Rooms were clean and everything we needed was there. The traffic was noisy late into the night which made getting to sleep difficult. It was frustrating to find out after making the booking that a car stacker was used which required an appointment with orientation. Given we were not sure when we would arrive, it made it impossible to make an appointment to have the orientation which meant we could not use the parking

My name is Caroline not Shane however I found my one bedroom apartment very spacious and clean. The check-in instructions were clear and easy, the furniture was beautiful, following the beach theme and the bed was so comfortable.
I would have loved an extra doona in the wardrobe as it was a little chilly at night. Overall I really enjoyed my stay.

Overall, very good. My 1 bedroom apartment looked into a wall opposite the bedroom with windows higher up, however, it had a privacy \"scene\" stuck to the windows plus blockout roller blinds, so no issue. But the dining area facing the same wall had no blind or privacy screening. Privacy wasn't the issue there, but without a blockout blind and with a GLASS door between the bedroom and the living area, light from outside meant that the bedroom was never dark at night which is a major problem for poor sleepers. Good sleep hygiene command sthere be a dark room. Please rectify for future guests, or me, as I may stay again.
Also, for a 4 night stay, with meals cooked in and therefore washing up, why not provide more than 2 sachets of washing detergent, and 4 coffee capsules. Also, there were no sachets of salt or pepper! Otherwise quite comfortable and very quiet. Brilliant access with the GOKI App.

We stay here every year for 6 - 10 days at a time and are happy with the accommodation. Walking distance to everything. All amenities supplied though salt and pepper would be good as I buy this each occasion and in a self contained apartment it would be nice.
We are happy here though and it is clean, quiet and well presented.

Our apartment was a great size, plenty of room for my family of 4. It was clean with everything we needed. Self check in was easy enough and loved the pin entry to the apartment, saved us having to carry key/card around to get in and out.
Only thing we didn’t like was the front sliding door didn’t lock! Being on the bottom floor street facing, fortunately the front yard fencing is tall so felt safe enough.

Nice quiet area. Very secure personally. Street parking option can be a bit of a nightmare, but haven’t tried the paid option.
Unit itself is fine for an overnight bed. Shower leaks into main bathroom area, stank like an old gym bag. Bed was comfy but the sheets feel like plastic. Plates and drinkware looked and smelled like they had been rinsed but not washed.

On-site car parking is not a viable option and should be removed from the venues details. They require the vehicle to be inspected and then the driver to attend an induction, but they will only run the induction at certain times and days. The \"Onsite parking available only on request\" is not a good enough explanation. To be candid, it's a bit of a con.

The apartment had everything going for it. Very clean and had great facilities.
I could have done with a power point near the vanity in the bathroom/laundry for a blow dryer. I unplugged washing machine to use blow dryer. Minor issue.

The one thing we found disappointing was that there was no parking at the property.
Due to weekend the on road parking was very rare to find. We had to drive around to find a park.

Wonderful venue and a central location not quite in the centre of the hustle and bustle. But a short drive or tram ride into the city. Clean, tidy and safe. Has everything required for a weekend stay or a few days away. Responsive customer service too.

The Hamptons Apartments is a relatively small but well appointed place to stay for an individual or for a family. It is close to the 109 tram line which is a direct route to Melbourne CBD and even closer to numerous restaurants on Bay St as well as Coles, IGA and First Choice Liquor. Very courteous staff and quick to respond to any request.

Nice apartment good for a family. Walking distance to tram stop, shops, supermarket, pubs etc. Parking can be tricky but we found a spot in the street with no restrictions so left the car there all week no problems. Great area for walking and a beach just at the end of the street. Close to the city, only ten minutes by tram. Apartment needs some TLC and the oven didn’t work but overall we had a good stay.

Property did not inform us of car park renovations until we requested car park induction!!! We felt they did not want us to park car at property since they only informed us of maintenance/renovations when we brought the issue up!!! There were no workers about for the car park renovations plus there were also cars parked inside during our stay. Other properties would advise pool/car park etc under maintenance.
Getting the key to room was a major hurdle !! The key locker didn’t work properly and we were given 3 codes before can actually open locker …they said there will 2 key passes and yet there was only 1 key pass given which caused a lot of inconvenience !

