Lovely breakfast and incredible view. Staff were also very friendly and polite. Only issues were that our door wouldn’t close a couple of times during our stay which meant going up and down to reception and waiting for someone to fix it. Also only in Norway have we had to pay extra for the spa which is disappointing

The Dock is hands down the place to stay in Tromsø—seriously, why would you choose anywhere else? The location is perfect, just a short walk to the city center, attractions, and all the tour meet-up spots, which made everything incredibly easy.

The rooftop igloos are a standout feature, offering a spectacular view that really elevates the whole experience. Everything was spotless, modern, and well-kept, and the staff were genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay.

If you want convenience, comfort, and a little wow factor—this is it.

A great, modern hotel with a bit of personality and some great design features.
Our room was close to the bridge so busy with people walking past but if you look past that the views of the mountains were great.
Breakfast was amazing, with a huge choice and a barrister making coffees.
The location of the hotel is very handy, close to buses but also on the trendy side of the harbour with good restaurants nearby.

Great stay, super helpful friendly staff, really clean modern hotel. We loved staying here, it was also in a great accessibly location. They gave a lot of extras in the room etc but we found the minibar to be incredibly expensive. Other hotels also had little bites to eat and tea/coffee free of charge in the lobby which this hotel did not.

Excellent location, very new, good facilities and extremely friendly staff.
However I have never endured such substandard beds, leading to poor sleep.
I find it incredible that a hotel selling itself as “top end” gives its guests mattress toppers placed on top of a sprung divan rather than an actual mattress.
There is also an issue with the capacity of the restaurant meaning that on several occasions we could not have an evening meal.
This hotel has obviously had good investment in terms of facilities and its look. However it seems to have missed the basic point of a hotel which is to provide somewhere for guests to sleep and eat.
Looks good online but disappoints in reality. This is a shame as it could be excellent if they focussed these core needs.

Nice design both for the hotel and the room. Cool facilities like outdoor exercise area and access to rooftop. Restaurant on 10th floor was top notch. Location is fine, it's a bit on the edge, but the city centre is small so it's a short walk to anything.
Generally modern and well appointed room, with everything you could expect, albeit crammed in a space that's very small for a \"quadruple\" room. Fantastic bed. Everything looks nice, with good choices of materials.
It could be great, if it wasn't for the many cost-cutting measures which are a bit difficult to accept at this price point: no blind for the bath window so everyone in the street can see you until there's enough steam, poor shower screen so the whole floor gets wet and the floor is NOT heated, no tissue papers, no coffee machine, room booked for 3 but only 2 cups, 2 pairs of slippers, etc.
Overall, it's a good hotel, but it's hard to understand the price charged. Every other hotel we stayed at in Norway from Oslo all the way to Svalbard was much cheaper for a much bigger room.

The hotel has all the amenities you need (gym, spa, in-room safe, breakfast buffet, 2 onsite restaurants, a rooftop viewing platform to catch the Northern Lights from, room service, in room mini bar, etc). We had a superior king room (room 428) and it was very clean and had a nice view over the harbour (south facing).

Upon to check in we were greeted very nicely and allocated to our room, however when we penetrated the room it appeared much smaller than advertised for, when returning to reception they stated that this is the room and they didn’t have any available, however weren’t very helpful. The tv did not work in the room despite trying several times, only once this was an issue then we were offered an alternate room. The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great central spot and close by to everything. However some of the staff could be more polite and smile more.

Best experience EVER! Hotel location, cleanliness, and amenities were great! The hotel is very luxurious. The breakfast was incredible! The part that I believe was stand out was the staff! There were two people that helped us with check-in and general information! We also had issues with flight delays and lost luggage and your staffs kindness and help made a huge difference in our trip. This trip to Norway will be unforgettable for me but the dock 69 will have a place in our heart forever as well! Thank you!

We stayed in Room 701 and it was outstanding. As a corner room, it offered breathtaking views over the city, fjord/harbour and mountains, and we were even able to see the aurora from the room when it was active. The décor was warm and stylish, the room spotless and cleaned daily, and the bed very comfortable. It was a little warm at around 20°C, and the thermostat didn’t seem to lower, but opening the window solved this easily. The room was also very quiet.

Facilities were excellent, including a minibar (charged), kettle with teas/coffees, a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, safe and reliable free Wi‑Fi. The lifts were fast and rarely busy. Breakfast was exceptional with a huge selection and is definitely worth adding to your booking. The lobby, bar and dining areas were beautifully decorated. The rooftop bar was closed during our stay, but you can still access the rooftop itself, which made for a great place to view the aurora.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had no issues during our stay, and the hotel happily stored our luggage after checkout while we waited for our late flight. The location was perfect, with most tours departing about a 15‑minute walk away. The cable car is around a 30‑minute walk, but it takes longer because the views are so stunning you keep stopping for photos!

