The owner of the Hotel - Gabriel made the visit spectacular- helping us with tours, phones, dining and general questions - always available.
The hotel is located close to Jaffa gate - and in a very nice square with incredible dining and things to see.
The hotel is basic - but clean, up to date, well
Looked after and an excellent deal for the location. Highly recommend!!!!

This was a great find for me as a lone traveller wanting a couple of nights in Jerusalem. The room was petite but that was fine. A kettle provided which I always find handy (though I didn't find such a handy socket for its short flex). comfortable bed. Ensuite.

The shop runs the check in and that's handy since it's an all night shop (including Shabbat). The hotel itself is right next to the Jaffa Road and in a night life spot which was great. It's literally 5 or 10 minutes walk to the Jaffa gate and you can get the tram (light rail) to the central station (make sure you have moveit or a rav kav card!). I could go exploring and then have a break back in my room before round 2 or before dinner since the room was basically in exactly the right place!

Friday night is super quiet in Jerusalem old city and downtown. But not outside my hotel unfortunately. Car horns even until 4 am. Not the hotels fault but the second night with normal bar noise was much better!

Honestly, if you're looking for a pretty cheap but private option for exploring the old city and downtown, and can cope with some night noise (if you choose not to join in - you should join in, it's a good life!) then this is pretty good!

Deceiving picture

The first thing I saw was the sign of the hotel. I thought i arrived at slums. The website picture is very deceiving.
The room is very tiny and we felt we were in the basement with a small window opening nowhere.

The location is good and the host was pleasant. But this place is not worth the money.

This property is central, very clean and the people were very friendly and helpful It is a little loud with the bar nearby (they are everywhere in Jerusalem, so not sure you can avoid that anywhere) but the property does supply earplugs.

Lovely but unseasonably cold in Jerusalem

The folks were very helpful. Very central location.. It was really cold weather... The good news about that is that the local bar was quiet; the bad news about that was that the hotel could not offer a heater that adequately heated the room although they did try mightily. Very tiny room and GREAT shower and exceptionally clean.

Great Place at a Great Price ... Would Stay Again!

Absolutely great place to stay if you are using this as a place to sleep and not as a resort. The room we had was quiet small on the street level. Just the basics: clean room, double bed, cable TV, nice shower and small refrigerator. The hotel seems to be part of a 24/7 convenience store in the front since you check in there. This is nice if you want a snack or you happen to be there on the Sabbath when a lot of places are closed. The location is fabulous, about 50 steps off of Jaffa street, the main street that is closed to cars. Only the L1 line street cars (trains) are allowed. You are literally a 10 minute walk to the old city. The train stop (Central) is 5 blocks away if you want to walk a little less. Landing in Tel Aviv, we took the high speed train to the main station in Jerusalem, walked outside, purchased a ticket in the machine and boarded the L1 train. Four stops later, we were at the Central stop, exited, walked down the little hill about 5 blocks and looked down a street to the left and saw the Super Market sign. We went into the market, checked in, walked a few steps around the corner to the entrance and that was it. We were there three nights. Since we were leaving on Saturday (Sabbath), the manager told us to stop in on Friday at the market and he would schedule a local shuttle bus ($17) to the airport since public transportation is shut down. Anyway, a good place to stay in a GREAT location. And a lot of restaurants on this street were open on the Sabbath!

Their location is superb. You have to walk a short ways to an alley after you get in your keys from The grocery store in front. All of that is not bad. well I really dislike was the seven times I asked for the television to be repaired or replaced and still nothing is done. I heard another couple complain their air conditioning was not working. When I went to the TV settings it told me that the network connection card what's the problem. That could only be that the bill was not paid for a new card.
Other than no TV the room is a really good bargain for the money and I would come here again if the the TV was in operating order.

Close to the old city and great local amenities

I was only in town for a day, and this place was close to everything I wanted. The market attached to the Hotel is open 24/7, and there is a cafe that is also open every day immediately next to that. The rooms had everything I needed for a pleasant stay, and were a few minutes walk to the old city. Would definitely stay again.

