(yes sauna) and also a TV. Breakfast is very wide range and hotel staff are is very friendly. Few small problem is that the air conditioning temperature lowest it can go is only 23 degree and don't have windows. Other then that overall rating for this hotel is 4.5/5.

Small but clean. Good location

As stated in previous reviews the hotel is on the second floor of a residential building and the entrance is opposite a cinema in a side street. The rooms are very small but clean. Most rooms dont have windows. The bathroom and the shower were great although the room walls are thin.
In terms of location the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Zhongshan MRT station which allows easy access to main attractions.
Cheap street food is available downstairs.

Good stay in the center of Taipei.

City center. Very convenient to central business and administrative districts close to MRT, bus lines. Most cab rides were $NT 80-200. (About US $3-7). Clean and comfortable hotel.

The room we stayed at was really clean. It was kinda small but it's got all the essence of a luxury room in it, including a bathtub with a tv. The breakfast buffet offered wide range of choices and was really tasteful. For it's price, I would definitely consider going back to this hotel. The only gripe i have is that it's a bit noisy in the morning when other guests walked by our room. Other than that, it's a good stay for us.

Strange location, Overpowering Air freshener

I liked the neighborhood of the hotel, as it was very convenient, and the hotel price was very reasonable. However, I didn't realize that the hotel was located on the 2nd floor of an old apartment building complex above a row of night market food vendors. The room was clean and comfortable, but the only thing I was didn't like was the overpowering air freshener that made the place smell awfully synthetic and uncomfortable.

Very friendly receptionists. Clean rooms if not a little small, they had everything you need. Quiet inside despite the busy location. Great choice for breakfast, no massive complaints at all. I'd recommend it for business of leisure.

Fantastic city center hotel

I truly enjoyed the stay. Hotel was right in the city center of Taipei. Typical of many Asian hotels, the lobby is on a higher floor. In this case, the 2nd floor. There is a big sign out front for easy directions. While on the small side, the rooms were done in a very modern and clean decor that made it seem bigger than it was.. Service was very good for a 41 room hotel. The AC was cold, breakfast was good and all day gourmet coffee. The location was close to various attractions and mass transit systems, I would stay here again!

Clean hotel - not bad considering the low price

I was initially concerned about the hotel, as it's on the second floor of what looks like a dilapidated building. But it is quite new and clean. Our room was small but clean, although it did not have a window. My partner stayed in the same hotel a week later and his room ended up being much larger, so I guess there are varying sizes. Breakfast is included. Location is quite central in the Zhongshan area. I had a nice stay and the rate was very economical.
