Breakfast was great with good variety of quality food. Fantastic view of the harbour. Surprisingly quiet for its location and very little internal noise. Luggage storage available before check-in and after check-out and comfy seating in lobby to hang around.

Staff were lovely and helpful, lots of choice at breakfast, nice to have fresh cakes and coffee in the afternoon, comfortable beds, clean shower, but the carpet on the room not really clean, or the drawers in the desk. Would've been nice to have sockets by the bed.

We were very glad that we booked Home With Hotel. The setting was beautiful, right on the harbour and with view of the cathedral. Our bed was lovely and comfy and the room temperature was just right, not too hot or too cold. Bathroom was spacious and shower was good. There was a good variety at breakfast although staff were sometimes a little slow to replenish. We enjoyed the Fika in the afternoons ( free hot drink and cake). We only had the complimentary dinner once. Please beware the food is cleared away very quickly at end of service!! The bar is very small and not particularly inviting so we went out to neighbouring bars. One criticism would be, they only had breakfast tea available on one out of the five days so if you're a serious tea drinker TAKE TEA WITH YOU or purchase some from the local SPAR!

Friendly, helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Lovely room overlooking harbour, armchairs in room to sit and look out. Bed very comfortable, room was warm, not too hot.
Food - excellent, lots of choice at breakfast, evening meal very good.
Was advised at check in that rooms not cleaned everyday, this suited us as didn’t need/want this, if we needed anything we asked and this was addressed straight away.
Highly recommend this hotel, would definitely book again.

Nice hotel and well placed for exploring.
Rooms were ok but as usual with this hotel chain, there was very little space for suitcases or putting clothes. Bear in mind our visit was winter so we had big coats, jumpers etc, it was a struggle to put them anywhere.
The cold buffet and cold breakfast were great but the hot food was seriously no where near hot. Even if you were there when it was put out, meats were temperate and surely would not be acceptable by food standard’s agencies? Hot drinks machines were mostly out of action too.

Excellent location and so good having free tea and coffee all day, overlooking the harbour. Enjoyed the sauna too and booked the rooftop jacuzzi at the sister hotel for a small fee. (£4). Breakfasts were delicious and really set us up for the day. Enjoyed the fika cake on days we were around. I’d considered the evening meal as a bonus - if we were around and liked it it would save us ££ from going out. As it happened we ate there 4 times. I’m a veggie and it was limited but ok. There were always 4 salads, usually one with lentils, beans or quinoa which made it more of a meal, a leafy salad, a pasta salad (not always veggie) and a slaw of some description. Usually a veggie friendly soup, focaccia bread. The mains were things like pasta bolognese or pork and mash with veg, so not any good for me but where there were separate elements I had some. Eg plain pasta which I added roasted veg too and some cream cheese. I also had seeded crisp breads and cream cheese and/or houmous. This fitted us as we had excursions or other plans so a quick ish meal and for free meant we spent the money on other things. Comfortable room, hot showers, friendly staff. Would recommend and would love to go back.

Room was not cleaned during our four night stay, but we had clean towels when we needed them, so wasnt a problem for us.
The breakfast and evening meal was a nice touch and there was coffee and tea whenever we wanted.

The hotel is in a great location. I was going on a number of organised tours and the hotel was no more than 5 minutes walk from the pickup point for all of these. This enabled me to fit in the maximum activities during the time I was there.

The staff were really friendly from the minute I arrived to the minute I left.

I let them know in advance that I would be arriving late and they asked whether I would like them to prepare a cold plate because I would miss dinner. This was great, mixed meats and cheese plus some salad items and bread. Coffee is always available.

The room was fairly small but as a solo traveller there was plenty of room for me and it had everything I needed.

The fact that breakfast and dinner was included was a bonus as again it helped me maximise the time I was there as I didn’t have to find restaurants to eat in when that’s the part of solo travelling I don’t enjoy.

I loved Tromso and would book to stay at this hotel on any return trip without hesitation.

The hotel was perfect - the location is amazing. As they say property is all about location, location, location. Home Hotel With is right in the centre of town, with the bus terminal, boat terminal and main street all within 150 metres.

Staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was compact (as booked) but was perfect. Tromso is an expensive city so having both breakfast and dinner included was ideal. The food was good with a good choice of dishes.

Where would I stay if I ever go back to Tromso (and I hope to, to see the midnight sun)? Home Hotel With for me is the only show in town.