This in a perfect location just outside the old city. 7 minute walk to the famous Jaffa Gate (entrance to the old city). It’s a basic clean room with a comfortable queen bed. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel no longer has a \"front\" but is now a type of small mini supermarket store. The rooms are clean and the hotel's central location means that you can walk to the Jaffa gate and also you are in downtown Jerusalem. But-this is a big BUT, the hotel is right next to a all night club with live music and drinking and screaming all hours of the night!!! If you don't need sleep and like to drink this is the hotel for you.

The one great thing was the location. Walking distance to the Old City and minutes to many restaurants. The bad: I didn't so much mind having a window that had no view, but I had to keep the window closed because of the noise. A literally next door night club played music till the wee hours of the morning and brought un-welcomed bass tones into my room. I was so tempted to just walk out of my reservation and find another hotel, but I stuck it out because I was checking out the next day. I was only there 2 nights; the first night was manageable because I checked in very late, but the 2nd night was painful. The room also had a musty smell. I know it's an old building, but it took too long for the water to heat up and I hated wasting the water just waiting for it to warm up, so I just took a cool shower. I know I will be back in Israel, but I would never stay here again.

Location was great, but street too narrow for tour buses to pick us up directly from hotel. Loved the quaintness of the room & that it offered opportunities to meet locals. Close to great restaurants and footsteps from grocery market, making it very convenient. Also, walking distance to Damascus Gate, which we really liked, also near pickup hotel location where tour buses picked us up. Wish it had had bathtub and microwave. Front desk service and daily housekeeping was excellent.

There is no reception, so you have nowhere to wait or rest when you need to check out at 12 and you need leave the city sometime later. There’s a weird sickly sweet smell in the room and the bathroom (the bathroom door swings so doesn’t close completely) faces the bed directly which was extremely irritating to me. You can pick up and drop your keys in the 24 supermarket ( which is the makeshift deception ) which is extremely unprofessional. Right in front of the hotel there’s a broken pipe so there is a constant drip of water from above and therefore the front of the hotel is yucky.
The hotel is very close to many eating places and fairly close to old Jerusalem. The room and bathroom were clean. WiFi works. Way too expensive for what you get.

Clean hotel near Jerusalem’s Old City

The Central Boutique Hotel,is in a great location, a short walk from Jaffa Street. While the rooms are small, and the bathroom smaller, it’s location and cleanliness makes it attractive. The only drawback is that is next to a nightclub that has loud music at night on weekends, and alley lights that need to be addressed. The music and noise often lasts until 3am on the nights that they are open.

Our stay at Central Boutique was outstanding and far exceeds my expectations of a Hotel stay. As world wide travelers we have experienced several hotel stays and by far this is the Best Hotel Location stay we have ever experienced. We Thank Gabriel and His staff for accommodating us from Car rentals, mapping locations of the Beautiful City of Jerusalem so that we can visit and surroundings of all Israel. We are grateful for the daily upkeep of our rooms. Always fresh and clean. Clean and all you need, no better location

Very much enjoyed our stay here. It's like a tiny home - perfect for two or one person, and emphasis on the tiny. But it's all you need for a short stay in Jerusalem. Short walks to all the right places, and right off the tram route to get almost anywhere else you want to go, like MtHerzl. Can't care too much about street noise or lack of a lobby and actual hotel facilities. Friendly and helpful staff. For where it is and how new and clean they keep it, you won't beat the price!

The hotel is a good shock when you get inside. Dont be neevous when you see the lobby is a market store. Room is clean and updated to be new. Hotel is best location you can find in beart of machena yehuda buy the only negative is you hear noise till late in the night because of the crowd outside so close by and the train. Noise was only negative.

Great room, good service.

To find a room in the center of Jerusalem at a highly competive price, is already a plus. Then to have a room that has been carefully thought out and has everything in it you need, and it all works is a bigger plus. I met the owner Gavriel who was very helpful and his 24 hour/ day staff were equally so. Although this isn't a hotel in the truest sense, it has everything a hotel offers. Food is readily available at many cafes and restaurants literally out side the door. I'll go there again

It is very difficult to find a good hotel in Jerusalem. People who have visited Jerusalem would agree that it is not easy to find a hotel with a good balance of reasonable price, cleanliness, location, service, and safety. The rooms are small, but clean. The location is perfect. Steps from Jaffa Street and about a five minute walk to the Old City Gate (Jaffa). You check-in at the market next to the hotel, but the staff are friendly and helpful. It's also convenient to have a 24/7 shop with everything you need next door.

