I had a fantastic stay at the Ambience. The hotel staff were excellent. From checkin to departure they were always helpful.
The room was very good with lots of amenities. Free snacks and soda every day, lots of bottled water and coffee and tea.
Breakfast was good with a wide range of options. I especially liked the selection of small cakes everyday.
The coffee machine in the Breakfast area was available all day for coffee, espresso, latte etc.
The hotel was close to two metro stations and there was an abundance of restaurants in the immediate area to a short walk. A welcome bonus was the free self serve laundry room with detergent provided.
I enjoyed my stay and will definitely pick Ambience again next time I am in Taipei.

Shout out to everyone from the reception to the breakfast area who are always polite and ready to assist you with any request, from heating your left over food to offering you with bottled water if you needed more. The staff were friendly! They allowed us to deposit our luggage while we waited for check in time. We landed from a red eye flight and got to the hotel a little too early from taoyuan. They even helped us arrange a cab from taoyuan to the hotel upon arrival! There’s definetly a lot of breakfast places if you search 豆奶 on Google maps. It was really cool to be in downtown Taipei after studying abroad and being out near the zoo. We had the corner room and it was really spacious. If I ever go to Taiwan again, I would stay here.

It is a bit of a walk to the nearest MRT station and the beds could be a touch softer, but otherwise excellent everything.

Breakfast options varied with some constant and others changing daily, for example same congee, scrambled eggs and salad offfering every day but different broth soup and “entree” type dishes every day.

Lots of restaurant options around hotel.

Highly recommended if distance away from an MRT (about a 10 minute walk) is not a dealbreaker.

Pros: very good service, clean rooms, and equipped with good facilities. I requested a room on higher floors and they were able to provide it. It provides free breakfast and the dishes were different every day. There are plenty of convenience stores nearby.

Cons: transportation wise it is quite inconvenient, as it is a 15-minute walk from any nearby metro stations. The bus routes nearby are also not frequent, but it is quite close to Taipei Main Station so it's quite easy to get to and from the airport or other cities. The soundproof is quite bad as we often hear noises from the drains/pipe from the room upstairs at night.

I would recommend staying here as it offers great service and the room is of decent quality, while the price is relatively lower than other hotels in central Taipei. However, you may need to be prepared to take more bus rides/taxi rides.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and plan to use it again during my next trip to Taiwan. I would like to express my gratitude for the excellent service provided by the following staff members: Lynn, Mei, Sally, Carlos, and Eddie. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and offered outstanding hospitality.

However, I do have one suggestion for hotel management: it would be beneficial to allow international travelers who arrive early after long flights to check in ahead of the standard time. I was disappointed that we were not permitted to check in early, especially after a 15-hour flight from the U.S. While I understand this may be company policy, it would be considerate to revisit and revise it to accommodate those traveling from such long distances.

You can tell the property is aging a bit from the carpet in the room and some other small details too. But still a good hotel.

There is a service self machine for tiny lattes, mochas, and hot chocolates in the lobby but it would be great to have just regular coffee available also. The walkable option to purchase a coffee feel a bit far for early morning, so it would be great to have this amenity either in the rooms or lobby.

Amazing customer service

This is a real gem for customer service, the front of house team are all super welcoming and helpful. There is a free laundry room and they give free snacks and noodle pots after 9pm in the bar area. Our room was a really good size and bed comfy. We were at the front of the hotel which was a little noisy but i had ear plugs so wasn’t a big problem. Reception also give free ear plugs if needed. Few mins walk to lots of food & drink options & metro lines.You get a lot for your money here, greeat stay.

Great stay at this hotel - very clean, staff were kind, got snacks, there were midnight snacks offered and the breakfast selection was different everyday and I was well fed. Walkable to an MTR station (maybe 8-10 min?) and close to convenient stores and restaurants that stay open until late. Quiet area and not hectic at all and felt very safe. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

We loved the spacious and quiet room. The bathroom was huge, the bed super comfy and there was a plug centre on the bedside table, which was really convenient to plug all your electronic devices. The hotel is close to the main station (10 min walk). However, there’s no metro station close by.
The front staff were very attentive and always super respectful. For Breakfast, you had several options than were different every day for the main dishes.

Location is convenient but about 10-15min walks to any one of the three stations. Love the free breakfast, high tea snacks, cup noodle for supper and also the free self service laundry.