Lovely hotel. As it's not huge, it had a lovely, cosy atmosphere. Staff were all great. Very helpful and efficient. We loved the breakfast, with good choice of hot and cold items. The afternoon \"Fika\" was great and the lovely evening meal was a real bonus. The room was very nice. We overlooked the waterfront, which was fabulous. The only slight downside was absence of storage space. A very small recess in the wall, just inside the door, with 4 coathangers and no drawers whatsoever. Having said that, it didn't detract from a very enjoyable stay and we would stay again if we go back to Tromso

We stayed in a Superior room which had a great view over the harbour. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water and a good shower. The only negative was the carpet, which was a little worn but to be honest with the view it really didn't matter!

The booking included breakfast and a light dinner. Breakfast was a buffet with with hot and cold options and plentiful.

Dinner was more limited but there was still plenty to eat. If you want a vegetarian dish then book at reception and the cook will prepare one for you.

The hotel was in a perfect location for the city and tours.

Highly recommend this hotel if you're planning a visit to Tromsø.

I was unfortunately given room 201 which was directly above the restaurant area and next to the stairwell. This meant that every night was disturbed by the staff moving /dragging the furniture around on the wooden floor and guests going up and down the stairwell. I raised my concerns with the reception and was made to feel foolish and was told that I should have called the front desk. When I tried this option on subsequent nights no one answered to help me. It’s a shame, as the hotel is quite nice and comfortable, but I had such poor sleep here that I would very much recommend refusing room 201 (and probably 202 as well) if you decide to risk staying here. I am sure the hotel will reply that I could have done xyz but having expressed my concerns in person and was met with indifference there seemed little left to do but accept my stay would not be an enjoyable one.

Our stay was lovely, the service is great, the staff are nice, the free fika and dinner were a great addition and the free coffee and tea all day long were good. Great location, very walkable.
The only thing I would change is cleaning the rooms, it's okay not to clean every day, but once in two days maybe would be nice. Four nights without cleaning or even taking out the trash was a little too much.
Overall we had a great time and defiently will be back if we come to Tromso again.

So when being diagnosed with a serious medical condition and unable to travel, could not get a refund. Lesson learned, but won’t book this hotel again

Excellent location with super friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Bonus of included evening meal and afternoon snack in price. Decor a bit tired in places but the price point is about right and the location makes up for it. 2 minute walk from drop off point of airport shuttle bus. Definitely worth paying for an upgraded room that looks out over the harbour for great views of the arctic cathedral. I was very happy with my stay here and will use again next time in Tromso.

Fantastic location and fjord view from our room. The bed was very comfortable and the bath nicely renovated.

The breakfast and dinner were simple foods and tasted good. The meals definitely saved us a few dollars!

The location is close to many tourist attractions. We walked across the bridge to the cathedral and it took us an 25 minutes each way. Nice view from the top of the bridge.

We would stay here again. The carpet and bathroom robes are a bit tired and will hopefully be updated soon.

Awesome place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner is served which is a plus since restaurants are so expensive. The dinner varied everyday but the breakfast was the same-which was still good. The rooms are small but to us that was not important since we are not in a the room all day. We reserved the water view and let me tell you, it’s so worth it. It tends to get noisy at night. Very noisy. I was surprised that the snow was not removed around the perimeter of the hotel when all the other places were cleared. Nevertheless, it’s right on the heart of the city center and it was so convenient. Near the airport too-just a 20 minute ride by bus. There’s a 7-11 and a Kiwi supermarket which is super convenient and worth it. The tourists shops are way overpriced, but surprisingly the clothing gear way cheaper than the USA and worth it in buying so get some. The hotel does not provide touring options but the Radisson Blu is a few steps away so you can book there. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend.

This hotel’s main attraction is its location and excellent staff. They provide meals (breakfast, tea and dinner - not sure about lunch). Some may find that an attraction. For us only breakfast mattered and that was good.

The hotel itself seriously needs an upgrade. The beds are small and mattress uncomfortable, the carpets are worn and grotty and there is no storage nor closets.

There are other better options including other Clarion hotels in the vicinity.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They didn't have breakfast but did have a late afternoon tea and cake time. Dinner had a choice of salads and a couple different things like soup, meats, and cheeses. It was located near lots of shops and places to eat. It was also walking distance to all the excursion meeting spots. However, they did not have housekeeping services. You could change out for clean towels, but the rooms were not cleaned, or the bedding changed during your stay. They did not have a shuttle bus to and from the airport, but the local transportation is very good, we would recommend taking a taxi to a from the airport as the airport express buses are just about the same price as a taxi and the taxi will get you there much faster. We would stay there again

We arrived - the staff were amazing. We went to our room. Total disappointment when opening the door. The room had grubby carpet. Small bathroom and only shower gel no hair products. Worse there is no storage - we had to live out of our suitcase literally for 4 days. We asked to change rooms to one without carpet as my daughter has allergies and they were immediately triggered by the carpet. This was facilitated extremely efficiently. The replacement room was exactly the same but without carpet and if you don’t pay to
Upgrade to overlook the bins!!!! The room wasn’t cleaned the 4 nights we were there - unless you pay extra. Sheets not being changed is fine but 4 nights with the same tiny towels was not great. The breakfast is fine. We only ate dinner there once as it was cold and not very tasty. The afternoon cake is the same every day. The saving grace for the hotel is the staff and the location.