Very beautiful but small room (no.104 - the rooms are not similar, only 5 rooms in hotel). Because it is in the center of town there is alot of noise from people and electric tram, noise also from next room (slamming of sliding door - . the sliding door of clothes capboard us also the door of the toilette - either of them stays open), Very clean and tidy, alot of small things like wine glusses, ear plugs, soaps and more. The shower is very small and it is diffiult to get in and out of the shower.The room is small and there is very little place near bed (need to walk to the side) The check in and out is in a supermarket in the front of the building - a little strange.

Had a wonderful stay. The hotel's location could not be better -- being right off Yaffo and minutes to Ben Yehuda and all the nightlife of central Jerusalem and less than 15 minutes walking distance to the gates of the Old City. The extremely caring owner goes above and beyond in helping his guests with whatever issues come up. Very impressed with this hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Central Boutique Hotel in Jerusalem. The rooms are on the small side, but the location (only 10-15 minutes walk from the Jaffa Gate) is terrific. Lots of small cafes are nearby and it isn't hard to catch the tram. The staff are also very kind and helpful, especially Ron and Gabriel, who went out of their way to help us book a tour to Masada and Ein Gedi. Yes, the front desk is in a convenience store, but this has its advantages as well.

Amazing hotel in amazing location.

We stayed at the Central Boutique Hotel for 5 nights in February, 2016 and had a wonderful experience. The owner, who can be found at the convenience store around the corner, was very warm and friendly, offering us whatever we needed, including directions and traveling advice. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Jerusalem, and was only topped by the price. It wass only a 5 minute walk to Jaffa Gate. The room was small, but very well put-together, modern, and spotless.

If you're looking for a great, economical place to stay, we definitely would recommend staying here. But book early, as there are only a few rooms.

I have nothing to complain about regarding this hotel. The room was spotless and modern. Located right off Jaffa st. in the heart of Jerusalem. Customer service excellent and the price was great. I was allowed to park right in front of the Hotel and the staff would move my car if it needed to be moved.

This is perfect if you are just looking for a place to sleep at night.

No security whatsoever. On our last night someone knocked on our room door at 3am after shouting Anna Anna for like 10 minutes. I was dead scared. The front door kept opening and closing....it was just highly ridiculous. Great neighbourhood but hotel itself is total rubbish. I wouldn't stay there again and won't recommend it at all.

I had never experienced this type of place before. Registration in a shop is odd and then you go around a corner to basically a corridor with 5 rooms. Nothing else.

The room I stayed in was probably the smallest and it was clean and functional. Had the \"trappings\" of a good hotel but so weird being in just a room with nothing else.

Great, safe location and clean, modern rooms. The AC worked great. There is no lobby or front desk; you check in at the 24/7 convenience store/market around the corner. The staff was very nice and helpful. There were a couple of minor problems: the hairdryer was missing and the hot water takes a few minutes to heat up, but the clerk at the market got everything straightened out for us.

We stayed during a major holiday, so it was a bit noisy in the room. We couldn't tell if the bass thumping through the walls all night was from a night club or the temporary outdoor stage set up for the holiday. But that is the price one pays for being directly on the main street and ear plugs kept it at a manageable level.

You are surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, and pubs, and are only about 10 minutes walk from Jaffa Gate to the Old City. The tram stop is steps from the hotel. The neighborhood has a very cosmopolitan feel to it.

The room is small, but you shouldn't be spending much time in your room in this neighborhood; you'll want to be out and about.

We would definitely stay here again.

Gem of a boutique hotel with phenomenal service!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! I originally had booked a hotel in East Jerusalem that turned out to be inconvenient and subpar, so decided to switch hotels at the last minute. I was fortunate to find the last available room at the Central Boutique Hotel, and booked it.

From the moment I checked in, it was obvious that the proprietor takes pride in the customer service offered by himself and all of his staff. I've seldom felt so welcome anywhere!

The hotel is in a perfect location, just off Jaffa Street and very close to a light rail stop. A few minutes' walk or light rail ride brings you to Mahane Yehuda Market or Damascus Gate. There are numerous restaurants and cafes within a 5-minute walk -- including Cafe Hillel just downstairs, which offers a discount to hotel guests and serves the best breakfasts I had in Israel.