Overall, the hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay again.

Cons: extremely uncomfortable way too soft bed, small room size, very little daily cleaning (almost no difference)

extremely non engaging front desk (apart from one filipino lady, the rest are all on 5words maximum kinda vibe), NO room service everything you need to go down and ask (don’t have a iPad or phone to call the front desk)

minimalistic to the max for a £380+ per night hotel, is not like bad just is nothing much to provide

A great hotel at a great location. It was extremely clean, tidy, comfortable and ideal for anyone visiting Tromso for either leisure or business. From someone who is a picky eater and regularly struggles with breakfasts when travelling, I didn’t here. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choice, premium food/drink and the staff were really helpful and friendly too. When we next visit, we will absolutely stay here again!

Our flight got cancelled so we couodn’t get to Tromso on the 27th. I tried to call the hotel at least 10 times to see if we could move the stay to a different night but got disconnected everytime I called. Something was wrong with the hotels answering options. The fact we couldn’t talk to someone at the hotel was incredibly frustrating.

The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and we had a great time at the arctic spa. However, given the price of our stay I would expect a much higher level of customer service. Some staff members were extremely polite and helpful, but others seemed annoyed that they had to interact with guests. I had a truly negative experience on Christmas evening with a bartender named Sandra who was frankly rude and disrespectful to myself and other guests. It was very disappointing and, along with some other staff member’s overall attitudes toward guests, left me with a bad taste. Because of this, I’d look into other accommodations if I came back to Tromso.

The staff were very helpful and had lots of suggestions for day trips. Breakfast was fantastic with Norwegian and international foods. Our bed was made everyday and we got new towels when we needed them. I’m not a big fan of the shower design without a shower door as the water gets everywhere, but I realize that this kind of shower is the trend. Dinner at their restaurant was also amazing but I was very troubled to see whale on their menu. All in all a modern and comfortable hotel and great home base for all the excursions you can do in the area. I would stay there again.

Staying here in Tromsø was an absolute delight. The restaurant served exactly what we needed—delicious, satisfying meals that hit the spot every time. Our suite was impressively spacious, with plenty of room for our daughter to sleep comfortably on a single bed in the main living area. One of the highlights was the outdoor wellness area: the sauna, plunge pool, and spa bath were exceptional and made for a truly memorable experience. To top it off, our Aurora tour picked us up right outside the hotel—so convenient! I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Tromsø.

The hotel was really stylish with amazing amenities. I have a very serious feather allergy. I always check ahead and make received a reply saying this was \"no problem\". After the first night my eyes were swollen shut and I needed a lot of medication. I discovered the (very stylish) yellow throw on the bed was full of feathers. I advised the staff who immediately removed it. That was it. No apology. No \"here's some champagne to wash all the tablets down with\".
Maybe it's a Norwegian thing?
If you don't have any allergies - totally visit this hotel. The rooftop is great (for Northern Light spotting). The breakfast was brilliant. Wide selection. High quality. We also used the gym (very nice) and the restaurant which was also very good indeed.

Do not book this hotel ** warning**

Do not book this hotel. I made a reservation last week through hotels.com and mistakenly booked for September 2 instead of October 2. I didn’t receive an email or text the day before I was supposed to check in like I do with every other hotel I book and then didn’t realize my mistake until I received an email thanking me for checking in (which I didn’t of course). I contacted the hotel immediately but the wouldn’t help me move my reservation. If this is how they treat all customers beware!

I stayed at the hotel with my husband for 5 nights and, as soon as you walk in, you feel that you made the right choice. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and very chic, with a welcoming atmosphere that makes a great first impression.

We stayed in a standard room and I did find the size a bit small. Although it was comfortable, I think it could be slightly larger to better accommodate movement and winter clothing, especially for guests traveling to cold destinations.

The breakfast is exceptional — one of the best I’ve had in any hotel. Everything is very well prepared, with great variety and quality.

The hotel is also very quiet and comfortable, and the staff were extremely kind and attentive throughout our stay.

The terrace is a big highlight and really adds to the experience. One suggestion would be to allow a bit more flexibility in the use of the spa, as it currently requires scheduling and an additional fee.

Another suggestion would be to offer simple late-night snacks for guests returning from Northern Lights tours, such as soup or something light. Many tourists go on these tours and after 10 pm almost everything in the city is closed.

Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend the hotel.