The checkin process was not great. The person did not arrive at the agreed time so we were waiting on the street - no apology when she did arrive and she wasn't overly friendly or informative. Sending an email 2 hours before arrival with information about the apartment for people who are coming off an international flight is not ideal especially if they don't have access to data on their phones.
The duvet on the bed had a big yellow stain on it and dried blood - not acceptable. They changed the duvet the next day for us but put on a duvet that was to small for the bed so we didn't end up using the main bedroom.
The shower had not been cleaned very well - they cleaned it again for us the next morning.
The upstairs roof area had not been cleaned so outdoor tables had beer stains on them and the rubbish bin was overflowing (we were there at 1pm in the afternoon)
The room had no windows to look out of as they were all painted so it felt very closed in.
Overall we were disappointed with the apartment. The location however was excellent.

Guests were locked out of their apartment with no access to any hotel assistance or emergency contact. It was really distressing to them and other guests, myself included, for them to be stranded with no other options because there was no support onsite or offsite. I spent a couple of hours trying to contact help on their behalf

The bathroom sink is blocked had to use to toilet basin to brush our teeth, no extra rolls if toilet paper supplied had to buy my own as no staff on site and no tissues so I had to use the toilet paper to blow my nose. Other than that very nice and comfortable

Secure parking promised but not available due to malfunction of compact parking system which was not advised on website. Had to park 2 cars in a public paid car park 1/2 a block away and not secured. Cars filled with private items which led to major anxiety overnight wondering if they would be broken into and/or stolen. Not impressed at all. Gordon on reception was fabulous and unfortunately bore the brunt of our frustration and disappointment. Unit had some damage and freezer, washing machine and dryer were not clean. No views as per website.

Awesome space for a friends trip away

We had a fantastic stay. We were staying with our bridal party for our wedding. The hotel was awesome. we had 3x 2 bedroom apartments. Very spacious.
The premium suite was superb with a beautiful balcony looking out over the bay.
The amenities we awesome. We even had a Buttler’s pantry in the premium apartment. The beds were very comfortable.
Be aware that the car parking available is in stackers. These require a bit of effort and only fit small cars and sedans. Absolutely nothing bigger. It was a bit of fun to use the turn table, but it’s good to be aware of this when you are planning your trip. There was plenty of street parking with no weekend restrictions, and no restrictions over night.

Also, the fitness centre was closed because of Covid so that was a bit disappointing.

Apart from that we had an exceptional stay. We had 12 people staying between the 3 rooms. We were very comfortable and we’re able to gather with enough space for dinner each night.

We loved it and would highly recommend booking here!

Close to the beach

Location of the apartment was perfect for beach, boat and shops. We had read reviews so we knew to catch the tram not drive, and as guessed the one bedroom apartment had no view. Inside everything was roomy, clean and very comfortable. WiFi was excellent and stayed connected across multiple devices.

Nicely decorated, well located and very clean. We would definitely stay again. The only negative was I made an error during the booking process, typing in 12 instead of 11 (booking 1 too many nights).The booking was non-refundable and I was unable to resolve the error. I emailed the property within minutes and they agreed to amend the booking on the condition I made a request change through Expedia. For the life of me I couldn’t work out how to make a request to Expedia to amend the booking. Our reason for staying at Port Melbourne was because our booking at Thredbo was cancelled due to fires and we had to wait out improvements in fire conditions and the opening of roads.

Room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Disappointing aspect of the stay was the lack of awareness of car parking and in particular the lack of information around the type of car parking available. I had to enquire as to whether car parking was available as not included in the details, to which I received a very timely response however no mention that the nature of the car parks made them unsuitable for larger vehicles. The stress in trying to squeeze a Hilux into one of the spots put a real dampener to the beginning of the stay.