I highly recommend the Central Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting Jerusalem!

あまり良い口コミを見ていなかったので不安はありましたが、設備は古くてもキチンと手入れされており快適に過ごせました。
スーパーや飲食店も近くにあるので食事にも特に不自由は感じず、エアポートバスのバス停も徒歩圏内にあるので便利に利用させていただきました。エルサレムのホテルを三ヶ所利用しましたが、最高のサービスを求めるのなら別として立地条件、室内の広さや空調、必要最低限の物は揃っている、それでこの価格ならエルサレムのホテルの中では良い方だと思いました。

Die Unterkunft ist vom Busbahnhof schnell mit der Straßenbahn zu erreichen. Auch die Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele Shops und Bars, weshalb es nachts auch mal lauter werden kann. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist in Ordnung und recht neu. Es gibt keine Rezeption, man muss zum Kiosk nebenan gehen um den Schlüssel zu bekommen.

チェックインは隣にある24時間（シャバット中も）営業のスーパーでする。スーパーの客が多い場合は、チェックインやチェックアウトで待たされる可能性有り。実際時間帯によってはかなり混むこともあった。
部屋は古い建物をリノベーションした感じで清潔だった。ただし、狭いので動線の確保に苦労する。立地はダビデ門に近く非常に良い。
スタッフは親切で、チェックアウト後も荷物を預かってくれ鍵がかかった倉庫に保管しておいてくれた。
隣からの騒音が夜中3~4時までうるさいのが難点。騒音はクラブの重低音が響いてくる感じなので防ぎようがない。

It is not a real hotel. There are only 5 rooms and you check in at the supermarket next door. The room was very nice, the bed was good and the bathroom was nice and clean. Felt more like home than at an ordinary hotel. Very close to the old city, the tram and shops. Perfect for a few days in jerusalem. We will definitely recommend this place.

Klein, fein, zental

Das „Hotel“ ist sehr klein und hat nur 5 Zimmer. Die Recepzion ist ein Shop, welcher 24 Stunden geöffnet ist. Die Shopmitarbeiter sprechen kaum englisch. Das Zimmer war eher klein aber modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist gut, sehr zentral und es hat viele kleine Cafés/Restaurants/Bars gleich in der Nähe. Zum Jaffator braucht man ca. 10 Minuten. Die Touranbieter haben ein Problem beim Abholen direkt vom Hotel, da die Strasse für die Busse zu eng ist. Am besten gleich Treffpunkt beim Leandro Boutique Hotel (3 Gehminuten) vereinbaren.

goed apartement top lokatie top behandeling

kamer eenvoudig maar netjes iedere dag opgeruimd en netjes zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel eigenaar heeft ons met problemen ontzettend geholpen moeite noch kosten bespaard zonder ook maar 1 euro extra te rekenen weigerde zelfs een goede fooi het is een top lokatie om te vertoeven 10 minuten van oude stad metro voor de deur alles makkelijk te bereiken met openbaar vervoer rondom eetgelegenheden in overvloed op de dag en avond gezellig druk en de veiligheid op straat is optimaal heel de dag houden veiligheidsmensen de boel goed in de gaten en zijn zeer behulpzaam kortom een zeer goed verblijv

Wyjątkowy hotel w centrum, przy starym mieście.

Znakomicie położony (przy głównej ulicy, gdzie kursuje Light Train, dookoła mnóstwo knajpek i sklepów, 6 min piechotą do Jaffa gate a 5 min do New gate), niewielki ale nader sympatyczny hotelik. Bardzo przyjemny i życzliwy właściciel (pokój dostaliśmy przed południem mimo check in od 15-tej, dostaliśmy też bezpłatne miejsce do parkowania przed hotelem i bezpłatny upgrade do pokoju o wyższym standardzie! ), pokój nieduży, ale urządzony naprawdę ze smakiem i wposażony we wszystko, co trzeba. Dodatkowo właściciel prowadzi całodobowy sklep spożywczy w obrębie tej samej posesji otwarty też w szabas i święta-bardzo dogodne! Nie było też najmniejszego problemu z pozostawieniem bagaży po check out. Szczerze polecamy!