The good things people say about this hotel are all true: the included breakfast and dinner are great, the ability to use a sauna is fantastic, the front desk has always been friendly and helpful. The view of the water is fantastic, and the location could not be any better.

I have a few minor complaints, however: the water from the shower was lukewarm my entire stay, and the drain in my shower drained slowly so that water pooled around my feet. The staff is said to clean your room every other day, but I've found that they've probably visited only three or four times during my eighteen night stay. There is not a lot of storage space, and the bed frame and mattress both tend to slide around a lot, requiring constant adjustment. The furniture in the hotel can use an update, and a lot of the furnishings and decor have definitely seen better days.

With all of that said, my stay here at the With was a mostly comfortable one, with just a few minor complaints here and there. The staff was most accommodating for helping me with my taxi booking and other questions regarding the Svipper bus app. I think if there was a remodeling/deep cleaning/total maintenance overhaul for the hotel, and if the staff cleaned every two or three days as a schedule and not, what appeared to me to be at least, a random occurrence, I think the Hotel With could be a truly excellent experience.

Yet again, I will said, I am mostly satisfied, and would be glad to book at the With once again.

The view from the hotel is amazing..we had booked a room with the view and it was worth it..quite close to the bus stops and walking distance to most of the places..all the sight seeing meeting points are less than a 5 minute walk. There is a direct bus from the airport to the Scandic hotel close by..so on a summer day it's perfect..we went in November .. there was ice all over, and on top of that it snowed and rained for two days so it was slushy and wet and slippery..and we went with a big suitcase so lugging it from the bus stop even if it's only a few hundred meters was horrible..and there is no service to take the luggage to the stop from the hotel either..taxi might have been a better option if we hadn't already bought the return ticket for the fly bussen to the airport

The hotel provided free breakfast and dinner and evening tea and cake..which was really good..it said a light evening meal in the website so we thought it was going to be a soup or something but they had a soup? 3 different salads, rice and some protein..which was unexpected... so we were pleasantly surprised...they even had cake for evening tea free of cost..

The rooms had the necessities..quite small no frills, but the view made up for everything... on the whole the loved my stay in tromso..

Location, location, location. It could not be any better. Absolutely pay for a harbour view - that is what makes this hotel...
Good breakfast - lots of choice. Loved the cake and coffee in the afternoon. We never had the evening meal so can't comment on that.
Downsides - absolutely no storage in the rooms. We had a superior seaview - the cases were just on the floor and we had to step round them - you simply can't unpack anything. There is one rail with c 4 coat hangers and that is it.

Our flight didn't arrive until after normal check in clises but we just sent an email and staff made a note we would be late arriving.
Staff were great, very friendly and always happy to help.
The room was comfortable, we slept well and there were chairs to rest up. We had a great view out over the harbour and surrounding hills.
The room was a little dusty and hotel staff do not come in to clean or replace anything during the stay so we had to go to reception to ask for toilet paper. There is an alcove with 4 clothes hangers but no other clothes storage at all.
The communal dining room/ lounge room were lovely. The inclusive eveningeal and snacks in the afternoon we a pleasant surprise we hadn't expected. All meals are buffet style so the food gets a little cool and the coffee wasn't the best.
The hotel is in a great position for the town centre and expeditions from the harbour.
Would definitely stay here again but perhaps for a shorter break (we stayed 7 nights) but all in all it was great.

Property was in excellent location overlooking the harbour. Only use this hotel for a maximum of 2 nights as due to the hotel policy the rooms are only cleaned for one night stays. We stayed 4 nights and our room was not cleaned during this time. Breakfast and dinner were of good quality.

Great central location & rooms with view of the water. Great staff - all were helpful & efficient. The food was ok with the welcome afternoon tea & cake, particularly as many aurora tours started at 6pm, before the start of dinner service. Overall we would definitely recommend it.

It is showing a little wear and tear in places, but not to the detriment of the overall feeling of the hotel.

One little annoyance was the very limited space for putting away clothes; there was only hangers, a small (high) shelf above the hangers and one small drawer in the desk.
